William Wordsworth is one of the forefathers of Romantic poetry. As an important part of the
Romantic movement and a pantheist, Wordsworth saw nature in a very spiritual sense and expressed
this through his writings (Farooq and Chandra 119). This spiritual veneration for nature was very
much out of place in a world that was moving quickly towards industrialization. As the Industrial
Revolution ensued, Wordsworth witnessed nature being destroyed in order to build and fuel new
factories. Wordsworth also saw man's once close relationship with nature disintegrate as people
spent more time indoors and working in factories. In "The World is Too Much With Us,"
Wordsworth explores the idea that man has lost an important part of its spirituality by forming a
distant and abusive relationship with nature.
The speaker begins the poem by lamenting about how "the world is too much with us" or how
human beings are becoming a destructive or ruinous force upon the natural world (Wordsworth 1).

Hypothesis: John Keats' Odes were heavily influence by Classical ideologies which related to the
wider philosophy of the Romantic Movement.
This essay will apply a Classical perspective to John Keats' Odes. I will examine how John Keats
was inspired by the ideologies of the Greeks and Roman mythology. John Keats based his Odes on
Roman myths and Greek artefacts; he used these to explore wider themes that relate to Greek
Philosophy. This essay will show how Keats related the wider philosophy of the Romantic

Benjamin Franklin, of one–hundred–dollar bill fame, once said that "honesty is the best policy"
(Franklin). This seems like a good thing, however if you use the common definition of honesty, of
never telling a lie, then I would disagree with dear Ben, honesty is not the best policy. If I had to
create my own definition of honesty to replace the common definition, I would say that to be honest,
would be to stay true. True to others, true to the world, and true to yourself. To get to how I came up

I believe we as human beings have distinguishing characteristic that we passed down to one another
since the beginning of time. Things such as the way we think, the way we feel, and the way we act.
It's what we use to provide what we receive as normal when we are judging how best to live

So basically everything is left up to the individual. This was a bit much for me to grasp or even try
understanding. I am a Christian and stand firm in my belief in God and what awaits me in the
afterlife. I know and trust in the bible when it tells me that I will be held accountable for all that I do
that is immoral and sinful. My only salvation is to pray for forgiveness and repent. I believe that
when I meet my maker I will be fully aware of what is going on and although my body, the keeper

The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Essay
Like sheep led to the slaughter; this is one of the most famous analogies used to refer to the Jews
during the holocaust. The Jews were being systematically murdered, beaten, and abused day after
day, and there was almost no refusal on their part. Almost no one fought back. This however was not
the case in the Warsaw ghetto. Throughout the summer of 1942, nearly 300,000 Jews were deported
from the Warsaw ghetto to the Treblinka death camp. During this summer, a resistance organization
known as the Z.O.B. was formed. It was headed by the 23 year old Mordecai Anielewicz, and was

The Jews were able to keep up the resistance for about a month, but the fight was officially ended on
May 16 with the destruction of Warsaw's great synagogue (ushmm.org). About 7,000 Jews were
killed during the uprising, and another 7,000 deported, but a few hundred German soldiers fell as
well (history.com). Preparing for the resistance brought up both feelings of terror, and excitement
over the fact that the Nazis would not be able to get away with at least one of their plans so easily.
Zivia Lubetkin, who was a resistance fighter in the ghetto, describes the feeling of the resistance
organization on the 18th of April after getting the news of the final roundup that was to take place
the next day. She says "[e]ven though we were prepared, and had even prayed for this hour, we
turned pale. A tremor of joy mixed with a shudder of fear passed through all of us. But we
suppressed our emotions and reached for our guns" (Gilbert 557). Resistance was a new idea to the
Jews. Since the Nazis had taken over, the Jews had found themselves in a rather helpless situation.
There was almost no way to escape the ghettos, and those who did manage to make it out knew they
were costing the Jews they had left behind. This was the first real attempt at an actual organized
armed resistance. Lubetkin tells how the Germans were determined, especially after being forced to

Our fears of liquidation only worsen when the transports begin arriving at less frequent intervals in

The revolt began around October 14th at 4pm. They were supposed to slowly and silently kill off SS

This world consists of many different humans who have many different opinions on life. I cannot
begin to explain each worldview. But what exactly is a worldview? We can just break the word
down and say a person's view on the world, or viewing the world through different religions or
through other people. Everyone has a worldview, and all people act and in a certain way because
they are guided by a certain worldview. Sample states, "The interpretive 'lens' helps people make
sense of life and comprehend the world around them. Sometimes the lens brings clarity, and other
times it can distort reality." The Christian worldview is the one worldview that provides a consistent
and truthful explanation of all the facts of reality. Carl F.H. Henry says, "The Christian belief
system, which the Christian knows to be grounded in divine revelation, is relevant to all of life."
This worldview affirms Theism, which is the belief in a supernatural God. It takes it stand primarily
on two solid foundations: special revelation (the Bible) and general revelation (the created order).
Philosophy can be hard to grasp as a Christian. The Bible does not ask us to ignore reason in order
to accept its truth. We normally go to the deeper things in life, and ask the questions–How did I get
here? Why am I here? Or where am I going? Christianity answers these questions more completely
