different pages. The colour has been used effectively, the
colours black and red has been used on the contents page and
has used on the double page as well, this points out that the
colour in this music magazine is continuous, throughout the
magazine. The phrase “Rap Rader” suggest the reader of what
kind of music the artist Jay Z sings. This is an advantage for the
reader to know this at the start of the magazine. The date
“July 2016” suggests the time the music magazine was
published.
Additonally,The bold text is a serif text that suggest the
heading of the double page, this gives the reader a little detail
of the page. The main image on the contents page suggests the
music artist on the page and how this will attract the reader by
the centre image covering the whole page , this will
specifically attract black male reader. In addition, it may also
attract females this is because there is a medium/close up shot
of a male artist which may draw the female audience. The

about the magazine. This is conventional because it
highlights to the reader a summary of the text below.
Also the layout is conventional by the magazine being
set out in sections that makes it easier for the reader

of this is that it makes the reader know where to start
reading. The colour scheme is between grey, red and
black. The purpose of this is to make the images
clearer and to make the text colour. This makes it
obvious of the colour scheme throughout the
magazine. The title of the double page has overlapped
the contents page that suggests the title is for two
pages, the text is white that stands out with the red
background, also informs the audience of the content
of the page which makes the magazine page

from. The footer, date suggests when the music
magazine was published and this is and advantage for
the reader. The pull quote is a display element which
is used to attract the rear and break down long blocks
of text.
