2. Who was Talos?
In Greek mythology Talos was a bronze giant, the guardian of Crete
island. Minos, king of the island, had instructed Talos to supervise the
island, keeping away all enemies who try to land there, or to stop all
citizens without king’s consent.
Everyday he walked along the island armed and he didn’t have fear of
anything! He had got an incredible force (he could launch a very big
stone without any pain) and he didn’t hesitate to throw himself into the
fire and after crashing on his enemies, obviously burning them.

4. The legend
Talos was invincible but not in a point of his ankle,
where there was the only vein that contained his
blood. The legend tells that when the shipping of
Argonauts came on the island, he was made crazy
by Medea and killed by Peante that hit his vain
with a shot of arrow. Another version narrates that
the giant died for the spillage of blood, caused by
the impact of the ankle against a rock.
5. But…who were the Argonauts?
The argonauts were a group of 56 heroes that started
the conquest of the golden fleece.
6. What was the golden fleece?
The golden fleece was the mantle of a lamb capable of
flying that Hermes gave to Nephele.
7. And…what was the Argon?
The Argon was built by “Argo di Crespi” with the help
of the goddess Athena.
