A Separate Peace Movie Vs Book
There are so many changes between the book and the movie. The book was a lot better than the movie I think. When a producer makes a movie out
of a book, they take the most interesting things from the book and just erase the rest of it. Us book lovers absolutely hate when they go to watch a
movie based off a book they love and they leave out the most important details. The book first opens up with Frank Bryce's history, about how he was
accused of murdering the Riddle family he worked for, many years ago. This is omitted from the movie. Bertha Jorkins, the Ministry employee that
Wormtail and Voldemort capture and question, and who gives Voldemort the information about the Triwizard Tournament being placed at Hogwarts is
also not in the movie.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Weasley gives Ron his dress robes before the start of school, but as Mrs. Weasley is omitted from this movie, Ron gets his dress robes by post and
Errol delivers them to him while in the Great Hall. Colin and Dennis Creevey are omitted from the movie. In the book, when they first arrive at
school Peeves is throwing water balloons at the students as they are gathered in the hall, and they see the sorting ceremony for the new first years,
but this is omitted from the movie. In the book, the Sorting Hat sings a new song about the history of Hogwarts and the Founders which is not
shown in the movie. The arrival of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons schools occurs on 30th of October and not on the 1st of September as in the
movie. Padma Patil is in Ravenclaw and not in Gryffindor. Malfoy as a ferret scene is very extended in the movie. In the movie, Moody
demonstrates the three Unforgivable Curses on a single spider, ultimately killing it. In the book, he uses a different spider for each one, and later is
also shown using the Imperius Curse on students in order to teach them how to overcome its effects. Madame Maxime is said to be the same height as
Hagrid, while in the movie she's noticeable taller. The movie implies that Durmstrang is an all–boy school and Beauxbatons all–girl, the book however,
portraits both school as mixed gender schools, as a boy is shown in Beauxbatons and a girl is shown in Durmstrang. Neither school does any
presentation when they arrive. Fleur Delacour as a part–Veela is omitted. Probably because the Veela and all the explanations given about them at the
World Cup are also not present. Also, the Beauxbatons pupils are rather unhappy about being at Hogwarts. Fred and George are not the only
students to try to find a way around the age line on the Goblet of Fire. When Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore remains
very calm, he asks Harry if he did it, to which Harry replies "no". Draco and his fellow Slytherins

Essay on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The title of my book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It is written by J.K. Rowling. I really liked this book. This book is a fiction book.
That of course means it's not true.

He was not in Diagon Alley, but Knockturn Alley. He was in an old store, Draco Malfoy and his father came in to sell so stuff. Harry hid just in
time, so Draco couldn't see him. The Malfoys left, Harry got out of the store. The half giant, Hagrid, helped Harry find the Weasleys. They went to
the bank, Gringotts, for money to buy their books. Next, they went to Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart, a famous
wizard, was signing books. They got their books and went back to the Burrow. A few days later, they all packed their stuff up and took the flying car
to the station. Everyone was through, but Ron and Harry, they ran into it and hit hard, the barrier had closed, they waited for a few minutes and went
to the car. Ron decided to fly the car to school. They were landing when they mashed into a tree. The tree started punching the car. The car fell, threw
them out and drove off. Ron's wand broke on the end.
The next morning, Ron got a Howler from his mom. The y went to Herbology where they repotted Mandrakes. Harry was going to Quidditch
practice, after a few minutes the Slytherin team came to the field. They said they had to train their new Seeker, Draco Malfoy. Draco's father bought

How Is Harry Potter A Marxist
Topic: Marxist analysis of the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling.
One of the main concerns of Marxism, a socioeconomic theory and ideology, is a struggle for power (e.g. the wealthy vs. the poor, the strong vs.
the weak etc.). Karl Marx advocates a classless society where goods are distributed fairly and social problems are taken into consideration. When it
comes to literature and approaching it from a Marxist point of view, it can be said that every piece of literary work tells us something about the real
world and that the author (either consciously or subconsciously) creates his or her world as a reflection of reality. As an opposition to New Criticism
(whose primary focus was the text and text only), Marxist criticism centres on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Weasleys are a good example of a big poor family with a hard working father; they live in a modest house and are constantly short of cash. The
Weasleys clearly represent the Proletariat. It should be pointed out that Rowling portrays this family in a very positive way. They are the closest
friends of the protagonist and, despite their poverty, always help Harry however they can. On the other hand, there are also the Malfoys (here
representing the Bourgeoisie); it is a very wealthy family which takes pride in belonging to a rich magical bloodline. They despise people like the
Weasleys, mainly because they are poor and bring shame to the magical community (Draco Malfoy, who is Harry's peer in Hogwarts, becomes his
immediate enemy as soon as they meet). These two contrasting portrayals showcase the class division present in the series. We also very clearly can
see which class the author prefers. Apart from that, there is a concept of blood purity; the Bourgeoisie believe they are superior and generally better
people – the same might be said about those who in Rowling's universe are of pure blood (meaning they do not mix with non–magical people and have
an entirely magical bloodline). Hermione, who is Muggle–born (comes from a totally non–magical family), occasionally gets ridiculed for her
background,

The Place Of The Room
Well, it seemed his "tomorrows" had run out. Nothing to do now but make the best of the situation, while hoping that Lily was still inside the
occupied room. Lily... yes, that was definitely a complication. The boy would have no choice but to empty the room before he 'd be able to search
for the diadem. That would leave her exposed, however briefly, with no guarantee that she 'd be able to enter the room again. What would she do?
Duck into one of the passages, return to the Headmaster 's quarters, perhaps? The latter would be the safest option, of course, but would she take it?
True, she 'd made him a promise, but he knew her too well to take much comfort in it. This was Lily, after all– when had she ever been content to sit
idly by when danger was about? Severus shook his head, making another attempt to enter the room. He focused all his energy on the place he
wished to access, grunting in frustration when the wall remained blank. Fuck. He couldn 't stand out here all night. Granted, The Dark Lord hadn 't
attempted to summon him yet, but judging by the mild yet persistent burning in his forearm, it was only a matter of time. "What the hell am I
supposed to do?" he said aloud, only to gasp as a small object brushed against his leg. Charity. In the midst of all the upheaval, he 'd forgotten the

Ron Weasley Essay
Irrevocably, Ron Weasley is a riveting and remarkably relatable member of the Golden Trio. Unfortunately, the film adaptations of the Harry Potter
books have slandered his depth and relegated him to the position of comic relief and placeholder. From even the first movie, Ron's character has been
forced under thorough defamation, resulting in a character wholly unlike his written counterpart, and the dynamics of our trio was transmogrified into
hero, heroine, and mascot. Having been robbed of a truly fascinating character, a substantial slice of the fanbase either harbours scorn or expresses
unmitigated vitriol towards Ron. The discrepancies between book–Ron and movie–Ron usually occur through omissions in the film, and if we

The Weasleys are genuinely poor, and it influences Ron and kids who may identify themselves within him. Ron is accustomed to having very little,
and it's conspicuous in what Ron eats, wears, buys, doesn't buy, as well as in the way he recoils when Harry unintentionally advertises his own riches.
His insecurity is only exacerbated by Draco Malfoy's perpetual bashing; the verbal abuse flung at Ron predominantly surround his lack of academic
intelligence, talent, and money. Outside of material wealth, Book–Ron considers himself inferior to his accomplished brothers and his best friends'
respective fame and academic intelligence. Less is expected of him, and he oftentimes others' apathy towards what he recognizes as his own
achievements negatively affects him. Movie–Ron is portrayed as simply envious of Harry. In the movies, the Horcrux gets to him through his love for
Hermione. In the books, the Horcrux penetrates his emotional shields through the nagging suspicion that he isn't, never has been, and never will be
good enough for anyone and anything. The scene following the locket's destruction is omitted, preventing viewers from witnessing Harry's realization
of Ron's debilitating insecurity and Ron's understanding of Harry's reluctance to be the Chosen One. The film series fails to see value in Ron just as

Influences On The Movie 'Harry Potter'
Author J.K. Rollins created a world of wizardry and magic that is brought life through her character Harry Potter. Potter is a young wizard who
embarks on a journey of mystery and magic linked together. In the second installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of
Secrets, the castle called Hogwarts is the main building used the most. It is here where Potter and the rest of the soon to be wizards are taught their
skills while making the acquaintance of the other young wizards. Although Hogwarts is the main setting, there are many other buildings outside of
Hogwarts that also influence the movie. These structure's architecture influences the story by bring the imagination to life and infusing the world J. K.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
Harry Potter is in his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After a long boring summer he cannot wait to get back to school
but a house elf named Dobby warns him not to go back because then danger will occur. Harry ignores this and goes back. Draco Malfoy is still
tormenting Harry but Lockhart the new defense against the dark arts teacher and Moaning Myrtle, a ghost who haunts the girls bathroom have also
joined in. These are all minor problems compared to the person who is petrifying students. Half the school is suspecting it is Harry! Can Harry find
out who is turning students into stone before it is to late and someone dies? I chose to analyze the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets because
it is one of my favorite movies of all time. I figured that since I know the book and film forwards and backwards I would be able to focus on the
assignment better instead of trying to learn the plot. I could focus on how the children and adults interact more then who is who. In this paper I will be
analyzing how children develop throughout the film. I will be focusing on how they interact with adults, what adults think they are incapable/capable of
doing and how the children control their emotions.
In this film children and adults interact differently. It depend on who the adult is, some of the adults are very understanding like Dumbledore and
Hagrid while others like Snape and Mr. Dursley just want to see Harry in trouble. The Dursley's abuse Harry,

Essay about Third Book of The Harry Potter Series
Harry Potter is not a normal boy. He lives with his aunt and uncle and his cousin because his parents were murdered by the most powerful dark lord,
Lord Voldemort. He attends a school for wizards called Hogwarts and learns about spells, potions, the dark arts, and etc. Non–magic people are called
Muggles and the Muggles are completely oblivious to this world.
In the third book of the Harry Potter series, it starts on Harry's birthday with Harry lying in his room receiving an owl post from his friends. The next

Harry and Hermione follow after them and end up in the Shrieking Shack. They find out the is not really a dog and is actually Sirius Black. They
also find out that Sirius was not after Harry but was after Ron's rat, Scabbers. Scabbers is not actually a rat, is a wizard named Peter Pettigrew. Peter
Pettigrew is Voldemort's servant. When they are bringing Peter back to the castle, Professor Lupin, who was with them, transforms into a werewolf.
Peter gets loose and escapes. Black tries to stop Lupin from turning but fails and ends up hurt. He runs off into the woods with Harry closely behind
him. A swarm of Dementors start to surround them. Somebody in the near distance produces the charm that sends the Dementors away. Later Harry
wakes up in the hospital wing of the school and the dementors are about to suck the soul out of Sirius.
Harry and Hermione are then sent back in time to save Sirius. They also save Buckbeak, one of Hagrid's animals. They watch the dementor scene
in the woods and Harry realizes he is the person who produced to charm to get rid of the dementors. When the dementors are about to suck out
Sirius's soul, Harry and Hermione save him using Buckbeak to get him out of there. They let Sirius take Buckbeak and they escaped. Harry later
learns the Professor Lupin would no longer be teaching at Hogwarts because of him being a werewolf. Harry is happy when he returns to the

Harry's Monologue
I felt a drop on my face and groaned from being awoke, I heard my name being called but it sounded muffled although it was becoming clearer. I

mean the Basilisk... H–how did you..." My mind was going a mile a minute and wouldn't slow down. "Hush," Harry whispered to me, I looked at him
worriedly and began to look him over for anything wrong with him. "Hey, hey, calm down. I'm fine, but you're not. What happened?" He asked.
"Harry, I–I didn't mean to do it. Tom made me. He... He..." I tried to get the words out, but my mouth wouldn't say it. Harry brought me closer and

infirmary, I looked around me to see Harry at my bedside. His head was on my bed, he must have been sleeping. I smiled, he looked really
peaceful. I took him in for a moment before deciding to tap him on the shoulder. He moved slightly then went still again. I rolled my eyes and tried
again a bit harder. He turned his head to face me, squinting because he had just woken up. It took him a few seconds of staring before he realised
that I was awake. Suddenly I was engulfed in a hug. "Don't you ever do that again," he whispered in my ear, my arms wrapped around him to hug
him back when a sharp pain went up my arm. I hissed, and he pulled back. He looked towards my arm and I followed his gaze. My arm was all
bandaged up, memories flooded back to me. Tom, the diary, forgetting who he was... "Damn, what did I get myself into?" I chuckled to myself. For
some reason I found it incredibly funny, after everything that happened, all the crazy stuff, I just laughed. My laughing became louder until Harry was
joining me, he gained his breath after laughing and asked me: "why are we laughing?" in between breaths. I shook my head because I couldn't answer.

What is a Fan Theory? According to urban dictionary Fan Theory is defined as "Set of assumptions which are intended to explain an unfinished
event or series of events in a book, movie or saga." Fan theories are a way the fan of a particular book, movie or even an animated series, connects
the untied stories and creates a new piece of art which is a theory as the original author has not created and the story is left on the speculation and the
liking of the reader or audience. These may have started as friends telling their own speculation of a certain movie cliff–hanger to a group of friends

The theory also points to the chess scene in the Sorcerer's Stone, in which Ron assumes the role of Knight. The chess game can be seen as a

makes Dumbledore the King. But do you remember the song that was used by Syltherin to make fun of Ron : WEASLEY IS OUR KING. So Ron is

maybe he accidently switched on the Time–Turner. However, it occurred, Dumbledore is the time travelling Ron would explain how Dumbledore

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer 's Stone
1.Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone By: J.K. Rowling
2.309 pages
The genre of this novel is a mix between fantasy and mystery. It takes place in an alternate universe at a school of witchcraft and wizardry. It also has
an element of mystery, you are constantly trying to find out what has happened to Harry in his past. It also includes fictional creatures like fluffy the 3
headed dog and games like quidditch that resemble modern games like football and soccer.
One theme from this book is friendship. Making friends is arguably one of the best things about going to Hogwarts. Without friends, life can be pretty
sad for Harry. Yet forHarry Potter and some of the other characters who 've been set apart by their magical abilities, making real friends is only
possible at wizarding school. Wizard friends are lifesavers, literally: who else can you collaborate with to defeat three–headed dogs or evil overlords?
By making friends, the characters get to work together, learn from each other, and accomplish more than they ever would have on their own. One
example from the book is hen Ron Weasley walks into Harry 's room on the train, the two boys begin a friendship that will last throughout their time
at Hogwarts. They share their stories, their family problems, and eventually candy. Another scenario in this book is when Draco Malfoy offers his evil
hand of friendship to Harry in the same sentence as he badmouths Ron, Harry refuses. He informs Draco that Harry needs no help

Short Story
As Harry stepped into the home of Andromeda Tonks, he was blown away. With it's high ceilings and lavish decorations, it was almost regal in
appearance. He was reminded to an extent of the Malfoy Manor, at least what little of it he had seen. Hermione and Ron trailed behind him, along
with Mrs. Weasley. The rest of the Weasleys had either not been able to make it, or simply didn't want to go. Ron had decided to go only out of
reluctance, as well as several days of begging from Harry. Hermione came with Ron, and Mrs. Weasley joined them, though Harry wasn't sure why.
The only reason Harry had agreed to come to Thanksgiving at Andromeda's was because Teddy, his godson, had requested it, and Harry couldn't say

Teddy had a habit of mimicking hair colors. The two males pointedly avoided eye contact with one another. Teddy motioned for Harry to lean

people. That's what Aunt Narcissa said, anyway." He whispered. Harry chuckled a little, and said aloud, "Draco and I know each other, actually.
We went to Hogwarts together." To Harry's confusion, a frown appeared on the smaller boy's face as he looked between the two of them. "Were
you guys friends?" Harry had been hoping that he wouldn't ask that question. The emotion on his godson's face looked far too hopeful for Harry to
tell the truth. "Um, yeah. Yeah, we were, we just haven't seen each other in a while, is all." Draco only stared at the floor, picking at the bottom of his
vest. Teddy seemed to believe him though, as his pout turned back into his signature smile. Draco pulled a very forced half–grimace in response when
Teddy looked up at him. Harry returned the young boy's expression, and was about to say something when he heard the rest of his group approach
behind him. He belatedly remembered that Ron was with him, and that he was liable to react poorly to Draco's presence. "What is he doing here?!"
The disgust in Ron's voice was palpable. Harry elbowed Ron and directed his attention to Teddy, who looked very upset by Ron's attitude. Ron clumsily

The Significance Of Family In Harry Potter And The...
Unit 1: Families – Essay Assignment Family can have numerous meanings depending on the individual defining the term. The term can exclusively
mean blood relatives, or it can branch out to close friends. It just so happens that one of the more important themes in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer
's Stone is family. However, the defining factor of family for Harry, the protagonist of the novel, are not his blood relatives. For Harry, his family
shares no aspect of a family tree, his family are his exceptionally bosom friends. Deplorably, unfortunate events plagued Harry from experiencing a
mother 's love, or a father 's guidance. Harry 's parents were murdered by the antagonist of the novel, Voldemort, leaving Harry without suitable blood
relatives. His only living relatives are his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin; and they are less than welcoming to Harry. His Uncle, Aunt, and cousin often
"spoke about Harry ... as though he wasn 't there – or rather, as though he was something very nasty that couldn 't understand them, like a slug"
(Rowling 27–28). Although this assemblage of people are related to Harry, they can scarcely be characterized as Harry 's family. Families are
meant to fulfill and support emotional and social needs, as well as protect and care for each other. So who is Harry 's family? If narrowed down his
family can be defined as Hermonie Granger and Ronald Weasley. However, his family members can be extended further to Ronald 's mother, too.
These individuals all support

Why Harry Was So Sick Of Being Lied
There he was again, staring out a window. This time, Harry was watching the suburban empire from which he had narrowly escaped, fly past in a
dizzying blur. The bus was small and oddly smelled of raisins, but he was on his way. He had managed to elude Petunia's hawk–like watch on him and
prevail against all odds. In his hand, he still tightly clutched the locket, half afraid it would suddenly slip through his fingers. Quite honestly, it
wouldn't surprise him if it did. In the wizarding world, anything was possible. Which was sometimes an unprecedented problem. Through the hexes
and curses, riddles and potions, it could be hard to know what to believe. Harry was so sick of being lied to. It was an infuriating game of tag and

Strangely though, Petunia was still sitting at the table. Almost expectantly, like she was waiting for something. Noticing Harry still standing
there, she gave him a nasty glare. "What are you still doing here, boy?" The malice in her tone was evident, as always. Harry sighed and left.
Though he tried to ignore it, Harry couldn't help but remain curious over Petunia's peculiar anxiety. Lying awake in bed, he listened. The house
was quiet for the longest time, aside from the low hum of the television. Then, Harry heard the phone ring. Petunia must've jumped up suddenly,
because he heard her chair scrape against the floor. Petunia hissed into the phone urgently. Swiftly slinking out of bed, Harry carefully opened his
door. Edging along the hallway, he moved until Petunia's voice was just around the corner. "Yes. I have it. I've had it ever since Lily died. No.
Lily's pensieve is safe. I understand. It remains in the package hidden in the kitchen. It's inside an empty jar on a topmost shelf." Harry had gone
pale. His mother's memories were in this very house, just within his grasp. And now, he knew exactly where they were. "Listen, I don't want to be in
any part of this... None of this was supposed to happen... that was an accident..." Harry was already dashing back to the cupboard. He hardly got any
sleep that night. Thoughts of what this pensieve could possibly hold, kept him up. But why did Petunia have it? Harry

Themes In The BookHarry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone
Extra Excellent English Essay
J.K. Rowling's book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," represents a world of intense magic and crazy adventures. Harry Potter, Hermione
Granger, and Ron Weasley face difficult tasks like trying to solve problems that they have never come to, and stepping into new settings that seem may
seem dangerous or unusual for them. Throughout the book, one can learn that the main characters have to overcome many obstacles that requires
sacrificing themselves for the good of others. The theme in, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," is easily shown in the middle of the story. After
Neville fell off his broom and the Remembrall fell out of his pocket, Malfoy took it and Harry stood up against him. The book states, "The
Remembrall glittered in the sun as he held it up...'Give it here!' Harry yelled" (Rowling 148). This is showing that Harry wanted to do what was right
and the only way to do that was by telling Malfoy to stop. The book also states, "'Madam Hooch told us not to move –– you'll get us all into trouble.'...
He mounted the broom and kicked hard against the ground and up, up he soared" (Rowling 148). These pieces of evidence both connect to the
theme because Malfoy would have beat Harry up for talking back to him, and he could've got the class into huge trouble for not listening to Madam
Hooch. Instead of keeping himself safe and out of trouble, he sacrificed himself and the class' needs just for the good of Neville.

Comparison Of Freud And Jentsch 's Concept Of The Uncanny
In 1919, Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, published his own psychological
investigation on the notion of "uncanny." Previous studies were conducted on this subject by the
German psychologist Ernst Anton Jentsch, and served as the starting point for Freud's analysis.
However, the feeling of "uncanny" was not an easy concept to identify. Jentsch concluded that it
fits in the area of the fear of the unfamiliar and intellectual uncertainty. Freud, with some
opposition to Jentsch's investigation, took it further from what Jentsch concluded. Freud
theorizes that "the 'uncanny' is that class of terrifying which leads back to something long
known to us, once very unfamiliar."(Freud, 1) Coraline by Neil Gaiman as well Harry Potter by
J.K Rowling include examples of both Freud and Jentsch's concept of the "uncanny".
Firstly, the etymology of the word "uncanny" is informative. In English, its etymology is
straightforward. The meaning of the word is like the antithesis of "heimlich...meaning 'familiar',
'native', 'belonging to home'." (Freud, 2) To be canny is to be good at dealing with things.
Contrary to canny, uncanny are things which we can not comprehend or believe. To us humans,
many things are frightening, yet familiar: spiders, snakes, height, failure, loss of loved ones,
driving, etc. These are not uncanny because we understand loss, discomfort, and death. When we
are faced with these situations we know why we are frightened, but that

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets Essay
When people watch or think of their favorite movie, they don't usually sit and analyze the underlying philosophical themes within them. However, in
reality, understanding the philosophical ideas is an important aspect if someone wants to perceive the movie as a whole. So why do people not catch
these important aspects within their "favorite" movies? There could be many reasons, but the two most prominent are that the viewers lack
philosophical knowledge or the directors disguise these issues so well they're almost impossible to notice. One of my favorite films, Harry Potter and
the Chamber of Secrets, contains many hidden philosophical themes I never detected in a multitude of previous viewings. Although the movie contains
multiple philosophical ideas, the most significantly recurring philosophical theme is that there is strength within a community and in our relationships
with others. Furthermore, it is important to understand that our relationships with others can ultimately determine our choices.
Before analyzing the severity of this philosophical theme, it is necessary to have a basic understanding of the overall plot of this movie. The movie
begins with the protagonist, Harry Potter, spending a dreadful summer with his only surviving family, the Dursleys. During a dinner party, Harry is
visited by a house–elf, Dobby. When Harry declines Dobby's warning to not return to Hogwarts, he turns the dinner into a disaster. The enraged

The Theme Of Friendship In Harry Potter And Goblet Of Fire
Joanne Kathleen Rowling has captured the hearts of millions of readers around the world with Harry Potter's series, and she comes back to the
fourth book. The series is mostly about a boy, whose parents were killed by an evil sorcerer, who was called as "One whom one can not call." This
provides hours of pleasant and enjoyable reading. This book is a thriller, a comedy, and a school life story. InHarry Potter and Goblet of Fire, the author
shows the importance of friendship, combines several themes such as power, fear, good vs. evil, youth, and tells how to survive in the witchcraft world.
The Triwizard Tournament almost ruined the friendship between three best friends: Hermione Granger,Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. First, there were
many things going on in Hogwarts while the tournament: Voldemort is back, each character has personal issues, Harry cannot focus on competition
and cannot handle the conflict between Hermione and Ron. Ron is jealous of Viktor Krum because he went with Hermione to the ball. As I understood,
Ron has feelings for Hermione but does not show it by fighting and arguing with her, and acting silly, however, Harry notices that. "Well,[Ron]
spluttered, looking thunderstruck, 'well – that just proves – completely missed the point –'
Harry didn't say anything. He liked being back on speaking terms with Ron too much to speak his mind right now – but he somehow thought that
Hermione had got the point much better than Ron had."(432) "Just because it's taken

The Importance of Teamwork and Alliances in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix In the world of Harry Potter, dark forces are a constant
threat. Throughout the movie, the characters fight several dark forces. Although the students have participated in battles in the past four movies, they
are now attempting to take it all alone. However, after struggling to build up the talent and experience in order to pose a threat to the Death Eaters and

Research Paper On Ron Weasley
While Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series is often seen as a wizard, he happens to be a lot more than that. While being a wizard may be his
strong suit, he's also a very goofy person. He entertains his friends and peers with his goofiness, or just plain stupidness at certain times. I can relate to
Ron on many levels.
Ron Weasley is one of Harry Potters closest friends in the Harry Potter series. One of Ron's unique aspects to his personality is his way of being loyal.
He's stayed by Harry Potters side throughout the whole series. I would like to think of myself very similar to Ron because of this. I always like to
stay close to my friends. I always like to try to cheer people up, I feel if I were to cheer someone up then that someone would always be there for me.
Another part of Ron that makes him who he is remarks that, well, could be somewhat offensive to people. Remarks like "A cat? Is that what they told

Whether it's a rat or a owl he never seems to stray from wildlife. These animals throughout the series really helps show that Ron is a good person,
and doesn't intend to do harm to anyone. He's probably best well known for his rat, Scabbers, who never seems to leave his side. I share a very similar
love for animals. While rats probably wouldn't be my ideal choice for a pet, I still enjoy the company of an animal very much. They always talk about
dogs being man's best friend, but I think any animal could be anyone's best friend if they really wanted to.
Ron Weasley might not share the same physical appearance as me, but we think pretty similar. We are sarcastic, loyal, and well, sometimes just
plain mean. Ron Weasley probably isn't the first person people will compare to me, but if you really look into our personalities you would be
surprised how similar we are. Ron Weasley is definitely my favorite Harry Potter character, and if he's yours too, you might find to like me just as

How Is Harry Potter Related To Religion
"The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure. Thoughts are not etched on the inside of skulls, to be perused by an invader.
The mind is a complex and many–layered thing." (Severus Snape, Book five.) The book series entitled 'Harry Potter' has Biblical themes hidden
beneath all of the spells, charms, and enchantments. Harry Potter, in my own opinion, is very Christ like and I feel like the book series could be looked
at like a modernized version of the bible. He resembles Jesus Christ in multiple ways. J.K Rowling has subtly featured religious symbolism in her
books such as, Harry dying for the wizarding world much like Jesus died willingly for our sins. After they died, they were both resurrected. Fawkes, the

The presence of a phoenix reinforces the underlying theme of conquering death by embracing life, just like Harry and Jesus did.
Harry and Jesus know a lot about Sacrifice and selflessness. All of the characters in the Harry Potter series experiences sacrificial love. Hermione
Granger, one of Harry's two sidekicks throughout his school years, has to obliviate her parents' minds because she doesn't want them getting hurt. Her
mother and father are both muggles, therefore Voldemort would find them and murder them. Ronald Weasley, Harry's other sidekick, sacrifices
himself in a game of Wizard's Chess for Hermione and Harry in their first year at Hogwarts. Dobby the house elf, who has saved Harry's life on many
occasion, sacrificed his life to save Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna Lovegood and Mr. Olivander out of pure love and friendship. Harry's mother and
father, Lily and James Potter, sacrificed their selves for their only son just like Jesus Christ sacrificed his body for us and he sacrificed his life on earth
for us. Both Harry and Jesus did such a selfless thing for the people they loved and cared for.
Every character from the bible resembles a person from the bible. Harry resembles Jesus because he's the chosen one who died willingly for the
people of the wizarding world. The D.A. (Dumbledore's Army) and the Order are his disciples. Voldemort resembles the Satan. Lucifer turned against

no matter how many times Tamsin asked. It was like she was completely clueless. A lot had happened in the past week. Tamsin had met a nice boy at
the robe shop, and he explained where everything was, with surprisingly no questions. When she had gotten back to the red headed freaks, she didn't
say anything, just continued her shopping; and after that, she went to the cheap freak house. She did not like the Weasleys. That much was obvious.

That they are an escape for Harry and Nick's complicated lives. Without these two sports the characters would be completely different. Even
though there are many similarities between these two novel, there is one key difference in these novels. This key difference is the setting of the
teacher that hates them. For Nick this is his language arts teacher. For Harry this is Snape. In Nick case the setting is the classroom and the mood

which is Snape's classroom. The mood that I got for there is trapped and scared which isn't even close to what the other classroom's mood. I mean
boring and trapped could be similar but I think these are quite different. In Harry's case he is scared and trapped because Snape tries to hurt him. In

Genealogy and Social Class: Prejudice in Harry Potter Essay
While writing the bestseller Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone J.K. Rowling was struggling on welfare in a coffee shop. Like Rowling, the
heros in her novel are social outcasts. Harry is an orphan; Ron comes from poverty; and Hermione comes from a non–wizard family. Harry grows up

(44). Because of the Dursley's perceived superiority to wizards, it took Harry eleven years to find out the truth about his parent's death and his
inherent gift of wizardry. They tried to mould him into a "normal" boy, one that fits their inflated values but it did not work. He is inferior in the
Dursley's eyes and this is why he was treated in such a cruel manner. If prejudice from non–magical folk exists, so must prejudice from magical folk.
Non–magical people are called "Muggles" by the wizard community. There are no negative implications to the word, unless there is intent. Draco
Malfoy is a boy who comes from a pure wizard family who uses the term "Muggle" in a negative connotation; to him anyone who is not pure–blood is

Friendship in Harry Potter Essay
Friendship in Harry Potter
Friendship is an in–depth relationship mixing trust, loyalty and support. It is the combination of understanding, empathy and intimacy.
But, no one can form a friendship until he/she realizes that the basis of being friends is meeting the needs of the other person. One must be a friend in
order to have one (Mugglenet). Friendship and its main components: loyalty–trust, support, and similar values are very well emphasized in Harry Potter
and The Sorcerer's Stone.
Trust and loyalty go hand–in–hand for friends. Friends are trusted with secrets, both large and small, because good friends never break a confidence.

It is hard to be a good friend as well as to find one. There are many obstacles and situations that may interfere between friends at certain times.
However, obstacles are what many times define a true friend.
He/she is the one that comes–in when the whole world has walked away.
For instance, Harry and Ron risked been spelled from Hogwarts as well as their own lives in order to rescue Hermione from the troll in the girls'
bathroom on Halloween. From that day on, the three of them became inseparable friends. Additionally, friends must be flexible and understanding.
Whenever there's conflict, it must be resolved for friendship to continue flawlessly.
Besides being loyal and caring for each other, friends most have similar values in order for the relationships to last. The values are so important that
require friends' values to be very close to each other, otherwise there's not going to be enough respect for this friend. This is why Ron Weasley and
Harry Potter is such a good bond.
They are both kids of good feelings and values, plus they were children that had little attention. For instance, Ron is one of many brothers in the
family, so all he gets are used items from his older brothers. Even worse is Potter, the adopted nephew of the muggle aunt and uncle Dursley, who
spoil their son Dudley and in contrast discriminate Harry and make his life miserable.

up for his classmate to take back Neville Longbottom's belonging against Draco Malfoy for the first time. To illustrate, Malfoy said, "'Look!' said
Malfoy, darting forward and snatching something our of the grass. 'It's that stupid thing Longbottom's gran sent him... 'Give that here, Malfoy,' said
Harry quietly. Everyone stopped talking to watch.'" (Rowling 148) Rowling describes Malfoy as an opposite of Harry, a

First Compressions In Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
Although first impressions are given quite a bit of weight in our society, they are often wrong. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry has
several first impressions of new characters. Ludo Bagman is a great guy who works for the ministry: funny, nice, and always cheerful, he's very popular
with Hogwarts students. Fleur Delacour is a French Beauxbatons student who is gorgeous, and very aware of it. She is always complaining about
Hogwarts and thinks the world revolves around her, and only her. Professor Alastor Moody was an auror in his time, and since he has caught so
many dark wizards, he is very paranoid, leading many people to believe he is insane. However, he is chosen to become the new Defense Against the
Dark Arts teacher, and he knows what he is talking about. These are all true statements about these three characters. Or are they? Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire, by JK Rowling, explores the concept of first impressions, revealing that even "The Chosen One" holds opinions on people that are
completely incorrect.
Ludo Bagman is supposedly an amazing person who wants to see the underdog win, but Fred and George Weasley quickly learn that he is not the
perfect man he seems to be. When Ludo comes to Hogwarts to judge the Triwizard Tournament, the students cheer very loudly when his name is
announced, and he happily waves back. Everyone seems to adore him, yet in the background, Fred and George know the truth about the deceitful man.

London, Diagon Alley, A Dark Artifacts Area
Various locations in the UK including London, Diagon Alley, number twelve Grimmauld Place, outside all over london, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft
and Wizardry.
Diagon Alley is accessible from Muggle (people who doesn't have magic) London through the Leaky Cauldron, which is on Charing Cross Road, set
between a bookshop and a record shop. The Muggles who pass by the inn seem to be "quite unconscious" of its existence. Knockturn Alley, a dark
artefacts area, is an offshoot of Diagon Alley, as are the areas of Horizont Alley and Carkitt Market.
The entrance is behind the Leaky Cauldron in a small, walled courtyard with a dustbin. Diagon Alley can be accessed by tapping the correct brick
in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron (from the trash can, three up and two across). The wall goes in a small hole first but forms a large archway. It
can also be accessed by Floo powder and Apparition. There may be other entrances as well.
Inside the Alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sites; some even have tables out front with coloured umbrellas. Particularly during the
days or weeks before school starts at Hogwarts, the location is packed with witches and wizards, though shops are open year–round as witches and
wizards travel to the location for various goods. While the shops include many school–supply locations, there are also many locations important to the
wizarding world, such as Gringotts Wizarding Bank and Ollivanders. Diagon Alley is also the location of

Harry Potter's Development of Friendships Essay
Harry Potter's Development of Friendships
The novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling, is a story about an orphan named Harry Potter who is sent to live with his
relatives, the Dursleys. For the first ten years of his life, Harry is hated and ignored by his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon. Harry has never
experienced a friendship with anyone until the day he is sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Throughout the school year, Harry
develops a balance of friendship between Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Neville Longbottom. Each of them, has a need to belong somewhere.
Together, they form a balance that make them each feel wanted in way that they have never known until they meet each other. On... Show more content

They both give each other strength to do things they would never do. Near the end of the book, Harry, Hermione, and Ron is going through multiple
tests to get to the Sorcerer's stone. Ron exclaims, " 'That's chess. You've got to make sacrifices! I'll take one step forward and she'll take me– that
leaves you free to checkmate the king, Harry' " (283)! Ron risks his life and safety to help his friends, something he would of never did at home.
Ron always thinks he is shadowed by his brothers. Ron fears he can never live up to his brother's history as heroes. Ron all along has courage that
he does not find out until he is finally recognized by Dumbledore who announces, " 'for the best played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many
years, I award Gryffindor fifty points' " (305). Ron and Harry helps each other find their strong points as their friendship grow stronger too.
Hermione Granger begins as book smart student. As the school year progresses,
Hermione and Harry help each other with their strengths and abilities. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Hermione always wanted to do everything by the
rules. Sometime during the year, she realized that friendship can be more important. Hermione explains, " 'Please, Professor McGonagall –they were
looking for me. I went looking for the troll because I –I thought I could deal with it on my own...' " (120). For the first time ever, Hermione has lied to
a teacher. This begins the turning point where Hermione, Harry,

Summary Of ' The Night Of The Devil '
Hermione woke up to, a pair of bright blue beady eyes staring right at her. "Ginny!" Hermione screamed falling onto the cold hard floor. "You
know, most people nudge the person they want to wake up...or wait." She grumbled looking at Ginny, who was laughing on the floor. "Sorry, I
thought it would be funny. And I was right" Ginny giggled helping Hermione up. Hermione just huffed then walked away to get ready for the
school day. "So what do you think of this new student Rose?" Hermione asked Ginny walking down the stairs to the common room. "I don 't really
know, all I know is she 's a Gryffindor, and in our grade. Ginny said. "Speaking of the devil," Hermione said reaching the bottom of the stairs to see

"Oh i 'm sorry, i didn 't mean to upset you," Hermione apologized. "It 's alright, you didn 't know," Rose replied. "So, i know it 's only been a few
days, but how do you like Hogwarts so far?" Ginny asked grabbing some toast. "I think it 's lovely, very welcoming," she replied grabbing eggs and
toast. "We 're glad you like it," Harry said. "So when do we know if we got into the Glee Club? Rose anxiously asked. "Well we don 't exactly know,
this is our first year having one, but I guessing it will around lunch time," Hermione said, looking at the rest of her friends knowing they know they
got in, "Well we 'll worry about that later, for now let 's get to class before Professor Flitwick has our heads," Harry chuckled. For Hermione the
first few classes dragged on. Flitwick just reviewed what they already learned from their sixth year. Potions with Slughorn was the same way but
they reviewed safety for when making potions. And Herbology well... It 's Herbology. It was a relief for her when they were dismissed for lunch.
Just as Hermione assumed the list for who was in the Glee Club was up on the bulletin board outside the great hall. She 's pushed her way through
the crowed to see who was on the list. Obviously Harry, Ginny, Ron, Neville, Luna and herself were on the list. Rose was on the list. A few
Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. And surprisingly Malfoy was on the list. There were underlined words under the

A Separate Peace Movie Vs Book

  • 1. A Separate Peace Movie Vs Book There are so many changes between the book and the movie. The book was a lot better than the movie I think. When a producer makes a movie out of a book, they take the most interesting things from the book and just erase the rest of it. Us book lovers absolutely hate when they go to watch a movie based off a book they love and they leave out the most important details. The book first opens up with Frank Bryce's history, about how he was accused of murdering the Riddle family he worked for, many years ago. This is omitted from the movie. Bertha Jorkins, the Ministry employee that Wormtail and Voldemort capture and question, and who gives Voldemort the information about the Triwizard Tournament being placed at Hogwarts is also not in the movie.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Weasley gives Ron his dress robes before the start of school, but as Mrs. Weasley is omitted from this movie, Ron gets his dress robes by post and Errol delivers them to him while in the Great Hall. Colin and Dennis Creevey are omitted from the movie. In the book, when they first arrive at school Peeves is throwing water balloons at the students as they are gathered in the hall, and they see the sorting ceremony for the new first years, but this is omitted from the movie. In the book, the Sorting Hat sings a new song about the history of Hogwarts and the Founders which is not shown in the movie. The arrival of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons schools occurs on 30th of October and not on the 1st of September as in the movie. Padma Patil is in Ravenclaw and not in Gryffindor. Malfoy as a ferret scene is very extended in the movie. In the movie, Moody demonstrates the three Unforgivable Curses on a single spider, ultimately killing it. In the book, he uses a different spider for each one, and later is also shown using the Imperius Curse on students in order to teach them how to overcome its effects. Madame Maxime is said to be the same height as Hagrid, while in the movie she's noticeable taller. The movie implies that Durmstrang is an all–boy school and Beauxbatons all–girl, the book however, portraits both school as mixed gender schools, as a boy is shown in Beauxbatons and a girl is shown in Durmstrang. Neither school does any presentation when they arrive. Fleur Delacour as a part–Veela is omitted. Probably because the Veela and all the explanations given about them at the World Cup are also not present. Also, the Beauxbatons pupils are rather unhappy about being at Hogwarts. Fred and George are not the only students to try to find a way around the age line on the Goblet of Fire. When Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore remains very calm, he asks Harry if he did it, to which Harry replies "no". Draco and his fellow Slytherins ... I really liked this book. This book is a fiction book. That of course means it's not true. Harry Potter is a twelve–year–old boy whose parents were killed by Voldemort.Harry has a scar shaped like a lighting bolt on his forehead. He has black hair, like his father, and green eyes, like his mother.Ron Weasley is a red haired, freckled faced boy. Ron is Harry's best friend. They went to the bank, Gringotts, for money to buy their books. Next, they went to Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart, a famous wizard, was signing books. They got their books and went back to the Burrow. A few days later, they all packed their stuff up and took the flying car to the station. • 3. How Is Harry Potter A Marxist Topic: Marxist analysis of the Harry Potter book series by J.K. When it comes to literature and approaching it from a Marxist point of view, it can be said that every piece of literary work tells us something about the real world and that the author (either consciously or subconsciously) creates his or her world as a reflection of reality. As an opposition to New Criticism (whose primary focus was the text and text only), Marxist criticism centres on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Weasleys are a good example of a big poor family with a hard working father; they live in a modest house and are constantly short of cash. The Weasleys clearly represent the Proletariat. It should be pointed out that Rowling portrays this family in a very positive way. They are the closest friends of the protagonist and, despite their poverty, always help Harry however they can. On the other hand, there are also the Malfoys (here representing the Bourgeoisie); it is a very wealthy family which takes pride in belonging to a rich magical bloodline. They despise people like the Weasleys, mainly because they are poor and bring shame to the magical community (Draco Malfoy, who is Harry's peer in Hogwarts, becomes his immediate enemy as soon as they meet). These two contrasting portrayals showcase the class division present in the series. We also very clearly can see which class the author prefers. Apart from that, there is a concept of blood purity; the Bourgeoisie believe they are superior and generally better people – the same might be said about those who in Rowling's universe are of pure blood (meaning they do not mix with non–magical people and have an entirely magical bloodline). Hermione, who is Muggle–born (comes from a totally non–magical family), occasionally gets ridiculed for her background, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Place Of The Room Well, it seemed his "tomorrows" had run out. Nothing to do now but make the best of the situation, while hoping that Lily was still inside the occupied room. Lily... yes, that was definitely a complication. The boy would have no choice but to empty the room before he 'd be able to search for the diadem. This was Lily, after all– when had she ever been content to sit idly by when danger was about? Severus shook his head, making another attempt to enter the room. He focused all his energy on the place he wished to access, grunting in frustration when the wall remained blank. Fuck. He couldn 't stand out here all night. Granted, The Dark Lord hadn 't attempted to summon him yet, but judging by the mild yet persistent burning in his forearm, it was only a matter of time. "What the hell am I supposed to do?" he said aloud, only to gasp as a small object brushed against his leg. Charity. In the midst of all the upheaval, he 'd forgotten the bloody cat. Unfortunately, the film adaptations of the Harry Potter books have slandered his depth and relegated him to the position of comic relief and placeholder. From even the first movie, Ron's character has been forced under thorough defamation, resulting in a character wholly unlike his written counterpart, and the dynamics of our trio was transmogrified into hero, heroine, and mascot. Having been robbed of a truly fascinating character, a substantial slice of the fanbase either harbours scorn or expresses unmitigated vitriol towards Ron. • 15. The Significance Of Family In Harry Potter And The... Unit 1: Families – Essay Assignment Family can have numerous meanings depending on the individual defining the term. The term can exclusively mean blood relatives, or it can branch out to close friends. It just so happens that one of the more important themes in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer 's Stone is family. However, the defining factor of family for Harry, the protagonist of the novel, are not his blood relatives. For Harry, his family shares no aspect of a family tree, his family are his exceptionally bosom friends. Deplorably, unfortunate events plagued Harry from experiencing a mother 's love, or a father 's guidance. Harry 's parents were murdered by the antagonist of the novel, Voldemort, leaving Harry without suitable blood relatives. His only living relatives are his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin; and they are less than welcoming to Harry. His Uncle, Aunt, and cousin often "spoke about Harry ... as though he wasn 't there – or rather, as though he was something very nasty that couldn 't understand them, like a slug" (Rowling 27–28). Although this assemblage of people are related to Harry, they can scarcely be characterized as Harry 's family. Families are meant to fulfill and support emotional and social needs, as well as protect and care for each other. So who is Harry 's family? If narrowed down his family can be defined as Hermonie Granger and Ronald Weasley. However, his family members can be extended further to Ronald 's mother, too. These individuals all support ... • 17. Themes In The BookHarry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone Extra Excellent English Essay J.K. Rowling's book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," represents a world of intense magic and crazy adventures. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley face difficult tasks like trying to solve problems that they have never come to, and stepping into new settings that seem may seem dangerous or unusual for them. Throughout the book, one can learn that the main characters have to overcome many obstacles that requires sacrificing themselves for the good of others. The theme in, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," is easily shown in the middle of the story. After Neville fell off his broom and the Remembrall fell out of his pocket, Malfoy took it and Harry stood up against him. The book states, "The Remembrall glittered in the sun as he held it up...'Give it here!' Harry yelled" (Rowling 148). This is showing that Harry wanted to do what was right and the only way to do that was by telling Malfoy to stop. The book also states, "'Madam Hooch told us not to move –– you'll get us all into trouble.'... He mounted the broom and kicked hard against the ground and up, up he soared" (Rowling 148). These pieces of evidence both connect to the theme because Malfoy would have beat Harry up for talking back to him, and he could've got the class into huge trouble for not listening to Madam Hooch. Instead of keeping himself safe and out of trouble, he sacrificed himself and the class' needs just for the good of Neville. Later in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 18. Comparison Of Freud And Jentsch 's Concept Of The Uncanny In 1919, Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, published his own psychological investigation on the notion of "uncanny." Previous studies were conducted on this subject by the German psychologist Ernst Anton Jentsch, and served as the starting point for Freud's analysis. However, the feeling of "uncanny" was not an easy concept to identify. Jentsch concluded that it fits in the area of the fear of the unfamiliar and intellectual uncertainty. Freud, with some opposition to Jentsch's investigation, took it further from what Jentsch concluded. Freud theorizes that "the 'uncanny' is that class of terrifying which leads back to something long known to us, once very unfamiliar."(Freud, 1) Coraline by Neil Gaiman as well Harry Potter by J.K Rowling include examples of both Freud and Jentsch's concept of the "uncanny". Firstly, the etymology of the word "uncanny" is informative. In English, its etymology is straightforward. The meaning of the word is like the antithesis of "heimlich...meaning 'familiar', 'native', 'belonging to home'." (Freud, 2) To be canny is to be good at dealing with things. Contrary to canny, uncanny are things which we can not comprehend or believe. To us humans, many things are frightening, yet familiar: spiders, snakes, height, failure, loss of loved ones,

However, in reality, understanding the philosophical ideas is an important aspect if someone wants to perceive the movie as a whole. So why do people not catch these important aspects within their "favorite" movies? There could be many reasons, but the two most prominent are that the viewers lack philosophical knowledge or the directors disguise these issues so well they're almost impossible to notice. One of my favorite films, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, contains many hidden philosophical themes I never detected in a multitude of previous viewings. Although the movie contains multiple philosophical ideas, the most significantly recurring philosophical theme is that there is strength within a community and in our relationships with others. Furthermore, it is important to understand that our relationships with others can ultimately determine our choices. Before analyzing the severity of this philosophical theme, it is necessary to have a basic understanding of the overall plot of this movie. The movie begins with the protagonist, Harry Potter, spending a dreadful summer with his only surviving family, the Dursleys. During a dinner party, Harry is visited by a house–elf, Dobby. The Triwizard Tournament almost ruined the friendship between three best friends: Hermione Granger,Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. First, there were many things going on in Hogwarts while the tournament: Voldemort is back, each character has personal issues, Harry cannot focus on competition and cannot handle the conflict between Hermione and Ron. Ron is jealous of Viktor Krum because he went with Hermione to the ball. As I understood, Ron has feelings for Hermione but does not show it by fighting and arguing with her, and acting silly, however, Harry notices that. They tried to mould him into a "normal" boy, one that fits their inflated values but it did not work. He is inferior in the Dursley's eyes and this is why he was treated in such a cruel manner. If prejudice from non–magical folk exists, so must prejudice from magical folk. Non–magical people are called "Muggles" by the wizard community. Draco Malfoy is a boy who comes from a pure wizard family who uses the term "Muggle" in a negative connotation; to him anyone who is not pure–blood is inferior. Readers are first confronted with prejudice in this form when Harry meets Malfoy in Diagon Alley and is asked about his family: "...they were our kind weren't they?... I really don't think they should let the other sort in do you? They are just not the same, they've never been brought up to know our ways" (60–61).
