Infrasound (sound/song TBA) begins.
2. The film sequence opens in reverse chronology. The FEMALE
CHARACTER is sat on the floor with her back facing the
audience. She rocks back and forth, and you can hear her
inaudible whispering.
The FEMALE CHARACTER is visibly shown twitching as she
tries to pick up a pencil, and her eye look around the room
very frantically. Her head then turns slightly to the right
and her eyes are shown looking down at something. She is
wearing a nightgown and has messy long hair.
The FEMALE CHARACTER, who is not revealed, crawls over to
her desk where he journal is, and sits on the chair. The
camera follows from behind her head and the screen goes
black. It fades in and out (to mimic blinking) and we can
see the blank page of her journal.
She begins writing “I’ve got out” “You can’t put me back”
multiple times. Her journal entry starts off small and she
writes slowly. She gradually quickens the pace of her
writing, and the letters become bigger, and the writing
becomes messier. Audience can hear quick pencil scratches.
A voice over of creepy/demonic voices fade in.
WIFE
(answering voices)
Go away...stop...
Close-up shot finally reveals the FEMALE ACTOR, and she can
be seen trying to cover her ears while she’s writing in her
journal. The demonic voices gradually get louder.
The shot goes to her writing in her journal. She is still
writing “I’ve got out”/”You can’t put me back”. She is
smirking as she is writing.
WIFE
(quietly)
I’ve got out...you can’t put me back. I’ve got out...you
can’t put me back.
The WIFE’s pencil marks get deeper on the page.
WIFE
3. I’ve got out!
FEMALE CHARACTER hears shuffling behind her, looks back
quickly, then closes her journal hurriedly. The demonic
voices become very quiet - barely audible.
CUT TO BLACK SCREEN
INT. A BEDROOM - DARK
FEMALE CHARACTER then grabs her journal and crawls back to
the floor where she sat in the beginning of the film. She
looks down to her right.
FEMALE CHARACTER
(child-like voice)
You’ll be ok young man...rest well dear
MALE CHARACTER
(groans quietly)
The camera zooms out and reveals a MALE ACTOR lying next to
FEMALE CHARACTER, unconscious. The FEMALE CHARACTER then
giggles to herself and crawls back to her chair. She looks
back quickly at the MALE CHARACTER, smiling, and an over-
the-shoulder shot is used to show her flicking through her
journal to the first page.
The close-up is used to show her writing a new entry on the
first page of her journal. Her handwriting is neat and she
is writing calmly. The FEMALE CHARACTER is the revealed,
but this time her appearance looks refreshed. The rooms is
also bright now. The camera moves swiftly from the page and
shows her face. She looks at the screen and it cuts to the
title.
