2. The first step to making my contents page was by creating a project where I
entered the layout name, 3 columns for the guides and ticked the facing
pages box. I then dragged two of the new page icons in the box to make a
double page spread layout as shown above.
3. Once I made the project I made the background black and white
because it is one of the colours I have chosen for my colour scheme.
I also inserted the main image on the left hand side and blown it up
so it fits one of the pages.
4. Next, i included a masthead where I used the artists name and
made it a 3D effect so that it is clear and stands out to the
audience. I also included the magazines name in the top
right hand corner or the page so that it looks professional.
5. Then, I included a introduction to the article which is used to give an
insight into what the article is going to be about. I made the artists
name a different colour with it outlines so that it stands out and is
clear to the audience who the article is about.
6. The next step I did was to import the text of the interview I have
previously typed up on a word document. For this I made sure that
there is a drop capital and a drop quote so that it is more similar to
an actual music magazines double page spread.
7. I added another drop quote, but this time on the image to give a little
more insight into what will be discussed within the interview.
8. A few little things I added include the page number so when the
reader is trying to find this page it is easy for them to find. Also, I
made sure to include the magazines website and social media logos
so that if the audience wants to fins out more about the magazine
they can.
9. The final few things that I included were changing the page number to the correct
one, including a white box at the bottom of the interview which is used to inform
the audience what the artists tour tickets come out and I then included my name at
the bottom on the page so that it follows the codes and conventions of a real music
magazine front cover.
