1.0Introduction
By doing this assignment, I learnt to analyse, evaluate, and apply business theories and concepts to business decision–making. Meanwhile, I also learn
to effectively communicate information and arguments mainly in written form.
I have chosen three companies that had undergone managerial decision. They are Tesco, Coca–cola and last but not the least AIA–ING.
Tesco's managerial decision is under Human Resource Management, Coca–cola is under Marketing Management and AIA–ING is under Operation
Management.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to my lecturer, Madam Farahida for guidance. In addition, I would like to
appreciate my family for giving motivation and support to complete my assignment. Furthermore, I am very grateful towards my friends who help me
in the process of collecting data and information. 2.0Case One : Tesco's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

A Comparison Between Advertising Agencies’ and Pr...
A comparison between advertising agencies' and PR agencies' internationalization motives and entry modes – Eight cases from Sweden
1. Abstract
The firm internationalization literature is extensive, but dominated by studies of technical, often large, firms. The service firm internationalization
literature is slowly growing. Few international contributions are found investigating the advertising industry and no such studies focus on the Swedish
market. The PR industry has been internationally neglected. This study investigates four advertising agencies and four PR agencies in the Swedish
market. The eight case agencies confirm traditional internationalization motives, but also new motives are found, such as the foreign ... Show more

Lastly, these authors used quantitative research method, which generally limits the freedom of the respondents in answering questions. The Public
Relations, PR, industry has been internationally neglected. A possible explanation to this neglect is that this industry has been assumed to be the same
as the advertising industry. The gap in research should by now be evident! Despite a growing body of service literature, the internationalization of the
advertising industry and the Public Relations industry in Sweden has remained unchartered territories for research. The internationalization motives
and the entry modes for the advertising industry in USA are somewhat known, but the PR industry is neglected internationally. The link between
motives and entry modes in the advertising industry is blurry even from an international perspective and the latest contribution was released in year
1990. Furthermore, it is unclear what importance the concept of psychic distance (Johanson and Vahlne 1977; Johanson and Wiedersheim
–Paul 1975)
has for the international expansion in these industries and if and how business contacts
5
enables these industries to internationalize (Johanson and Mattsson 1988). Additionally, there is no recent research focusing on these industries after
the globalization of services and the enhanced importance of services in the World and in Sweden. Finally, acase study approach has not been
conducted yet in this matter. The Dissertation

A Report On The Energy Project Programme
Assignment A
During the summer of 2014 I took part in the Energy Project programme, I was paired with a small heating–engineering company, Global Celsius
solutions. The company had recently developed a cheap, rugged and reliable water boiling system, the "Jompy" boiler. The system itself took
advantage of compact heat exchanger design principles incorporating a high surface area, minimising the footprint of the system without sacrificing
overall performance, the boiler was capable of producing water in excess of 70oC within a matter of 5–7 seconds(from my own experience with the
boiler). The overall aims of the project included:
1.Researching possible rental markets, with an emphasis on sustainable development.
2.Effects of transport ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of the hiring of the local partners is to take advantage of their knowledge of the local populace, for example if a potential customer has a
reputation of looking after their belongings and being good on their word concerning their repayments, then a set minimum deposit would be
implemented, and vice versa for a person notorious for abuse of equipment and poor money management. The key would be to ensure that the monthly
repayments would remain consistent. After approximately 8 months the "Jompy" is paid off, instead of increasing profitability of the scheme after this
benchmark all excess repayments are invested back into local development and infrastructure (schools, education fees, stationary etc). My task was to
investigate potential problems faced by the model and if any companies had successfully implemented like–minded schemes. To accomplish this, the
potential problems of the model had to be identified in this case one of the main problems involved initiating an honest and mutually beneficial
relationship with these Sub–Saharan local communities. This came in the form of formulating potential marketing strategies and suggesting forms of
engagement towards those who would benefit most from the product. Another of the main goals

The eminent scientist and Nobel Prize winner Sir Peter Medawar once wrote:
'Scientific papers in the form in which they are communicated to learned journals are notorious for
misrepresenting the processes of thought that led to whatever discoveries they describe. '
You will have read (and maybe even written) many 'case histories ' describingmarketing success
stories. In your opinion, does the Medawar comment also apply to them? If so, what would be a
more accurate description of such a process? (Please avoid the purely theoretical and abstract as
far as possible.)

Sir Medawar is suggesting that in an ideal world the figures and research processes
that lead to these figures would be transparent, absent of bias and void of subjectivity. The
conclusions drawn, an accurate, honest review of the activity that would be shared with the client.
The "discoveries" would be based on neutrally sourced information in the "scientific journal" (or
more aptly, the agency deck...)
The language in Sir Medawar's quote is perhaps too strong and no self–respecting agency and media
space owner would survive long enough in this business if they gained a reputation being "notorious
for misrepresenting the processes" that leads to the conclusions shared with clients. However to
suggest companies and individuals will not tweak arguments and data presentation to rose tint a
campaigns performance, or embellish their contribution to brand success stories, is not only bad
business sense, It is affront to self–preservation imbedded in human nature.
While you cannot "polish a turd", you can most definitely accentuate your contribution to marketing
successes, as well as emphasize aspects of success from lower performing media campaigns. If you
can't? Well, let's pretend it never happened. "New Coke" anyone?
A key part of this quote seeks to explore the relationship between "causation" and "correlation" in

Lessons In SEO And Site Migration: A Case Study
This article is about demonstrating the importance of making sure that one has a detailed SEO strategy as part of their site migration plan and process.
The case study explains what the writer of the article learned about SEO and site migration thanks to what he refers to as the ?catastrophic results?
from his own personal experience with SEO and site migration.
The main lessons that the writer of the article learned from this case study is that one needs the right people and the right tools in place in order for a

Sleep Well Motel
Case Study #1
The Sleep Well Motel
In April 1990, Will Shelton was evaluating information received from the owner of a motel that was for sale in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Will had
answered an ad in the Wall Street Journal under the heading "Business for Sale." To Will's surprise, he received a call directly from Hank Bennington,
the owner of the Sleep Well Motel of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
During the conversation, Mr. Bennington described his motel and his reason for wanting to sell. He also described the many advantages of living in
Colorado and promised to send Will more information on his company. The next day an overnight package of information arrived at Will's home.
Background on Will Shelton
At 44 years of age, Will felt that he had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, Mr. Bennington said he wanted to be perfectly candid. He said that after the car accident he failed to keep as close a watch on the
business as he should have. Mr. Bennington admitted that he felt ill at ease in the field of marketing and felt the company would need strong direction
in that area. He went on to say that Will should be a "natural" to manage this type of business.
After skimming the material, Will became increasingly enthused about the possibility of owning and managing this motel. He knew there were many
additional questions he would need to ask in his next phone conversation. At the moment, the most exciting part was the possibility of living in
Colorado and being his own boss. Will knew he would have to develop a list of penetrating questions to ask Mr. Bennington and also knew he needed
to study the financial sheets in detail. That could come later. For the moment, Will was picturing himself on the slopes of Colorado's beautiful
mountains gracefully skimming down the snow.
Questions:
1.Discuss the pros and cons of Will Shelton owning and operating the Sleep Well Motel.
2.Do you believe that Will's marketing/marketing research background will be of great assistance to him in running this motel? Why or why not?
3.Why do you suppose Mr. Bennington said that Will's marketing background would be a real

Some researches argued that case study method does not provide the complete picture and provides a weak reference (Luck, Jackson, & Usher,
2006) (Meyer, 2001) (Thomas, 2010) (Tight, 2010). To address the problem raised by some researches, the study uses multiple case studies with
different scenarios in the media industry i.e. two different issues in the organization and how managers and team responded to the problem. Using
multiple cases provides richer data, more insights and key knowledge points that sometimes are missed or overlooked in the first case (Bhattacherjee,
2012). Similarly, the generalizability can be improved by performing the two different case studies under the same neutral settings. It helps to come to
conclusions and findings in a comprehensive way (Bhattacherjee, 2012). Three interviews per case are conducted involving an expert and manager
involved in the Business Process IT Decision making, an expert involved in the Business Process IT implementation and one specialist involved in the
other business processes that have direct impact on the final outcome of the business process, for example after the BPIT decision making and BPIT
implementation, it is really important for the marketing team or the sales team to come up with the concurrent plans to support the other business
processes. The dual interviews help

Marketing have the five different phases of the evolution from the beginning: the Simple trade era, the sales era, the marketing department era, and the

The Simple trade era
In this era everything is available in the limited supply because in this era everything was handmade or harvested by hand. In this era people exchange
their goods for their needs. This thing is replaced by the Production era.

This is the time of industrial revolution in which they were not trade like the old days. In this they were trade with the money. The production of the

The two case studies of RetailMax provided a very thought provoking situation that is very relatable to the everyday business world for leaders. The
case studies displayed the decision, emotion and struggle that Kessel had to face while determining what he could offer to Archer for her to join his
team. Mangini had the monetary benefit, but was not able to offer personal satisfaction that Archer had established for herself. Potential power is

An external applicant would not know of the debate and decision of deciding between the two jobs offers. He or she would not know the social
structure and the company. This would be a positive benefit due to the fact that if Archer chooses one of the positions, either Kessel or Mangini will
have hard feelings towards Archer or the other party who she decided to take the job. Mangini made the decision seem as a competition when he
challenged Kessel to "win" Archer's decision. Kessel should appeal emotionally to the benefits of the position to Archer. Kessel's position is one that
is a long term career move where she would have longevity with the company with the opportunity to move upward within the organization. This
position also gives her the leadership opportunity that she desires, as well as nominal travel. She would be basically stationary which would be very
welcome to her after her long stint of extensive travel for RetailMax. This case study allowed for a real possible situation in the realm of leadership. I
was able to analyze the situation with enough information to form an opinion, scenario and outcome for Archer, Mangini and Kessel. I feel this was a
touchy and difficult situation and the ultimate decision was Archer's. This exercise allowed me to see how difficult some decisions are at the highest
level of leadership.

BMF Media Internship Report
Before beginning this internship at BMF media, I came up with two different evaluation proposals. These were certain ways to prove that I
accomplished my goals. My first evaluation was in terms of my goal that was to participate and plan an event to tell a story for the client. The tangible
evidence I stated that I would submit will be documentation of the process of planning the event along with photos and outcomes of the event through
social media.
My second evaluation was connected to my goal of connecting and working with specific influencers on a personal level. I said that my tangible
evidence would include documentation of meetings along with emails and notes for the steps of the project that we were working on with a client. ...

I have multiple case studies that I have proofread, started on my own, or just added photos and summaries to. Acase study was something we had to
create for the client before and after an event. This would also help us in knowing what is best for the future and what went wrong during the
event. Before the event we would have a case study that consisted of digital pictures and examples of what the venue would look like, and then the
one after the event that would have pictures of the event, the food and possibly review of the events. Another piece of documentation was the big
project I worked on throughout all 3 months at my internship. This was an excel sheet of about 2,000 brands, throughout my weeks at BMF I
searched for the right personal contacts for these brands so we could reach out to them. Some other evidence I have is notes that I had to take from

Designing A Product And Operation Procedures
In terms of future career, the case study equips me with the knowledge necessary to design a product and operation procedures that brings the best out
of the entity by offering consumers non–compromised products and services. Value adding draws the difference between the best organizations and
those that are lagging behind. Today, technology is a highly essential element of thebusiness setting. It changes with every wake and consumers would

Other projects where I can manifest my knowledge in as far as adding value is concerned are projects related to boosting consumer loyalty and
building a good market share. Therefore, it is imperative that I don't look at the case study as something that comes and go, but as something that
provides me with knowledge necessary to handle future projects that I might encounter in the course of my studies. What I have learnt since the first
case study and how I would have improved the learning experience?
From the first case study, I have learnt various elements of the external and internal business surrounding. In terms of external environment, what stands
out is the significance of external environment scanning in the day–to–day entity operation. What stands out in as far as the internal environment is
concerned is the role that adding value plays in the modern business. What I would have done differently during the process is an analysis of more
organizations and industries. Conclusion drawn from a wider scope of information sources is more reliable. Therefore, an improvement to the earning
experience would significantly involve increasing the number of organizations and industries covered. Other learning would involve direct interaction
with experts in the field of external environment scanning and adding value. This will avail a more practical overview of the two.

Ethics Case Study Paper
Is pleasing the customers, and telling them what they might want to hear, more important than being honest with them? When clients ask the company
for reports, their main interest should be to get a thorough and comprehensive analysis. If they were only looking for a confirmation of what they
wanted to hear, they should not need the research.
This case study review will show that ethics and honesty are more important than pleasing the customer. When Greg was given revised numbers, and
was asked to rewrite the report to match the changes, he was put in a difficult situation. He just recently joined the organization, and is likely still

Elizabeth is likely struggling from two perspectives. She has to follow directives of the company owners, in this case Mr. Collins, although she
might not agree with the decision. At the same time she is the one that has to explain the change to the analysts. Kouzes and Posner (2012) found
that "Before you can be a leader of others, you need to know clearly who you are and what your core values are. Once you know that, then you can
give those values a voice and feel comfortable sharing them with others" (p. 17). Elizabeth's behavior is not ethical, but she is in a similar position as
Greg. Obey the orders, get the analysts to change the report, and have the outside computer firm revise their printouts, or risk getting written–up or
terminated.
I would be surprised if this was the first time such a redo of a report was ordered by the owners. This has an overall negative influence on the
company culture and values being communicated. If employees feel that unethical actions are being performed, it taints all messages being
communicated. Kouzes and Posner (2012) stated that "If you don't believe in the messenger, you won't believe the message" (p.

Understanding Leadership And Empowerment Of The Workplace
Annotation
Ba, B.–G. M. (2015). Understanding leadership and empowerment in the workplace. European Scientific Journal, 11(35), 342.
Critical Summary of Article Employee empowerment has become an important strategic tool used by leaders of the 21st century. According to Ba
(2015), a recent change in management style has led to the empowerment of employees in the workplace creating a situation where empowering
followers is an assumed responsibility of all leaders and thought to be a motivational tactic. The relationship between leaders and employee has
become more strategic than anytime in business due to globalization. Leaders must understand how to use employee empowerment. Ba suggest, a
negative view of a leader can hinder performance; therefore, exploring the aspects that guide followers to develop a positive image of their leader
establishes desirable outcomes, and can create a positive view of a leader. Employee empowerment is tested to see if it is the key in aligning
organizations systems, processes, people, practices, encourages creativity, innovation, problem solving, and problem resolution within a control
framework that is beneficial towards many important aspects (Ba).
Critical Analysis of Research Method
The researchers used a survey process in order to gain results. Stated by Ba (2015), a survey style method was administered to 637 customer service
engineers within the same industry whose firms switched from a classical management style to an

The 21st century has come with big changes to production processes within Global Value Chains (GVC) as different stages of production are being
conducted in a variety of different countries. Businesses have been locating their operations internationally in the past few decades through
outsourcing and offshoring value chain activities such as production, marketing, design and distribution. (Global Value Chains, 2015) The purpose of

world environment. Loyola's mission statement states that "We are Chicago 's Jesuit Catholic university– a diverse community seeking God in all
things and working to expand knowledge in the service of humanity through learning, justice, and faith." Under this statement, students are reminded of
engaging themselves with the community and provide service that can help the community and demonstrate God's faith over all purposes. Through the
commitment of "learning, justice, and faith", as a student, I am inspired to do more as a person for the community. As an international student, I am
very grateful of being able to participate in the Engaged Learning Community of ISOM (Information Systems Operations Management), and earn more
knowledge and awareness of the case study provided in class.
Our Engaged Learning Community group was given the opportunity to participate with The Catholic Charity of Chicago, a group committed to help
the less fortunate and the people with need of income. In accordance to Loyola's mission, Catholic Charities helps the community regardless the
background people seeking for assistance may come from. They are willing to provide assistance through funds, referrals, case managements,
emergency shelter, clothing, food pantry, information on government benefit screening, basic needs, and social services.

People called the SWOT analysis to the SWOT matrix; it is very helpful for producing a series of alternatives for a company and an organisation or

The first thing I would do would be to applaud Martha for her work alone and then hire an actual marketing strategy team. Marketing strategy is too
big of an area to cover with only one person. You need other people to focus on different areas that set up the marketing logic. The best control
procedure would be the strategic control. The company needs to first set a better basic strategy and then continually check if it matches the
opportunities. This changes how the company approaches the marketplace. Another control that would work well would be the

What Is The Case Study Of Under Armour
Under Armour Case Study Analysis
MRKT 5000 Online Course
Name
Case Summary
This case study is about Under Armour, a company that deals with the manufacture and sales of all forms of sportswear and accessories. The company
has had great sales in most of its products like moisture–wicking shirts and athletics shoes. Despite this, the company still holds only 5% of the market
shares, trailing behind Nike, Adidas and Asics. Moreover, the company posses low financial strength such that it cannot launch multiple products in
multiple categories at the same time like its competitors. One good thing is that the company has a chosen to follow a pricing strategy in order to hit its
targets in the market. For example, it is developing sports wear and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will start by establishing whether the products offered by competitors are of the same nature, or whether they are pricing in the same range. This
is important because the company still has two weaknesses. The company has a slim financial strength and a slim market share (5%). If the company
makes a mistake of over pricing, it may lose the already existing customers as well as the market share it has. The competitors are also likely to use
their financial strength to fight the brand in the market. Therefore, Under Armour Company should evaluate the competitor's prices vividly and ensure
that they retain their market share.
Question 3
I would recommend that Under Amour to use cost–based pricing strategy. The new shirt equipped with LED lights seems to be very sophisticated and
attractive. The pricing should focus on the value of the shirt and convince customers to buy it. If the company descends son demand–based strategy, it
will be upon satisfaction that customers have become aware of the brand and its advantages fully. A competition–based strategy would not work well as
its competitors have a larger financial strength. Under Armour should focus on building its financial strength in order to increase its market share and
new brand awareness.

As you probably know, Bigg–Glowbell (BG) is one of the largest drinks and beverages companies in the world. It is a market–focused company and
prides itself on being responsive to customers' needs. Its philosophy is, "The customer is king." BG started as a small, family–owned company and has
grown into a major global corporation. Here are BG's historical milestones: 1896 8 May 1896: Bigg–Glowbell is incorporated, based on Arthur Bigg

This is where the main problem(s) the company is facing is stated, normally it is one to three points that describes the issues. It is important as a
standalone because it is the main issue. Even if you gave the company you are studying this it would still be valuable to them. It is the diagnoses. The

four to five parts are completed. The rest branch off of this. Which makes it the most important part of the whole outline while being the shortest part.

This is the section where the SWOTs (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats) are done. This is done in order to understand the entities of

be fixed. Such as in BigSpaceship, when the CEO did not know which category the company fell in. The SWOT could have provided the
information for him to realize this and perhaps come up with at least one solution to his issues. When this part is compiled with the other sections it
serves as a description to the areas that need to be fixed or left alone. Each section plays its own roll, this one is a description.

Chad's Creative Concepts Case Study
1. What types of decisions must Chad Thomas make daily for his company's operations to run effectively? Over the long run?
Chad Thomas needs to make sure daily manufacturing schedules are aligned with the current orders. The fact that the same set of employees and the
same set of tools are being used to manufacture both the custom and the standard pieces of furniture is definitely problematic. In order to meet the
demands of each product, it is critical that scheduling be created in the most efficient of manners given the current constraints. Allocating all the

The custom line has taken priority, however, due to the higher dollar sales, and the standard lines products were often left temporarily incomplete till
the custom orders were met. This is a significant problem because the consumers of the standard furniture expect lower lead times and lower prices.
3. How has the move to producing standard furniture affected the company's financial structure?
The profits have increased for the company with the custom line accounting for 60% of volume and 75% of dollar sales according to this case study.
The standard line has seen a continued increase in sales as well. What comes with the increased profit due to the increased manufacturing is the need to
put higher amounts of capital into storing the higher inventory. With the company being at capacity, the lead times may not be meeting consumer
demands either. The expansion that is needed would initially cost Chad's Creative Concepts greatly. Without some type of expansion (which would
most likely require a new plant), soaring inventory costs will need to be attended to.
4. What might Chad Thomas have done differently to avoid some of the problems he now faces?
Perhaps Mr. Thomas should have studied and evaluated what pursuing a standard line of furniture in addition to maintaining the custom line of
furniture would

Lipsle Analysis Case Study
A STEEPLE analysis is a strategic marketing tool that allows business owners to take a closer look at the external factors that could affect the day to
day running of the business. The external factors a STEEPLE analysis includes are sociological, technological, economic, environmental, political, legal
and ethical.
After reading the (EMA, 2016) case study, it was clear that sociological factors affect Leon substantially. One factor that has affected Leon is
education; this is due to the new training programme, Wing Tsun, Vincent has adopted in a bid to improve performance, reduce wastage and promote
staff wellbeing. Since starting, Leon's baristas have knocked 30 seconds off their time which is now 4 minutes 30 seconds to make 6 perfect ... Show

Additionally, another factor that I found within the (EMA, 2016) case study was that Leon plan to open its first site outside of the UK, which will be
located within Amsterdam's Schipol airport and will be the first of a few sites within northern Europe. This will impact Leon greatly as increasing the
number of chain restaurants will be costly at first but then will provide further income which will boost their economic growth.
After reading the (EMA, 2016) case study, I found that environmental factors affect Leon but not a substantial amount. For example, Leon's new
training programme, Wing Tsun, is not only a way to improve performance but also to reduce wastage. This new programme was introduced after
Vincent, the co–founder of Leon, stated in an interview that 'the purpose of business should be to make the lives of humans and the health of the planet
better.' Therefore, by introducing the new programme that helps reduce the wastage of Leon's restaurants, Vincent's company is helping the health of
the planet.
Leon may have political factors that affect their business on a day to day basis but there wasn't any relevant information in the case study regarding
politics. Therefore, I can't comment on how political factors affect Leon.
A legal factor that was present in the (EMA, 2016) case study was taxation, particularly the 'sugar tax'. Leon has put the 'sugar tax' into practice by

Introduction
One reason many startups fail is poor marketing. Due to minimal finances, startups are restricted from using a lot of traditional marketing methods that
are often associated with high costs.
An alternative strategy that does not require expensive financial resources and can help a company shine through the countless number of competing
campaigns is guerrilla marketing.
But is guerrilla marketing the only answer for start–ups?
The aim of this dissertation is to contribute to the research on the phenomenon that is guerrilla marketing and answer the following: What is guerrilla
marketing and is it the only answer for start–ups?
In order to answer this effectively, we must first understand what guerrilla marketing is. The work of Jay Conrad Levinson will be used as the
foundation for this paper as he is widely considered the godfather of guerrilla marketing, after first coining the term in his 1984 book 'Guerrilla
Advertising'. Other sources will then also used to create an unbiased understanding in addition of guerrilla marketing and the theory surrounding it.
A multiple case study exploring three unconventional campaigns from three different companies is used as a basis for

Research Question
Although a big part of German exports consist of low–technology products, almost all research about factors influencing internationalisation of new
ventures, has been done focusing on companies that operate in the high–technology industry. The environment in which these firms operate is very
different from the environment in which low–technology firms operate. High–technology firms face high R&D costs, short product life cycles and
mostly operate in niche markets (Knight & Cavusgill, 2004). These conditions are very different for low–tech firms (Evers, 2010). Here, R&D costs
and product life cycles play no significant role. Since studies about new venture internationalisation are so heavily grounded in the high–tech sector,
little is known about the factors that affect the internationalisation of firms in the low–tech sector. This raises the possibility that past findings do not
generalize equally well to all economic sectors (Zahra & George, 2002). Furthermore, little research has been done about how environmental factors
influence new venture internationalisation, and more research is necessary to find out how these factors influence early internationalisation
(Fernhaber, 2007). Environmental factors are factors that a firm cannot control, and that are part of the external environment they operate in (Zou and
Stan, 1998). These factors can have a significant push and pull effect on new ventures to internationalise

e.Build relationships. One of the important aspects of Social Media is building relationships with followers, important groups and influencers. We
recommend creating a list of target press, analysts, customer groups, industry groups, partners and other influencers. One of the key goals is to start
conversations and create/nurture interest in your skills and services. This is a key area where we recommend some additional strategies. While social
media can generate some B2B leads, its strongest potential lies in helping to nurture leads and move them down the funnel.
Content Recommendations:
Euclides has a solid foundation of original and curated content that covers the technical, service and business advantages Euclides offers. There is a
good mix of blog posts, white papers, e–books and thought leadership content. Euclides is already doing a great job using catchy titles and "tips"
content. We see a couple of areas for improvement.

Abstract
The paper focuses on Entrepreneur's Marketing Source (EMS), a workbook idea owned by Brent Banda. The study analyses the two options available
to Brent on which the future of his company depends. The first option is the strategic alliance with Imagine and the second option is to work on
workbook which will deal with marketing related issues for small and medium size businesses for example proper advertising and product
development. The advantages and disadvantages related to the options are discussed with a final recommendation based on personal opinion.
Strategic Alliance with Imagine Alternative As stated in thecase study, Brent is not a graphic designer, thus he relies on other local companies to
create finished ads and web pages. Recently he was approached by a design firm he has worked with named Imagine with a business offer. With
Imagine willing to let EMS share a rented office space & the client referral promise, the offer seems worthwhile but it has its own advantages and
disadvantages. The first advantage that Brent has with the alliance is that he will not have to struggle to look for customers for the reason of Imagine
being an established business with a hefty number of loyal customers. Brent will have access to clients much larger than those he has at present. The
second advantage

Marketing Research Case Study: Sperry/MacLennan Architects and Planners
Introduction
Marketing Research can be designed for many scenarios. It is often referenced in existing companies to understand how clients purchase their product,
competition or how to best communicate with the audience. This type of research is also necessary in a successful world–wide expansion as it provides
a company with a blue print of how to grow. This paper will examine a global expansioncase study and how to perform marketing research in a global
economy.

business since 1988 and is very strategic in making ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Key Issues
When a company desires to expand globally, there are several business decisions to make. The physical expansion can often enough be one of the
greatest initial challenges, but then it is followed by cultural adjustments, new laws and borders. In the case study of the Sperry/MacLennan
Architecture firm, the company's desire to globally expand could present problems to implement as by not considering other key markets.
The architecture firm is focused on growth and desires to design two sports facilities per year post expansion. Often when companies are in a major
expansion time, they may not take the necessary steps to fully research all options. The Sperry/MacLennan Firm is no exception to this. The company
desires to jump on what seems to be a great opportunity, however, may not be investing in the necessary resources to research it properly. Other
markets that should be up for consideration are parts of Europe or other areas within the United States (McDaniel, Jr, 2007).
The United States is one of the largest economies in the world. When the country thrives, there is great opportunity and when the country is pained
with recession the entire world feels it. A potential challenge in expanding into the United States would be finding opportunities to build. The company
has chosen to focus on sports facilities, and within the new target market they see great

Marketing Philosophy Essay
As a marketing professional, entrepreneur and teacher, I want to inspire students to master a broad range of marketing concepts. I want to demonstrate
how marketing is used to sell products and services, persuade individuals and companies to change their behavior and to potentially change the world.
I believe that the best way to learn is to have an interactive learning environment. In my classes, I will present a concept for discussion and reinforce
the concept with an in–class group exercise and homework assignment. I ask students to display name cards each class so I can call on them by name,
which helps foster a more personalized discussion.
I teach by example by drawing on case studies, articles, student's personal experiences as well as my own and others. I want students to talk, to
participate individually and in groups so they can learn from each other while building on their ideas.
I kick off the semester with a case study on how databases, advertising, interactive or integrated marketing can be used as a persuasion tool. I might ask
students to research: "Who was Jack O'Dell and how did he use marketing to change the world?" This leads students on an internet hunt, a brief paper
and then an in–class discussion within the context of the syllabus for that week.
If we are having a discussion on how to develop a database, students will interview each other in class to generate information that then leads to an
in–class exercise on designing a data table, and

Abstract The firm internationalization literature is extensive, but dominated by studies of technical, often large, firms. The service firm internationalization literature is slowly growing. Few international contributions are found investigating the advertising industry and no such studies focus on the Swedish market. The PR industry has been internationally neglected. This study investigates four advertising agencies and four PR agencies in the Swedish market. Lastly, these authors used quantitative research method, which generally limits the freedom of the respondents in answering questions. The Public Relations, PR, industry has been internationally neglected. A possible explanation to this neglect is that this industry has been assumed to be the same as the advertising industry. The gap in research should by now be evident! Despite a growing body of service literature, the internationalization of the advertising industry and the Public Relations industry in Sweden has remained unchartered territories for research. The internationalization motives and the entry modes for the advertising industry in USA are somewhat known, but the PR industry is neglected internationally. The link between motives and entry modes in the advertising industry is blurry even from an international perspective and the latest contribution was released in year 1990. Furthermore, it is unclear what importance the concept of psychic distance (Johanson and Vahlne 1977; Johanson and Wiedersheim –Paul 1975) has for the international expansion in these industries and if and how business contacts 5 enables these industries to internationalize (Johanson and Mattsson 1988). Additionally, there is no recent research focusing on these industries after the globalization of services and the enhanced importance of services in the World and in Sweden. Finally, acase study approach has not been conducted yet in this matter. The Dissertation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Critical Summary of Article Employee empowerment has become an important strategic tool used by leaders of the 21st century. According to Ba (2015), a recent change in management style has led to the empowerment of employees in the workplace creating a situation where empowering followers is an assumed responsibility of all leaders and thought to be a motivational tactic. The relationship between leaders and employee has become more strategic than anytime in business due to globalization. Leaders must understand how to use employee empowerment. Employee empowerment is tested to see if it is the key in aligning organizations systems, processes, people, practices, encourages creativity, innovation, problem solving, and problem resolution within a control framework that is beneficial towards many important aspects (Ba). Over the long run? Chad Thomas needs to make sure daily manufacturing schedules are aligned with the current orders. The fact that the same set of employees and the same set of tools are being used to manufacture both the custom and the standard pieces of furniture is definitely problematic. In order to meet the demands of each product, it is critical that scheduling be created in the most efficient of manners given the current constraints. Allocating all the resources properly is a key along with scheduling and layout. In regards to long term decisions, Mr. Thomas is going to have to decide... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The custom line has taken priority, however, due to the higher dollar sales, and the standard lines products were often left temporarily incomplete till the custom orders were met. What comes with the increased profit due to the increased manufacturing is the need to put higher amounts of capital into storing the higher inventory. With the company being at capacity, the lead times may not be meeting consumer demands either. The expansion that is needed would initially cost Chad's Creative Concepts greatly. Without some type of expansion (which would most likely require a new plant), soaring inventory costs will need to be attended to. 4. What might Chad Thomas have done differently to avoid some of the problems he now faces? Perhaps Mr. Thomas should have studied and evaluated what pursuing a standard line of furniture in addition to maintaining the custom line of furniture would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lipsle Analysis Case Study A STEEPLE analysis is a strategic marketing tool that allows business owners to take a closer look at the external factors that could affect the day to day running of the business. The external factors a STEEPLE analysis includes are sociological, technological, economic, environmental, political, legal and ethical. After reading the (EMA, 2016) case study, it was clear that sociological factors affect Leon substantially. One factor that has affected Leon is education; this is due to the new training programme, Wing Tsun, Vincent has adopted in a bid to improve performance, reduce wastage and promote staff wellbeing. Additionally, another factor that I found within the (EMA, 2016) case study was that Leon plan to open its first site outside of the UK, which will be located within Amsterdam's Schipol airport and will be the first of a few sites within northern Europe. This will impact Leon greatly as increasing the number of chain restaurants will be costly at first but then will provide further income which will boost their economic growth. After reading the (EMA, 2016) case study, I found that environmental factors affect Leon but not a substantial amount. For example, Leon's new training programme, Wing Tsun, is not only a way to improve performance but also to reduce wastage. This new programme was introduced after Vincent, the co–founder of Leon, stated in an interview that 'the purpose of business should be to make the lives of humans and the health of the planet better.' Therefore, by introducing the new programme that helps reduce the wastage of Leon's restaurants, Vincent's company is helping the health of the planet. Leon may have political factors that affect their business on a day to day basis but there wasn't any relevant information in the case study regarding politics. Therefore, I can't comment on how political factors affect Leon. A legal factor that was present in the (EMA, 2016) case study was taxation, particularly the 'sugar tax'. But is guerrilla marketing the only answer for start–ups? The aim of this dissertation is to contribute to the research on the phenomenon that is guerrilla marketing and answer the following: What is guerrilla marketing and is it the only answer for start–ups? In order to answer this effectively, we must first understand what guerrilla marketing is. The work of Jay Conrad Levinson will be used as the foundation for this paper as he is widely considered the godfather of guerrilla marketing, after first coining the term in his 1984 book 'Guerrilla Advertising'. Research Question Although a big part of German exports consist of low–technology products, almost all research about factors influencing internationalisation of new ventures, has been done focusing on companies that operate in the high–technology industry. The environment in which these firms operate is very different from the environment in which low–technology firms operate. High–technology firms face high R&D costs, short product life cycles and mostly operate in niche markets (Knight & Cavusgill, 2004). These conditions are very different for low–tech firms (Evers, 2010). Here, R&D costs and product life cycles play no significant role. Since studies about new venture internationalisation are so heavily grounded in the high–tech sector, little is known about the factors that affect the internationalisation of firms in the low–tech sector. This raises the possibility that past findings do not

Recently he was approached by a design firm he has worked with named Imagine with a business offer. With Imagine willing to let EMS share a rented office space & the client referral promise, the offer seems worthwhile but it has its own advantages and disadvantages. I want to demonstrate how marketing is used to sell products and services, persuade individuals and companies to change their behavior and to potentially change the world. I believe that the best way to learn is to have an interactive learning environment. In my classes, I will present a concept for discussion and reinforce the concept with an in–class group exercise and homework assignment. I ask students to display name cards each class so I can call on them by name, which helps foster a more personalized discussion. I teach by example by drawing on case studies, articles, student's personal experiences as well as my own and others. I want students to talk, to participate individually and in groups so they can learn from each other while building on their ideas. I kick off the semester with a case study on how databases, advertising, interactive or integrated marketing can be used as a persuasion tool. I might ask students to research: "Who was Jack O'Dell and how did he use marketing to change the world?" This leads students on an internet hunt, a brief paper and then an in–class discussion within the context of the syllabus for that week. If we are having a discussion on how to develop a database, students will interview each other in class to generate information that then leads to an in–class exercise on designing a data table, and ...
