1. Production diary – week8
This week, I have started on the planning evidence stage of my coursework. I
firstly took a look at the guideline checklist that I found on the Haydon media
website and looked at the different tasks I had to carry out. That’s when I
realised that the task of contacting the artistthat I had already completed was
on the planning section and the not the research. ThereforeI justswapped
labels and therefore that was my firstplanning evidence task.
I then started fromthe top of the list with the firsttask being initial planning
ideas. As I had already written down ideas for my music video on my lists app
on my phone, I decided to take that into preziand write about my ideas on a
presentation in more detail. This included the song choice, general props,
costumes etc. These ideas are still initial planning ideas thereforethese ideas
will progress and expand later on in the project. I will rely on these notes as a
basis so that I havea brief idea on how I want my music video to look like.
Although I will improveon these ideas so they will not be exactly how they are
on the prezi.
The next piece of planning evidence I had completed this week was the mood
board. I created the mood board so that I can have an idea on how I would
want the video to be like in terms of the mood that it expresses to its
audience. To create this, I took images of different aspects that I am planning
for the video to include such as what the narrativeand the appearanceof it
will be and consistof. I have also included images of how the typical and target
audience of the video will be like in terms of their likes, appearance and social
status etc.
The last planning evidence I completed this week was the artist styling and
costume planning that included images and information about the different
outfits and looks that I am thinking about using for both my artistand the
actors. Planning this before constructing the actual music video will help me
easily preparefor the outfits that I will be using and also practiseon the make-
up and hair looks on the artist and actors beforehand etc.
