Trap Of Gold
1. Trap Of Gold
Looking for Gold: A Thematic Analysis of "Trap Of Gold" "Trap of Gold", by Louis L'Amour, he
uses Wetherton, the main character, the setting, and the conflict between him and the mountain to
create a theme, don't let greed overcome your life. Wetherton, goes out to look for gold for his
family, and he found the source of the gold on the side of a mountain. Wetherton is a family man
pulled to the gold rush just like every other man yearning for adventure. He was a very poor man
with "slightly less than forty dollars." With this mountain filled with gold he can bring money home
for his family, but he has to determine whether to keep digging or pull back; all the gold that he is
getting is going to his wife and child. "The things to make the

The Twitter Trap
Bill Keller in "The twitter trap" published in The New york Times (18 May 2011) notes that he felt
as though he had poisoned his daughter by allowing her onto Facebook. He equates it to giving a
drug and sees it as eroding a youth's intellect or skills development memory skills, math skills,
penmanship, innate sense of direction, attention span, problem solving and decision making
abilities. Given his daily job, he is well aware of the global appreciation for the internet. However,
what are the costs, the personal costs? Recently, the advancement of technology has started to
accumulate some controversy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Still as a student 700 miles away from home Facebook is my main connection to friends from my
hometown. This is a situation that calls for moderation and self–control, both of which are traits that
society will be forced to acquire and adapt to in order to survive in a fiercely competitive job
market. Using Facebook or Twitter to connect to and stay updated in your friend's life is completely
acceptable, we just need to unlatch ourselves from the computer screens and meet these people in
person as well. Keller's other arguments; the abilities to reflect, empathize, and pursue meaning, are
also still an enduring part of our lives, as long as we handle the media properly. Because of
technology, we are now given far more information than ever before to reflect upon, and the
accountability that comes with social media requires us to reflect before posting something
permanent. Facebook and Twitter are more than mindless chatter as well, when used correctly you
can rally support for a cause. The quick jump to action that users of these social media take shows
their sustained ability to empathize with others and do what they can to help. As far as pursuing
meaning, social media gives people an outlet to discuss their ideas and beliefs and further their
understanding of different people and an overall meaning. If society chooses to use these to their
benefit than these essential characteristics are not

Company Case. Trap–Ease America: The big cheese mousetraps
1) Martha and the Trap–Ease America investors believe they face a once–in–a– lifetime opportunity.
What information do they need to evaluate this opportunity? How do you think the group would
write its mission statement? How would you write it?
By saying they face a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity I assume that they are talking about the
potential for profit and growth. However, from this case it doesn't seem that Martha, the president of
Trap–Ease had done enough research into her market to realistically assess whether the demand for
her product would be there. First she would need to decide what customers want and need. Do they
want or need the safety and extra features that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Could it position the product in other ways?
It seems that the Trap–Ease mouse trap has positioned itself in the market as being a very innovative
and well engineered product. It has done this by winning awards from trade shows and magazines. If
it is better able to connect these features of the mouse traps with the needs and wants of their target
consumers then they should be able to generate a larger demand. They could also try to change it's
position a little bit.
Trap–Ease could also position the product as causing less waist because it is re–useable or they
could lower it's cost and make it more affordable. By making it "the most affordable, innovative
mouse trap" on the market they could probably gain some more demand. Another way in which they
could position their product would be by having an incredibly good customer service team that
could deliver services to their customers that were having problems using the product. By having a
good customer service team they could build better relationships with their customers and increase
their customer equity
4.Describe the current marketing mix for Trap–Ease. Do you see any problems with this mix?
The marketing mix of a company consists of the four P's: Product, Price, Place and Promotion.
Currently Trap–Ease only has one product, their mouse trap. They probably could create a couple
different versions of their mouse trap in order to offer more variety. The higher price of their mouse

13. Ghost The Musical Analysis
Ghost: The Musical
Director Douglas E. Stark's adaption of Ghost (based off of Bruce Rubin's story) turns a classic story
into a musical. Stark has worked with Beef and Boards for 40 years and, in 2008, joined Hillcrest
Asset Management as a Managing Director. Beef and Boards is celebrating its 45th anniversary
season with productions such as Mamma Mia, Million Dollar Quartet, and Elf: The Musical. Beef
and Boards theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana made this director's dream of a specific musical come
true with their production of Ghost: The Musical; which I was able to watch on Thursday, October
26, 2017. The production featured a unique set (featuring an interesting stage paired with strong
lighting) accompanied by a talented cast including the performers, director, and technical crew. The
simplest description for Ghost is a romance gone wrong when tragedy strikes. The curtain opens on
a happy couple, Sam Wheat (Eddie Egan) and Molly Jensen (Andrea Laxton), moving into their new
apartment; however, after a few scenes, a robbery causes his death. Carl Bruner (Patrick Michael
Joyce), Sam's best friend, had been the true reason of his demise. The musical was, to say the least, a
success.
The plot of this theatre piece features characteristics of a comedy, mystery, action, and science
fiction writing. The unique combination of these characteristics gives every member of the audience
the opportunity to enjoy the piece. However, I do believe, the director should have allowed for

Recently, I read the book "The Happiness Trap" by Russ Harris and Bev Aisbett and at first I really
hated the book. It was patronizing, belittling and used an excess amount of exclamation marks. It
also said things such as "let your mind chatter away like a radio in the background" which I do not
agree with at all. I think that you should always pay attention to your emotions and thoughts, and
that dealing with them is much different than ignoring them. I overlooked this line, however and
continued reading, and athough I didn't like it at first, I tried to keep an open mind about the book,
as the reviews were good and some of the lessons made sense. So I begrudgingly read through the
book, trying to read it and get something useful out of it.

21. Poverty And World Hunger
Global poverty and world hunger are two of the most studied and debated subjects in the field of
economics. Experts such as Jeffery Sachs and William Easterly have researched every aspect of
poverty, and come to two differing views on causes and solutions for continued poverty in an age of
abundance. Research has presented many alarming conclusions about poverty and hunger such as
"One billion people are suffering from hunger". People are thought to be poor, starving, and helpless
in these poverty ridden areas, but is that actually the case? This article will explore information
about how the poor really spend their dollars and if they have the ability to buy food. Looking
around the world there are lessons to be learned about how poverty works and if the alarming facts
from experts are credible.
Poverty is a complex subject in which there are many factors that are difficult to comprehend and
evaluate. One difficult example is understanding the spending habits of the poor. People who are
thought to have enough money to buy food, will save for months in order to buy a new television.
Giving more money to poor people will not necessarily mean more food for the poor as many
experts are presenting. These experts are arguing about ideological solutions to problems, while
unaware that their proposed solutions are not relevant to the problems where it really matters on the
ground level.

25. Minimum Fines And Punishments For Drivers
Every person that has operated a vehicle before, or has seen a vehicle operated, understands that
while driving is a very convenient mode of transportation, it can also be extremely dangerous for
vehicle operators and people near the roads which vehicles are operated on. These dangers are
suppressed by the rules and regulations imposed by our governments. While some laws on roadways
seem to be a nuisance to drivers, they are there for a reason, to keep us safe. One specific roadway
area that the government is very concerned with keeping safe would be construction zones.
Currently the fines and punishments for drivers who are ticketed and/or are involved in accidents in
work zones are higher than they are in regular roadway areas. The question that this essay will
explore is whether or not these higher fines are appropriate. Traffic laws are the jurisdiction of the
state governments and because of this the laws imposed in work zones vary between each state.
Currently in Michigan all fines for speeding are doubled in work zones. Speeding in Michigan's
work zones can also result in increased points on your license. Furthermore, if you injure or kill a
worker in a work zone in Michigan you face a $7,500 fine and 15 years in prison. About 32 other
states also enforce the double fine laws in work zones, but 24 states with these laws require workers
to be present. Missouri enforces one of the steepest penalties for worker endangerment, including up
to a $10,000 fine. While these

The Fight For Fur Not knowing what you could catch the next day is one of the greatest feelings in
the world. Trapping has been in America as long as we became a county it was once a very
profitable way of income and helped our economy thrive. Now many people are against it from
personal beliefs of it being cruel to animals. Yet some people have it in their blood and it is a
tradition for them making sure it will never die. Trapping is essential because it is an apart of our
history, because it is humane and because it is a great population control task. According the People
for the Ethical Treatment of Animals under the page Cruel Wildlife Treatment. They state that any
animal caught in a steel trap, the animal suffers for days on end trying to free themselves.
Continuing on the same topic they again state that the animal once steps in the trap that the trap
clamps down on the foot with excruciating pain with the animals sometime chewing their own paw
off to free themselves. The list goes on and on about the different types of traps used and them all
being inhumane causing pain and damage to the animal. I can tell you personally that this is very
untrue. The article The Leg Hold Trap by Globe & Mail, out of Canada which is a very large

33. Labyrinth Is A Play Written By Beth Steel
Labyrinth is a play written by Beth Steel and it was shown at the Hampstead Theatre in London. The
first thing I encountered when I entered the theatre was how big it was. The stage was in the center
of the theater, which makes it entertaining for the audience to enjoy it at any side. A unique thing
about the stage was that they use so much creativity on the floor. There were times where the floor
was turned into a staircase, and smoke was coming out from the floor to show what is on John's
mind. The stage was very relevant to the play, because it used quite often to help us comprehend
why John Anderson killed himself at the end of the play. Looking back at the production I saw in
October, something that made the set stood out was the trap door in several of situations throughout
the play. For example, when they were transiting scenes at the office, they used the trap doors as a
staircase for people that are working in the business. Also in the middle of the scene, Jonathan
wanted to kick his father out of his apartment and once when he was kicked out, he used the trapped
door from underneath. The trap door were unique, you see the characters going inside the trap door
then come out of the two steel doors that were on each side of the stage. Similar to the trap doors,
the two steel doors on each side of the set was unique too. Numerous of times in the play, it was
used as an entrance for John to negotiate a loan deal with Latin American countries. Throughout the

The water quality of the U–High creek was determined to be excellent. However, not all areas of
water have an excellent water quality. One way humans can negatively impact the water quality of
an area of water can include using large amounts of fertilizers for the farming purpose of growing
crops. These fertilizers end up draining into rivers and increasing the concentration of chemicals like
nitrates and phosphates, thus causing the buildup of algae and blocking sunlight from providing
energy to the organisms and plants in the water. Another way humans can impact the water quality
negatively involves using chemical waste products in factories because chemicals like cyanide, zinc,
copper, lead, and mercury in these products can get into rivers and kill off animals living in the
water. Additionally, these chemicals can invade rivers so much that they affect the food cycle to the
point where the tertiary and quaternary consumers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Netting Trash Trap captures and removes waste from stormwater and industrial plants using
energy from the flow of the water to trap trash in disposable mesh. (Fresh Creek Technologies, Inc.,

Because the Netting Trash Trap runs by the energy of the flow, systems don't have a problem
wearing out or needing additional power. In addition to this, the Netting Trash Trap systems are
designed for an extended trouble–free service. These devices can last over 20 years. (Fresh Creek

41. A Research On Trap Laws
TRAP Laws
In the summer of 2013, Senator Wendy Davis stood for eleven hours in front of her colleagues
inside the Texas State Capital Building filibustering Senate Bill 5 (SB–5) a bill that would shut
down almost all of the abortion clinics across the state. While Senator Davis was successful in her
filibuster the bill was passed at the start of the second session and went into effect in November of
2013. Bills like SB–5 are known as TRAP (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers) Laws that
are used to shut down abortion clinics by "imposing on them [abortion clinics] requirements that are

Reproductive Rights", 2015). TRAP laws use methods that ... Show more content on

This is difficult for many abortion providers to achieve due to a majority of hospitals having
religious affiliations which disapprove of abortions. HB–2 also sets clinic standards similar to
surgical centers such as; specific doorway and room requirements, staffing and anesthesia
regulations among other regulations that are not required in other outpatient clinics like birthing
centers and plastic surgery clinics. The law also requires doctors to read a prepared script to patients
in order to obtain "informed consent" while many of the scripts actually include medically
inaccurate information like "abortions increase your risk of cancer" "those who have abortions have
a higher risk of developing psychological problems and attempting suicide" and "during the
procedure your fetus may feel pain." (Dorf, "Verdict Comments", 2012) These claims has no
scientific consensus and are rejected by mainstream medical organizations such as American
Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
and are used solely to persuade patients against an abortion. Texas, along with many other states
have also passed medical regulations on abortion clinics, requiring mandatory transvaginal
ultrasounds, even if an ultrasound has already done another one must be done with the abortion

To some, trapping animals seems like a tradition upheld by people who have had those traditions

there is a growing group that would challenge that very notion. For those who take trapping as a

49. The Thucydides Trap Summary
Mr. Allison first coined the phrase The Thucydides Trap, a trap where a rising power will inevitably
challenge the ruling power that could most likely end in war. The Thucydides Trap is occurring in
the 21st century between the US, the ruling power, and China, the rising power, who are getting
increasingly more powerful on the international stage. War is most likely possible between the two
powers, but past history shows that the US and China can get out of the trap through peaceful
means.
The first evidence that the author uses to support his thesis is previous examples of the ruling power
being challenged by the rising power. The first example that author uses is the rivalry between
Athens and Sparta, which ended with the Peloponnesian war and with Sparta the victor. The war
happened because Sparta and Athens had entangling alliances with other city states who went to war
with each other and called the superpowers into the war. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

in the article shows that it is possible to get out through peaceful means.
The second evidence to support his thesis is that the Chinese economy will overtake the US
economy. The Chinese economy is rising significantly, its economy in 1980 was smaller than the
Netherlands, while in 2014 the Chinese increment of growth of its GDP is equal to the entire Dutch
economy. As shown in the GDP chart in the article, the Chinese GDP is growing significantly

Yertle the Turtle in the book Yertle the Turtle by Dr.Seuss was very greedy. He always wanted more
and more, in this case turtles so he could be the as it states in the book: "I'm ruler said Yertle, of all
that I see." To see more, he needed something to stack up with, and one resource he had available to
stack up with were turtles. Another reason he was greedy was when he said in the book: "My throne
shall be higher! his royal voice thundered, So pile up more turtles! I want 'bout two hundred!" Now,
being greedy is bad because bad things will happen afterwards. As I was watching the video on

One is that being greedy will lead to bad things. The second one is that other "people" have lives as
well and need to do certain things to live a healthy life. At the end of the story somebody else was

is the king, then that means that sometimes bad decisions can lead to somebody else's good or just
plain bad with it just going away. When Yertle saw the moon and wanted to stack up even higher, I
actually thought he was going to go to outer space and then lift off into the void. The book was very

Christian Deeter
Mr. Andrews
English 11 AP
22 October 2014
The Poverty Trap Imagine a small village in Africa. What images come to mind? Is it small huts in a
desolate village? Or how about exotic animals? The truth is that although some of these descriptions
are accurate, they tend to leave out the pain and suffering of people. Every day 21,000 children die
throughout different parts of the world (Shah). These deaths are the result of poverty as well as the
conditions that come with it. Being in poverty is so much more than just not having money. Hunger,
lack of resources, and wars plague developing countries, all of which have to do with poverty.
Around 870 million people in the world are severely undernourished ( 2013 World Hunger). With
7.1 billion people living in the world this means that 1 in 8 of them aren't getting enough food to
sustain what their bodies need (2013 World Hunger). Not surprisingly though 852 million of the
hungry live in developing countries (2013 World Hunger). What causes the developing countries to
be so far behind the rest of the world when it comes to lacking the basic resources needed by every
human being? Dictionary.com defines a developing country as "a country having a standard of
living well below that possible with financial or technical aid" (Dictionary). Looking at this
definition, it's easy to understand why world hunger isn't its own problem, but connected to the
poverty levels. There's a saying that goes money makes the world

Another factor that would imply that Eisenhower was the president who committed America in
Vietnam would be that his Secretary Of State, John Dulles, set up SEATO, the South–East Asia
Treaty Organisation. The SEATO signatories agreed to help South Vietnam, which would suggest by
the overall setting up of an organisation, that is inevitably for the aiding of South–Eastern countries,
that Kennedy was trapped in Vietnam. Kennedy, who was already seen as too young and naive to be
a leader of one of the most powerful countries of the century, would be less likely to withdraw from
such a major organisation that his predecessor created.
However, were there any moments when Kennedy could've pulled out? In short, yes, Diems'
continuous uncooperative and unpopular nature meant that Kennedy could've intervened a lot sooner

America were fully obligated to support the next successor. The US colluded in Diem's assassination

73. Personal Narrative : A Trap Door In My Classroom
A trap door in my classroom, that was what sparked my everlasting curiosity. But, I was pushed
away from this secret entrance every single day.
"Curious? Why would you be curious about that," my teacher would exclaim shaking her head.
"Don't understand how somebody wouldn't be curious about a door that leads to a place filled with
mysteries," I would point out, there was something she was hiding from me, something that she
didn't want me to find out.
Every day, I would sit on top of the trap door, hoping that one day it would swing open letting me
fall into its hidden secrets. For days I would ponder about the door, there was something hidden, and
I couldn't forget about it. Go, my intuition would call to me as I sat thinking during class; discover
the hidden world. How? I wouldn't be able to open the door, there was no point, but I had to do it, it
was now or never and I wanted to explore and discover; I wouldn't let go of this. Just go, this is the
time to open this undiscovered world, so I did it.
Keep quiet, I whispered angrily to myself as I tiptoed into the classroom, just as the sun was setting,
it was now or never and all I had to do is open the trapdoor and peek inside, easy right? Let's say
that it wasn't as easy as I believed, the trapdoor was sealed shut and the opening process caused a

An Electric Rodent Trap Makes It Easier To Get Rid Of Mice And Rodents If your home is suddenly
overrun with mice and rats, your first step should be to call in a professional exterminator. It's very
difficult to get rid of rodents once they become established. A pest control company will help you
come up with a plan for killing or trapping the rodents you already have and blocking new ones
from getting in your home. To speed the process along, you can set traps yourself too. However, if
you are like a lot of people and can't bring yourself to set or empty a rodent trap, then you should try
an electric tap instead. This is why an electric trap is ideal for getting rid of mice and rats. Easy To

The good thing about an electric trap is it kills rodents immediately with an electrical shock. They
don't have to linger in the trap for hours or days and suffer until they die. Although you may hate the
idea of killing an animal, at least you can feel better knowing you did it in a humane way. Easy To
Dispose Of Kills Another benefit of an electric tunnel trap is how easy it is to dispose of a dead
rodent. You don't even have to look at the rat or mouse. If you glance at the tunnel opening, all you
see is a tail sticking out. There is also an indicator light on top of the tunnel that lets you know the
plate was tripped. Just pick up the tunnel and tip it over your garbage can and the rodent will slide
into the trash. That is far better than prying open a rat trap to dispose of a dead body so you can use
the trap again. While dealing with a rodent infestation is never a pleasant thing, at least it is easier to
do it with an electric trap. However, if you are too squeamish about rodents, even an electric trap
may be too much for you to handle. In that case, you can let a pest control company do all the work.

81. Trap Shooter Analysis
Finding the ideal time and firing solution for how to shoot a moving target depends on the aptitude
sets and experiences of a Trap Shooter. Customarily, these abilities and experiences have been
viewed as instinctive activities that must be learned through years of hard practice, shooting a huge
number of rounds. Currently, there is no existing set of instructions that can help shooters
understand the game of Trapshooting from an analytical and mechanical approach. We aim to create
a Decision Support System (DSS) that will break down and explain these intuitive subtleties of
shooting by analyzing physical and mechanical processes of the game. The DSS will analyze the
characteristics of the nature of shot spread, the path of the shot spread,

85. Trap Music Thesis
How many of us can say we enjoy hip–hop music in some form or another? I know I can, in fact I
listen to it just about every day. Hip–hop is not just music to many of us, it's a culture better yet a
way of life. Although hip–hop is very influential especially in the African American community, not
enough people touch the negative effects it has on our youth. The new age of hip hop or "Trap
Music", as it is commonly referred as, seems to be more vulgar and violent then the hip–hop we all
grew to love. Trap music is a music genre that originated in the early 1990s in the Southern United
States. It's widely known for its aggressive lyrical content and sound. The instrumentals are
propelled by 808 kick drums or heavy extended sub–bass lines. This present form of urban hip–hop

Our new wave of hip–hop promotes more violence and drug abuse than ever before and also
emphasizes materialistic tendencies that lead to financial irresponsibility. Violence is very high in
our youth society and trap music can defiantly be a leading cause. Trap music promotes violent
crimes in its lyrics and visuals. One example of this is the War in Chicago and the death of its
rappers due to this form of music. In Chicago the youth has developed their own form of trap music
known as Drill Music. Drill is a trap subgenre which was created by young Chicago rappers and
producers. "Drill" is a slang term for use of automatic weapons, the current use now means to fight
or retaliate. Drill is defined by its dark, grim, violent lyrics and trap–influenced beats. This genre of
music is what most of Chicago's youth listens to. Drill music focuses on the daily life of the youth in
Chicago's inner streets and even some parts of its metropolitan area. The music glorifies the gritty
life of drugs, sex, and violence. Drill music quickly took over

Falling Down
By: Logan Hilliard, Garrett Walker, Keren Torres
Once upon a time, in a land far away a french fry named Garrett was taking a stroll. He was going to
meet up with his mishandled chicken tender named Keren. You see that's when everything went
downhill. I was headed to Kerens chicken tender box otherwise known as her house. I 'm a chicken

see, all this sudden we are falling out of the sky. We fall into an ugly orange carpet at a 1970

worked in the art of running from danger. He was such a scaredy cat, but not any type scaredy cat.
He was so fearful he afraid of his own shadow. And to add to that he's very small and fragile. We
started to walk again and it started to rain and Karen and her wondrous self had to ask the question,
"why is it raining in a carpet?"
I replied "I have no clue why this happening."
Well we get under cover and decided to find a round chip crumb, for some food and get some water.
So we look at the water, Garrett asks "Why 's that water, brown?'' He asked many times I consider to
freak me out. The water was fizzling a lot so Garrett went over and tried it, he found out that it was
Coke.
I was scared half to death along with Alexander, I ask "What is going on?"
"I have no clue, I am so confused." Karen replies sarcastically. We start to see the light again and
that 's when it hits us. Alexander wasn 't trying to get out, he was trying to keep things in.

What are some ways to kill a wild animal in the yard? Realistically probably the only way it would
be considered humane to kill a wild animal that was in your yard would be to capture it alive and
euthanize it using the CO2 method. This method is pretty simple you get a bag large enough to put
cage in and seal up and the smaller container in which you put vinegar and baking soda, when you
mix these two they produce CO2, once the concentration of CO2 in the bag reaches over 30% the
animal will pass out and then soon afterwards it will die. Using that method means of course that
you first have to catch the animal alive and a lot of people really have no skills in that area and when
they usually try to catch an animal they fail. There are a heap of other methods that people use to kill
animals that are causing them problems, most of these revolve around lethal traps, the main two
types being snap traps which are the ones you mainly use to kill rats, mice and squirrels, as you can
see these are all small animals and that is what the basic snap trap you buy from the hardware store
is good for. The other main type of lethal trap a squeeze trap, this trap looks very similar to a cage

101. Summary Of For He Look Not Upon Her By George Gascoigne
Love tends to be the topic of many poetic literary works, whether it be the joys that come with it or
the pains suffered because of it, but what can be made of the love that results in both? In the poem,
"For He Looked Not upon Her," George Gascoigne already makes that message clear through his
title: sometimes, there is reason not to desire what we can not help but long for. When his audience
reads the work, they are meant to discover that reason behind why "He" would not look upon "Her".
Through the speaker's form, diction, and imagery that he utilizes in the poem, it becomes clear that
his tone towards love is wary, yet also conflictingly longing.
Starting with form, we can split Gascoigne's poem into three parts that depict what love feels like in
the speaker's experience: lines 1–4, lines 5–10, and lines 11–14. In the first part, the speaker almost
seems to be addressing the audience when he says, "You must not wonder...", but it soon becomes
apparent he is speaking to a specific person when he describes features in the fourth line, "About the
gleams which on your face do grow." This means the first part is personal to him and him alone.
Then in lines 5–10, he offers examples of two creatures who learn from past injuries, as if backing
up a claim where he has somehow been injured as well. That claim soon follows in the last 4 lines
when he reverts back to his personal point of view, "Because your blazing eyes my bale have bred."
The speaker is cautious of someone, most

How to Make a Fruit Fly Trap
Oh, those pesky fruit flies! They seemingly appear out of nowhere taking up residence in your
kitchen and home. While they're most attracted to ripened fruits and vegetables, they can also be
found breeding in drains, garbage disposals, empty bottles and cans, trash containers and even mops
and cleaning rags. So, what can you do about these nuisance pests before they contaminate your
food with bacteria – trap them and eliminate them!
A day in the life of a fruit fly
You can clean your kitchen until it gleams, but until all potential breeding areas are located and
eliminated, fruit flies will spread no matter how much you've scrubbed. Generally, they lay their
eggs near the surface of fermenting foods and materials. Once they've hatched, the tiny larvae
continue to feed near the surface of the fermenting mass. What's worse, the reproductive potential of
fruit flies is huge. So, if conditions are right they will lay about 500 eggs. And the entire lifecycle
from egg to adult – happens in about one week. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The problem is, finding the source of attraction can be somewhat challenging. The best approach for
eliminating these pests suggests the University of Kentucky, Entomology, is to build a trap and
attract adult flies, where they can be eliminated for good.

Trap Shooting Most people don't know this, but a lot of schools have a trap team. BGM has a trap
shooting team called BGM Shotgunners, or BGM Trap Team. Beginners might want to get used to
shooting guns first. They also will want to figure out which brand or kind of gun you like. Other
experienced shooters will just want to buy the gun of their choice. There are trap guns just for trap,
or you can get a 20 gauge or 12 gauge shotgun. The only difference between the two is the recoil or
kick and that one is also heavier than the other because it is more powerful. They also have different
types of glasses for this sport. They each are for a different kind of day. For example the yellow ones
are for a darker cloudier day. Trap shooting originated from England and has been a largely growing
and popular sport ever since. Even though most schools don't have a trap range or trap field, they
may use a range that is open to public schools for shooting practice. Trap shooting is the oldest
shotgun shooting sport in America. People used to use real pigeons for trap shooting. Back in 1880,

Gender issues have recently hit the surface pretty hard and has made life changing impacts,
nationally. Some political topics have been on same–sex marriage and restrooms for transgendered
students. The nation is divided in regards to gender issues. The recent awareness has forced the
government to step in and back up laws that are for and against these issues. Analyzing our lives on

Her interviews are of 42 people with different races, social–economic backgrounds, homosexuals
and heterosexuals of children. As Kane begins her book, she goes in depth of the study and what she
proposes with her findings. First, she takes a stand that gender is a social term and not biological as I
have always looked at it. Gender and power also are found to be related as agreed with Kimmel's
textbook, The Gendered Society. He mentions "only white people in our society have the luxury not
to think about race every minute of their lives. And only men have the luxury to pretend that gender
does not matter." She is able to grasp a stand from her interviews and is able to explain how females
are socially excluded by the way the parents treat them and how this has led to a larger social
problem with gender discrimination that includes wage gap and even domestic violence. Males have
seemed to "benefit" from the power that has been given to them by society who engages in the
marginalization of women. Now, it seems males are heavily burdened when it comes to the talk
about gender differences. Chapter 1 includes the pre–birth stage of gendering children. After I told
my family we were having a female they threw me a surprise baby shower that included everything
pink, so before she was even born she was "given" a gender. All the parents were able to say what
gender they preferred for their child and why. The reasoning behind the gender preference can be

The Parent Trap is a film from 1998 that takes place in London, Napa (California) and Maine. First

129. How Trap Is A Sport That I Have Been Enjoyed For Over Four...
Trap is a sport that I have been enjoying for over four years. Learning more about it for the purpose
of this research paper is something that was enjoyable. This paper will cover the history of the sport,
some of the equipment and entry costs involved, and provide some highlights of basic gun safety
required for any trap shooter.
Trap shooting began in the U.S. around 1825. Shooters typically used shotguns to fire at targets
thrown, and later launched, into the air. The first U.S. recorded trap match was conducted in
Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1931. These early shooting competitions used live birds for the targets, as had
been the history in Europe where the sport originated. America, however, led the way in developing
artificial targets for trap competitions. The first targets were glass balls that contained feathers. The
greatest trap shooters of the 19th century included Adam Bogardus, Ira Paine and Annie Oakley. In a
one–day exhibition, Bogardus broke 5,681 glass balls before missing, and Oakley shot 4,722 of
5,000 glass balls released. In pistol, the first recorded match was in 1860 and it was a duel between
two men who shot nine–inch China plates from a distance of 100 feet. The winner broke 11 out of
15 plates. In 1865, "Buffalo Bill" Cody produced shooting pistol exhibitions, which further
promoted the sport of shooting throughout the rest of the United States.
Clay targets, sometimes called pigeons, became popular between 1910 and 1915 when skeet

These differences between original movies and remakes are apparent throughout the history of
movies. During the 1960s, when the original movie The Parent Trap was published, divorce was a
touchy topic. Many children did not even know what it was, because it was so rare. Divorce had
become more common in 1998 when The Parent Trap was remade. More and more children were
seeing their parents split up. How do changes, such as these, tell us about the time periods in which
the movies were made? Both movies tell the same story, but the audiences, standards of men and
women, social norms, and settings vary. The 1961 version of The Parent Trap was undoubtedly a
popular movie, although the main topic– divorce– was not an ideal during the time. ... Show more

The roles of the men and women in the original movie The Parent Trap reflected the time of the
1960s. In the movie, Vicky, Mitch's fiancé, is always accompanied by her mother. Vicky was much
younger than Mitch. She had not ever been married before, unlike Mitch who had been through a
divorce. Her mother tagging along everywhere goes to show that parent involvement, even in
marriage, was important during the time of this film. Her mother wanted to make sure that Vicky did
everything she needed to do in order to marry Mitch. All Vicky wanted was Mitch's money, and her
mother was going to make sure that is what she got. As time progressed, women became more
independent. In the 1998 version of The Parent Trap, Meredith, Nick's fiancé, is always alone, never
accompanied by her mother. This reflects the women of this time: independent and able to make
decisions for themselves. In this version too, all the fiancé wants is the twins' father's money. Greed
is a quality that is still seen today because money is something that everyone wants more than they
need. The identical twin girls, Susan and Sharon, are 14 years old in the original movie. In the
remake, the twin girls, Annie and Hallie, are 11 years old. Changing the age was a necessity for the
second movie because girls were much more aged in 1998 than in 1961. The director of the remake,
Nancy Meyers, said, "Fourteen year olds today are wearing

145. The Pros And Cons Of Poverty Trap
What drives poverty? First, how does one country consider itself living in extremely poor
conditions? This can be answered by using tools like PPP or GDP per capita to distinguish between
poor and rich countries. However, the purpose of this paper is not to discuss which country has the
highest GDP, but rather to discuss the ability the poor obtain to boost their way out of poverty. Are
there certain limitations that poor people face that refrain them from growing or is it just that the
poor will always be poor? This paper will summarize main arguments of mechanisms that give rise
to poverty traps from the article, Do Poverty Traps Exist. Based on these summaries, I will conduct
further critical reviews on some and provide evidence to back my opinion on the specific
mechanism at hand.
To begin, one of the arguments first presented in the article give light to saving–based poverty traps.
If one does not have enough money to save, they cannot achieve sufficient capital so in turn, their
incomes become stagnant. However, the study in the article argues that the saving rates do increase
from low levels of development. So in some cases, this poverty trap does not exist.
Secondly, the article also argues that a "big push" to the manufacturing sector can result in high
returns and high–income levels in both the modern sector and traditional sector. While, only
investing in the traditional sector, which consists of agriculture, will only provide equalized wages
at a low level

149. A Controversial View Of Development Discourse
The discussion topic is referring to a controversial view of development discourse. Development
means what 'we' can do for 'them', here 'we' denotes the first world countries or the west and 'them'
refers to the developing countries. This essay will discuss the issue based on three different
perspectives of three well–known references– The End of Poverty: How we can make it happen in
our lifetime by Sachs (Sachs, 2005); The Bottom Billion by Collier (Collier, 2007) and Easterly's
The White Man's Burden (Easterly, 2007). Each of these three writers has different notion regarding
the view that development of poor countries depends upon the western countries support.
Sachs supports the discussion topic that development of Third World countries is only possible if the
developed countries provide financial support to them. "Africa needs around $30 billion per year in
aid in order to escape from poverty" (Sachs, 2005: 309). He believes that a society needs external
help to be in track when it falls into deep crisis (Sachs, 2005: 130). According to Jeffrey Sachs,
foreign aid is the only solution for the poor countries to eradicate extreme poverty and to break
down the 'poverty trap' cycle (Sachs, 2005: 245). Sachs is very optimist about that, more aid,
forgiveness of debts, better trade terms policy and more access to technology from West can help to
