Inc. 4 4 Types of data center Core activity Retail Wholesale colocation Hyperscaler Direct, private interconnection between a large number of diverse end-customers, each housing small but mission-critical networking & computing deployments in the DC Hosting of digital infrastructure for a limited number of end customers, each occupying a large amount of space within the data center, and interconnecting infrequently Housing of digital infrastructure for a single company’s business operations. No provision of direct private connectivity between end customers. What is interconnection? Interconnection is the direct & private exchange of traffic between two or more parties, inside a carrier-neutral colocation data center By bypassing third party networks and the internet, data exchange with business partners is: Faster (data does not have to travel as far) More secure (data cannot be intercepted) More reliable (fewer potential points of failure) Less expensive (no need to pay for an intermediary network) Every leading digital company needs this service. Globally, bandwidth provisioned for interconnection is 15x larger than the internet itself, and is growing at 40% per year (1) Level of Interconnection Digital businesses choose Equinix robust private connectivity to their service providers and business partners Interconnection is the core activity at Equinix data centers

© 2023 Equinix,
Inc. 7 Singapore Adjacent Markets to benefit from the DC moratorium Singapore’s moratorium cap on IT capacity has led to unmet demand within Singapore, creating opportunities for nearshore cities, namely Johor Bahru and Batam which have emerged as alternatives for businesses to expand their existing digital infrastructure. 7 While both Johor and Batam have accessibility to Singapore, availability of land and power, support from SG government and local government, we believe Johor with the added advantage of land connectivity and green energy potential is a preferred option for various DC users. Johor Bahru data centre market boomed in 2022 with DC providers and hyperscalers announcing their entry following each other, taking the market total IT capacity to over 900MW (including Live, Under Construction, Committed, and Early Stage categories). Inc. 8 …Equinix envisions to develop a strong ecosystem in Johor, to position Johor state as a suitable alternative to Singapore as a data centre hub for the region 8 Our Singapore business has attracted customers who drive traffic 25,000+ interconnections Our customers are focused on exchanging data and generating traffic, as evidenced by the number of interconnections. 13 submarine cables Equinix connects to 13 submarine cables. This neutral approach makes it the destination of choice in Singapore’s connectivity hub. 2.5x more networks hosted Equinix Singapore host 2.5x more networks than all other Singaporean data centers combined. 850+ customers Our focus on interconnection and being a neutral, multitenant data center has attracted a large customer base in Singapore. Singapore is a leading connectivity hub and digital ecosystem not only in the APAC region but also globally. Given the capacity challenges in Singapore, Johor has an opportunity to emulate this ecosystem.

Equinix’s Singapore operations across our five data centers and corporate offices add significant economic value • In 2021, Equinix contributed SG$ x billion to the Singapore economy. • We provide or support nearly 3,500 jobs in total.

May 2022 Whether a company’s core focus is online streaming or high-frequency trading, faster data transfer speeds over private connections enable businesses to offer higher quality products to their customers Revenue Protection Some business models would not be possible without private, direct connectivity. For example, the Monetary Authority of Singapore requires a dedicated room in Equinix to run FX matching platforms at super high speed Innovation Equinix’s diverse ecosystem enables business to be less reliant on single service providers Resilience Direct private connections are deployed in seconds without relying on intermediaries to deliver changes thus enabling adjustments in real time. Enterprises can future-proof IT by deploying hybrid configurations and creating direct connectivity for critical functions Agility & Optionality 70% of enterprises regard security as their top concern when computing in the cloud1. In contrast, direct, physical connections are inherently private and secure Security Direct private connections eliminate the need for third-party IP transit providers. Equinix Singapore’s customers collectively save an estimated SGD $530M per year in IP transit costs2 Cost Competitiveness

Target launch in Q1 2024. • Johor, due to its proximity to Singapore has the advantage to benefit from the capacity constraints in Singapore. Equinix is in discussions with multiple Singapore customers for expansion into JH1. • Currently there is no significant interconnection ecosystem in Johor, with Singapore and KL only as the major nearby hubs. Equinix intends to link JH1 to the ecosystem in our Singapore campus to accelerate the building of an ecosystem in Johor. The success of such an Equinix DC ecosystem will be in line with the ambitions to position Johor state as an upcoming focal point as a data centre hub for the region. • Singapore’s colocation data centre live IT capacity currently stands at 1,227MW and is currently close to full occupancy and observed a peak vacancy rate recorded at 1.89% in 2022 – The Rise Of Johor Bahru and Batam: Singapore's Spillover Markets DC Byte Market Spotlight Using Johor as a first entry point to Malaysia…

PeeringDB.com Equinix is planning to extend its Singapore Equinix Internet Exchange (IX) platform into Johor as part of a single campus network. § The Singapore EIE platform is the largest IX platform in the APAC region which currently holds 24% of all the region's IX capacity and supports 80% of Southeast Asia's direct eyeball connectivity. § Of the 530 networks inter-connected in Singapore, there are 480 which are not present in Malaysia via local IX platforms. § Access to this IX platform will reduce IP transit costs while improving network latencies and performance. Equinix’s exponential growth in internet exchange traffic and capacity clearly demonstrates the Equinix business model is pivotal in attracting traffic

Cloudscene leaderboard, 1H 2022 Access to Equinix’ ecosystem and platform will reduce IP transit costs while improving network latencies and performance While DC operators in Malaysia will have local cloud on-ramp availability, Equinix's competitive advantage is to not only provide customers with similar in-country connectivity, but also access to cloud platforms (and other 3rd party cloud-based services) in many major cities globally. This supports the building of complex and distributed IT infrastructure which our customers require and value as a standard service offering at all Equinix IBX facilities globally. Our FabricTM service is a consumption-based and on-demand global digital platform to connect between our 50+ data centers (and extended via partnerships already connected on our platform), providing access to over 1,300 3rd party digital & cloud- based services in APAC, and connectivity to major public and private cloud on-ramps globally. Equinix plans $1.7 million in additional investment in connectivity to clouds and international cables if Equinix is granted permission to expand capacity. Connections are enabled on demand, in minutes thus enabling enterprises to increase IT agility and effectively manage costs. Equinix Fabric provides a private, secure interconnection leveraging international subsea cables. Equinix FabricTM Equinix is uniquely positioned to do this. 13 of Singapore’s 24 existing subsea cables are already accessible at Equinix, and 8 of 11 upcoming cables have engaged Equinix to arrange access.
