Example Of A Hero
Everyone has someone they look up to as a hero. It may be parents, grandparents, a friend, or even a fictional character. There is a lot of things that
make a person a hero and it doesn't necessarily mean someone who wears a cape. A hero is a person who is not afraid to step in and do the right
thing, regardless of the situation. Heroes are usually centered around the idea of having a positive impact on others. Being a hero isn't always doing
something so big and great, but mostly just doing what's right because it's the right thing to do and because it makes life better for others. A great
example of a hero would be Spiderman because he helps protect people from crime and danger, he shows that he is very caring, and shows lots of
courage. He is an example of what anyone would describe as a great hero. Spiderman is a great example of a hero because he could be doing
something else, anything really, but he chooses to help fight crime in order to save the city because he believes with the powers he has, it's his
duty to help protect the people from the danger that is happening around. He could be studying or working, or pretty much just leading a normal
and calm life, using his powers as a little to make things easier. But he as a person decides to help fight crime and protect the people in his city
because he thinks it's the right thing to do. When really, it's the police who should be doing this kind of stuff. After all, they're specifically trained
and equipped to do so. And still, he believes it's his duty to do this because of his powers. He isn't getting paid to do this. He could just quit whenever
he wants. It isn't a job. No–one could blame him for doing it. But he goes on. He sticks to his duty, no matter what the situation. He sticks to his
morals and what he believes in, even when people try to destroy him. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose, and yet he still does it. He's a
hero because he chose to sacrifice himself for the better and safety of others. Another example of why Spiderman is considered a great example of a
hero is because he shows that he is a very caring person. When it comes to being a hero it's not all about solving crimes and saving lives. It's also
about helping

Essay about Apple Case Study
Apple Computer Introduction: Apple Computer began it's existence on April Fools Day in 1976 when two young men decide to sell a computer that
one of the men designed. Steve Wozniak (Woz) had designed a personal computer that he and Steven Jobs built together. Woz had not even considered
that idea of anyone wanting to buy it, however Jobs had a vision to introduce it to the public for sale. Woz and Jobs started the Apple Company in Jobs
garage and from there it has blossomed into a billion dollar company. "Apple Computer is committed to bringing the best personal computing
experience to students, educators, creative professionals and consumers around the world through its innovative hardware, software and Internet
offerings"(Apple).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His utter dedication to discovery and excellence has created a culture that has made Apple a symbol of innovation"(Morris). The article goes on to
talk about the passion that these employees have for their jobs. "Collaboration is key. So is a degree of perfectionism. Apple hires people who are
never satisfied. A designer has to be a borderline fanatic..."(Morris). Brand recognition also plays a big role in the success of Apple. Apple is one of
the most established and healthy IT brands in the World, and has a very loyal set of enthusiastic customers that favor the brand. Apple recently
won the top recognition for technology and was also named the grand prizewinner in the American Brand Excellence Awards. "The criteria used
to select the American Brand Excellence Award winners include "easy to do business with," "industry leader," "forward thinking," "for growing
companies," "behaves ethically," "growing in popularity" and "has a good price for what you get." More than 200 business brands were rated in the
nationwide study"(bizjournals.com). Apple has a very good support system for customer service. Support is only as far away as a click of a mouse on
your computer. If you go to the Apple website there are all kind of support recourses to help you fix your problem. Locally, if you are a consumer that
likes face–to–face service, Apple has retail stores that offer a genius bar to get hands on technical

Essay about Sex Pistols and Censorship
Sex Pistols and Censorship
Punks have always been known for pushing the envelope, but the Sex Pistols pushed it farther than anyone to date in the genre of punk music. The
Sex Pistols boisterous lyrics and edgy appearance led for them to be heavily censored by the radio and print media and even banned in many places,
Britain and abroad.
They were like nothing seen or heard before. Their torn clothes and spiked hair sent a visual message that they did not care what others thought. The
band was actually put together by Malcolm McLaren, who used the band as an advertisement for his fetish clothing store. Their chains, tight leather,
and torn clothes have since been associated with punk.
The Sex Pistols' first single, "Anarchy in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The band has to tour under various names such as S.P.O.T.S. (The Sex Pistols On Tour Secretly), because they are banned by many national
governments. Their performances were crazy and lengendary. BassistSid Vicious helped the band gain notoriety with his insane performances. "One
night nobody was payin' any attention to me, so I thought I'd commit suicide," Vicious said. "So I went in the bathroom broke a glass and slashed my
chest with it. It's a really good way to get attention. I'm going to do it again –– particularly since it doesn't work. They all said I didn't cut myself
enough to be realistic and ignored me." He laughed, then added "You better not make a fool of me in this article."
After being dropped by E.M.I. for their "disgraceful.... agressive...behavior," the band quickly resigned to A&M Records, who subsequently
dropped them six days later by executives who were worried about the band's message. The only label that would sign them was the hippie label
Virgin. The Pistols released the single "God Save the Queen" under Virgin in May of 1977, only to have it banned soon thereafter by BBC Radio.
Virgin managed to get Boots's, Woolworth, and W.H. Smith stores lift their ban and agree to stock the band's new single "Pretty Vacant"/"No Fun."

A Leadership Position At The Accounting Department
In my organization, I am a supervisor over the accounting department, therefore I am in a leadership position so I went ahead and took the report
card based upon my own reflection. On the report card, I scored an 87 as a my competence as a leader. The evaluation stated that I had solid
footing and that I understand the basic principles of an effective leader (Manning & Curtis, 2008). In the evaluation it stated that as a leader that
under my directions the staff's work can be expected to be high. Two things I take pride it is my work and my word. While I am at work I strive to
set an example by being there usually the first one at work and the last one to leave, and in between work as hard as I can. I think what pushes me
for this dedication is how I was raised, but also the understanding that being a state organization it is the citizens of the community 's tax dollars that
is the main reason we have a job, so we owe it to them not to make a waste of their hard earn money.
On question D, dealing with employee 's knowing whether or not they do a good job or need to improve, I scored myself a 3 (Manning & Curtis, 2008).
I try to always look for ways to help education and explain things to my staff, but at times I find myself correcting the mistake myself. The
realization that people like to be told when they do things good is a good encouragement that will help boost the employee's morale. I need to keep

Analysis Of The Poem ' The ' Of The Yellow Mocker Woke '
When the call of the Yellow Mocker woke her, Charity raised up to look out the window– perched on a limb in the tree near the window, the
mockingbird set, singing his bothersome tune and staring in at her. Looking over to where Henry lay sleeping beside her on the bed, she longed to
cuddle up beside him and shut the outside world away, but the mocker's beckoning call stirred her to action. For months, she had dreaded this day
coming; no mother should ever have to watch their child die. Rising slowly, she did not know if she had the strength to face what she knew she must.
Listening with her soul's ears, she heard him... Aaron's calls for her, reached through the night and across the miles; she could not ignore the powerful

Spider-Man Is A Favourite Hero
The World's Favourite Webslinger.
Everyone has once wanted to be a superhero. Whether you grew out of it to play with basketballs and Barbie dolls or race cars; or if you still hope that
one day you'll miraculously be able to fly and lift things three times your size–that dream was still there. As kids, being able to save people and the
world seems unlikely, yet because of figures that we had to look up to, we believed that nothing was really impossible. Spider–Man is one of these said
figures. Spider–Man was created by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee for Marvel comics in the sixties, but if you couldn't already tell by the countless reboots,
Peter Parker's Spider–Man is still one of Marvel's most popular superheroes to date. Peter Parker is a fifteen year–old, who's just like anyone else. It
just so happens that he got bit by a radioactive spider one day and his life changed immensely. He's incredibly smart and inventive, but when it all
comes down to it: he's just a normal teenager who's struggling to find himself, let alone strategize how to defeat bad guys in his spare time when he
doesn't have to worry about homework. Spider–Man has been a superhero that has transcended through time as the underdog that resonates with
people, providing those with the hope that anyone can be a hero and help out the little guy.
Though he was created in 1962, Spider–Man seems to never grow old or become outdated. He naturally wants to help people, to be someone who helps

Anthem by Ayn Rand: Where Do Children in Totalitarian...
Where do children in totalitarian states live? Right from birth, children are taken from their parents and live in places controlled by the state. They
never meet their parents and the state takes over teaching the children everything they think is important for their lives. In Ayn Rand's Anthem,
children never live with their parents and never know who they are. Right from birth, they are taken to the House of Infants and from there they live
in homes their entire life. Dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement in these sorts of societies. In totalitarian societies, dictatorial leaders
force children to live apart from their families to gain complete control of their lives without any outside influences. Leaders in totalitarian societies
find it easier to prevent children from developing certain characteristics that they could find potentially dangerous. In the novel, two adults go to the
Palace of Mating and nine months later, a child arrives and is directly sent to the House of Infants. This living arrangement limits the opportunity of
the children to develop characteristics that differentiate them between their brothers. In every house that Equality has lived in, each house has had the
same interior. At the end of the day, Equality and his brothers go to bed and sleep until the bell rings in the house where "the sleeping walls are white
and clean and bare of all things" (Rand 28). The leaders keep the houses plain to prevent their people

Lacking data, managers often found themselves making business decisions about how many products to make, how much material to order, or how
many employees to hire based on intuition or gut feelings. In the information age, successful managers compile, analyse, and comprehend massive
amounts of data daily, which helps them make more successful business decisions. Examples include: Sales date, Quantity sold, Cost, Sales price, Total
profit, Shipping address, Customer address, Wireless type, Memory amount, Colour. Information is data converted into a meaningful and useful
context. Having the right information at the right moment in time can be worth a fortune. Having the wrong information at the right moment; or the
right information at the wrong moment can be disastrous. The truth about information is that its value is only as good as the people who use it. People
using the same information can make different decisions depending on how they interpret or analyse the information. Thus information has value only
insofar as the people using it do as well. Business intelligence (BI) is information collected from multiple sources such as suppliers, customers,
competitors, partners, and industries that analyses patterns, trends, and relationships for strategic decision making. BI manipulates multiple variables

The author of "The Birth of Spider–Man", Max Bruno, and the author of "Stan Lee and Spider–Man", Simmi Patel, both present their information
about Spider Man differently and similarly through their purposes, points of views, and facts chosen.
First, the two authors both convey their purposes similarly. Both authors write information about Spider Man's creation. The author Simmi Patel writes
about how Stan Lee was able to get his idea about Spider Man across successfully after many failures. The author Max Bruno also writes about Spider

turned into the modern Spider Man. Bruno also writes about how two other comic book authors were skeptical of who created Spider Man and each
character in the franchise. On the other hand, Simmi patel only writes about the basics. Patel writes about how Spider Man was created in the 1960's.
Patel does not write about how Spider Man is in the future, or about any other authors in the comic book industry.
Both authors have different points of view. Simmi Patel is only generalizing Spider man's creation. Patel does not write further on how Spider Man

Origins of the Apple Computer Company Essay
Did you know that the Apple computer started in someone's garage? Many people do not know how it all started. Today, Apple Computer
Incorporated, formerly known as Apple Computer Company, dominates the technological industry with Mac, iPod, and iPhone sales. Apple had its best
ever quarterly revenue of $1.58 billion dollars in 2008 ("Best Quarterly Revenue" n.pag.). The brilliant minds of Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs led to
the inventions of the Apple I and Apple II computers, which revolutionized the computer industry of the 1970s and 1980s.
It all started with Steve Wozniak, the kind of person who liked to tell jokes and pull pranks at the schools he attended. During high school, he decided
he wanted to become an engineer. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Steve "programmed, designed, and tested diagnostics that went to various input and output devices, like printers" (Kendall 17). During his time
there, he shared his ideas about computer projects with other workers. He acquired computer chips from these workers that he would not have
been able to get otherwise. Telnet was not successful at selling its computer, so it closed in 1970 (Kendall 17). However, his love and dedication
towards computers would lead to the development of the first Apple computer. In 1971, Steve and his friend Bill Hernandez designed a pretty
good computer and his mother was impressed. She contacted a local newspaper company to do a report on it. They were very excited to explain
the operation and specs to the reporter, but that is not how it happened. When the reporter came to see the computer, they started the computer up
and the blinking lights came on. After that, someone stepped on the power cord, which caused the computer to start smoking, and then stopped
working. The reporter quickly left and only wrote a small article on their computer (Kendall 18). Steve decided it was time to choose a school based
on its engineering program. He chose to go to the University of California at Berkeley, because it was one of the best (Kendall 19). This is where he
met the most important friend, Steve Jobs. He was "five years younger than Wozniak and still attending Homestead High School" (Kendall 20). They

`` Daredevil : Born Again By Frank Miller And The Amazing...
"And the story ends with none of this having been changed," Anthony M. states in his article Retro Review: "Daredevil: Born Again" published back
in March 2016. Many comic readers can reflect with this statement due to the simple fact that many comic books never change its concept. Comic
books usually stay consistent now–a–days. Their is a superhero, a super–villain, something in distress, and a semi–violet story line. With time, things
evolve and change to adapt to new cultures, ideas, and eras. Although, this consistency had to start somewhere. Comic book fans can argue that many
different comics are a huge influence on todays comics. There are two comics in particular that really play to this equation. The issues presented in

Long story short, Karen sells the true identity of Daredevil to the Kingpin, which results in the Kingpin wanting to eradicating anything revolving
around the life of Matt Murdock for turning him in multiple times to authorities. Some of the themes a reader can find in this collection are religion,
alienation, love, discovery, and of course betrayal. What really got attention for this comic was the theme of religion. In the comic there is an entire
section where Matt is rescued by catholic nuns and taken care of. Sister Maggie is preying to God hoping that Matt will be safe and okay in the
end(Daredevil: Born Again page 97). This theme is really important to the entire story as it builds the discovery of Matt and his character throughout
the series. Ironic that Daredevil takes on the name with a demonic tone yet follows the light of God. The Amazing Spider–Man: Death of Stacys is a
series that was a game changer for any comic book series after this one. Stan Lee and his partners really pushed the bar when it comes to this series.
Keep in mind, the story line is a basic hero fighting villain story, with a love interest, and motives for the hero to grow. Then what is it that really
pushes the story in The Amazing Spider–Man: Death of Stacys? Peter Parker is an average kid who happens to have the luck and be Spider–Man, he

The conflict of Eisner and Jobs at first was the perceived stage due to the negative comments Eisner made at congressional hearings; Jobs took the
comments personally and so was very emotional about the words.
As the feud continued and escalated, Jobs took the perceived stage to the last stage of conflict–manifest. As the feud escalated, Jobs threatened to not
renew the Disney–Pixar relationship after the release of Cars in 2006 if Eisner was still CEO of Disney. Thus, Jobs acted upon the conflict with this

3) Which of the following best describes Michael Eisner's and Bob Iger's approaches to resolving conflict: dominating, problem solving, avoiding, or

Certainly Eisner's approach to resolving conflict would fall into the dominating category; dominating approach is the person/group's maximum focus

The Importance Of Listening And Recommend Best Practices
Evaluate the Importance of Listening to Recommend Best Practices I.What is a Leader: You may have heard the question of where do leaders come
from. The answer to this question is perhaps vague and it seem to be a more difficult question than most may think. From a topic of vagueness comes
a variety of answers. However, the best thing about it, all the answers could possibly be correct. Leaders are perhaps uncovered at many different
levels and situations (Simmons, 2011). However, leaders in many organizations lead when forced into the spotlight and find out they are not equipped
to function effectively. Becoming a leader can be as simple as leading a small team, a group or a community organization (Jennings, 2012). The truth of

Scanlans difficulty to be effective was not because he did not possess the ability to listen but he allowed bias of a situation to selectively, not hear
what his peers were trying to convey. Scanlan (2011) goes on to say that, people are confused about listening most of the time. Moreover, the
confusion prevents the focus and distorts the direction as well as vision. In today's business, environments where individuals are more concerned with
the level of multitasking and listening becomes necessary only when someone requests. However, one does not have to be a manager of the
organization to understand the importance of listening. Perhaps even in a family one could attest that listening is perhaps one of the most difficult

The Objective Enforcer: Any RandВґs Philosophy
Ayn Rand did not nutter her cats because she believed that cats could not change nature to how they wanted or to their wishes. Rand was a
philosopher who created objectivism. Objectivism consisted of knowing only good and bad, no action is in between. Logic was what should
determine one's actions and values and not let emotions effect decision making. Her philosophy was created in the early 1950s and later influenced a
comic book artist by the name of Steve Ditko. Ditko created two comic books portraying Ayn Rand's philosophy, Mr. A and The Question. Alan Moore
grew up reading Ditko's work and created a comic of his own. Rorschach in Watchmen embodies what objectivism is while being illustrated as
realistically as possible. Rorschach reflects Ayn Rand's philosophy by living his life using logical reasoning as well as viewing the world
metaphorically in black and white as seen through Steve Ditko's work. Ayn Rand believed that one should have a morality based on logic not on faith
and Rorschach's morality is based upon what he sees, he believes in what is tangible. Morality should not be based on one's emotions or mystic
beliefs. "A morality not based on reason, morality which can be proven through logic" (TruthTube1111). Reason should be the base of the morality that
is set. Throughout the comic Watchmen, Rorschach's morality is set on what he thinks is logical. "For my own part, regret nothing. Have lived life,
free from compromise...and step into the shadow now without

Similarities Between Iron Man And Spider-Man
To start, the superheroes, Iron Man and Spider–Man, have two very contrasting origin stories. In Iron Man, Tony Stark first becomes Iron Man as a
way to escape captivity from the Ten Ring terrorists. After being injured from a bomb in Afghanistan, Stark is taken hostage with pieces of shrapnel in
his chest (Iron Man). Ho Yinsen, another captive, manages to keep Stark alive by imbedding an electromagnet, which prevents the shrapnel from
reaching his heart, into his chest and attaching it to a car battery (Iron Man). Stark constructs a small version of an arc reactor that is able to power his
electromagnet, which also powers the super suit that he designs as a way to free Ho Yinsen and himself from the terrorist group (Iron Man). Seeing that

Both superheroes are very intelligent, but in two contrasting manners. Stark, born a child prodigy who built a circuit board when he was four years
old, an engine at age six, and "graduated summa cum laude from MIT" when he was seventeen, has almost a genius level of intelligence (Iron Man).
Parker, still in high school, is a member of the academic team, as well as considered a "nerd" by the shirts he wears (Spider–Man: Homecoming). What
they both have in common is that they are innovative. Stark creates his original suit out of the materials he has in captivity (Iron Man). He can create
almost anything he desires, as well as come up with clever solutions on–the–spot to outwit the villains. Parker tinkers and builds things. He creates his
own Spider–Man suit, complete with goggles and web shooters, as well as the web fluid that he uses (Spider–Man: Homecoming). He is able to think
on–the–spot about ways to problem–solve, such as leaping around the police choppers to break the window in the Washington Monument scene, as
well as using his webs to reconnect and stabilize the Staten Island Ferry in the Ferry scene (Spider–Man: Homecoming). The ways that these
superheroes can use their intelligence to innovate help them become a stronger superhero, so they can use their powers for

The Billionaire Genius : The Billionaire Genius
The Billionaire Genius – Tony Stark
To be a hero one must always be righteous so the greater good of mankind is achieved. The hero, Tony Stark also known as Iron Man, is a genius,
billionaire, philanthropist. Tony Stark has changed over the years to fit the current theme of an era. Iron Man is Tony Stark like Bruce Wayne is to
Batman. Iron Man is one of Marvel's iconic superheroes because of his moral description, his parallelism to an American figure and, the present day
Tony Stark connection to his suit like an average man.
Tony Stark's morality has changed over the course of his life by having him die a symbolic death and being reborn finding a new purpose in his
life. At first, he was characterized as a man who did not care who was winning at war; he sold weapons and wanted to make profits. (pg 5) For an
example in the article "The Comic Book as Symbolic Environment: The Case of Iron Man," the author asserts that "Armor to operate properly, Stark
made another detrimental sacrifice: his humanity. Pg 5–6 " Tony connected himself through a machine that Tony himself stated, "Can the thing I have
created survive? Pg 5–6" he asks himself "The thing which is less than human... yet, far more than merely human! Pg 5–6" Tony questions himself if
the suit was a good idea for him to use because at first he was blood thirsty by being an arms dealer to the highest bidder for money. He realizes how
something that's not even human can make a better world. Tony decides to change his

Apple Iphone: Life in the Technology Lane
Apple iPhone: Life in the Technology Lane
1.Apple CEO Steve Jobs alluded to the price a customer may have to pay to own an iPhone when he said that the steep and sudden price change was
simply part of "life in the technology lane." What did he mean? Beyond the simple exchange of money, what else might the price of such a product
include?
Life in the technology lane can be defined according to Steve Jobs in the Apple website, as a "bumpy road". This road will always be facing change,
innovation, and improvement. There will always be early adopters who buy a product before a cutoff date and miss the new plus, new price, or new
adaptation made to the product. For instance, if you are of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Apple was engaging in price skimming. But because demand is elastic in the technology market, achieving a bigger market share would imply having
lower prices, which will significantly cause changes in the quantity demanded. Once the sales at $599 began to slow down and holiday season started
approaching, Apple realized that they had to lower the price on the iPhone. As Jobs stated, he was "willing to make less money to get more iPhones out
there". This price drop would be compensated with the increase in the quantity demanded. This took place, right after having the customers pay the
higher price and the demand had started decreasing since its launching date.
3.Discuss how the availability of substitutes affects elasticity of demand for Apple products such as the iPhone.
Elasticity in the demand can be defined as how the consumers respond to a change in the price of an object. A substitute is a good that can be used in
exchange of another good. The iPhone entered the cell phone market. This market has multiple brands, types, and pluses in the cell phones that make
them adapt to the customer's needs. There is a phone waiting for any type of consumer, with any kind of purchasing power, or any kind of need.
Because the iPhone was incurring into this market filled with substitutes, it was going to face an elastic demand. Although the

Wayne's relationship with Apple ended a year later due to financial reasons. With minimal funds, Jobs and Wozniak needed an investor to continue

followed Apple's lead with their version of a small computer. The market for personal computers had been primarily in the business industry. Apple
Computer sales netted $50 million by the last quarter of 1979 (Gitman & McDaniel, 2009) and Apple soon became the personal computer of choice for

Apple's first major step in adapting the personal computer to the desires of corporate America. In ten years, Apple had grown from two employees

company in the same market, like Microsoft, instead they stepped out of the norm. Everything is created in house and while some products work
with others like iPods and PC, they will work best with apple products. This creates customer loyalties: if someone buys a Mac is most likely going

All throughout the early 21st century the iPod has been the sought after mp3 product. Everybody had to have one, and if you did, you were pretty
cool. In 2004 Apple joined up with U2 to help promote their new 20 gig ipod release. This was a great example of apple's new marketing plan, going
for the entertainment and media side of the market.
Another side of Apple that really made the music industry happy was then they started to sell songs on itunes for $1 a song. Music Pirating was a huge
issue throughout the early 21st century and Apple was on the for front of helping fix that. In 2007 Apple introduced theiPhone and Apple TV, two
revolutionary products that is changing Television as well as the cell phone market as we know it.
Apple TV is setting a new standard for the viewing of media, it gives the consumer the capability to wirelessly connect their computer to their
television to stream virtually any video, song or website on the internet through their TV. This is the new are of wave of media technology allowing
people to watch whatever they want whenever they want without any regular scheduled programming. This is also a major bonus for television
marketers since they are able to tell exactly how many views each show or video is being watched.

Apple became a well diverse company with the leadership of Jobs they "had 15 product lines which were slashed down to 4 categories– desktop and

industries but they tried to depict themselves as "Worlds "greenest lineup of notebooks" that was energy efficient and used recyclable materials" (Pg 4)
Rivalry
The rivalry in this industry is high with the four top Pc vendors– Hewlett– Packard, Dell, Lenovo, and Acer accounted for 53.6 percent of worldwide
shipments. (Pg 5) Even though it was Apple who founded the first personal computer it was IBM that brought them into the conventional lives of
society. Within this time period there were a lot of mergers and acquisitions making rivalry amongst firms even greater as every time this occurred
these merged companies would have more market share and more capital to help their business.

Monsters are often thought of as green, abnormally large and scary. They are believed to hide in dark shadows and forgotten street corners. Monsters

In our morally bankrupt society monsters exist in the realist scariest form. As we step into adulthood and take our heads out of the comic books that

Diversity in products and their prices helps Apple remain an inelastic company, regarding their demand. If a price rises for one of their products,
there is sure to be another product that moves into that previous product's price range that is still comparable in design and quality. There will
always be people to buy the more expensive items not only because of Apple's positive brand recognition and loyalty, but because Apple consistently
produces quality and innovative products; including, if Apple finds a defect or fault, they fix the problem for free or replace the product altogether.
With Apple being so far ahead of their competition, the only problem one can foresee in Apple's future is how long they can sustain such innovation
before they plateau. Apple does a phenomenal job at releasing their innovative products before their competition, but if their innovation cannot hold
steady, this may lead to changes in demand for their products considerably. This can be seen with their release of the iPhone, the first successful
touch screen cellular phone. Although people swarmed to the iPhone when it was first released because of its advanced technology, as the years have

At the end, we assume that they almost signed a "complete contract" which should avoid any kind of hold–up. On the other hand, we have the contract
with MGM. It took about one yeariii for MGM and the Cirque to agree on the terms of a contract for a residential show. Here, the time was clearly too
short to get close to perfect foresight, description and communication in the contract which means that the contract was incomplete. At the end, both
conditions for a hold–up were fulfilled with MGM: Relationship–Specific Investment and incomplete contract. While Cirque du Soleil always insisted
on having the creative force for all productions, MGM Mirage and Disney had very high initial relationship–specific investments by building huge
theaters. However, neither company feared opportunism nor has there been an attempt to vertically integrate Cirque into either company.
Now that we have seen that a hold–up was possible with the Cirque's partner, let's see if we might have such problems within the company (internal
hold–up). Actually, it's possible that the employees hold–up the firm: When they decide to produce a new show, the Cirque has to invest in order to
train the artists and once they are trained, they could ask for a higher salary. We could also argue that the Cirque could hold up the employee because
once he is trained, his knowledge is very specific to only one show and cannot be used by any other circus. At the end, we see that

super strength, uncanny agility, and web–slinging exploits are paled in comparison to what lives in the heart of a hero according to comics.
Superheroes, or supervillains, are not gods who come down from heaven to save or destroy us, though there are exceptions, but are instead the human
spirit uplifted to a point of power. In comics, a hero is someone who does the "right" thing even if it is difficult, because they are, or should, be the
best of us. In Spider–Man, heroism is the responsibility to make the world a better place that motivated by the death of his uncle. Peter Parker wishes
to bring less heartache to the world; he wishes to prevent what happened to him from happening to others. Peter Parker sacrifices nearly everything in
his life in the pursuit of protecting the city but that is not how it began. In the beginning of his career being Spider–Man was a means to an end to gain
respect and pay the bills. For Luke Cage a hero is his new identity built from the ashes of his former life. Heroism is an occupation for Luke Cage to
regain what was taken from him. But does this monetary influence somehow dampen the heroics of Spider–Man and Luke Cage? And if they both are
using their powers to make a better world it begs the question; what does it mean to make the world a better place? What actions are allowed

The Importance Of Comics As A Learning Devices
The idea that comics can be used as a learning device is strange to some, but comics can teach kids many important lessons such as reading
comprehension, how to act social, and how to engage as a reader or writer. As (Josh Elder,) founder of reading with pictures put it there are three Es
when teaching though comics engagement efficiency and effectiveness. These concepts will help us understand why comics are educational, beneficial
and can optimize learning in school and university.
Comics broaden our educational understanding especially in adolescence as they are the most asked to read literature. Comics in adolescence have
been seen as a distraction more of a learning device. As the article "For Improving Early Literacy,Reading Comics' No Child's Play." Points out most
teacher see comics as the students aren't paying attention to the message or the words in the literature, but if that were so couldn't the same be said
for picture books. You have to actively read the words to get a good idea of what's going on in the comics (Scott Mcloud book) Making Comics show
that even the pictures in a comic must be actively interpreted by the reader.
Which brings me to my next point in which comics makes young reader more actively aware of what their reading and the symbolism or the main
theme in it. (A study conducted in, University of Southern Carolina, allowed young boys to engage in comic reading or traditional reading. Students
score did not go down in reading comics rather

Inside Apple
FINANCE IV
INSIDE APPLE ESSAY
Inside apple is a book where the author lets us discover the whole new strategic world of Apple directed first by Steve Jobs. It introduces the
original way Apple manages its company. We learned that the business strategy model Apple is using is completely different from what we learned
in school. We've always learned that a company has to have free flow information contrary to Apple that faces a large secretly managerial structure.
By the time you finish reading the book, you will have a completely different idea of what you thought about apple, and you will probably be afraid of
working for that firm. The author shares with us many interviews he has done to Apple employees and they help you discover how ... Show more

One of the main ideologies the book explains about Steve Jobs is that he created something not with the thought of earning revenues, but to create
history. I do not think I agree with that, because even though a business is created to cover society's needs, the main goal of a company or business
is always to create revenues to its stakeholders. That is one Steve's idea I would not follow if I had to make a decision within my company.
I liked the idea of Steve Jobs repeating things to his employees because it transmits the exact idea he wants them to know. I believe it is a great way
to have everything under your control. At Apple there's never confusion "as to who is responsible for what" because the company owns a great
information flow about the individual responsibilities. He does the same thing with his customers, taking an example from the book, in 2000, when
he launched the new iPod, the person responsible to talk to media used to repeat many times "1,000 songs in your pocket", slogan used to promote the
first generation of iPod's large storage capacity and compact design. The company was known for always repeating what it is important, and in every
interview they had, they always repeated the main idea they wanted the customer to know, in order for him not to be confused with many information
flowing among

Speech to Persuade for Travel Essay
Planning Your Vacation INTRODUCTION Imagine getting away from the monotony of your everyday life. You can lie on the beach sipping a
cool drink miles away from your worries of getting a paper done or helping a customer at work. You can be on top of a mountain overlooking
beautiful lands that are different from your own backyard. Half of the class has taken a vacation less than five times in their lifetimes, but let's face
that most of those probably included those little family vacations to Disneyland. But, all of you said that you planned to travel someday. So, why not
do it sooner than later? One of the reasons for not traveling that many of you put is not having time because of school or work. Also, one of your
major concerns is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1. Since you are more likely to be outdoors, even if you are not hiking, you will be breathing more deeply and oxygenating your blood 2. You will
also probably be more active as you will be involved in more activities and doing more walking than in your normal routine. 3. Lastly, you might
eat better because you will probably eat at more restaurants instead of fast food or the less diverse micro waved leftovers. (TRANSITION: Next, I
will show you how to plan a trip, even for the tightest budgets or time frames) II. There are many ways to get the best deals and deals that fit a
strict schedule. A. Susan Breslow Sardon, a travel guide author, suggests certain months to go on a trip because off seasons provide the cheapest
airfares and hotel rates. 1. January is the best time for New York and Washington DC, even though it will be a bit early to see the cherry blossoms.
2. Ireland is better to go to in February, as is the closer to home, Dallas, TX. 3. March is great for Italy, Spain, and another close one, Los Angeles.
4. April is the best time to sit on the beach in Jamaica. 5. Of course there are more for each month. B. For the best deals that fit strict times, there are
websites that can help you. 1. The one that pops up the most for frequent travelers, and even on Rick Steves website is Travelzoo.com. 2. Also, you
can do your own comparisons with the well advertised ones like, Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, and

Tribute Speech to Steve Jobs
Tribute Speech to Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was like the Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell and the Albert Einstein of our time. He not only innovated personal computing, but
personal media and communication, iTunes which became one of the most popular music and video retailers and Pixar which was one of his side
projects had become one of the greatest animation digital movie creators and software. But all that is a just part of the list of his legacy, because in
the end he still left behind Apple which is world's most valuable company, which is valued at $350 Billion Dollars. WithoutSteve Jobs great mind and
hands in the technologic revolution we would have never had the opportunity to see technology the way we do today and how much of ... Show more

Other innovations included an optical disk drive instead of floppy disks, and a special sound chip to provide the fidelity of a compact disc. Judging
from initial reactions, many critics were convinced that Steve Jobs had brought another revolutionary product to American consumers. Despite the
warm reception, however, the NeXT machine never caught on. It was too costly, had a black–and–white screen, and couldn't be linked to other
computers or run common software. So therefore it failed.
NeXT was not, however, the end of Steve Jobs. (Change Slide) In 1986, Jobs paid filmmaker George Lucas $10 million for a small firm called
Pixar that specialized in computer animation. "Over the next six years Jobs poured another $40 million of his own money into the company. That
film was Toy Story, a huge box office hit. The share price climbed dramatically, and Job's 80 percent stock in Pixar suddenly was worth $1 billion.
(Just a little better than the power balls don't you think). In December of 1996, Apple announced that it was purchasing Next Software for over $400
million. (Change Slide) Jobs returned to Apple as a part–time consultant to CEO Gilbert Amelio. In September of 1997, Jobs was named temporary
CEO of Apple while a replacement for Amelio was found. (Change Slide) Introduced in May 1998, it was Apple's first truly ground–breaking product
since the original Macintosh of 1984. The design innovations for the iMac continued throughout 1998 and 1999 with

  • 2. Example Of A Hero Everyone has someone they look up to as a hero. It may be parents, grandparents, a friend, or even a fictional character. There is a lot of things that make a person a hero and it doesn't necessarily mean someone who wears a cape. A hero is a person who is not afraid to step in and do the right thing, regardless of the situation. Heroes are usually centered around the idea of having a positive impact on others. Being a hero isn't always doing something so big and great, but mostly just doing what's right because it's the right thing to do and because it makes life better for others. A great example of a hero would be Spiderman because he helps protect people from crime and danger, he shows that he is very caring, and shows lots of courage. He is an example of what anyone would describe as a great hero. Spiderman is a great example of a hero because he could be doing something else, anything really, but he chooses to help fight crime in order to save the city because he believes with the powers he has, it's his duty to help protect the people from the danger that is happening around. He could be studying or working, or pretty much just leading a normal and calm life, using his powers as a little to make things easier. Whether you grew out of it to play with basketballs and Barbie dolls or race cars; or if you still hope that one day you'll miraculously be able to fly and lift things three times your size–that dream was still there. As kids, being able to save people and the world seems unlikely, yet because of figures that we had to look up to, we believed that nothing was really impossible. Spider–Man was created by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee for Marvel comics in the sixties, but if you couldn't already tell by the countless reboots, Peter Parker's Spider–Man is still one of Marvel's most popular superheroes to date. Right from birth, children are taken from their parents and live in places controlled by the state. They never meet their parents and the state takes over teaching the children everything they think is important for their lives. In Ayn Rand's Anthem, children never live with their parents and never know who they are. Right from birth, they are taken to the House of Infants and from there they live in homes their entire life. Dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement in these sorts of societies. In totalitarian societies, dictatorial leaders force children to live apart from their families to gain complete control of their lives without any outside influences. Leaders in totalitarian societies find it easier to prevent children from developing certain characteristics that they could find potentially dangerous. In the novel, two adults go to the Palace of Mating and nine months later, a child arrives and is directly sent to the House of Infants. This living arrangement limits the opportunity of the children to develop characteristics that differentiate them between their brothers. In every house that Equality has lived in, each house has had the same interior. Telnet was not successful at selling its computer, so it closed in 1970 (Kendall 17). However, his love and dedication towards computers would lead to the development of the first Apple computer. In 1971, Steve and his friend Bill Hernandez designed a pretty good computer and his mother was impressed. She contacted a local newspaper company to do a report on it. After that, someone stepped on the power cord, which caused the computer to start smoking, and then stopped working. In the comic there is an entire section where Matt is rescued by catholic nuns and taken care of. Logic was what should determine one's actions and values and not let emotions effect decision making. Her philosophy was created in the early 1950s and later influenced a comic book artist by the name of Steve Ditko. Ditko created two comic books portraying Ayn Rand's philosophy, Mr. A and The Question. Alan Moore grew up reading Ditko's work and created a comic of his own. What did he mean? Beyond the simple exchange of money, what else might the price of such a product include? Life in the technology lane can be defined according to Steve Jobs in the Apple website, as a "bumpy road". This road will always be facing change, innovation, and improvement. But because demand is elastic in the technology market, achieving a bigger market share would imply having lower prices, which will significantly cause changes in the quantity demanded. Once the sales at $599 began to slow down and holiday season started approaching, Apple realized that they had to lower the price on the iPhone. As Jobs stated, he was "willing to make less money to get more iPhones out there". This price drop would be compensated with the increase in the quantity demanded. This took place, right after having the customers pay the higher price and the demand had started decreasing since its launching date. 3.Discuss how the availability of substitutes affects elasticity of demand for Apple products such as the iPhone. Elasticity in the demand can be defined as how the consumers respond to a change in the price of an object. A substitute is a good that can be used in exchange of another good. The iPhone entered the cell phone market. This market has multiple brands, types, and pluses in the cell phones that make them adapt to the customer's needs.
