• Blood Drive – In discussion with One Blood about a Blood Drive and what this could look like. Will
reach out to RSO AKA Chapter for interest in partnership. Please do know that donations are still
needed Brothers!! They are NEEDED more than ever now with the school and employer locations
closed and no drives happening over the last 8 weeks!! Please help!!
• We can still help and remember Brothers you can PLEASE donate anytime throughout the year at
any of the One Blood Donation Center locations here in Charlotte & surrounding area– No Code

24. • Walls Memorial Church – June 2020 Service Date – cancelled
• 2nd Harvest Food Bank – have BNL Alpha registered and need to confirm dates with Brotherhood
– have reached out to 2nd Harvest contact for additional information and what the volunteer
work would look like with COVID-19. Will update Brotherhood!! Just need to determine a
weekend.
• Coat/Clothes Drive – Drive for distribution Uptown Charlotte – no activities scheduled at this
time
• Toy Assembly/Assistance/Clothes Closet – St. Paul’s Baptist Church – no activities scheduled at
this time
• March of Dimes (March for Babies) – Brother T. Brian George/Brother Eric DeWalt – BNL 2020
Goal of $10,000.00 Please DONATE Brothers. Event moved to October 2020. We still have
our goal $$ and understanding we are all challenged w this pandemic we can get this with
your help and support!!! Know we all have a lot going on but a little from us all can have a
huge impact!!
• Harvest Center West– Jackson Park – no updates at this time
• Men’s Shelter – Cooking/Serving meals – no updates at this time
• Meeting day/time – Did not have a June call. New Co-Chairs will update when they want their
meeting. Look forward to working with them and with their new ideas & initiatives to help us
continue to do the work of Alpha here in the Charlotte Community!!
• New Committee Chairs. As mentioned this will be my last month as Community Service
Committee Chair. Have a few Brothers that have stepped up and will have Co-Committee Chairs
to divide up the work and make sure we are doing the work of Alpha in our Community!! Thank
you Brother Derrick Love and Brother Lamont Booker.
