2. My role in this position:
 Control all operations performed under his supervision ensuring they are carried out in
a safe and efficient manner.
 Responsible for ensuring the Floor man and Derrick man are correctly deployed for
ongoing and upcoming operations, and that they are familiar with the equipment in use
and its safe operation.
 At the beginning of their shift, they verify the position of the valves on all circuits and
on the choke manifold.
 Ensures Daily Inspection of Derrick/Mast is performed.
 Execute instructions from the Driller and Toolpusher.
 Ensure the drilling operation is carried out as defined in the approved Operator’s
Instructions and Drilling Programme, and the operation is executed in accordancewith
Drilling Operation Manual and RSWMs.
 Responsible for ensuring the Drilling Crew perform Planned Maintenance on drilling
equipment thoroughly and timely, and that it is recorded on the PM sheets.
 Carry out daily checks to include ensuring the choke manifold is properly lined up for
the current operation.
 Carry out derrick inspections and Dropped Object Checks thoroughly and timely,
document the results and ensure any anomalies are reported and rectified.
 Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping in all the drilling areas.
 Complete sections of Daily Drilling Reports as directed by the Driller.
 Calculate and record drilling line ton miles.
 Complete casing check lists.
 Maintain an accurate pipe tally.
 Maintain an accurate and complete record of all equipment which enters the well.
 Update the pre-kick sheet.

3.  ABRAJ ENERGYSERVICES – MUSCAT OMAN,
RIG 103, FLOORMAN AND DERRICKMAN – 28.SEP2014– 26.JUNE 2015.
My role in this position:
 monitors and maintains all drilling fluid systems and equipment associated with
drilling oil and gas wells from an offshoredrilling unit; directs and coordinates work
actives associated with drilling fluid system and equipment operations and works aloft
in the derrick and/or at rig floor piperacker consolerunning and retrieving drill string
sections from the well bore.
 Maintains mud properties as determined by drilling program.
 Monitors mud pit level and advises Driller or loss or gain.
 Directs mud flow (circulation) from mud pits to hole and return as directed by Driller.
 Assists in drill pipe handling from monkey board (other) while tripping into or out of
hole.
 Monitors trip tank as required by the operation and advises Driller of unforeseen
changes in level.
 Assists on rig floor as required.
 Receives and ships dry bulk mud materials from supply boatto properbulk storage
pods.
 Assists cementing subcontractorrepresentative with cementing operations as directed.
 Performs routine rig maintenance as required with specific attention to: pump room
equipment and mud pits.
 Operation on various pipes handling equipment while making pipe connections,
tripping, testing, etc.
 During periods when the drill string is on bottom drilling, assists in preparing
additional drill pipe, collars, or special tools to be run into the hole. Also at this time,
rig floor equipment is examined and serviced. Tools, equipment and supplies are
obtained and made ready for the next phase of the operation. Prior to completing the
well, the drilling crew is responsible for retrieving the drill steam and BOP equipment
such that the well can be plugged and abandoned or completed.
 All equipment is to be returned to its properstorage location and made ready for us
again or replaced if damaged
