2. What is a self-introduction?
• A self-introduction explains in limited set of words directly to
an audience, who you are, what you do and what others need to
know about you.
• It could be at the beginning of an interview, or while attending
a meeting, or while networking with new connections or even
while giving a presentation.
3. • It is essential to create a near-accurate image of yourself
in their mind that they feel comfortable and courteous
while interacting with you.
• So provide all the relevant information about you. It
should be simple and impressive as well.
5. 1. The First Sentence
• The first sentence of your self-introduction should
include your name and job title or experience. If you’re
unemployed and seeking a job, you might mention your
educational degree or current place in your job search.
Eg: “My name is Sreeja, and I’m a recent computer
science graduate from University of Kerala.”
6. Family
• You may talk a few sentences about your family.
Eg: We are four members in our family. My father
is a doctor, and my mother is a social worker. I
have a younger brother who is pursuing his B.Tech.
7. What have you studied?
• Give a brief account of your educational background
such as your school, graduation, post-graduation and so
on. Mention extra-curricular activities you have been a
part of.
Eg: I am a native of ….I have done my schooling from
Attingal. For my graduation, I chose Xyz program at
Abc University. It was a very enriching experience at the
University as not only we were actively involved in
practical projects, but also got opportunities to
participate in a number of sports and other extra-
curricular activities such as plays and skits.
8. Who you are (as a professional)?
• It is always a good idea to identify some worth-
mentioning professional traits before your interview.
Eg: I have a thorough understanding of Sales planning
and business development. I have been mostly involved in
establishing effective client relationships.
I have also developed a superior understanding of
customer service and customer relationship with the span
of time.
9. Values and Beliefs
• What character traits do your friends, family, and
colleagues count on you for?
• What are the top three things you value most? Why?
• What core beliefs do you live by? Why are these things
important to you?
10. Passions, Dreams, and Aspirations
• What is the biggest dream you have for yourself?
Why?
• What are you currently doing to achieve your
dream?
• What are your passions and aspirations?
11. Skills and Achievements
• What achievements are you most proud of?
• How and when did they happen?
• What do people count on you for most?
• What skills and strengths do you bring to the table
