Project Description
Problem: There is a large occurrence of teens that are contracting STDs in the Metro
Atlanta area.
Your Task: Create a Teen Safety Initiative that addresses this problem with a cohesive
program that can be used across the service area.
Unit Essential 1. Should sex education teach more than abstinence?
Questions: 2. Are teens catching STDs because they are not informed about symptoms
and safety?
3. What can be done in schools and communities in order to make teens
safer?
4. Should there be health clinics/full time medical staff inside of high
schools?
5. Do we need more community health centers?
Unit Objectives: 1. Identify the STDs that most often affect their demographic
