• New Prospect Elem School Back to School Bash- Friday, Aug 22nd from 5:30-
8pm. Need volunteers for face pairing, manning the bounce houses, setting up,
cleaning up, etc. Sign up on the sign up sheet on the Jr. Beta Board in the
Academic Rotunda.
• MADD Walk/Run in Piedmont Park- September 6th- 7am to 11am- help
pass out water to runner and walkers, set up/clean up/ help with
registration and the “fun zone”. Contact Amy Kissam -

• Ms. Pardee needs help with data entry- With all the new Betas, we
need help updating our Jr. Beta database. Come in @ 8am to work on
inputting all the new beta information. Contact Ms. Pardee
• Media Center needs volunteers too!
• Furkids Animals Shelter always needs volunteers!

Jr. Beta needs new shirts for the 2014-2015 school year. We want you to help us by designing them!
- Doesn’t need images or drawings- it’s OK if it’s words only
- Can be a graphic design
- Must have WBMS Jr. Beta somewhere on the shirt
- We would like to have 2014-2015 incorporated somewhere on the
shirt
- A catchy slogan/saying would be great!

Media Center Spruce Up
We are going to be working with Mrs.
Brown and Mrs. Shaw this year to help
“spruce up” the media center as our
service learning project this year.
It will happen later this fall so we will let
you know when we have more info.
13. + State Convention
November TBA
Macon, GA Each year Junior Beta members have an
opportunity to attend the Georgia Junior
Beta Convention in Macon, Georgia. This is a
two-day convention that gives our members
a chance to meet hundreds of other Junior
Beta members from schools throughout
Georgia and participate in activities ranging
from academic contests to quiz bowls to
talent competitions. The State Convention
provides the opportunity for members to
interact, share project ideas, and showcase
their academic and leadership abilities. The
State Convention is a fun-filled two days that
our members look forward to each year.
