Its function deals with selecting,
recruiting, training, employing and
retaining employees. These tasks
can be made by one person or a
department with the CEO of the
company.

It’s responsible of getting stock
supply and sales through the
marketing department (that can be
found with a sales function or in a
different department, depending on
workload).

According to its activity and workload, a
company may have more departments to
distribute the tasks that are more specific to
its sector.
