certain measurements but doesn’t produce plans just like engineers or
architects do.
However, they have to study Different types of drawing produced by
engineers and architects during the different phases of a construction
project.
12. BILL OF QUANTITIES (BQ)
Type of document that is normally
used in tendering a project in
construction industry.
IT PROVIDeS:
Specific measured quantities of
materials IDENTIFIED by the drawings
and SPECIFICATIONS in the tender
document
The quantities can be measured in
number, length, volume, area, weight
or time.
17. Tender Drawing
STAGE 1
● Produced by Architect
● QS use it for estimating the cost
of the building.
● Issue project tendering stages
● For client to initiate project
18. Tender Document
● Invitation To Tender
● Pre-construction Information
● Design Drawing
● Specifications
● A Drawing Schedule
● Bill Of Quantities
● Tender Form
19. Preparation of Tender Document
1. Received drawings and specifications from architect and engineer .
2. Prepare Preliminary Estimate .
3. Continue the process of tendering after the client agree with the
Preliminary Cost Estimate .
4. taking off and get the quantity .
5. Double checked by Quantity Surveyor .
6. Head of technical apartment will recheck and approved proper Bill
of Quantities .
7. Bill of Quantities compiled into tender documents .
