 The word Information , Education , & communication
have individual menanings, when grouped together as
“IEC” , They are familiar to many within the field of
health communication.
 IEC initiatives are grounded in the concepts of
prevention & primary health care.
 IEC is the process of learning that’s empowers peoples
to make decisions , modifying behaviors & change social
