Dr Sachinder Kaura
GSSS Kurukshetra (2406)
Education plays an important role in all round development of child personality and development of
quality/better citizen. Quality education can only be provided through quality teachers only. The
skills of teachers can be raised through teacher education programmes. Researches show that
teacher training delivered through cascade model yield just 0.03% results. Thus, case sensitive
teacher training is proposed in district Kurukshetra. The case based pedagogy is recently being
practiced in management, law and education. Here a problem or the narration of a situation is being
given to reflect on that and with the sharing of experience teachers mutually sort out the situation
and expert plays a role of moderator and facilitate the discussion and help them to reach on a
particular solutions this techniques has been given by Shullman of Indonesia. The second factor that
affects the training yield is time of training and environment in the training. So it is proposed that
there will not be continuous training for a week or ten days but it would be divided into one day
training for every teacher in one month. The training will be organised in different schools in
rotation manner in the cluster in a Kitty manner where every school will have the chance to
demonstrate/ showcase their best activities to their colleague. This will lead a healthy competition
sprit among schools also. This training will be organised on Ist Saturday for half the teachers and
third Saturday for the remaining half the teachers.
Formation of Cluster Resource Group: CARG will also be developed at cluster level comprising the
following officials

5. Subject Expert English
6. Subject Expert Math/ Science
7. Subject Expert SS

11. Cultural event expert
2. These subject experts will also attend this training who will guide the teacher if the teacher would
have any difficulty in subject content or any common problem. He will also monitor the progress of
the academic as well as official activities and resolve the issues on the spot. Further the experts will
also report the issues to the BEO, DEEO for resolving the issues.
These subject experts will also develop achievement test to monitor the progress the students of
different schools which will be conducted on First and third Saturday during the training. And the
report of the test would be shared on fourth Saturday with parents by the school teachers. Reports

Healthy body in healthy mind is a proverb. To prove it we will welcome the initiatives of Arya Vir
Dal led by Gurukul Kurukshetra and volunteer of Pantanjali Kurukshetra who have offered their
services to teach Yoga, meditation, PT, LZM, dumble and self defence in schools where the number
of students less than 150 in primary classes and less than 100 for upper primary classes. Here i
would like to disclose that neither department nor the surve shiksha abhiyan provide expert in
physical education and self defence. A six day capsule course will be organised in each primary and
upper primary school. The same honorarium would be provided to volunteer which has to be
provided to MT of SMC training.
Public speaking is also an additional skill now a day that develop the personality of the child. An
effort will also be made to develop public speaking skill among children by organising House
system. Three Saturdays a month will be offered to students to run the school as they like under
the supervision of the teachers, where teachers as well as students have the opportunity to show
their managerial and creativity and mutually learn from themselves. Various type of activities will
be carried out throughout the year at cluster level such as quiz on topics relating to environment,
constitution of India, history of India and world, current events, religion festivals and celebration of
national days; declamation contests, debate; symposium; Rangoli making; essay writing; drawing
and painting; greeting card making etc.
Cultural events also play an important role in the development of child personality. So cluster level
co curricular activities will also be show cased with the help of cultural event experts. They will
develop different prayers, National song, National anthem, welcome song and theme songs with
flair of music instruments. An annual function or foundation day of School or SMDC will be
celebrated where all academic, cultural and sports excellence of the school would be showcased
and awarded.
To carry out these activities smoothly, the school will need to follow the time table period wise
starting from class Two to Eighth. Three types of time tables will be required to meet out the need
of these elementary schools.
1. Time table for independent Primary school
2. Time table for middle schools having one section
3. Time table for middle schools having two sections
