Summary
Currently I work for KOC in Kuwait, as Senior Drilling Engineer in the Drilling & W.
Over Department,. Since Oct-2008. I was formerly working in AFPC oil & gas company
(joint ventured Shell and Syrian Petroleum Company) as Well Services Operation Senior
Supervisor, HS&E focal point and Well Completion and Drilling and Work over.
AFPC was operate over than 600 wells in Omar fields; these wells are different types of
Oil producers with single, dual completions, Beam pumps, ESP’s, water injection, gas lift
wells .., and different hole shapes : vertical, deviated, HZ and multilateral .
My current task in KOC is to monitor and follow up operations of the assigned 2-4
drilling & WO Rigs.. programming, planning, solve tech. troubleshooting, reporting to
TL, insure all required equipment & materials stock are available onsite ahead, prepare
for meetings and discussion planning and drilling troubles, and review programs….
continually trying to improve drilling performance and learn from successes either from
mistakes.
I have been over 29 years in Oil & Gas business, gaining my experience by hard work in
Drilling/W.O and Well Services/Completion operations continual development and good
demonstration.

Description of Senior DrillingWork over Engineer
· On daily basis,follow up my assigned drilling Rigs and solve drilling problems:
· Recently accomplished 2 Multi-Lateral-level 4 wells, completed with ICD and
smart completion,
· Performed Horizontal, Deviated and Vertical wells with different completion
types:, ESP, Dual, Single Selective and Single packer and Smart completion.
· For every single well I Prepare detailed drilling, work over & completion
procedures as per 2PP , including of casing, Tubing, wellhead designs, mud , bits
program based on best performed Cost/Ft (in offset wells), hydraulics , directional
plan and logging. Study offset well data for potential drilling problems and
follows up well performance comparing by the bench mark well in the field.
· Reviews, analyze lab test of cement slurry & mud designs before get approval for
final program and utility.
· Recommends revision and changes in the directional drilling plans as necessary,
to ensure the well objectives / targets are not compromised were close liaison is
always maintained with the Drilling Supervisor, Field Development geologists
and directional service company
· Arranges for all required drilling services &communicate assigned contractor
regarding well activities IE cementing, casing /liner services logging, coring ,ETC
· Prepare for all official meetings as daily, weekly, and monthly, final well drilling,
work-over and completion. HSE, CII,…..ETC
· Take an active role in the training and development of assigned UD’s Engineers.
· Keep on well data recording in files (hard & E) are updated and maintained as
reference well records and data basement. This drilling information system is
maintained accurate and representative.
· QHSE issues are well managed and updated, to follow up action points then to
close same.

Responsible for:
Follow up on well Rig-less operations on daily basis IE: C/Tubing-N2 lift,
Stimulation, W/Lines, PLT, Perforations, WH maintenance, BP…ETC
· Planning, programming, Reporting, arrangement & optimization with
Production Technology and other concerned teams (drilling, reservoirs…)
· Supervise the completion equipment for assembling & testing in the
contractor workshop before sent to the Rig
· Review the procedures for making up, testing and transport of the
completion to the Rig site.
· Prepare for all required completion components, BP and WH equipment
as per program.
· Scheduling and execution of all Well-Head maintenance & req. repairs.

· Responsible for the correct disposal of NORM contaminated equipment.
· Review AFPC –HSE procedures and updated were applicable for the well
services operations.
· Liaise with the contractors to ensure correct procedures for NORM
handling ,and F/U for materials decontamination to return to work again
· Focal point for the incident reporting.
· Coordinate the near misses reporting on monthly basis.
· Review on a monthly basis the incidents /near miss reports with the
contractor’s safety officers.
· Focal point for the Well Services contractors on HSE.

· Responsibility for preparing the completion sub-assemblies in AFPC
(Owner Company) workshop starting by issue material from the store,
clean and drift sub-assemblies , thread inspection, function test for
SSD, Nipples, SSSV… . T/Up as per recommendable make up torque,
Hydro-P/tests, prepare a box of completion accessories IE: extra
coupling, ring gasket, tie raps Pup joints, X. Overs..) before Send to
the Rig as per procedures,…
· Redress and maintain all reusable back load equipment from the Rigs
to be use it again, after got the proper certificates from the specified
vendor .and make the required function &P. tests in some cases.

· Fully responsible and direct supervision As a Co-Man for all routine and non
routine works on a drilling rig 24X7 X28 on and 28 off including:
· Management of all type of operations, during drilling business, reporting
and updating the base on call whenever required.
· Follow up the drilling procedures step by step w/drilling office, discuss
and improve the quality of work learning from mistakes &success.
· Mud monitoring during all drilling stages & changing the Mud type when
it required.
· Follow up well directional plan, to be sure of smooth hole trajectory and
meet the target accordingly.
· Keeping all operations under control by good planning ahead, and well –
preparation for instance, ordering Bits, Casing, Tubing, Cement, etc. ahead
· Do all required calculations, and prepare for well control sheet, FIT,
hydraulics.
· Fishing operations, twist off pipe, wash out, stuck pipe. Monitor the well
carefully during POOH for wiper trips, logging or Run Casing…ETC,
· Performing all routine safety exercises such as H2S,fire drills, first aid and
rescue injuries… for all rig crews. Toolbox before any hazardous job.
· Scheduling of HSE personnel training,
· Keeping a good filing and reference system for drilled wells.
· Held morning meetings with all key staff on the Rig on daily basis, and
discuss ongoing operation and plans, HSE, Mud, Logging, Stocks...
· Prepare the monthly report, on rig performance.
· All operations are to be done with HSE and Good Cost management.
· A good handover on rig with the relief, and a written copy will be keep it
on H/Over records.
