There are three different styles of parenting and the level of attachment in relation to the parenting style. In the course book, it defines attachment as

were so negative–– by negative I mean, nearly seven out of ten said that single [parents] raising a child without the benefit of a partner was bad for

Which normally causes the parents to split and have the child be under the guidance of one parent.. Although these parents become single parents, they
still have the help from the other parent when they are visiting their child.
Many single parents just never married. They wouldn 't want to get involved into a long commitment with their partner. Although some may know

Parenting Styles In Grace Based Parenting
My family situation is very positive. My parents have been married for years. They were not able to have kids till they were years old. In 1997 they
had me and four years later in 2001 they had my younger brother. Both of my parents' parenting styles are different. They both, however have a
combination of parenting styles described in Grace Based Parenting. Grace Based Parenting addresses seven parenting methods. The seven methods are
fear–based, evangelical behavior–modification, image–control, high–control, herd–mentality, duct–tape, and life–support or 911 parenting. I think at
one time or another, either both or one of my parents have exercised the methods fear–based, high–control, and grace–based parenting. My parents have
not always had a fear–based approach to parenting. I believe when my brother and I were young they took on this method mainly to protect us.
Because my mother has experience in the medical field and more specifically worked at Scottish Rite, she has seen some terrible things that have
happened to children. Thus, she did not allow us to go over and hang out with just anyone. Our door, however, was always open to any neighborhood

Gentle Parenting Vs Gentle Parenting
Early childhood is an incredibly important part of a person's life when they learn critical life lessons. The way that someone parents can have lasting
and far–reaching effects on their children which is why it is important, especially in the early years of a child's life, to parent in a way that successfully

The writer chose to volunteer at the Child Advocacy and Parenting Place in Wilmington at 1403 S. 39th St and the phone number is 910–791–1057.
The writer was supervised by Lauren Clark, Program Supervisor and Callie Capps, Children's Programs Facilitator and Group Leader. Lauren is in
charge of the Strengthening Families Program for parents of children ages six to eleven. The program is held at Snipes Academy of the Arts. The
writer assists the CAPP staff at the Strengthening Families Program from 2:00–6:30pm every Monday afternoon. The writer has volunteered on
Monday October 14th, Monday October 21st, Monday October 26th and Monday November 4th and plans to continue until the program is over. Each
week the writer observed a new clients attending the program. The program begins with a family meal before the parents attend an hour session with
each other talking about goals they need to meet with their children. For the last hour of the program, the parents and children to practice skills and do

I believe parenting styles and society play an important role in adolescent rebellion. From my own experiences I believe rebellion is common today
because of peer pressures, negative lyrics in music that send out wrong messages and neglectful parenting. Rebellion also stems from disengaged

I have some things that I would like to discuss with you, regarding the parenting plan. I recognize the two of us have sort of have steered away from a
few details and feel we need to get back on track.
EXCHANGE
Initially, when creating the parenting plan, the two of us agreed to meet half–way for exchange since you were living in Spring Hill, and I in Palm
Harbor. This is why we chose the church. Since you moved to New Port Richey a few months back, I have not suggested changing the location as I felt
comfortable meeting there. However, since your move, I understand you only live approximately 5 minutes away from the church; making it an
exchange location no longer half–way. After this past Sunday, when I drove 30 minutes out of my way for the switch not to happen, I realized how
unfair that is to me. For this reason, I would like to change the exchange location to be closer to the middle again. According to Google Maps there
is slightly under 30 minutes' drive (with no traffic) between our addresses, therefore I feel a suitable meeting spot is at Publix in Tarpon Springs.

During my upbringing, the parenting style that I have experienced would be the authoritarian and authoritative style. In life, my parents have been
strict at times but lenient at most times. My parents have been the type to let me be free, because I was raised to be respectful towards others.
Through junior high, my parents were very strict about what I did. In my home we had security and cameras. My parents didn't like many of the

Firstly, some parenting styles will prevent children to enjoy from common childhood activities in order to solely focus on school and extracurricular
activities. They would prohibit children to have playdates, play computer games, watch TV, etc. These parents will prevent the goods of

The Western parent allows the child to show interest in a subject or activity, then allows them to explore this interest, whereas the Chinese style
parent chooses school subjects and activities. Allowing the children to first show interest in an activity helps to set the child up for success. If the
child likes an activity, they are more likely to practice or develop skills because they enjoy it, and are not being forced into it. This may help their

Overall, my mother was distant and didn't expect much from my siblings and me. An example of this parenting style would be when I found out I
had received a scholarship from the Heartland Foundation. When my mother found out she went on multiple social media sites to tell everyone the

Parenting Reflection
Becoming a more competent communicator and disciplinarian, without escalating conflict is what I am working on, specifically with my five
teenage children, ages 17, 15, 14, 14 and 14. After my divorce, my children were beginning to exhibit at risk behaviors, such as sneaking out of the
home, disregarding family rules and expectations with regard to homework, chores and their overall safety. Eventually a friend who is employed with
the Department of Children and Family Services referred me to Youth Services. This resulted in attending weekly classes for ten weeks aimed at
reducing conflict and finding new ways to communicate with my children. The class is structured around the peer reviewed research of the same name,
Strengthening Families, and provides an atmosphere for me to work with youth counselors who actively assist me in changing my parenting style to
adopt a more collaborative approach.
Through my research and attendance of the Strengthening Families classes, it became glaringly obvious that the approach I was taking to parenting,
was not successful. One of my discoveries through this project is that overall, my children respond better to a collaborative approach and it is more
meaningful to hold them accountable for their actions when we have all decided ahead of time what those consequences will be. While I have five
children left in my home, I have an older son who is married and on his own, I have been parenting one way for a very long time and I found changing
