Students’ Union
Report
The students’ union committee will be constituted every year in the beginning of the
academic year. The principal in consultation with IQAC coordinator and senior faculty members
constitutes the committee with one senior teacher as convener and another teacher as member.
Then two students will be nominated as members. After commencement of first year classes two
representatives from each class will be either nominated by concerned class councilor or will be
elected by students to represent their problems. From the class representatives nominated or
elected during the academic year 2015-16 a union is formed with following positions for the
smooth coordination and conduct of academic, administrative and governing activities.

Purpose:
 The main purpose is co-ordination and execution of curricular, co-curricular and extra-
curricular activities.
 To represent the students’ grievances and to solve them amicably.
 To suggest the college authorities ways for smooth conduct of activities.
 To support and provide services to the students for their holistic development.
 To dedicate to social and organizational activities.
Some important activities:
 Orientation to Freshers’: Every year student union organize orientation program to first
year students in collaboration with IQAC. In this program information about vision,
mission of the college, support services, facilities available in the campus, curricular, co-
curricular, extra-curricular activities will be provided to the freshers.
 Freshers’ day:
 Student union celebrates Freshers day and organizes cultural, games events
distribute prizes and they provide necessary tips for achieving success.
 They intimate about the rules and regulations of the college and role of students in
the execution of institutional co activities.
 Farewell Day: Students organize farewell party to outgoing students to honor and also to
pass on good wishes to them.
 Annual Sports and Cultural Day Celebration: Prior to the event Physical Education
Department and Cultural and Literary Club conducts competitions, then college annual
sports and cultural meet will be celebrated.
 Self Government Day: Students Union celebrate self government day, where in most of
the final year students play the role of teachers and engage classes. They enact as
principal, vice principal and administrative staff and execute the administrative activities.
 Teachers Day: Teachers day will be celebrated every year on 5th
September, where in
whole host of events will be successfully organized by the students. They conduct various
games to the staff and distribute prizes. Staff also participates very enthusiastically in the
games events organized by students. The union organizes various cultural events. The
highlight of the program having its unique feature is that they welcomed all the staff
members through PowerPoint Presentation with suitable videos, songs and claps on 5th
September, 2015. It was a memorable event to the staff as well as to the students.
 Celebrating important Days: Students Union also celebrate National Integration day
and college inception day on 19th
Nov every year. Apart from this, it also celebrate some
other important days like National Education day, National Girl Child day, birth
centenary celebrations of Durgabhai Deshmukh to instill knowledge and create
awareness.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The union has established MoU with Sabitha Educational Society an NGO organization,
Sangareddy dt.: 02.01.2015 for 3 years which provides education and training to mentally
challenged children. Through this MoU the student union members are training the students of
Sabitha Educational Society and they are even contributing rice, books, sweets, fruits etc. thus
the union is contributing social service towards the community development.

 Through the activities conducted by students union as per the list mentioned above many
of the students felt these programs are very informative, effective and beneficial to them.
 Helped them in gaining and improving leadership and organizational skills.
 Provided clear picture of the vision, mission support services, facilities available, rules
and regulations of the college.
 Helped to participate and promote social service to the community.

  • 2. Page 2 of 11 Students’ Union Report The students’ union committee will be constituted every year in the beginning of the academic year. The principal in consultation with IQAC coordinator and senior faculty members constitutes the committee with one senior teacher as convener and another teacher as member. Then two students will be nominated as members. After commencement of first year classes two representatives from each class will be either nominated by concerned class councilor or will be elected by students to represent their problems. From the class representatives nominated or elected during the academic year 2015-16 a union is formed with following positions for the smooth coordination and conduct of academic, administrative and governing activities. Page 3 of 11 Purpose:  The main purpose is co-ordination and execution of curricular, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities.  To represent the students’ grievances and to solve them amicably.  To suggest the college authorities ways for smooth conduct of activities.  To support and provide services to the students for their holistic development.  To dedicate to social and organizational activities. Some important activities:  Orientation to Freshers’: Every year student union organize orientation program to first year students in collaboration with IQAC. In this program information about vision, mission of the college, support services, facilities available in the campus, curricular, co- curricular, extra-curricular activities will be provided to the freshers.  Freshers’ day:  Student union celebrates Freshers day and organizes cultural, games events distribute prizes and they provide necessary tips for achieving success.  They intimate about the rules and regulations of the college and role of students in the execution of institutional co activities.  Farewell Day: Students organize farewell party to outgoing students to honor and also to pass on good wishes to them.  Annual Sports and Cultural Day Celebration: Prior to the event Physical Education Department and Cultural and Literary Club conducts competitions, then college annual sports and cultural meet will be celebrated.  Self Government Day: Students Union celebrate self government day, where in most of the final year students play the role of teachers and engage classes. They enact as principal, vice principal and administrative staff and execute the administrative activities.  Teachers Day: Teachers day will be celebrated every year on 5th September, where in whole host of events will be successfully organized by the students. They conduct various games to the staff and distribute prizes. Staff also participates very enthusiastically in the games events organized by students. The union organizes various cultural events. The highlight of the program having its unique feature is that they welcomed all the staff members through PowerPoint Presentation with suitable videos, songs and claps on 5th September, 2015. It was a memorable event to the staff as well as to the students.  Celebrating important Days: Students Union also celebrate National Integration day and college inception day on 19th Nov every year. Apart from this, it also celebrate some other important days like National Education day, National Girl Child day, birth centenary celebrations of Durgabhai Deshmukh to instill knowledge and create awareness.

Page 4 of 11 Memorandum of Understanding: The union has established MoU with Sabitha Educational Society an NGO organization, Sangareddy dt.: 02.01.2015 for 3 years which provides education and training to mentally challenged children. Through this MoU the student union members are training the students of Sabitha Educational Society and they are even contributing rice, books, sweets, fruits etc. thus the union is contributing social service towards the community development. Many students presented papers. 7 19-11-2010 College Inception Day & National Integration day and Birthday of Indira Gandhi Sri.Phelix Edward, Principal Principal said that education is not only power but it is also wealth. On the occasion of National Integration and birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi a Seminar was conducted. 8 17-03-2011 Annual Sports and cultural day celebration Sri.Anji Reddy, SR charitable trust chairperson Annual sports and cultural day was celebrated. 9 05-09-2011 Seminar on Teacher’s day Smt.P.Kalyani, Principal Role of teacher in human beings' life were briefly explained

Page 5 of 11 10 18-11-2011 National Integration day seminar Smt.P.Kalyani, Principal History of college development since its inception, future plans, were discussed and importance of National Integrity in the democratic country like India was explained. 11 16-03-2012 Annual sports and cultural day Dr.N.Gopi, Retired vice chancellor, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University annuual sports and cultural day was celebrated. On this occassion various compititions were conducted and prizes were distributed 12 20/7/2012 Orientation and Anti-Ragging Smt.P.Kalyani An orientation session as well as a proramme on Anti-ragging has been organised. Klayani, Principal 1st year students emphasized by the principal and vision, mission of the college, responsibilities of students were explained and studets performed cultural events. 25 19.11.2014 National Integration Day and College Inception Day Smt. Sameera Nazneen, Principal Brief History of college development since its inception, future plans, role of students in the development of the college etc. were discussed and importance of National Integrity in the democratic country like India was explained.

They engaged classes enthusiastically and in the evening they conducted game to all teaching and non teaching staff. 29 05.09.2015 Teachers Day Smt. Sameera Nazneen, Principal Students Union organized a programme on teachers day in which students and staff gave messages, some of the students presented skits and cultural events.
