Teens Should Have After School Jobs
Why Teens Should Have After School Jobs. When teens go into high school, they come to the point
where getting a job is an opportunity. Most teens have parents that will push them to get a job as
soon as they turn sixteen. Most non–fast food jobs only hire eighteen year olds. This causes a lot of
stress for the teen, juggling a job and school at the same time. Some teens are also in advanced
classes, or in extracurricular activities. Depending on how many hours they need to work these teens
could possibly have to quit their extra activity. Although this can be very stressful for teens, all teens
need an after school job, so they can have some experience on what the adult life has in store. When
it comes to a teen's self esteem having ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With personal growth, learning how to manage money, and making a schedule that can help sustain
good grade, a healthy sleeping schedule and personal time. Students with a job in high school will
have a lot of experience when going into adulthood. After school jobs allow students to prepare
themselves and get as much experience as possible for life after college.

Discussing Cellular Production Work And Do Not Work With...
Team building strategies are paramount in our everyday life ranging from work life to home life.
The truth it, there are various factors that must be considered whenever team building is established
or worked on. Also, there are numerous methods that are used throughout different businesses,
corporations, and organizations. This writer will be discussing cellular production method and its
different forms of team building. Then, this writer will be examining whether if this method applies
to the final project idea. This writer will also be exploring what aspects of cellular production work
and do not work with the corporation of choice for the final project. While also providing some
useful suggestions, as to how team building can improve, what it consists of? To the various aspects
of cellular production method. Also, this writer will be discussing what difficulties can be faced then
team building is being established? While reflecting on ideas obtained from 2 journal articles by
Lofgren (2012) and Calhoon (2008), and textbook by Meredith & Shafer (2013). Team Building
Team building can be established in a number of ways, it is largely dependent not only on
management but also on a willing team that wants to work together. Team building starts in
childhood and knowing how to share, and thus working together on whatever game is presented. As
life continues, team building is a large fundamental aspect in everyone's life in school to university

High School Jobs Research Paper
Position Paper What is your stance on college participation from high school graduates? Do you feel
that enrollment in college is necessary for a successful life? In the grand scheme of things, college is
not essential towards creating a life of success and prosperity. Beyond college is a world full of
alternative choices and options that are often overlooked. All jobs are important and necessary to the
overall function of our society. If everyone sought after a college degree, who would be left to do
the common jobs? We need to have construction workers, walmart employees, fast food employees,
gas station workers, and so on. These jobs play a significant role in everything we do. For example,
the roads we drive on didn't just magically appear. Nor did the groceries we buy or the clothes we
wear. All of these items came from people working in those "lesser" jobs that we overlook everyday.
Nearly 64 percent of jobs don't require a college education, yet we look down on those who fill
these jobs. Just because someone partakes in a "minimum" job does not mean they have "minimum"
skills. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every year over 1.2 million students will choose to drop out of high school in the United States
alone and about 25% of all high school freshmen will not graduate in time. For these students,
college is a waste of money and time. With so many other jobs available everyone should be able to
have a choice after high school. Although this route may cause more work and hardship in the long
run, students can still live a successful life on this path. The highest paying jobs that do not require a
degree pay anywhere from $51,000 all the way to almost $80,000 per year. When we compare this
to the lowest starting salary out of college, which was found to be only $35,700, it is easy to see that
either path can be promising. However, even these are not the only two choices

Personal Narrative: My First Job At Hamburg Area High School
Ten years ago, I took my first job at Hamburg Area High School. This high school math position
also included coaching middle school soccer in both the fall and spring. At the time, I really felt this
was perfect. I would teach mathematics and coach soccer. Five years ago, I had the opportunity to
work for the Wilson School District. Once again, I would be teaching math. Coaching fell by the
wayside as I got married and had children. After working a short while at Wilson, I came to realize
how quickly things can change and how I should always be looking to open new doors to create new
opportunities.
As my tenure progressed at Wilson, I was offered the position of grades 6–12 Mathematics
Department Chair. The new position also coincided with

Why High Schoolers Do Not Have Jobs While In School
Long hours, no free time, and lots of stress are some reason why lots of high schoolers do not get
jobs while in school. However, they only look at the down side of getting a job. There are oodles of
great reasons to receive a job while undergoing school. For starters, a student that obtains a job has a
chance to obtain work experience that numerous other higher paying jobs and career options are
fond of their employee's having. They will be making money, which all people, especially high
school students like to have. Lastly, they will have responsibilities that are more than just going to
school. It will give the student a chance to see somewhat of what it is like to live in the real world.
Several job interviewers and company owners want younger people with more work experience

They have to have their most expensive watch, or the most expensive cloths. How do they get those
items, by paying for it with money? Teenagers are most likely the worst type people at managing
money. That is why they should work a job, because at first when they have money, they will go all
willy, nilly spending money like it grows on trees. However, later after they get a job they will
realize that they need to save money for the things they want later down the road and not spend all
of the money they make right when they make it. Too often in the world, we have adults spending
their paycheck on material objects such as vehicles, entertainment systems, the biggest and best
TV`s, smarter than smart, smart phones, all things that are not necessary in life. They do not save
money, or put it aside for the things that matter such as bills, schooling, and food. That is why high
school students need jobs, so they can learn to manage their money before it is too

High School : A Community Center, Job Training, And Mentoring
In order to prevent further dropouts of high school teens, there needs to be a community center, job
training, and mentoring. Every year, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United
States alone. About 25% of high school freshman fail to graduate from high school on time. People
who dropout of school tends to get arrested or end up dead in the streets. Teen fed to realize that if
don 't go to school and get an education they would be a nobody.

They might not been inspired to work hard the lesson been taught. The school may have kicked
them out for missing to many days in school or had too many write up. Teenagers suffering from
drug addition, alcohol, and pregnancy are likely to dropout. Most teens don't think school is such an
important thing they need. The age that people dropout out of school is about when they around 16
or 17. Teens also dropout because they were failing more than one classes and had poor grades.
Drugs play a big part to cause teen to stop attending schools and have poor academics. Most teens
either smoke or drink because they think it would make the pain go away. Kids who sell drugs in
school get caught and get arrested for illegal drugs in school. Half of teenagers spends their life in
jail who either stop going to school and get arrested for drugs.
I feel like the school needs to have after school tutoring for teens who are struggling in the
classroom and who are way behind of graduating on time. If the school had these types of programs
the dropout population rate might go down 25%. The teens parents needs to take their child to a
community center or library were they can get the extra help they need in school

High School Job Analysis
Service has always been a big part of my high school career. I have grown into the person I want to
be, based on the service that I have done. With each service opportunity, I learn something new
about myself and the world around me. One of the most meaningful service opportunities I have
ever done was on Catholic Heart Work Camp, in Memphis Tennessee. I traveled to Memphis with a
group from my youth group, to perform a week of service in poverty stricken areas in and around
Memphis. My group was assigned to working in a Birthright office that was in need of cleaning, and
repair. As I started the week, I did not know any of the other teens in my group, and I was hesitant to
work with them. When we got to our worksite we were overwhelmed with ... Show more content on

By the end of the week, we had finished everything that needed to be done, and the office looked
more welcoming than ever. Another service opportunity that impacted me was helping out with my
youth groups Luke 18 Retreat. Luke 18 is a confirmation preparation retreat put on for the eighth
graders at Assumption Parish. I was blessed with being a Disciple last year; something Ive looked
forward to all through high school. As a Disciple I work directly with the eighth graders during the
retreat. We conduct small group meetings, give a testimony from our life, but most of all we become
the student's role models for three days. Leading up the the retreat, Disciples met to prepare for the
retreat at several weekend meetings. My eighth grade retreat was one of the best retreats that I have
ever attended. I wanted to do the same for the eighth graders that year so I set the bar high for
myself. The preparation leading up to the retreat can be taxing, and time consuming. The hardest
part of the retreat is the overnight preparation meeting we had, in which we were required to stay up
all night working on material for the

The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family
The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family
In today's century it is essential to have an education to enhance your job and provide a comfortable
future for your family. After having children we realize that education is significant in order to
succeed. While working takes a lot of time away from family, adding school to your schedule makes
it difficult to spend quality time with your children. The problem most people face with balancing
school, work, and family is being an excellent student, an outstanding employee, and a caring parent
all in the same day.
These chronic and systematic harms place a heavy burden financially, logistically, and
psychologically. With these three components you will first start managing your time by making a
list of your daily schedule followed by responsibility for your assignments and matters. Any
decision to leave all of your assignments for another time closer to the deadline will only help to
accumulate work that you will end up not having enough time to do. Time is a very important
resource in life, so you have to manage very wisely.
When living in these conditions it is important that you have your family support in order to
continue your journey and enhance psychological ability to accomplish your goals. When it comes
to balance work and school, there are several academic systems around the world that permit people
that are not able to attend campus to obtain their degree via internet. In addition, financially the

My High School Job
Upon receiving my state of Florida high school diploma, I plan to immediately begin working a
part–time job. I will be working this job to save enough money to go to my dream college, Full Sail
University, as soon as possible. By going to this college I can pursue my love of art and apply that to
models in video games. By going to Full Sail, in particular, I feel that I may have a better chance of
successfully getting a job in that field. I have already planned out my future, and have been doing so
since seventh grade. I wanted to be prepared by the time I graduated because I knew how quickly
the "Real World" can hit someone out of graduation.
For my future academics, I plan on attending SFSC to take Landscape and Horticulture Professional

SFSC, I can learn under my Grandfather's wing. I also have the options of learning from my mother
and stepfather, so I will never be short on work or knowledge. Since I will eventually be inheriting
my Grandfather's farm, I do believe that sticking to this profession is the best decision I can make
for my future. While it is good to plan out your future, it can be worrying if even one precaution was
not met for an unforeseen circumstance. It's worrying because that means that no matter how long
you planned your future, not everything works out the way you planned. Even with how many
safety–nets I have placed to safeguard my future, there is no guarantee that I have enough to catch
me when I fall. Even so, I feel like I have planned out my life as best as possible and am happy with
any of my planned outcomes. Whether or not I go to Full Sail, I still plan on further education at

Comparing My Two Jobs In High School
Throughout high school, I have worked two jobs that have been very different from each other. Both
of these jobs pushed me to become a stronger person, and I am thankful for the opportunities they
presented me with. My first job was at Richards Family Restaurant where I washed dishes, cooked,
and bussed tables. This job experience helped prepare me for college because it put me out of my
comfort zone. I had to walk around in a busy restaurant cleaning up tables and helping customers
while also coordinating with other employees. In addition to this, I worked under a lot of pressure
while cooking and washing dishes. It made me perform at my best while also doing so quickly, and I
believe that this experience will help me in college. My second

Why Is Job Shadowing Important In High School
Why high school does not prepare one for life?
In high school teachers do not prepare you for the things that the real world has. Life lessons should
be taught in high school, young people get out into the real not knowing life lesson skills. However,
most students are not prepared when they get out in the real world. Job shadowing your career
pathway is a good way that you could be prepared for the real world. Job shadowing your career
pathways gives you knowledge about the career field that you're going to be in. However, job
shadowing your career field in high school should be mandatory, so you know what you are going to

Applying for jobs are important, it ties in with job shadowing. Most people are not taught how to
apply for jobs, because they usually learn in on their own. Teaching you in school how to fill out
applications for a job should be more likely a bigger deal than what it is. Filling out applications
prepares you for a job, which a job is something you need to survive in the real world, however
there are aspects that come with applying for jobs. Applying for a job should be a class or a taught
lesson while you're in high school. For instance, what you should wear? How to approach the people
that are interviewing you? How to dress? These are important aspects that are not taught before
people enter the real world. However, some people come to interviews dressed any kind of way and
saying what sup instead of greeting them in the proper way, if this was mandatory to learn in high
school he or she would have been more likely prepared and knew what would come up at the
interview and would know how to approach the situation in a mannerly way. Applying for a job and
filling out applications are important life lessons that should be taught before you get out in the real
world and will help you be successful in

Quit Your Job And Go Back To School
He set his jaw and never cracked a smile. He looked at me, eye–ball–to–eye–ball, and said, "Quit
your job and go back to school." I couldn't stop laughing. During the early 1990s, I worked as a
fulltime employee at Howard University Law School. As a faculty secretary, I edited law professors'
book manuscripts. I loved raking in my own bacon, and when my husband suggested that I quit
working, just to sit inside a classroom, I thought what he said was a joke. I chuckled and I waited for
his exuberant smile, but no smile that day. I replied, "What! Are you serious?" He said, "Yes, things
will go better for you if you got your college degree." Although I attended a community college
after high school (in the 1980s), at age 33, I thought my days to chase higher education were far
gone. To stand firm upon what I thought, I was determined to dismiss any ideas to sit inside a
college classroom. The same day my husband wanted me to stop working (August 1997); he let me
tag along with him as he drove me to my job. The summer morning's aroma of fresh green grass
flooded the air. I could feel the hot sunlight, as the rays beamed down upon our car. While we fought
our way through rush hour traffic, we finally arrived at my job's main turning entrance. Before I
stepped outside of our car, my husband reiterated what he originally said, "After my numerous years

Rain in a Dry Land is a documentary about two Somalian Bantu families who are given the
opportunity to relocate to the United States in 2004 for a new start after living ten years in a Kenyan
refugee camp. These families had to flee their homes to escape the constant warfare that had plagued
their area; as a result they ended up in a refugee camp. The one family had their two daughters lost

They have to overcome the language barrier and learn to succeed in school without translators, and
when they begin to struggle they have to overcome the feeling of being discouraged. Now the six
months of assistance is almost up for them and with everyone struggling to fit in, they now have to
wonder if their little bit of "rain" will once again become a drought. For each family I have
constructed an intervention plan which "the purpose of this plan is to spell out what behaviors are
being targeted for change and how change will be handled" (no author). Through this intervention
plan, I would hopefully be able to better assist both families with their most important needs.
However for an intervention to work properly it has to be agreed upon by each individual, otherwise
"inconsistent application of any intervention is likely to result in an increase in the targeted
inappropriate behavior or result in the presentation of new inappropriate behaviors" (no author).
Once the treatment plan is set up for each family and an intervention plan is in place, then from
there, goals need to be set, weekly meetings figured out and the families/Individual's situation
assessed. The intervention plan for Aden and Madina's family is that I have decided them as the
parents need the most help, therefore I would set up for them the need for a good stable job that can

My High School Job Application
Throughout the last four years of my high school career, I spent most of my time trying and
experiencing new opportunities. I love to keep myself busy, and I did so by being actively involved
in numerous organizations. Freshman year and still currently, I have been active in Track and Field.
Freshman year I received a medal and made varsity. By the end of that year I earned a varsity letter
in Track and Field. The following year (sophomore), I had the opportunity to work at my local
hospital (Rhode Island Hospital). My job title was a patient transporter, which required me to
transport patients to and from their rooms and test sites throughout the hospital. Also, transferring
specimen was a regular task throughout the day. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to work and
witness all of the different health fields in the hospital. This job opportunity is so important to my
life because it helped me determine that I like working and helping people, but I do not like seeing
them sick and gory.
During my Junior year of high school, I became more active within my community. I joined the
NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). I spent at least four hours a
week, giving my time to the NAACP, making and giving sandwiches to people in need, cleaning

My Job Shadow At West Liberty Middle School
I had my job shadow at West Liberty Middle School and I chose this school because I have been

to teach middle school I still enjoy and learn a lot going to this school, because there's a very diverse
group of students from my different backgrounds. I feel like shadowing this school is much more
realistic to the difficulties I may encounter as a teacher, therefore I benefit from shadowing this
teacher and school. There were many take–a–ways that I encountered through this shadow. There
were many students that had learning disabilities and even students that English is their second
language. I was able to watch how these students learned through a teacher helper. This stood out to
me because in most schools when a student doesn't know English or is struggling with a certain
topic of area they learn the material in a different classroom rather than in the normal classroom. I
thought that this was very interested how they implemented this into the classroom setting. There
was an interpreter in the classroom and there were six students that could not speak English. They
sat in a group while the teacher continued as normal and the interpreter would translate. I thought
that this school in particular does a very good job at including and teaching for students that need

Another option was technical school, but even if I enrolled in some kind of vocational school, the

mind mortgages) were high, car insurance rates were high, tolls were high and practically
everywhere, parking prices in the city were just ridiculous, and even public transportation costs
would add up. In one sentence, hourly salaries were just not keeping up with the rising cost of living

High School Students on the Job Essay
High school students on the job
We spend four years of our lives attending high school. Going through high school is supposed to
prepare us for college and "the real world." Throughout these four years we begin to better
understand our choices for college majors, but we don't get presented with the financial and time
struggle that we will face. College costs money, along with everyday living. When attending college
we become more independent and are faced with the problem of coming up with money and finding
a balance between time for work and school. Though it may seem like working through high school
is a bad idea, it could better prepare students for "the real world."

the risk of struggles with money.
There are many students that have the ability to stay very focused on their educational goals. These
students tend to do very well academically and do not need a lot of stimuli to help them get moving.
There are other students who are not in the same boat. Some students become very frustrated with
the day–to–day routine of going to school. These students tend to benefit from having the option of
working outside of school. They begin to see that working hard does pay off. The feeling of
satisfaction they receive may motivate them to work harder at succeeding in school. They will
understand that though it is a lot of hard work, the more effort they put into their education, the
better off they will be. They will get higher paying jobs that suit their character if they continue to
work hard through high school and go to college.
A student's first job may not be glorious. Chances are it will be at a fast food restaurant or

student's attention that this is not what they want to be doing for the rest of their lives. If a student

Job Essay: A Good After School Job
A good after–school job Most girls and boys are dedicated to their studies only. Little do they know
that they can use their spare time to generate income and benefit other people as well. Youth has to
learn how to take advantage of their time, taking in account that everything will have a result. One
of the ways to do that is looking for a job. The majority of girls and boys go to school, which means
we would have to look for a job after school. Once we know our interests, we will realize there are
many options we can take in consideration. This activity should be fun and we have to enjoy doing
it. In my opinion, working as a baby sitter is the most common job but I do not consider it fun or
entertaining. If I ever have to work after school, I will look for a job I will enjoy. I would find a way
to work at an animal shelter, a car wash, or tutoring. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think I have a special connection with animals. It is easier for me to take care of animals than to
take care of people. Every time I see a wounded dog on the street, I get very emotional. I´ve always
said that I would take every single dog and take it home if I could. It is very hard for me to do that
because my parents no longer allow me to have pets. Although working in an animal shelter does
not mean I get to take the animals to my house, I can at least find them a home. I would be fulfilling
my desire of doing something for the animals and I would be bringing a little joy to other families.
This job does not generate any income, at least not an economic one, but I don´t mind. All I want to
do is help despite the fact I will not receive anything for it and I would be using my time wisely too.
If that is the main purpose of an after school job, what better way to achieve it than volunteering at
an animal

World Equivocal Analysis
Equivocal can be defined as, "of doubtful nature or character and of uncertain significance; not
determined" (Https://dictionary.references.com...). I, Jacob Brickner, question everything. I wonder
what people are thinking about all the time, and I question what the future will look like. At times I
find myself casually wondering into trains of thought, those of which carry me from our reality. In
the least, you could say I find the world equivocal, questioning everything, literally everything.
Philosophy and psychology call to me with such ambition, it makes me question why? Perhaps it's
the people close to me, or even those who aren't so close. Either way, the need to help others and
find answers is the closest thing to an answer. According ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Teenagers On After-school Jobs Essays
Almost every teenager wants a job, yet many people are against it. I believe teenagers should have
after–school jobs for a number of reasons. First, having a son or a daughter that works can
financially help the parents. Also, the experience the teenager will acquire from after–school jobs
will help him or her on future jobs. Finally, teenagers should have after–school jobs because it will
keep them away from trouble. Parents should realize that as long as their son or daughter wants an
after–school job and it does not affect his or her performance at school, they should let their child
have one.
Usually, families that have financial problems have their teenage children go to work. Having an
extra family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By having a job a teenager can save up for college, to buy a car, to buy a stereo, etc. Teenagers feel
'free' when they have a job: they can spend their own money on whatever they want without feeling
guilty. In addition to helping his family, having a job at an early age can help for future jobs.
When many people apply for an important job, the employer will most likely choose the person who
has the most working experience. People who have had a job since their teenage years will know
how to deal with the stress and the work better than new people. They will be able to cope with job–
related problems. This reason is very significant for teenagers who choose not to go to college, and
their only reason for getting employed is experience. Yet, the most important reason is that jobs keep
teenagers away from violence.
Jobs are very time–consuming. If a teenager works and goes to school, he will probably not have
time to join a gang or get into fights. Nowadays more and more employees are getting drug–tested at
their jobs. If a teenager likes his job or needs to work, he will not do drugs because he will get fired.
Furthermore, if a teenager receives a paycheck he will spend his earned money instead of stealing. A
job can lead a teenager to a better lifestyle and a healthier life.
I think teenagers should have after–school jobs.

Bullying Is The Job Of Parents And Schools
Bullying is when you force someone to do something they do not want to, and it can cause stress or
then leads to suicide in some cases. In " Schoolyard Bullies " by Stephanie Simon, prosecutor James
Backstrom maintains school bullies should go to jail. However, I do not think bullies should go to
jail, because there are different degrees of bullying. Some bullies are victims, and sending bullies to
jail does not cure them. Stopping bullying is the job of parents and schools. Parents play a key role
in preventing and responding to bullying. Parents should recognize the warning signs that the child
is involved in bullying. Children could be being bullied, bullying others, or witnessing bullying.
Although these signs could signal other issues, parents should talk to their children if they display
any sort of behavioral or emotional changes. Many times children won't ask for help, so it is
important to know what to look for. If the child is at immediate risk of harming himself or others,
parents need to get help right away. Just sending the children who are bullies to go to jail, and doing
jail time are not a good way to correct children's behaviors. " I understand the rationale . . . , but
incarceration is a fairly big stick," says Susan Limber, a bullying expert at Clemson University. "You
can get the same payoff with a lot less drastic measures" (Simon 2). Moreover, if the children go to
jail, they might not change their mind, even though their behavior will be

I believe that there are many benefits to getting an after school job. The down falls of getting a job
during the summer are very little to none at all that is if you can handle it. I believe that the extra
money would help you and me. The job will help me become more responsible and grow up.
Getting this job will also help me have work experience and be able to get my foot in the door floor
for another job. The Money that would be coming in would help the both of us in a great way. You
would no longer need to buy me clothes or other supplies. I would finally be able to buy my own

Job Satisfaction, Work Attitude and Stress Tolerance of...
CHAPTER I
The PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE
INTRODUCTION
Rationale of the Study
Job satisfaction is simply how people feel about their jobs and different aspects of their jobs. It is the
extent to which people like (satisfaction) or dislike (dissatisfaction) their jobs. As it is generally
assessed, job satisfaction is an attitudinal variable. In the past, job satisfaction was approached by
some researchers from the perspective of need fulfilment – that is, whether or not the job met the
employee's physical and psychological needs for the things provided by work (Cote S., and Morgan
LM, 2002).
In a report on job satisfaction by the National Center for Education Statistics (2003) revealed many
factors that contributed to higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Taking in to account that most of these teachers are working away from their home and family and
could only go home weekly, or the least once a month due to the distance of the schools they are
assigned.
However, districts located in the hinterland such as Paquibato, had most number of teacher
applicants every year. Reason of this scenario could be the fact that many teachers are applying for
transfer to the nearby schools after a one or two years of service and that applicant could be hired
easily. Nevertheless, some teachers had tenured in this district up to their retirement period and
some had flourished and raised their professional status and positions.
The ground for conducting this study is that it is intended to shed light on what influences how
teachers feel about their work and profession so that positive job–related attitudes may be cultivated.
Theoretical Background
The Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, a motivation theory, laid the foundation for job satisfaction
theory. It is founded in the premise that goals or needs underpin by being the fundamental source of
all desires.
This theory explains that people seek to satisfy five specific needs in life – physiological needs,
safety needs, social needs, self–esteem needs, and self–actualization. In the levels of the five basic
needs, the person does not feel the second need until the demands of the first

Working At Mcdonalds : School Sports And Other Fun Trips...
With prom, school sports and other fun trips high school has to offer, paying for all these actives
may not be ideal for the parent of these high school students. Getting a job can be an option for high
school students to help the student also to the parent with these experiences that are coming. Amitai
Etzioni the author of "Working at McDonalds" makes it clear, high school students with part–time
jobs does not do anything for the high school student. Amitai Eztioni believes these part–time jobs
does not teach true skills a high school student will need in the future. Even though Amitai Etzioni
strongly consider part–time jobs have no long life value, part–time jobs do prepare high school
students to develop job skills for their future because learn to maintain priorities , the student learns
the value of money , and develop life skills. In high school, students are at the age where their
priorities are all about them and their whole world involves them, themselves and maybe friends. To
say the least, their priorities are not well established or correct if they have any. When the student
gets a part–time job, like at a fast food restaurant it helps put their priorities straight. The students
start to realize in order to make the money they need to pay for what they want, they need to make
time adjustment and make real priorities. Students will learn that in order to have this job they will
need to work during the weekends since school during the weekday. Working they will

well paid jobs required more than I would have been able to offer.

Paul Jobs: Bring Your Pet To School

made a bet with his friends that he would be able to find a wife within two weeks. He met Clara
Hagopian, who was born in New Jersey after her parents fled the Turks in Armenia, and the couple
was engaged within ten days. Clara realized that she could not have children, so the married couple
looked at adoption (Issacson 28–29). Joanna Schieble was a graduate student at the University of
Wisconsin. She lived within a strict household where her father was extremely strict about dating.

Steve saw his first computer terminal on a trip to the Ames Center with his father. When he saw it,
he fell in love with it and realized he had a passion for electronics (Issacson 37). Clara Jobs taught
her son how to read before he had to go to school. This caused Steve's first years of school to be
quite boring, so he acted out. He was in trouble countless times for things such as making posters for
"Bring Your Pet to School," which produced cats and dogs running around the school and he set off
an explosive under his teacher's desk (Issacson 41–42). Ms. Imogene Hill, Steve's fourth grade
teacher, tested Steve at the end of the school year and he scored at a tenth grade level. The teachers
and administrators urged Steve to move up two grades, but his parents only advised him to skip one
grade (Issacson 43). Steve Jobs had a normal high school career: he went to school, worked, and
bought a car. Steve tried not going to college, but his parents would not let him because they made a
promise to his biological parents. He decided to go to Reed College in Portland, Oregon, which was

these jobs may surprise you. Of course the simple solution would be to become an actor or sports

Job Experience In High School Job
A significant educational opportunity that was offered to me during my High School career is a job
working at Warehouse Shoe Sale or WSS. My experience working there helped me to face
responsibility and enabled me to realize that I have excellent skills in following directions and
completing tasks. Prior to working, I didn't know if I was even going to be able finish high school,
let alone get a job. My job experience, however, made me think differently. Being able to witness
people at work, who were not as smart as I am, who were making more money than me, really
opened my eyes. I realized that if I put my mind to it, I could be successful and earn a lot of money.
The job experience influenced me to finish high school, as well as provided me the inspiration to
continue on and attend college. Attending a University will provide me with the training I will need
to eventually obtain my dream job. Additionally, I will have a degree and be able to ensure a better
and brighter future for myself and my family. Luck surely shined upon me when I was offered this
job experience in high school! Not only was I able to make a little money, I learned so much more
than just being efficient at a job.

Explain How Many High School Students Have Jobs Before...
There are many high school students who take on jobs before they head to college. Having a job
throughout any period of time of your life can be a good advantage in your personal life and future
occupation. It can help by developing skills in the work area with your coworkers and responsibility
with your assigned tasks. Getting your first job you have real–world responsibilities, and money that
you earned yourself, probably for the first time. In your teen years especially, the independence that
comes with a part–time job is especially appealing. You get out of the house, meet new people, forge
professional connections, and make your own savings and spending decisions.

I've developed my opinion on this from the experience of having a job for three years of my high

people, and to be smart with money. Time management is important in the real world to be able to
juggle all of the tasks thrown at you. With the combination of personal life and work life, it can
become difficult to be on time, but having a job has already taught me that. Social skills is another
important quality to accomplish. You won't get anywhere in life if everyone hates you. That's why it
is important to be able to deal with an angry customer or unhappy coworker. While being a cashier
you have to always think before you open your mouth, because you never know what the other
person can do. I believe this gives you good patience and helps when other people may be trying to
talk to you. The job that I've had had really turned me into a better person while having to treat

Students Should Have Jobs At School
Topic: Students Should Have Jobs while in College
Opening/Attention:
Nowadays 80% of college students work at least a part time job while pursuing their studies. For
some working while in school is a necessity, for others its simply a desire. No matter the reason
there is an ongoing debate about whether or not students should hold a job while in school. Some
say that we shouldn't because it will affect our grades and the amount of focus we pay to our studies.
Those in favor of working students say that it gives valuable real world experience and teaches
money management. Both sides make valid points
Spoken Link: As a working student myself however I agree with the latter. I believe that working
while in school is a benefit
Emotion/Story:
As I said before for some working is not a necessity but just something they do. In my case though
having a job was and is a necessity. My parents got divorced when I was 8. My mom raised my
brothers and I completely on her own, providing everything she could for all of us. As you can
imagine money was always tight so as soon as I could I began working. I got my first job, which
was at a retail store, when I was 14. I continued to work all through high school and continue to do
so now. While it has been hard at some points balancing school, work, and everything else in my life
working has benefitted me in many ways. Obviously the biggest benefit is the financial aspect of it.

Why High Schools Should Offer After-School Jobs and Mentoring

  • 1. Teens Should Have After School Jobs Why Teens Should Have After School Jobs. When teens go into high school, they come to the point where getting a job is an opportunity. Most teens have parents that will push them to get a job as soon as they turn sixteen. Most non–fast food jobs only hire eighteen year olds. This causes a lot of stress for the teen, juggling a job and school at the same time. Some teens are also in advanced classes, or in extracurricular activities. Depending on how many hours they need to work these teens could possibly have to quit their extra activity. Although this can be very stressful for teens, all teens need an after school job, so they can have some experience on what the adult life has in store. When it comes to a teen's self esteem having ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. High School Jobs Research Paper Position Paper What is your stance on college participation from high school graduates? Do you feel that enrollment in college is necessary for a successful life? In the grand scheme of things, college is not essential towards creating a life of success and prosperity. Beyond college is a world full of alternative choices and options that are often overlooked. All jobs are important and necessary to the overall function of our society. If everyone sought after a college degree, who would be left to do the common jobs? We need to have construction workers, walmart employees, fast food employees, gas station workers, and so on. These jobs play a significant role in everything we do. For example, the roads we drive on didn't just magically appear. Nor did the groceries we buy or the clothes we wear. All of these items came from people working in those "lesser" jobs that we overlook everyday. Nearly 64 percent of jobs don't require a college education, yet we look down on those who fill these jobs. Just because someone partakes in a "minimum" job does not mean they have "minimum" skills. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For these students, college is a waste of money and time. With so many other jobs available everyone should be able to have a choice after high school. Although this route may cause more work and hardship in the long run, students can still live a successful life on this path. The highest paying jobs that do not require a degree pay anywhere from $51,000 all the way to almost $80,000 per year. When we compare this to the lowest starting salary out of college, which was found to be only $35,700, it is easy to see that either path can be promising. This high school math position also included coaching middle school soccer in both the fall and spring. At the time, I really felt this was perfect. I would teach mathematics and coach soccer. Five years ago, I had the opportunity to work for the Wilson School District. Once again, I would be teaching math. Coaching fell by the wayside as I got married and had children. After working a short while at Wilson, I came to realize how quickly things can change and how I should always be looking to open new doors to create new opportunities. As my tenure progressed at Wilson, I was offered the position of grades 6–12 Mathematics Department Chair. The new position also coincided with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Why High Schoolers Do Not Have Jobs While In School Long hours, no free time, and lots of stress are some reason why lots of high schoolers do not get jobs while in school. However, they only look at the down side of getting a job. There are oodles of great reasons to receive a job while undergoing school. For starters, a student that obtains a job has a chance to obtain work experience that numerous other higher paying jobs and career options are fond of their employee's having. They will be making money, which all people, especially high school students like to have. Lastly, they will have responsibilities that are more than just going to school. It will give the student a chance to see somewhat of what it is like to live in the real world. That is why they should work a job, because at first when they have money, they will go all willy, nilly spending money like it grows on trees. However, later after they get a job they will realize that they need to save money for the things they want later down the road and not spend all of the money they make right when they make it. Too often in the world, we have adults spending their paycheck on material objects such as vehicles, entertainment systems, the biggest and best TV`s, smarter than smart, smart phones, all things that are not necessary in life. They do not save money, or put it aside for the things that matter such as bills, schooling, and food. • 7. High School Job Analysis Service has always been a big part of my high school career. I have grown into the person I want to be, based on the service that I have done. With each service opportunity, I learn something new about myself and the world around me. One of the most meaningful service opportunities I have ever done was on Catholic Heart Work Camp, in Memphis Tennessee. I traveled to Memphis with a group from my youth group, to perform a week of service in poverty stricken areas in and around Memphis. My group was assigned to working in a Birthright office that was in need of cleaning, and repair. As I started the week, I did not know any of the other teens in my group, and I was hesitant to work with them. When we got to our worksite we were overwhelmed with ... I was blessed with being a Disciple last year; something Ive looked forward to all through high school. As a Disciple I work directly with the eighth graders during the retreat. We conduct small group meetings, give a testimony from our life, but most of all we become the student's role models for three days. Leading up the the retreat, Disciples met to prepare for the retreat at several weekend meetings. My eighth grade retreat was one of the best retreats that I have ever attended. I wanted to do the same for the eighth graders that year so I set the bar high for myself. The preparation leading up to the retreat can be taxing, and time consuming. • 8. The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family The Problems of Balancing School, Job, and Family In today's century it is essential to have an education to enhance your job and provide a comfortable future for your family. After having children we realize that education is significant in order to succeed. While working takes a lot of time away from family, adding school to your schedule makes it difficult to spend quality time with your children. The problem most people face with balancing school, work, and family is being an excellent student, an outstanding employee, and a caring parent all in the same day. These chronic and systematic harms place a heavy burden financially, logistically, and psychologically. With these three components you will first start managing your time by making a list of your daily schedule followed by responsibility for your assignments and matters. Any decision to leave all of your assignments for another time closer to the deadline will only help to accumulate work that you will end up not having enough time to do. Time is a very important resource in life, so you have to manage very wisely. When living in these conditions it is important that you have your family support in order to continue your journey and enhance psychological ability to accomplish your goals. When it comes to balance work and school, there are several academic systems around the world that permit people that are not able to attend campus to obtain their degree via internet. • 12. Quit Your Job And Go Back To School He set his jaw and never cracked a smile. He looked at me, eye–ball–to–eye–ball, and said, "Quit your job and go back to school." I couldn't stop laughing. During the early 1990s, I worked as a fulltime employee at Howard University Law School. As a faculty secretary, I edited law professors' book manuscripts. I loved raking in my own bacon, and when my husband suggested that I quit working, just to sit inside a classroom, I thought what he said was a joke. I chuckled and I waited for his exuberant smile, but no smile that day. I replied, "What! Are you serious?" He said, "Yes, things will go better for you if you got your college degree." Although I attended a community college after high school (in the 1980s), at age 33, I thought my days to chase higher education were far gone. To stand firm upon what I thought, I was determined to dismiss any ideas to sit inside a college classroom. The same day my husband wanted me to stop working (August 1997); he let me tag along with him as he drove me to my job. The summer morning's aroma of fresh green grass flooded the air. I could feel the hot sunlight, as the rays beamed down upon our car. While we fought our way through rush hour traffic, we finally arrived at my job's main turning entrance. Before I stepped outside of our car, my husband reiterated what he originally said, "After my numerous years of being outside the classroom, I should consider tapping ... For each family I have constructed an intervention plan which "the purpose of this plan is to spell out what behaviors are being targeted for change and how change will be handled" (no author). Through this intervention plan, I would hopefully be able to better assist both families with their most important needs. However for an intervention to work properly it has to be agreed upon by each individual, otherwise "inconsistent application of any intervention is likely to result in an increase in the targeted inappropriate behavior or result in the presentation of new inappropriate behaviors" (no author). Once the treatment plan is set up for each family and an intervention plan is in place, then from there, goals need to be set, weekly meetings figured out and the families/Individual's situation assessed. Freshman year I received a medal and made varsity. By the end of that year I earned a varsity letter in Track and Field. The following year (sophomore), I had the opportunity to work at my local hospital (Rhode Island Hospital). There were many take–a–ways that I encountered through this shadow. There were many students that had learning disabilities and even students that English is their second language. I was able to watch how these students learned through a teacher helper. This stood out to me because in most schools when a student doesn't know English or is struggling with a certain topic of area they learn the material in a different classroom rather than in the normal classroom. I thought that this was very interested how they implemented this into the classroom setting. There was an interpreter in the classroom and there were six students that could not speak English. • 24. Bullying Is The Job Of Parents And Schools Bullying is when you force someone to do something they do not want to, and it can cause stress or then leads to suicide in some cases. In " Schoolyard Bullies " by Stephanie Simon, prosecutor James Backstrom maintains school bullies should go to jail. However, I do not think bullies should go to jail, because there are different degrees of bullying. Some bullies are victims, and sending bullies to jail does not cure them. Stopping bullying is the job of parents and schools. Parents play a key role in preventing and responding to bullying. Parents should recognize the warning signs that the child is involved in bullying. Children could be being bullied, bullying others, or witnessing bullying. Although these signs could signal other issues, parents should talk to their children if they display any sort of behavioral or emotional changes. Many times children won't ask for help, so it is important to know what to look for. If the child is at immediate risk of harming himself or others, parents need to get help right away. Just sending the children who are bullies to go to jail, and doing jail time are not a good way to correct children's behaviors. " I understand the rationale . . . , but incarceration is a fairly big stick," says Susan Limber, a bullying expert at Clemson University. "You can get the same payoff with a lot less drastic measures" (Simon 2). Moreover, if the children go to jail, they might not change their mind, even though their behavior will be ... CHAPTER I The PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE INTRODUCTION Rationale of the Study Job satisfaction is simply how people feel about their jobs and different aspects of their jobs. It is the extent to which people like (satisfaction) or dislike (dissatisfaction) their jobs. As it is generally assessed, job satisfaction is an attitudinal variable. In the past, job satisfaction was approached by some researchers from the perspective of need fulfilment – that is, whether or not the job met the employee's physical and psychological needs for the things provided by work (Cote S., and Morgan LM, 2002). However, districts located in the hinterland such as Paquibato, had most number of teacher applicants every year. Reason of this scenario could be the fact that many teachers are applying for transfer to the nearby schools after a one or two years of service and that applicant could be hired easily. Nevertheless, some teachers had tenured in this district up to their retirement period and some had flourished and raised their professional status and positions. The ground for conducting this study is that it is intended to shed light on what influences how teachers feel about their work and profession so that positive job–related attitudes may be cultivated. Theoretical Background The Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, a motivation theory, laid the foundation for job satisfaction theory.
