1. To whom it may concern,
This letter is to confirm that Christy Zakarias has attended a training session to become a
Student Switch Off Ambassador and has taken a proactive role in promoting the
campaign at University College London over the 2015/16 academic year.
Student Switch Off is a not-for-profit energy-saving campaign run by NUS at over 50
universities across the UK. We encourage students in halls of residences to save energy
and recycle, which resulted in an average 6% energy reduction in halls of residence last
year.
Student Switch Off Ambassadors are key to the success of the campaign. They receive
training from NUS, after which they must use their drive, enthusiasm and communication
skills to complete a number of the following activities:
- Communicating with others about energy-saving and recycling in halls of
residence
- Recruiting students to support the campaign
- Organising and running events for students in their hall of residence to raise
awareness about the campaign and the energy-saving actions we encourage
- Providing social media support for the competition
Yours sincerely,
Rachel Soper
