  1. 1. Flexibility in the Preparation ofDaily Lessons•Teachers of all publicelementary and secondaryschools will have more time forthe preparation of necessarysupport instructional materialsand student-centered activities
  2. 2. Guidelines:•Teachers who have been in the service formore than two (2) years, private schoolexperience included, shall not be requiredto prepare detailed lesson plans (DLPs).•They may adopt the Daily Lesson Logs(DLLs)LessonLearners’ MaterialsRemarksOther Activities
  3. 3. Guidelines:•Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) contain the following entries:Lesson – as cited in the TG/TM reference materials withthe page/s numberLearners’ Material Used- such as ActivitySheets, Modules, other materials with the page numberreferenceRemarks – indicating number of learners withinmastery level; number of learners needingenrichment/refinement lessonsOther Activities – include the interventions given to thepupils who did not master the lesson in the previous day

  5. 5. Guidelines:•Teachers with less than two (2) yearsteaching experience shall be required toprepare DLPs which shall include thefollowing:  Objectives  Subject Matter  Procedure  Assessment  Assignment

Teachers’ Guides (TGs) /Teachers’ Manuals (TMs)•Teachers may make modification of/orderivation from the TGs/TMs whenevernecessary to suit the learners’ abilityprovided that the learning standards andcompetencies are met.•They are encouraged to enhance the TGsto provide activities that will develophigher thinking skills.
  7. 7. DLPs / DLLs shall be written in thelanguage of the TGs/TMs•Grade 1 teachers need not translatethem to the Mother Tongue (MT)•The use of MT as Medium ofInstruction must be strictlyfollowed.
