Khan Academy is growing everyday.
The Khan Academy team works closely with schools whose teachers, students, and administrators are constantly providing valuable feedback that aids in product development.
Data is Key!
Personalized - Artificial intelligence on the site determines where students are struggling or succeeding and recommends new (or old) topics accordingly. So many students enter the classroom with many deficiencies in different topics. Using Khan Academy, students are able to work on topics they need to work on without burdening the teacher with an overwhelming amount of work. Teachers are able to view students’ progress and assign topics to students accordingly.
Mastery Based – Students and teachers are provided with real-time data regarding the progress a student is making on any particular topic. Struggling students will receive pre-requisite topic suggestions on the site, and teachers can address issues directly.
Interactive – Teachers can easily access reports that show them how each student is doing in every topic. This can aid in setting up smaller, more focused groups as well as pairing up students for peer-tutoring. The informative data has been a major aid for many teachers who have implemented Khan Academy in their classrooms.
