High School Career
Throughout my high school career, I've endured history class after history class; however, I am no history buff. My niche happens to fall in the STEM
subjects: science, technology, engineering and math. So, my brain prefers to think in terms of numerics––and there I sat––in AP World and US history
classes, learning what seemed to me as silly, trivial facts about history, until a particular subject grasped my attention: the evolution of technology and
the unfathomable thoughts of inventors. From the cotton gin to the typewriter, the camera to the telephone, the programmable computer to the world
wide web, the rage of new inventions always explodes across the globe. And as I always tend to look towards the future, the constant curiosity... Show

Beginning as a miniscule stem cell, an eventual organ can save a life. A major goal of mine is to turn what is inevitable into preventable; stem cells
have proven to be an option to prevent unnecessary, sorrowful events. A step further, the way to benefit people in rare circumstances is through
personalised treatment and care that can only be made possible with 3D printing. Bertalan MeskГі describes the miracle that saved Kaiba Gionfriddo
from death after being born prematurely...bioprinting happened to be the miracle. After his caretakers bioprinted a device that instantly helped him
breathe, Kaiba could be taken off a ventilator and breathe through an entire day (it was abnormal for him to make it an entire day without being
unable to breathe.) "This case is considered a prime example of how customized 3D printing is transforming healthcare as we know it," according to
MeskГі.
Seven years ago, my grandfather passed away from oral cancer. As a ten year old, I didn't understand what was happening as I stood by the bed of my
Pap at the hospice center. Fighting through years of chemotherapy and radiation, trips to Indianapolis for treatment, and living in my house along with
my grandmother, my Pap was defeated by cancer on July 24 of 2009. My interest in bioprinting constantly makes me wonder "what if." The major
developments with bioprinting tailored treatments started only recently. Now, I know I cannot change

Innovation : The Most Innovative Thing You 've Done?
Innovation: What is the most inventive or innovative thing you've done?
I've been involved in many technical innovations for learning and instructions, such as co–founding the first software company to publish a
standards–based learning management system (Solis Pathway LMS, 1994). I co–authored the draft document of IEEE 1484.11.2 ECMASCRIPT API
For Content to Runtime Services Communication) the JavaScript API underlying the SCORM (Shareable Courseware Object Reference Model). More
recently, I co–invented US Patent No 9,261,965 B2 "Touch Surface Overlay Panel".
However, I believe the most innovative thing I've done is establish a team and model to sustain learning innovation over time.

I encourage further questions on the approach and examples. I also welcome additional questions on the team, which I will not be addressing in detail
here.
The Approach: It's Inspiration and Evolution
The approach I evolved had its origins in three sources or experiences:
A 2011 article from MIT Technology Review, "Four Principles for Crafting Your Innovation Strategy" (by Paul B. Carroll and Chunka Mui),
Participation in a 2011 "Agile Vancouver" seminar, including an early presentation by Ash Maurya on his evolving "Lean Canvas" for the Lean
Startupв„ў approach (Lean Startup is a trademark of Eric Ries, Ash Maury published "Running Lean"), and
Personal observations from participating in Masie Center events and my work as a Masie Fellow. (The Masie Center identifies as an "International
thinktank dedicated to exploring the intersection of learning and technology.")
In the MIT article, Carroll and Mui reviewed and consolidated a pattern of innovation they summarize as "Think big, start small, fail quickly, scale
fast." This approach is consistent with Lean Startupв„ў approaches as well as the classic Lean Manufacturing approaches widely understood in
manufacturing. We modified the original mantra to "Think Big. Start Small. Learn Quick. Scale Fast/Move On."
Our "Scale Fast/Move On" action that weighed the results of a Lean "Build–Measure–Learn" loop against market and production viability. With
positive viability the course team would liaison part–time with peers

3D Printinging : Additive Manufacturing : 3D Printing
ME 121 – FA17 – Additive Manufacturing – 3D Printing
Muthukrishnarajah, Dharshana
The beginning stage for any 3D printing process is a 3D advanced model, which can be made utilizing an assortment of 3D programming programs – in
industry this is 3D CAD, for Makers and Consumers there are less complex, more open projects accessible – or filtered with a 3D scanner. The model
is then 'cut' into layers, along these lines changing over the plan into a record decipherable by the 3D printer. The material prepared by the 3D printer
is then layered by the outline and the procedure. As expressed, there are various diverse sorts of 3D printing advancements, which process distinctive
materials in various approaches to make the last protest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
PCs dislike people; they can't simply take a gander at a 3D demonstrate and basically tell their companion 'Mr. 3D Printer' what to print. Parts of 0s
are included, which means parcels and heaps of PC code. Once a 3D demonstrate is planned or just downloaded off of a storehouse like Thingiverse,
the record (these for the most part have augmentations, for example, 3MF, STL, OBJ, PLY, and so forth.) must be changed over into something many
refer to as G–code.
G–code is a numerical control coding utilized for the most part for PC helped producing (both subtractive and added substance fabricating). It is a
dialect which advises a machine how to move. Without G–code there would be no chance to get for the PC to impart where to store, cure or sinter a
material amid the creation procedure. Projects, for example, Slic3r are required keeping in mind the end goal to change over 3D demonstrate
documents into G–code. Once the G–code is made it can be sent to the 3D printer, giving an outline regarding what its next a few thousand moves will
comprise of. These means all indicate the total creation of a physical question. There are other coding languages out there and maybe many will in the
long run pick up fame, yet until further notice G–code is by a long shot the most critical.2
Then 3D printing is one of the best options for manufacturing due to one reason compared of using

Prosthetic 3D Printers
One of the solutions that Pro–sthetic Printers developed is a glove functioning as a prosthetic hand with a rechargeable source located in a "watch"
compartment. There will be a number pad on the top of the hand, used to control the motions of the fingers. Each joint will have a number
assigned to it, as seen in Figures 1 and 2. The numbers can be pressed in specific sequences to trigger specific types of motion along the joints and
grips. The grip can then be released by pressing a cancel button on the number pad. Our idea is to make a new version of the Glove One, which is a
robotic glove that has the capabilities of a basic cell phone. This model will have a shape similar to the Glove One model and will also have a
similar range of motion. The prosthetic shall be able to slide over the users palm, like a glove, and will have hollow finger protrusions. The hollow
finger protrusions allow for the user's remaining anatomic fingers to work together with the prosthetic fingers. Our model will have five fingers
that can be programmed based on the user's needs. There will also be a velcro strap across the palm to ensure that the prosthetic model will not slip
off. The fingers of our model will have different joints so that the user can have a wide range of motion. Our prosthetic model will be able to do more
complex motions than just the whole hand grasp, as seen in Figures 3,4 and 5. Viable Solution: A vital part of our solution shall be that it meets each

Area Rugs
Area rugs have the ability to transform the look and feel of a room in just minutes. It goes without saying that they make powerful floor artwork
pieces and that is why they have not been phased out in these modern times. If anything, rugs have gone beyond the traditional, culture based system
to a more 21st century kind of process that provides for a quicker production of area rugs in bulk. Despite the growth of the carpet manufacturing
industry, traditional weavers continue to reap from their labor intensive venture as the demand for antique rugs soars on a daily basis. If you have
been thinking about styling up your home, maybe a rug is all you need. This is because it is much easier to pick out something that complements your

It should only extend at least two feet on each side of the bed so that it doesn't cover the whole room. You can also use runners instead on each side
of the bed to create the same effect. 2.Color Consider how various colors can work with existing tones of the floor, walls, or ceiling if you do not
have furniture in the room. However, if a room is already furnished, pick a rug that is neutral in color or one that is secondary to the dominant
color in the room, so that it blends well with the rest of the dГ©cor. Deep, rich colors create intimacy while lighter colors seemingly enlarge the
space. On the other hand, area rugs can also act as a room's focal point to provide the main color source for furnishings in the room. 3.Patterns
Pattern is closely tied to color, therefore choose area rugs that match well with the colors and patterns in the room. If your walls or furniture are full
of patterns then a solid rug can balance out the dГ©cor to make it more appealing to the eye. However, if the main color in the room is solid, then a
bright patterned area rug is an excellent choice for livening up the space. 4.Size Look for rugs that leave an equal space all around the room. A rule of
thumb for average–sized rooms is a 10–20 inch space of bare floor between the rug's edges and the surrounding walls. Hall rugs should at least have
six inches of floor showing on both sides. While in larger

Designing Projects for the Public
Thousands people all over the world share their ideas to create future projects and that project is in art and animation. It is really wise to start from
the very beginning. The process of creating or even preparing for a big project takes time. In order to make a character or idea come to life one
needs the right tools. This is where the skills in art come in, basically the fun part. Everyone would like to see their ideas come to life and sharing it
with the public. Soon this will lead any person to create a project that involves gaming and animated television shows. Before starting a project there
are a few things a person may need. A character may be the important thing but there are other factors that are far more important. What would the
character do or what environment would it be placed in? The Developer also has to think about the storyboard which involves writing. Every project
needs to start with a story (How a Game pg.1). A person can make up their own story and can also receive help from anyone assisting in the project.
Everyone may be inspired by something they have seen which gives them many ideas for a good story. it is important for the team to come up with a
decision so they can know what fits. Once it is decided the team will start to work on the storyboard (How a Game pg.2).

Two Different Ways Of Carving A Sculpture And Casting
Carving a sculpture and casting are two different ways of making beautiful works of art. You can do so much more with carving because of all the
different tools that you can use, while casting is more limited to what you can do you can still make a great sculpture. Casting art can be used with a
medium which is clay, they use clay as a foundation and then they will use bronze as a permanent material which people will usually see during
casting works. You don't always have to use bronze as a casting material but they are recommended because of ancient China, Greece,Rome, and also
some parts of Africa, this is because these place developed bronze to work well with casting. For the mold of the sculpture is using "clay diluted with

The Rise Of Technology And Its Impact On Society
When thinking about the current society we live in, the conversation would be incomplete if the rise of technology was not mentioned. Technology
can be seen in every aspect of society. Whether it is for the professional workplace, or in the social interactions between children and teenagers,
technology rules everything people do. The consequence of technology can be both positive and negative, but there is no denying that it has had a
profound impact on society as a whole.
Social media and dating apps have taken over the way people communicate and interact with each other. Mediums of this communication include apps
such as Tinder, Grinder, Hot or Not, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. In the current years, single men and women feel more comfortable meeting
people and talking to them online rather than in person. However, this allows people to easily hide their identity and age online, which misleads
people into believing they are someone who they are not. This phenomena is commonly known by the term "catfishing". The show "Catfish" on MTV
exposes those who lie about their identity and uncovers the truth. Nev Schulman, the host of the television show "Catfish," was previously lied to and
scammed by Megan Faccio, who in reality was a woman named Angela Wesselman–Pierce. Nev never realized the person he was talking to had been
lying about her true identity. Soon, Nev began to investigate who "Megan" and later he learned that the woman he had been talking to was in

3d Printing Is Changing The World
3D printing is changing the world we live in today. Business Insider calls 3D printing "The Next Industrial Revolution" (Rega). Imagine having the
capability of producing any product you want at your fingertips within minutes; it is now possible because of 3D printing. Simply put, 3D printing is
the process of creating real objects by "printing" chosen substances layer by layer until the desired product is made, therefore 3D printing is sometimes
referred to as additive manufacturing. There are endless possibilities with 3D printing from the medical field, to manufacturing, automobiles, to
airplanes, and also personal use. 3D printed objects are going to be an integrated part of everyday life. Contrary to what you may think, 3D printing is
not new. Its roots stem from inkjet printer concepts. However, instead of printing with ink, it prints with material. The concept of 3D printing has
been around for about 30 years. It inventor Chuck Hull discovered it in 1983. One day, Hull became frustrated at how long it would take for small
plastic parts that he needed for his job to be manufactured and decided to fix this problem. At the time he was working for a business that made
plastic veneers for tables and other furniture items. They would put this liquid like substance on objects and then dry it using Ultra Violet (UV) light.
Hull got the great idea to take this liquid substance and the UV light and create 3D images by layering the liquid. Originally he called this

The 3D Industry is capital intensive. This may act as a barrier to small and medium sized entrepreneurs. There are several compliances that are required
from the industries such as under employment laws, the company many not be able prevent other companies from benefiting from some of their
former employees; failure to comply with U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other legislatures may result in fines, criminal penalties and impact the
goodwill of the company; and subject to a large number of environmental laws pertaining to compliance. These laws indirectly act as a barrier of
companies to enter the market. There are several other barriers such as limited mobility of operations due to manufacturing facilities, default in
payment by customers could lead to loss of huge account receivables which could impact the operation of the organisation; and disruption of
information technology systems or breach of data security could adversely affect the business. These may be serve as deterrents for new entrants from

Comparsion Of The Differences Between The 1950's And Today
There are many differences between today's entertainment and the past. From when the first mechanical television(TV) sets were sold to the public to
today there have been many changes and advances. The differences between the decades entertainment include the amount of educational and
informative programming, the amount of obscenity and violence, and the graphics.
The most noticeable difference between the early television and today is the graphics. When the first television came out for public consumption all
programming was broadcasted in black and white. "On January 12th, 1950, the general public was introduced to color television for the very first time
..." (tv obscurities) After that color television took off with the production and consumption of colored television sets. There was not much of a variety
in colored programming until the start of the 1965–1966 season when NBC broadcasted the vast majority of its primetime programming in color. (tv

The Medical Field Is Always Advancing. Research Is Providing
The medical field is always advancing. Research is providing new means of improvement and brand new technology. The technology is then used to
help patients recover and prevent diseases. Research and Development teams spend their entire careers testing and building new innovations to help
the field progress. Luckily, a new modern technology has been developed. What is this technology? The 3D printer. 3D printers are surprisingly older
than people think. They first started in the late 1980's and have rapidly progressed. Now the 3D printer has various applications in many fields such as

The study found that the students that used the 3D printed model had a richer learning experience. The technology allows the medical students to
better learn the different physical structures and organs. It also always them to practice different medical procedures and operations. Indeed, the
technology will help effectively train more capable doctors.
Another application is the ability to print models of patient's organs and specifically plan the surgery. For instance, surgeons used an MRI to scan a
patient's brain and print an exact replica. A surgery was needed to remove a tumor. The surgeons could see the depth of the tumor and specific
details. This technology allows them to plan and practice the surgical procedures for each patient's case. (see image above) The 3D printing
technology has improved how doctors can plan and practice to be able to perform precise procedures.
Also, the 3D printing technology provides medical schools with a less expensive alternative to using cadavers. Cadaver are difficult to acquire,
store, and need to be disposed of at certain times. High quality 3D printers are a little pricy, but are more cost effective. This is due to the
availability of digital files of different models of organs online. With the rising demand of 3D printers, the price is going down and becoming even
more affordable for medical schools. This is another way medical field is adapting to the 3D

3d Printing And Its Effects On The World Of Manufacturing
What if there was a machine that could make anything, in any combination of materials with infinite complexity, enabling users to manufacture goods
instantly at home? There would no longer be a need to go to a store or order a product online, saving people time and money. Fortunately, this
technology was invented 33 years ago and is known as 3D printing (Reichental). It is a reality today to create, 3D scan, or download 3D blueprints for
any physical object and manufacture them affordably in the home. With such technology, it is possible for anyone to produce high quality products
without having to buy them. This revolutionary technology is proving to be a game changer in the world of manufacturing, but it is causing many to
question the ethics of hyper–localized manufacturing and the ability for anyone to make anything. 3D printers are generating controversy surrounding
the ownership of designs, copyright laws, patent infringement, democratized counterfeiting, and illegal possession. 3D printing is ushering in a new
industrial age, but is challenging the current US patent system and compromising intellectual property rights, requiring reform to support next
generation design and manufacturing systems. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing is the process of making three dimensional objects

Marketing Plan for Samsung Essay
Introduction
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has proved to the world of business that they are one of the most advanced technology companies in terms of revenue.
With more advancement in the technology which the present market can handle at this point, Samsung has made the way for the future in electronics
industry. It is the largest mobile phone maker and television manufacturer.
Samsung's New Toy
One of the most popular new "toys" in the electronics market today, is the unbelievable 3D TV. First 3D TV was launched in 2010 March, and has
already had a significant impact on the electronics market (Wilson, 2010). With release earlier this year, Samsung has dominated the market,
controlling approximately 90% of the total share. One ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ability to market the brand name. Samsung has been able to position the market in such a way that it has marketed the brand name strategically. It has
been named the "top rising brand by Interbrand and is the 9th most valuable brand" valued nearly $33 billion (Interbrand, 2012).
Weaknesses The Company might be able to market the product nicely or it might have been able to get a large market share but there are certain
weaknesses which the company has. Some of them are listed below. Patent infringement. Samsung has a loose policy regarding the infringement of
patents. The company's patents were not done through a proper channel, thus ending up infringing Apple's and other firms' patents (Wikipedia, 2012).
This outcome damaged Samsung's reputation and suffered losses. Low profit margin. Samsung Electronics is the largest technology business in the
world in terms of revenue. But its low profit margin was the result of low cost of their product and a price cut they had to endure (Wikipedia, 2012).
Focus on too many products. This point could be the strength as well as the weakness. Samsung Electronic serves many industries with many different
products in them. They lost their focus because there were competing in too many products and too many industries, which was their disadvantage over
their competitors (Shaughnessy, 2013).
Opportunities

Introduction
This essay will convey in depth the definition of 3D printing and how it operates. It will also show some examples of different types of 3D printing
as well as show us how it can be useful in the industry of business, professional, education and home time. 3D printing can bring some advantages as
well as disadvantages not only to business but also to its employees. Printing this way will become more common as time goes by and can help the
industry limit on human error.
3D movies, holograms and much more have been created so why not have 3D printing. Three–dimensional printing has been extensively used in
engineering contexts for more than twenty years. However, it is only now that 3–D printing has taken the public's interest. With better alterations and
reduced costs over the years, technology has been mainly responsible for this amazing creation of top, front and side view objects printed.
A recent report done by industry consultancy and analysis firm McKinsey & Company said that 3D printing could cause some major advantages in the
global economy after some few years. One being that with consumers expecting more personalized features in the products they want to buy this would
mean that more time has to be spent making the products to the customers desires, it also means more value can be built into a product which, in return
could be used to generate customer loyalty and more income to the business (Maxey, 2014).

MMTJE1 Production Analysis
The comparison of actual performance to standard performance from MMJTE1 production results over one year shows the overall production

problems with quality control, 3D printers, and shipping/damage. To increase the quantity of toys produced, they need more hours of training, and their
equipment and process needs to be inspected and reviewed to determine why they had the largest amount of issues with quality control, 3D printers,

under different types of control, pre, concurrent, and feedback. Pre–control occurs before the work is performed and is aimed at eliminating behavior
that causes unfavorable results, such as training, while concurrently refers to employee performance or functioning equipment, and feedback refers to
the post performance against standards (Omran, 2005, p. 32). Although corrective actions are to be taken due to deviations from the plan, there are
other methods of determining deviations from the standard.
A few non–budgetary methods to review deviations are statistical analysis, break–even point analysis, operational audit, and personal observation.

Essay about Video Games and Violence: Cause, or Scapegoat?
It seems like everything coming out about video games is bad. A student tried to kill his fellow classmates, and he was an avid Call of Duty player.
A study has been released that proves that playing video games will turn you into a criminal. The many benefits of games and gaming, such as their
possible applications to education and their ability to tell more complex stories than other forms of media, are almost universally ignored. I know
better, though. Between the lifetime I've spent playing and loving video games, and the articles I've found, I can tell you that video games do not
cause violent behavior or thoughts. First of all, to assess the opposite claim: video games, especially popular ones, tend to be violent, using fighting as...

In addition, many studies use games that are wildly outdated and mismatched in their studies. One such study used the games Wolfenstein 3D and Myst,
both from the early nineties, and in completely genres. Certainly more modern games would be more appropriate for proving whether or not violent
games cause violent behavior, and certainly with less of a disconnect between the games than there would be between a shooter and a puzzle game,
which Wolfenstein 3D and Myst are respectively.(Kushner) Furthermore, no one is using video games as any sort of indicator of possible future
violent behavior. The blame only comes after a major violent incident. Partially, this is because of how ubiquitous gaming has become. A study in
1996 showed that 98.7 percent of children, regardless of gender, had played video games, with violent games being particularly popular with males (93
percent had played fighting game "Street Fighter II" alone.) That was just in 1996, meaning the number has surely grown since then. With that many
people playing video games, it's almost impossible to find a crime that can't be blamed on video games with the "They played games, that must be the
cause" argument. In truth, the only useful indicator of potential future violence (as reported in a 2007 Secret Service report) was the person in question
saying they wish to perform violent acts.(Ferguson) The next question is, if video games don't cause violence, then why

Technology Impact On Society
When reflecting open the current climate of our society, the conversation would be incomplete if the rise of technology was not mentioned.
Technology can be seen in every aspect of society. Whether it is for the professional workplace, or in the social interactions between children and
teenagers, technology rules everything people do. The consequence of technology can be both positive and negative, but there is no denying that it has
had a profound impact on society as a whole.

3D Display Essay
This great progress in display technologies have brought us a long way in how we receive, perceive, experience and interpret all the information. Mass
media –– film, entertainment, internet, gaming, architecture and data visualization –– have taken new shapes around these display technologies. One
important thing to note about all these displays is that all output only 2D imagery. They create a two–dimensional array of colored picture elements
a.k.a. pixels that, stacked tightly next to each other, project images or text. But in the real world, we see objects in three dimensions and we perceive
the third dimension with our naked eye.
Traditional 2D display devices show flat images that lack depth or 3D information. This restriction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This ability to resolve depth within in a scene either natural or virtual improves spatial understanding of the scene and reduces the cognitive load
associated with analysis and collaboration on complex tasks. With recent advancements in technology, true 3D displays are making their way into
mainstream. 3D display technologies are stereoscopic or autostereoscopic. Autostereoscopic displays do not require wearing special eye glasses to
view the 3D content. Light Field Displays and 3D volumetric displays are examples of autostereoscopic displays. On the other hand, binocular
stereoscopic displays require special eyewear to be able to view the 3D content, In many 3D display technologies, multiple views are typically used
to give a sense of depth and perspective. (Lages, Cordeiro, & Guedes, 2009). A survey by Air Force Research Laboratory(AFRL) suggests Joint
Terminal Attack Controllers(JTACs) who were shown 3D holograms and conventional 2D images rated 3D holograms to be more effective than the
2D imagery in terms of retaining height information (Martin, Holzback, Riegler, Smith, & Ki Tam, 2008). Studies have also found that virtual reality
devices can improve and enhance spatial ability and understanding by providing interactive 3D visualization (Lee, Wong, & Fung, 2009). In a study
examining the usefulness of stereo images in elementary school education, stereoscopic 3D images were shown to reveal details that were

It 's Robotic Arm Hovers
With the click of a button, a small machine buzzes to life. It's robotic arm hovers, lowers, then promptly repositions to hold a pair of syringes over a
set of petri dishes. With short, rapid bursts the syringes release a milky white paste, forming tiny little hexagons in each dish. After only a few minutes
they grow, resembling small honeycomb shaped structures. But these are no ordinary honeycombs–they're human livers (Tomo News). These small
phenomenon of biomedical engineering are identical to tissue samples of the real thing and constructed from actual human cells. But instead of being
grown in the lab or taken from a donor, the biomedical professionals at Organovo print them, just like they would a document. In the past two decades,
3–D printing has grown from a "niche manufacturing process" to a $2.7 billion industry, responsible for the fabrication of all sorts of things: toys,
jewelry, machine parts, and even food (Griggs). But now scientists are working to apply that same technology to the field of medicine. In labs around
the world, like the one at Organovo, scientists have begun to print prototype body parts including heart valves, ears, artificial bone, joints, menisci,
vascular tubes, and skin grafts, ("Bioprinting"). The innovation of this technology lies in the fact that it generates actual living human cells, allowing

General Electric Ge 90xe Engines
New Technology Commercial Aviation General Electric GE
–90XE Engines In March 2015, GE Aviation was granted the first FAA certification for a
3–D printed part to be installed in a jet engine. According to GE Aviation, the part is a T25 housing for a compressor inlet temperature sensor and will
be retrofitted on over 400 of its GE90–94B engines. The part was designed using a CAD program and a rapid prototype was made of metal alloy using
an SLS process. The final design was approved, the prototype was printed and tested, and the part was certified by the FAA in a 6–month period.
Normally, this process would take several years with traditional manufacturing methods. What is unique about this part is that it is printed as one
integral piece that contains internal cooling structures, making it less likely to coke (build up carbon during use) and overheat. According to GE
Aviation, it is also 25% lighter and 5 times more durable than the previous compressor inlet temperature sensor that it is replacing. It is printed as one
solid piece while the old part is made of 18 pieces fitted together (Radis, 2015). What really makes AM technology appealing to manufacturers like GE
Aviation is the ability to design parts without being limited by traditional manufacturing methods. The CAD computer allows the engineers to design
with intent and embed cooling structures or lubrication joints into a part; which was not previously feasible with traditional manufacturing. Engineers

3d Printing In Archaeology
Will 3D printing revolutionize our understanding of archaeology? 3D printing is a captivating advancement of technology that has profuse uses.
Different from all the previous manufacturing methods, 3D printing generates a product in an additive mode to form an intricate three dimensional
object, and therefore has the ability to produce the most complicated irregular object. This unique characteristic deems it highly impactful for
archaeology, where the structures of historical human forms and the tools they used are often very complicated and unique, and there are currently no
simple means to reproduce and study them. Clearly, 3D printing and scanning has many useful benefits to archaeology, and there is definitely room for
improvement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, plastic is the main material in most printers, and this material biodegrades EXTREMELY slowly: 450 to 1,000 years! This would
create a serious environmental problem if objects were discarded and thrown into landfills, especially because technology is bound to become
cheaper, and this will lead to more people owning personal 3D printers. Another worrying aspect is the fact that guns and other weapons can be 3D
printed with ease, though it would take quite a long time. Already some people own their own 3D printer, and the numbers are sure to rise in the
following decades. It will be quite difficult to keep tabs on the printers, causing a dangerous issue. Of course, if the trouble increases, it is always
possible for the government to set a law stating that only individuals with a license can own 3D printers. The difficulties don't end there, though.
Consider this dilemma. If every single human in the world owned a personal 3D printer and scanner, what would happen to businesses? If there was
a product someone took interest in, they could simply print it at home without spending any money! In archaeology, complications arise as well. In
order to print larger artifacts, you need a substantially larger 3D printer. If you were to replicate a house, a relatively sizable printer would be
required, along with a large stock of plastic and a printer larger than a house. This also means that the cost of

3d Printing Has A Huge Future
3D Printing
One Emerging Technology field that is soon to change the game is 3D Printing. Though 3D Printers have been around since the 1980's, it hasn't been
widely accessible or used until now. This is due to the advances in technology, which allow 3D Printers to be created in a smaller form factor and
used at a much cheaper price. Throughout this paper, I will further go through more reason why I believe 3D printing has a huge future. This paper's
topics are broken up into various paragraphs, which will discuss technology specifications, business value, examples of usage, competitive value, and
my analysis and perspective of 3D Printing technology.
Technology Specifications. As stated in the previous paragraph, the earliest known 3D Printers have been around since the 1980's. In 1984, advances
made on the inkjet concept of printing transmuted into printing with materials. The concept is closely related to the inkjet concept but during the early
stages of 3D printing, manufactures could not produce the necessary equipment at a cheap enough price in order for the 3D printing phenomena to lift
off. If you fast–forward 20 years you will see that technology has made a huge leap. This leap allowed for the necessary advances of the 3D Printing
industry that allowed for cheaper printer production cost. The following is a brief description of how 3D Printers work. Typical 3D Printers are
composed of about 5 different parts: laser source, elevator, vat, layered part, and

end of the 1950s, radios became more accessible. In 1955, approximately 97% of Australian homes owned a radio set. In the evenings families would
gather together to listen to many programs on the radio. The radio in this time consisted of many shows including music, drama, entertainment and quiz

The introduction of television was greeted with great excitement by most Australians in the 1950s, but some of society was opposed against the idea
of televisions. This was because some people believed that television would allow "Australia to become over–run by American culture, thus threatening
the development of the Australian identity." (Wiliam, S, 2016). The amount of American shows that were broadcast in Australia at the time would have
given people these views about Australian culture. "Eventually, many of our British cultural legacies would give way to new American ideals."

High School Career

  • 1. High School Career Throughout my high school career, I've endured history class after history class; however, I am no history buff. My niche happens to fall in the STEM subjects: science, technology, engineering and math. So, my brain prefers to think in terms of numerics––and there I sat––in AP World and US history classes, learning what seemed to me as silly, trivial facts about history, until a particular subject grasped my attention: the evolution of technology and the unfathomable thoughts of inventors. From the cotton gin to the typewriter, the camera to the telephone, the programmable computer to the world wide web, the rage of new inventions always explodes across the globe. And as I always tend to look towards the future, the constant curiosity... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Beginning as a miniscule stem cell, an eventual organ can save a life. A major goal of mine is to turn what is inevitable into preventable; stem cells have proven to be an option to prevent unnecessary, sorrowful events. A step further, the way to benefit people in rare circumstances is through personalised treatment and care that can only be made possible with 3D printing. Bertalan MeskГі describes the miracle that saved Kaiba Gionfriddo from death after being born prematurely...bioprinting happened to be the miracle. After his caretakers bioprinted a device that instantly helped him breathe, Kaiba could be taken off a ventilator and breathe through an entire day (it was abnormal for him to make it an entire day without being unable to breathe.) "This case is considered a prime example of how customized 3D printing is transforming healthcare as we know it," according to MeskГі. Seven years ago, my grandfather passed away from oral cancer. As a ten year old, I didn't understand what was happening as I stood by the bed of my Pap at the hospice center. Fighting through years of chemotherapy and radiation, trips to Indianapolis for treatment, and living in my house along with my grandmother, my Pap was defeated by cancer on July 24 of 2009. My interest in bioprinting constantly makes me wonder "what if." The major developments with bioprinting tailored treatments started only recently. Now, I know I cannot change ... The Approach: It's Inspiration and Evolution The approach I evolved had its origins in three sources or experiences: A 2011 article from MIT Technology Review, "Four Principles for Crafting Your Innovation Strategy" (by Paul B. Carroll and Chunka Mui), Participation in a 2011 "Agile Vancouver" seminar, including an early presentation by Ash Maurya on his evolving "Lean Canvas" for the Lean Startupв„ў approach (Lean Startup is a trademark of Eric Ries, Ash Maury published "Running Lean"), and Personal observations from participating in Masie Center events and my work as a Masie Fellow. The model is then 'cut' into layers, along these lines changing over the plan into a record decipherable by the 3D printer. Once a 3D demonstrate is planned or just downloaded off of a storehouse like Thingiverse, the record (these for the most part have augmentations, for example, 3MF, STL, OBJ, PLY, and so forth.) must be changed over into something many refer to as G–code. G–code is a numerical control coding utilized for the most part for PC helped producing (both subtractive and added substance fabricating). It is a dialect which advises a machine how to move. Without G–code there would be no chance to get for the PC to impart where to store, cure or sinter a material amid the creation procedure. Projects, for example, Slic3r are required keeping in mind the end goal to change over 3D demonstrate documents into G–code. Once the G–code is made it can be sent to the 3D printer, giving an outline regarding what its next a few thousand moves will comprise of. These means all indicate the total creation of a physical question. There are other coding languages out there and maybe many will in the long run pick up fame, yet until further notice G–code is by a long shot the most critical.2 Then 3D printing is one of the best options for manufacturing due to one reason compared of using ... • 7. Prosthetic 3D Printers One of the solutions that Pro–sthetic Printers developed is a glove functioning as a prosthetic hand with a rechargeable source located in a "watch" compartment. There will be a number pad on the top of the hand, used to control the motions of the fingers. Each joint will have a number assigned to it, as seen in Figures 1 and 2. The numbers can be pressed in specific sequences to trigger specific types of motion along the joints and grips. The grip can then be released by pressing a cancel button on the number pad. Our idea is to make a new version of the Glove One, which is a robotic glove that has the capabilities of a basic cell phone. This model will have a shape similar to the Glove One model and will also have a similar range of motion. It goes without saying that they make powerful floor artwork pieces and that is why they have not been phased out in these modern times. If anything, rugs have gone beyond the traditional, culture based system to a more 21st century kind of process that provides for a quicker production of area rugs in bulk. Despite the growth of the carpet manufacturing industry, traditional weavers continue to reap from their labor intensive venture as the demand for antique rugs soars on a daily basis. You can also use runners instead on each side of the bed to create the same effect. 2.Color Consider how various colors can work with existing tones of the floor, walls, or ceiling if you do not have furniture in the room. However, if a room is already furnished, pick a rug that is neutral in color or one that is secondary to the dominant color in the room, so that it blends well with the rest of the dГ©cor. Deep, rich colors create intimacy while lighter colors seemingly enlarge the space. On the other hand, area rugs can also act as a room's focal point to provide the main color source for furnishings in the room. 3.Patterns Pattern is closely tied to color, therefore choose area rugs that match well with the colors and patterns in the room. If your walls or furniture are full of patterns then a solid rug can balance out the dГ©cor to make it more appealing to the eye. However, if the main color in the room is solid, then a bright patterned area rug is an excellent choice for livening up the space. 4.Size Look for rugs that leave an equal space all around the room. A rule of thumb for average–sized rooms is a 10–20 inch space of bare floor between the rug's edges and the surrounding walls. Hall rugs should at least have six inches of floor showing on both sides. While in larger ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Designing Projects For The Public Joseph Wiley English IV Mrs. Daly 18 November, 2016 Designing Projects for the Public Thousands people all over the world share their ideas to create future projects and that project is in art and animation. It is really wise to start from the very beginning. The process of creating or even preparing for a big project takes time. In order to make a character or idea come to life one needs the right tools. This is where the skills in art come in, basically the fun part. Everyone would like to see their ideas come to life and sharing it with the public. Soon this will lead any person to create a project that involves gaming and animated television shows. Before starting a project there are a few things a person may need. A character may be the important thing but there are other factors that are far more important. What would the character do or what environment would it be placed in? The Developer also has to think about the storyboard which involves writing. Every project needs to start with a story (How a Game pg.1). A person can make up their own story and can also receive help from anyone assisting in the project. Everyone may be inspired by something they have seen which gives them many ideas for a good story. it is important for the team to come up with a decision so they can know what fits. Once it is decided the team will start to work on the storyboard (How a Game pg.2). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. 3d Printing Is Changing The World 3D printing is changing the world we live in today. Business Insider calls 3D printing "The Next Industrial Revolution" (Rega). Imagine having the capability of producing any product you want at your fingertips within minutes; it is now possible because of 3D printing. Simply put, 3D printing is the process of creating real objects by "printing" chosen substances layer by layer until the desired product is made, therefore 3D printing is sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing. There are endless possibilities with 3D printing from the medical field, to manufacturing, automobiles, to airplanes, and also personal use. 3D printed objects are going to be an integrated part of everyday life. Contrary to what you may think, 3D printing is not new. Its roots stem from inkjet printer concepts. However, instead of printing with ink, it prints with material. The concept of 3D printing has been around for about 30 years. It inventor Chuck Hull discovered it in 1983. One day, Hull became frustrated at how long it would take for small plastic parts that he needed for his job to be manufactured and decided to fix this problem. At the time he was working for a business that made plastic veneers for tables and other furniture items. They would put this liquid like substance on objects and then dry it using Ultra Violet (UV) light. In labs around the world, like the one at Organovo, scientists have begun to print prototype body parts including heart valves, ears, artificial bone, joints, menisci, vascular tubes, and skin grafts, ("Bioprinting"). The innovation of this technology lies in the fact that it generates actual living human cells, allowing for the reproduction of organs and tissue that "mimic the form and function of native tissues in the body" ("Bioprinting"). • 29. General Electric Ge 90xe Engines New Technology Commercial Aviation General Electric GE –90XE Engines In March 2015, GE Aviation was granted the first FAA certification for a 3–D printed part to be installed in a jet engine. According to GE Aviation, the part is a T25 housing for a compressor inlet temperature sensor and will be retrofitted on over 400 of its GE90–94B engines. The part was designed using a CAD program and a rapid prototype was made of metal alloy using an SLS process. The final design was approved, the prototype was printed and tested, and the part was certified by the FAA in a 6–month period. Normally, this process would take several years with traditional manufacturing methods. What is unique about this part is that it is printed as one integral piece that contains internal cooling structures, making it less likely to coke (build up carbon during use) and overheat. According to GE Aviation, it is also 25% lighter and 5 times more durable than the previous compressor inlet temperature sensor that it is replacing. It is printed as one solid piece while the old part is made of 18 pieces fitted together (Radis, 2015). What really makes AM technology appealing to manufacturers like GE Aviation is the ability to design parts without being limited by traditional manufacturing methods. The CAD computer allows the engineers to design with intent and embed cooling structures or lubrication joints into a part; which was not previously feasible with traditional manufacturing. Advanced Projects Research Paper Nick McDonald 12/14/16 Technology is everywhere, integrated into almost everything we do. Ranging from things as small as hearing aids or headphones to cash registers and up to the size of satellites and even bigger, the possibilities are endless. If we lost technology at this point in time it would effectively put us back to the Stone Age. We would not know what to do or where to begin. We have become so dependent on technology as a whole that you now fall into two main categories. One you accept technology and learn how to use it or two it becomes the bane of your existence. One of the major problems I see with technology becoming so integrated in our life's is that everyday things such as paying your bills or just checking the weather or even just talking to your friends all come from grabbing your phone out of your pocket. People are losing the ability to talk face to face and have any face to face interactions. Instead we feel safe behind our digital walls and spout our problems and thoughts online for the world to see. And then we get upset when someone is India makes fun of one of the video's we posted to YouTube. • 31. 3d Printing In Archaeology Will 3D printing revolutionize our understanding of archaeology? 3D printing is a captivating advancement of technology that has profuse uses. Different from all the previous manufacturing methods, 3D printing generates a product in an additive mode to form an intricate three dimensional object, and therefore has the ability to produce the most complicated irregular object. This unique characteristic deems it highly impactful for archaeology, where the structures of historical human forms and the tools they used are often very complicated and unique, and there are currently no simple means to reproduce and study them. Clearly, 3D printing and scanning has many useful benefits to archaeology, and there is definitely room for improvement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First of all, plastic is the main material in most printers, and this material biodegrades EXTREMELY slowly: 450 to 1,000 years! This would create a serious environmental problem if objects were discarded and thrown into landfills, especially because technology is bound to become cheaper, and this will lead to more people owning personal 3D printers. Another worrying aspect is the fact that guns and other weapons can be 3D printed with ease, though it would take quite a long time. Already some people own their own 3D printer, and the numbers are sure to rise in the following decades. It will be quite difficult to keep tabs on the printers, causing a dangerous issue. Of course, if the trouble increases, it is always possible for the government to set a law stating that only individuals with a license can own 3D printers. The difficulties don't end there, though. Consider this dilemma. If every single human in the world owned a personal 3D printer and scanner, what would happen to businesses? If there was a product someone took interest in, they could simply print it at home without spending any money! In archaeology, complications arise as well. In order to print larger artifacts, you need a substantially larger 3D printer. If you were to replicate a house, a relatively sizable printer would be required, along with a large stock of plastic and a printer larger than a house. This also means that the cost of ... Though 3D Printers have been around since the 1980's, it hasn't been widely accessible or used until now. This is due to the advances in technology, which allow 3D Printers to be created in a smaller form factor and used at a much cheaper price. Throughout this paper, I will further go through more reason why I believe 3D printing has a huge future. This paper's topics are broken up into various paragraphs, which will discuss technology specifications, business value, examples of usage, competitive value, and my analysis and perspective of 3D Printing technology. Technology Specifications. As stated in the previous paragraph, the earliest known 3D Printers have been around since the 1980's. In 1984, advances made on the inkjet concept of printing transmuted into printing with materials. The concept is closely related to the inkjet concept but during the early stages of 3D printing, manufactures could not produce the necessary equipment at a cheap enough price in order for the 3D printing phenomena to lift off. If you fast–forward 20 years you will see that technology has made a huge leap. This leap allowed for the necessary advances of the 3D Printing industry that allowed for cheaper printer production cost. The following is a brief description of how 3D Printers work.
