Malcolm: And his unexpected angel

INT. MALCOLM'S BEDROOM. EVENING
Malcolm is pouring himself a drink, it hen slowly follows
him to his desk where he is writing something on his
laptop. He is on his the computer, it then becomes
apparent that he is writing a script.  He is typing and
saying what he is typing at the same time.
COMPUTER
"A handsome yet shy teenager
leaves the coffee shop, he is
around 6ft2, and always wears a
grey jumper, after this he-"
While this is happening there is crosscutting of a
handsome guy leaving a coffee shop wearing a grey jumper.
Malcolm is very confused, he can not continue his story.
MALCOLM
What does he do, he leaves the
coffee shop and-  (talking to
himself).
Malcolm puts his hand on his head.  Looks at his
Facebook. Malcolm starts scrolling and takes a sip of his
drink.
CHARLIE (FACEBOOK)
Listen Man, We're shooting in
literally 3 days, where the fuck
is our script.  
CHARLIE (FACEBOOK)
Send it to me!
CHARLIE (FACEBOOK)
What the fuck is going on send it
to me.
Malcolm takes another sip of his drink and starts to work
on his script again.
MALCOLM
He leaves the coffee shop, Kurt
leaves the coffee shop- Fuck.

EXT. STREET CORNER. DAY
Malcolm is riding on his bike and he sees a familiar face
pass by him, he slowly looks back, it become apparent
later that it is Kurt.
 
INT. MALCOLM'S BEDROOM. DAY
He keeps looking behind him until he gets back to his
room and kurt is sitting quietly on his bed listening to
music.  malcolm is totally startled.
KURT
So what you gonna write next?
MALCOLM
Who the fuck are you?
KURT
You wrote about me, no?
Malcolm then realises that he is Kurt.
MALCOLM
I don't know who you are, but I'm
going to call the police.
Kurt leaves, and Malcolm shuts the door, he turns around
and Kurt is just behind him.
MALCOLM
Jesus.
Malcolm is just staring at Kurt.  Kurt is smiling back
intently at Malcolm.
KURT
So what happens next.
MALCOLM
What the fuck, I'm dreaming, I
must be dreaming, or I'm insane.
It is silent, Kurt is being really awkward, he is just
twirling his thumbs, looking up to the ceiling.
KURT
You gonna write then?
Malcolm still not able to contemplate what is happening.

CONTINUED: (2)
MALCOLM
Am I going to write?  
KURT
Yeh, you seem to not have written
very much.
Malcolm looks like he is going to punch Kurt in the face,
he then takes another swig of his vodka.
KURT
Well that isn't helping you, give
it to me.
MALCOLM
Don't tell me what to do, I
created you for fuck sake.
KURT
Ok, but when you do write it,
make sure after the coffee shop
I'm going to meet someone I love
MALCOLM
What? Wait a minute.  That isn't
half bad.
Malcolm starts typing.
MALCOLM
What else?
There is no answer.  
MALCOLM
What else man?
Malcolm looks back and Kurt is gone.  Malcolm is confused
again.  Malcolm looks everywhere around his room.  He
then wakes up.  Malcolm has been sleeping at his desk the
whole time, but he has a smile on his face as he now
knows what to write.  he looks to his right and sees a
grey jumper, the same one that Kurt wears, he is really
scared.
INT. MONTAGE. DAY
Malcolm is sitting on his bed, it becomes apparent that
time is slowly passing and he has no idea what he is
doing, it then concludes with a phone call between him
and the company expecting the script.

CONTINUED: (2)
INT. DINING ROOM. DAY
Malcolm has finally given up, he is looking out the
window, he slowly but surely walks towards his chair at
the top of the table and sits down. He closes his laptop
in disgust. A tear drips down his afce, to show another
sign of defeat.
KURT
I knew you couldn't write it,
your not as special as people
think you are.
MALCOLM
I've given up, I can do this
anymore.
Malcolm walks out.
INT. MALCOLM'S BEDROOM. EVENING
Malcolm is staring at his phone, looking at it almost
predicting it to ring. The phone rings.
MALCOLM
Hi Leslie.
LESLIE
Hi Malcolm! I'm so excited to
read the first draft!
MALCOLM
Yes but theres something I have
to tell you.
LESLIE
You can tell me face to face, I'm
on my way to your house so we can
talk about your fabulous script.
see you soon!
The phone goes dead, Malcolm puts the phone down and
stares straight into the distance.
INT. STAIRCASE. NIGHT
Malcolm is slowly waiting for a knock on the door. There
is a knock. Blackout.
