Experience and Key functions:
Total 24 years of experience in Butadiene process, pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation process,
benzene extraction process, Tank farm operation, sphere operation, offsite cooling tower operation
and Flare area operation.
 During this period, I was mainly involved in
 Safety monitoring.
 Review of PFD, P& ID, and equipment datasheet.
 Going through plant specific operating manual and standard operating procedure Manual Loop
punches list preparation & dilution of punch list.
 Pre commissioning & commissioning activities like hydro testing, flushing, leak test, and final box
up purging.
 Plant startup activities like hydrocarbon charging, oil flushing, cold circulation, hot solvent
Circulation etc. Plant normalization, optimization.
 Plant normal shutdown & emergency shutdown. Involved in 1:3 butadiene refrigeration system.
 Loading and unloading of LPG, MIX C4‘s, cryogenic component like ETHYLENE, PROPYLENE
and 1:3BUTADIENE.
 Storage and handling such hazardous petrochemicals products
 Working as Shift Engineer in BBHO- (benzene butadiene hydrogenation offsite) Naphtha Cracker

2.  Worked on various energy conservation schemes using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, HTRI, SULCOL,
and KG Tower. And Microsoft Visio.
 Worked on Plant Economy Improvement Studies by Energy and Material balances, Pressure drop
calculations and schemes for Energy Conservation.
 Worked in CAPEX project and Advanced Process Control (DMC Plus) Implementation in BBHO
(Naphtha Cracker).
Skills Acquired:
 Familiar with basic engineering deliverables such as P&ID, PFD, Design Drawings and
datasheets.

3. Energy Conservation and other Projects:
 Energy Conservation projects carried out using HYSYS Simulation software and improved the
energy efficiency of distillation columns by suggesting optimum reflux rate pertaining to a specific
distillate composition and minimum Reboiler heat input.
 Furnace energy efficiency improvement with day to day data calibration.
 Develop important parameter of IP21 to Excel sheet for better monitoring plant and prepare KPI
Graph.
 Prepare PIPA with help of PHAST software and done consequence analysis of emergency
scenario.
 Involve in COD minimization in OWS (oily Water sever) project and successfully completed
according to management vision under quality circle project. And awarded Gold Trophy by QCFI
Ankleshwar chapter at state level also excellence trophy by Bhili chapter at national level.
 Awarded by RIL for giving contribution in teaching at Learning center.
 Successfully done revamp activity and commission of BTX and Butadiene extraction unit with
safe start up.
 Having good working experience in OFFsite area including Flare Operation.
 Develop dynamic model of propylene – propane splitter to minimize losses of propylene from
bottom.
 Team Member of the Toluene Cap ax project and Butadiene, Benzene, Pyrolysis Gasoline
hydrogenation APC implementation project, also suggested to build up better APC model with
respect of operational point of View.
 Prepare Benzene – toluene Dynamic Model to understand better control of column with strategic
implementation of changes in day to day operation.
 Suggest and successfully implemented to minimize fouling in final column overhead condenser
due to popcorn polymer in Butadiene extraction unit.
 Suggest to minimize solvent losses in wash water in BD unit with help of simulation work carried
out in HYSYS.
 Responsible for safe start up and shut down of the plant during any emergency.

 Involved in Advanced Process Control (Aspen DMC Plus) implementation project in BBHO Plant.
Involved in the identification of Manipulated Variables, Control Variables selection, Tuning, Model
building and implementation.

 Configured Operations Monitoring Professional (OMPro by Honeywell) for BBHO (Naphtha
Cracker) for effective monitoring of Operations.
 Configured Intelatrac Device developed by Invensys for Operator Driven Reliability.
Simulation Projects:
 Prepared dynamic simulations of Ethylene Fractionator, Propylene Fractionator.
 Prepare dynamic simulation BTX Extractive distillation with sulfolane for study solvent ratio and
optimization of benzene losses in raffinate.
 Prepare dynamic simulation of propane propylene splitter (HIDC) mechanical vapor
recompression system and find out break through temp to minimize propylene losses from bottom
of column.
 Steady state simulations developed for columns and heat exchangers.
 Heat exchanger sizing carried out.
