am presently as Operations Manager

Work Experience:
A. Abraj Energy Services From 2007 -Till date
Currently working with Abraj Energy Services S.A.O.C as Operations manager and managing 8 rigs
running with two different clients (CCED , Petrogas and Oxy) following tasks:
 Looking after drilling rigs operation and communicating with Clint at high level.
 Supervises all drilling operations in the drilling division
 Supervises the Drilling Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of the Rigs
 Supervises the application of appropriate well control measures
 Takes decision on maintenance and upgrading of existing Rigs
 Prepares Annual Budget for the Dept. and execute it.
 Prepare business case for any upgrade
 Prepare business case for any new Equipment.
 Liaise with clients for major operations
 Chairs the monthly meeting with clients
 Represents Abraj in client monthly meetings
 Provides motivation to supervisors and crews
 Supervise adherence to safety policies and procedures
 Provide leadership
 Maintain relationship with customer’s representative
 Control budget and inventory for drilling rigs operation

2.  In conjunction with Drilling Superintendents, monitor and control Site Operations and related
activities as per the contract.
 Budgeting, Financial planning and Cost Control
 Approve all purchase orders and payments within the ‘delegation of Powers’
 Responsible for liaison and co-ordination with the client
 Keep track of all write off.
 Review Technical Specification for new rigs, hoist and prepare
 Meeting with clients and check work progress and monitoring for new rigs & Mud Tank System and
rig camp.
 Aware with QHSE (Quality Health and Safety Environments)
 Going to rig visits every month for a week to check drilling operation.
 Assist Technical manager in ensuring all assets number will be fixing and entering to the system
by using CMMS system.
 Review API and ASME standards to meet new building rig specifications as per standard.
 Ensure that the drawing conforms to the specifications and standards.
 Following up CAPEX for new coming projects with technical analysis review. Also following OPEX
for other projects.

During my previous work experience I worked with 3 different companies such as:
1. Schlumberger rigs:
 Worked as Roustabout, after that promoted to a floor man, then moved to derrick man
position, next to MUD tester and finally to Assistance driller.
2. MB rigs (Drilling Oil and Gas):
 Worked as Assistance driller and got promoted to Driller.
3. KCA DEUTAG rigs (Drilling Oil and Gas):
 Worked as Driller and got promoted to Assistance rig manager and afterward promoted to
rig manager.
4. Abraj Energy Services S.A.O.C :
 Worked as Drilling superintendent and got promoted to Operations Manager

Handling Projects:
Handling entire project and worked as a project manager to manage and follow up on all
commissioning procedures with assistance of project team in the head office for new building rigs.
commissioning in manufacture yard (NOV yard) to ensure all rig equipment’s and assembling including
Rigging up and rigging down are working in a good condition and effective manner without any problem
while commissioning, meets Abraj HSE requirements, code and standards and testing and apply on
final stages Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to ensure all parts work perfectly without any problems
and issues with all rig equipment’s:

3.  Rig specification Auditing to meet safety and manufactures standards such as: IP15, ASME, API
standards
 Commissioned Rig 205, Rig 206, Rig 207 and Rig 208 (From April till 5th Oct) Following items:
 Worked with: Mast max 12 line capacity, Drawworks 2000 HP, Mud pump FD-1600 HP, Rotary
table, Pipe Cat, Utility winches, Man riding winch and Iron roughneck ST80, Reset valves (Pup of
valve) and 3” High pressure lines 1502 and Cement lines, Mast dolly and Substructure with pipe
set pack capacity: and CAT Engine and Generator set 3512B 1100, Traveling block with 450 tonnes
and NOV Top drive system TDS 11 with 800 HP.
 Ensure that all sizes of hoses and pipes are fit proper with Stands pipes manifolds and Mud Tank
System while commissioning.
 Handled Projects worth around 20 Million dollars for each project.
 Awarded appreciate letter for best project engineer and management rig commissioning from Abraj
company.
 Check GA and final drawing for new rigs and approve it.
 Reporting rig progress during assembling and commissioning daily and weekly reports to technical
manager.
 Going to Rig Manufacture Company NOV yard (Overseas) to check rig equipment and commission
as per HSE requirement and meet codes and standards.
 Working with Pro/Engineer and apply finite elements analysis by using software and with hand
calculation.
 Following up progress for new coming rigs (Camp and Mud tank system and rig) for OXY and PDO
and Oman oil projects.
 Working for new coming rigs and hoists as technical part.
 Working on new coming projects such as wireline, cementing and farcing. (Tendering)
 Entering Technical Bid Analysis and approved by myself and check by technical manager.
 Managing maintenance system to make sure it works perfectly on all rigs by going to rig site.
