1. Class Management: Routines and Procedures
Learn Lots, Make friends, and Have Fun!
These are a few of the important routines we practice each
day. By following these, listening, and working hard in class
each day you will have a tremendous school year! I can’t
wait to get started!
TableLeaders: Responsible for getting materials (text
books, paper, whiteboards, etc.) and putting them away.
RestroomBreaks: We will use the restrooms just down the
hall from our room. These restrooms are shared by 1st, 2nd,
and 4th graders, so remember your manners and the fact
that you are the oldest students in the school and will be
looked up to as an example of how to act.
Hallway: We will walk quietly and together whenever we go
to another class or location in the school. We will not disturb
other classes’ learning as we move through the building.
Homework: Independent reading and spelling are nightly
assignments. Typically homework consists of assignments
students did not have time to finish in class. Students are
encouraged to use the web sites highlighted in our class web
site.
Snack: Plan on bringing a healthy snack each day to school.
We have a late lunch and you will need energy to learn and
do your best.
Class Supplies: Pencil boxes, extra folders and papers, and
other school supplies will be kept in your locker. You will
bring in your planner, homeworkfolder with
completedwork, and a book to read each day as you
enter the room in the morning.
2. Getting Help when the Teacher is Busy
There will be times when you will need help and I’m busy
with another student. When this happens, reread directions,
ask another student at your table, and try again on your
own, repeat this process if needed.
Telephone Use
Phone use is only for an emergency.
Expectations:
1. Be prepared
2. Listen respectfully
3. Respect others and their property
4. Work hard and do your best
5. Be involved
Our Motto:
Learn lots, make friends, and have fun!
