Next Generation Left
I have always been interested in politics and how they work. Politics are interesting to me because I find it as a possible area I could work in.
Mostly my parents and grandparents have influenced my view on government. Also, a few of my friends' parents have influenced my views on
government because they have stressed their opinions to me and I mostly agree with those opinions. Before this unit, I was pretty unsure of where I
resided politically and who I wanted to vote for.
On the political spectrum, I am a "next generation left". One reason I am a next generation left is because I agree with the key beliefs of a "next
generation left." Another reason I believe I am a "next generation left" is because the policies that next generation lefts ... Show more content on

One reason is because I have taken multiple quizzes and every time the results come out differently. Another reason is because I share beliefs of both
parties and am undecided on certain issues. The issues include favoring world peace, the US should be more dominant in trade and that the government
should support the common man. An issue that I am undecided about is the purpose of our government and I go back and forth on this issue.
If I had to vote for president, I would vote for Hillary Clinton for multiple reasons. One reason is because I like her views on the environment and
energy because I agree that we need to decrease pollution and we need to find a better energy source. I also like Clinton's view on national security
because she wants to do more in depth background checks. Some of the down sides of Clinton is that her views on jobs and taxes don't really make
sense to me. Overall, I think she is the better candidate for the four and I would vote for her.
Although I feel very strongly on some of the issues I wrote about, I'm sure my view on most of these issues and parties will soon change as I grow
up. Politics are ever changing, meaning people's views of the government will also

Global Leadership : The Next Generation Of Global Leaders
As Millennials continue to grow and dominate the workplace, leaders must identify the factors that will create the next generation of global leaders
and how to effectively tap into the vast reservoirs of technological knowledge Millennials bring to the table. This speech will outline the relationship of
cause and effect as it relates Millennials, the next generation of global leaders.
Keywords: Leader, Organizational Leadership, Millennials, Global Leadership
Introduction
Global leadership is contingent upon an organization's ability to compete in the global marketplace using goods, services, technology and human
capital. It is the ability to create tangible strategies and to turn them into reality (Holloway, 2009). Therefore, as global ... Show more content on

According to recent research, Millennials (75.5 million) have edged out the Baby Boomers (74.9 million), who are retiring, as the fastest growing group
in the United States, with Generation X lagging behind (66 million) (Fry, 2016). By the year 2020, Millennials will account for half of the workforce
and their impact on the economic is contingent upon how the economy is doing at that time (Shin, 2015). The Education Testing Service found
although Millennials are receiving more education than any other generational group, they may lose their competitive edge against international peers
(Twaronite, 2015).
The Issue When it comes to Millennials, there is nothing that screams "business as usual." Consequently, savvy leaders who want to remain successful
in the global business arena, must concede their current method of attracting, engaging, developing and retaining Millennials as future global leaders is
ineffective. Therefore, today's leaders must develop a more compelling strategy to entice Millennials into leadership. Failure to use strategic foresight to
recognize trends regarding future organizational trends and take timely actions to change their tried and true, old school philosophy regarding
developing and retaining talented employees will result in losing the competitive edge, which is driven by technology–laden Millennial's who are
poised to innovation.
Supporting Evidence My position is global leaders can access the talents and

Star Trek: The Next Generation
Working Title
When I was ten in Korea, my English teacher handed out a VHS tape labeled "Star Trek". The video was meant to give a taste of American television
to my young eyes. After watching two episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation", I started a new life that was driven by technology.
Starting by reading old computer programming books even before we had a computer in our house, I was driven to explore a new world of computers
by learning the machines. I used my computer skills to help other people in part to share my enthusiasm on the positive force technology can bring to
our society. Over the years, I helped neighbors clear out spyware, connect the computer to the printer, publish a website, and even delete precious

Since watching my first Star Trek episode, I always believed that technology will be a force of good. However, technology must also be understood
and used correctly in order for the society to get the best use of it. Hosting my own website for over 12 years and helping other people along the way, I
have a unique experience with computer technology that not only can contribute to my law studies but also to the law campus community.
The [Law School's name] offers the atmosphere of a collaborative community that encourages student to work together in their studies as well as

The Next Generation of Storytelling Essay
Storytelling has been mankind's most broad and universal occupation since its conception and has come a long way, developing new techniques and
expanding in multiple domains. It can be considered an ancient form of art because it is crucial for human expression. Every culture has made a
contribution to the narration of stories in various fields, such as, entertainment, literature, education, the media and so forth, with the purpose of
conveying an important message, or purely to entertain. One entertainment medium which has been disregarded over the course of the years is the
video games industry. Over the last few years, this industry has developed into one of the most complex branches in entertainment and has gained a

A famous game that followed a clear and simple pattern was Mario, where the player was given the task of searching for the princess in successively
empty castles. Another example of an early game is Space Invaders, where the goal of the game was to destroy multiple rows of pixelated aliens.
Because storytelling techniques were primitive in the early years, the player was not rewarded with cutscenes that drove the plot forward; instead he
got points that were accumulated a total score. However, with the passing of time, technology and the gaming audience evolved and matured, creating
new opportunities for the medium to expand its horizons and develop new storytelling techniques. Following the significant evolutions in technology,
video games have adopted these advancements and continued to become more elaborate, especially with the use of motion capture, which allows
technicians to capture and record the live performance of actors that are applied to the 3D models of the virtual character. This is only one element that
makes the products of this medium so appealing and immersive for the player. These technological advancements have given to the developers of video
games the opportunity to construct stories and characters which are more believable and complex, bringing about a narrative revolution. In recent years,
video games have boasted captivating and thoughtful stories, allowing the

Since the Wright brother's first flight over Kitty Hawk 108 years ago, the accomplishments of the human race in aerospace have been nothing short of
miraculous. The United States aerospace and aviation industry has developed into a crucial element of the global infrastructure. It is an industry that

What permits this? Each airplane will have a special transponder that transmits and receives precise information about the time at which it and others
will cross key points along their route. Additionally, pilots and air traffic managers on the ground will have the same precise information, transmitted
via data communications, which creates a much faster process of getting the planes in and out of the airports. This also helps the air traffic control
managers by being able to allow the airplanes closer to each other with out harming them. These controllers will not have to use as much two–way
communication neither because the information will automatically be transmitted via data communications. Therefore, the communication frequencies
will be less busy and less stressful on the air traffic controllers. Which creates a much faster process of getting the planes in and out of airports. Once
the planes have departed from their airport, the transponders along with the new GPS based technology that NextGen has included into the
"Implementation Plan" may now choose more direct paths instead of using old traditional Navaid technology, such as Victor Airways to travel. With
GPS technology as part of the new system they are hoping it will cut down on the noise level of communication frequencies as well. Pilots will use

Teen Television Dram The Next Generation, By The Bell And...
Every television show falls into one genre or another. Whether its an Action, Comedy, Drama, Adventure show, they all fall into the category of
different types of television genres. The concept of a genre can be used in "rhetoric, literary theory, media theory and more recently linguistics, to
refer to a distinctive type of 'text'" (Chandler, 1). Thus, every aspect of television exhibits a reliance on genre in which becomes a principal factor of
framing texts which support comprehension. Throughout this essay, I will focus specifically on the genre of Teen TV Drama using the television show
Degrassi: The Next Generation, and comparing it to two other programs such as Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills of 90210. Through this notion, we

Presently, there are many iconic television shows that draw on the generic identity of teen drama for instance, "Degrassi: The Next Generation."
Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood's, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Degrassi is known to be a very popular television show that first started in the
1980's. It is a franchise of five television shows that focus on the lives of young teenage students. Some of Degrassi franchise includes the kids of
Degrassi Street, Degrassi junior high, and Degrassi classic. However, in 2001, there was a new addition of Degrassi that was premiered, Degrassi:
The next generation. During its eight seasons, the viewers kept up with numerous different regular teenagers who go to school at Degrassi High
school and learn to juggle school while being able to maintain a social life and basically just trying to fit in and finding their place in the world.
Looking back to these three popular shows, we are able to discuss the central genre of teen drama. However, when examining the three teen drama
television shows, there are many focal points that must be considered. As chandler mentioned before, genre is known to be a distinctive type of "text."
However, there are a number of things that must be considered when analyzing a genre. Not only do we study the text, but also the creators and

Next Generation Contribution
Contributions to the Next Generations of Leaders
To be a leader in the 21st century is no small feat as we live in an age of technology, political uncertainty, and consistent changes and challenges.
Leaders have to be resilient and adaptable. John Maxwell points out many characteristics of a successful leader in the book, "Developing the Leaders
Around You, How to Help Others Reach Their Full Potential." Reading chapter ten begs the question, what will be my contribution to the next
generation of leaders?
Before speaking on my contributions, it is important to identify some characteristics of a leader which I embody. In Llopis (2002), the author outlines
six characteristics that define the 21st century. These six are, "see opportunity in everything, anticipate the unexpected, strive for excellence,
innovation comes second nature, share momentum with others, and lead to leave a legacy" (Llopis, 2002). Throughout my tenure, I have come to
realize that I embody these six characteristics in my daily activities. Although all the characteristics build on one another, lead to leave a legacy
particularly holds importance to me. As Llopis (2002) states, "Success comes most to those surrounded by people who want their success to continue."
To be a successful leader, one has to develop those around them which will enhance the leader's success. This can be enhanced by demonstrating
Maxwell's (1995) abilities in leadership including expressing belief in those who you lead, empowering

I am not a big fan of Star Trek so, when I told my husband I needed to watch Star Trek: The Next Generation for my discussion board assignment he
was ready and willing to watch it with me. I am just not a Syfy person. I honestly thought the plot would be discussing a robot like R2D2 not human
like. In the Synopsis Data defines himself as "an automaton made to resemble a human being" (Synopsis).
My first thought after watching the show was, could artificial intelligence really have the same feelings as a human does. Should they have the same
rights, even though man designed them? Picard had some very good points and I could see how the crew became fond of Data.

Next Generation Sequencing Of Human Diseases
Topic Four: Next–generation Sequencing in Human Diseases
Exome Sequencing Revealed LDLR and APOA5 Genes are linked with Myocardial Infarction1
Exome sequencing is one of the targeted sequencing method, its sequences only exome part of DNA. With only 1% length of the whole genome, the
exome contains about 85% of key mutation sites for gene–related diseases. The gene variants on the DNA coding regions, exons, can be detected and
the phenotype corresponding to each variant give information on potential gene–disease relationship. Following studies on how these variant genes are
regulated and expressed can be conducted to give a comprehensive understanding of the gene function.
Compared with whole–genome sequencing, exome sequencing has shorter sequencing time and lower cost2. We only need one day to prepare a exome
gene library with around 5GB data3. The exome sequencing allows the study to focus on only the suspected genes to the disease rather than all genes.
Genetic disease and cancer studies are intensively using this sequencing method currently4.
Like other next–generation sequencing methods, three general steps are required for exome sequencing: library creation, sequencing, and data
analysis. The size and quality of testing samples are screened before establishing the library. In library creating step, DNA molecules are fragmented
into a suitable size according to the machine and fused with platform–specific adapters. After size selection and free adapter

A Speech For The Next Generation Speech
A Speech for the Next Generation
Hello and thank you all for coming. On behalf of the Alzheimer's Association I am standing here before you to discuss something much bigger than
you and me, that is our future and how to better prepare those ahead of us. Alzheimer's disease is a real issue in today's senior members, all of
which fought and protested for the great world we stand in currently. As citizens and empowered individuals it is our duty to act properly towards all
serious issues, and let this be known we are not standing down for this one. In our past we have left out large pools of important, uneducated, and
diverse residents across the United States and further when day viewing our initial commercials. So let me say that with great pleasure and courage
that gap is going to be bridged today.
Previously, in our recent years the focus has been very broad. Originally our association had placed our attention towards whom we believed
represented the most need in terms of acknowledgment, support, and risk. This is demonstrated through our Alzheimer's Association videos in 2014,
2015 and 2016, recognizing viewers of predominately white racial status, current caregiving occupations, direct family, or seniors. The old
commercials are great, yet can be improved, enticing more than just a small specific crowd.
For example, during our "2017 Alzheimer's" commercial video we attracted the support of fellow white americans towards our mission by including the

called international boxing club (IBC). Harry's mission is to remove at–risk youths off the streets by giving them a place of comfort to exercise while
learning discipline and vocational skills through boxing. Growing up in the projects and the absence of Harry's father from home caused Harry to not

Stewart (2014) also proposes a shift from professional development to professional learning, an ongoing job–embedded, data–driven concept that
creates a learning culture; accordingly, ongoing professional learning is a necessary strategy with science knowledge changing at a faster rate than
textbooks are being replaced. While options such as job–embedded professional development is a possible solution to time constraints, additional
teacher requirements have the potential to become detrimental, limiting time to plan rigorous, engaging lessons and provide timely student feedback.
It is also possible that data derived in STEM classrooms is skewed due to lack of student effort and extraneous variables such as reading level,
prerequisite knowledge, and poor class attendance, limiting the overall affect of data–driven activities. Learning Forward (2015) is an organization

Character Analysis : Symbiosis From The Next Generation
An example from the series that comes to mind is the Season 1 episode "Symbiosis" from The Next Generation. In this episode, The Enterprise comes
across two planets, one where all the inhabitant are suffering from a plague and depend entirely on the medicine they receive through trade from the
other planet. As the episode progresses we come to find out that the natives of this planet are no longer suffering from the plague, but rather from
withdrawal, as the medicine they receive from the neighboring planet is actually a highly addictive narcotic. The ships doctor can easily come up with
a cure to aide the suffering population from their symptoms of withdrawal, but the captain refuses to intervene citing the prime directive. The planet of
drug dealers asks for help in repairing their ships in order doc continue trade with the suffering planet, and the captain again refuses to intervene, thus
ending the contact between the two planets. Although the episode has a happy ending of sorts with the drug trade coming to an end thanks to the
Prime Directive, it is still an unsatisfactory result as The Enterprise leaves the planet full of people suffering from withdrawal all while their doctor
could have easily helped alive their pain. In cases like these, a non–interference policy would ask us as moral agents to ignore the suffering of others
even when that suffering is easily preventable. It asks us to let go of our sympathy and empathy for our fellow man and therefore we cannot

Airtel's Position for the Next Generation
An Analysis of Gupti's Proposal for Bharti For Bharti Airtel to maintain its lead in wireless telecommunications in India, aggressive steps are proposed
involving the outsourcing outlined by Gupta. The proposal has both advantages and disadvantages, but in the final analysis it appears to be a step
worth taking because of the limited–risk infrastructural overhaul that it affords Airtel. This paper will assess the good points and bad points of the
proposal and show why, despite the bad, it is still a step that will help secure Airtel's position for the next generation. The problem facing Bharti Airtel
was the fact that it had to spend far too much time and money negotiating terms with vendors for equipment that was already outdated and useless the
minute it was fired up. The $20 million mail server is one example of expenditure waste (Martinex–Jerez, Narayana 2007:1). Bharti Airtel also needed
to revamp its IT sector or else risk losing ground to competitors who could boast a more stabilized infrastructure. To tackle both fronts continually was
problematic. Gupta desired a solution that could minimize negotiation times and investment risk. The answer was a plan to outsource much of the
family–business that was Bharti Airtel to IBM, which looked to control Airtel's telecom base for the next ten years. The good side of this plan was that
it limited "equipment investment risk" by transferring it to the vendors (Martinex–Jerez, Narayana 2007:10). Bharti Airtel was in a

The ability of LAN events to spark the growth of world–wide video game corporations is huge for not just the growth of Esports but the video game
industry as a whole. LAN events would continue to flourish when a new genre, known as First Person Shooters (FPS) emphasized the importance of
competition. A massively popular genre, FPS games focus on 'over–the–shoulder' gun focused action in which the player(s) must shoot down and
defeat opponents in order to win. The development of FPS games would later repay the favor to LAN events and eventually become the spectacle of
one of the first big events called "Red Annihilation" (Taylor). Red Annihilation had been a huge success in innovating video game competition and

The Next Generation Analysis
This week we jumped into the Renaissance. The ground work for understanding the time period was set with the initial discussion about the influences
of humanism, the Reformation, and the relative peace of the time. All of these aspects aided in allowing musicians and musical traditions mingle. In
the early 15th century there is a rise to prominence by the English, but also this mixing. The English had a liking for using thirds and sixths in their
music, something that came to be called contenance angloise . This mixed in with the French preference for rhythmic complexity and forms, and the
Italian florid melodic writing, to create this new international style. The composers associated with this time period are John Dunstable, Gilles
Binchois, and Guillaume Du Fay. In the "next generation" (1450–1490), there is a greater use of imitation, wider ranges, more equality among the
voices, minor prolations, and longer phrases. There was only one composer who we studied, Antoine Busnoys. In the "next, next generation" (1490–),
there is a breakaway from formes fixe , the structure of works being based on the text, and greater equality of voices to the point where each phrase
is composed with all the voices in mind. The composers associated with this time period are Jacob Obrecht, Heinrich Isaac, and Josquin de Prez. ...

Sacramento
Both Ernesto Galarza's "Barrio Boy" and Joan Didion's "Notes From a Native Daughter" write about Sacramento's past. Both authors talk about
Sacramento during two different time periods. Joan Didion talks about the mid–century and Ernesto Galarza talks about the early 20th century.
Although both author's perspective of Sacramento differs from era to era, there are differences in certain characteristics described by both authors.
Galarza's essay focuses on an immigrant point of view arriving into Sacramento versus Didion's experiences as a native decedent of Sacramento. Joan
Didion's Sacramento is a very different place compared to Ernesto Galarza's , for him it's an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the moment of its waking Sacramento lost...its character..." (Didion 173). In other words, Didion is pointing out how Sacramento is becoming more
immoral as urbanization and industrialization occur. However, what is most interesting is how Didion expresses Sacramento's loss of character
through her own experiences. For instance, Didion describes her wonderful memories basking in the Californian sun, rivers, fields and valleys as a
child, showcasing the real natural Sacramento. However, later on as a n adult when she returns to Sacramento, Didion finds that the Sacramento she
has been seeking is no longer there, as a result of industrial development: It is hard to find California now, unsettling to wonder how much of it was
merely imagined or improvised; melancholy to realize how much of anyone's memory no true memory at all...I have an indelibly vivid 'memory', for
example, of how Prohibition affected the hop growers around Sacramento... (Didion 57)
In the excerpt above Didion expresses how she was unable to reconnect with the California she grew up with because of all the changes it has suffered.
She also mentions prohibition, which by definition is a reform movement that outlawed drinking because it's effects on the home, in order to really
capture how increasing industrialization led to the gradual loss of the traditional Californian way of life. She uses prohibition as an example to show
how people's ideas are shifting with the introduction of urbanization;

Why Are You Upsetting The Next Generation?
Most students claim that homework is very frustrating. In fact, 99% of students who have homework, think that it is much too stressful. We kids
should be able to spend time with their family, instead of doing work already assigned and completed in class. No elementary student should have
homework. It is not shown to be a benefit, but rather a stressor and time consumer. Why are you upsetting the next generation?
We should not even be doing these stressful habits at our age. Most parents say that elementary students should not have to go through doinghomework
every night. Besides, we just learned it in school, so why would we have to go through the dreaded duty all over again just to study the topic.

The Network And The Internet / External Network
As you can see in the diagram a Duel–Homed Gateway Host is placed between the internal network and the internet/ external network. A duel–homed
host can router packets between the two networks that are connected, but usually this function is disabled making it so neither of the two networks can
not communicate with each other, but can communicate with the duel–homed host. However, the duel–homed host can see network traffic that goes
across both internal and external network. A dual–homed host can provide services only by proxying them, or by having users log into the dual–homed
host directly (O'Reilly Building Firewalls [10]). Duel–homed Firewall architectures is used when traffic to the internet is small and it is not business
critical. Also it is used when the network being protected does not contain extremely valuable data. Another firewall architecture that is used in today's
networks is the Screened Host Architecture. It is also called the Screen Host Gateway. A screened host architecture provides services from a host that 's
attached to only the internal network, using a separate router (O'Reilly Building Firewalls). The primary Security feature that is provided with this
architecture is packet filtering which is done by the screening routers used. This type of architecture uses a screening router (like in a single–box host),
but also uses something called a "bastion host" (O'Reilly Building Firewalls). The bastion host is going to sit on the internal network and

Summary: Debilitating The Next Generation
Debilitating the Next Generation Each hour costs my generation 120 million dollars. This amount represents the increasing American debt that the
aspiring generation will need to repay with interest. Current leaders consistently borrow money only to impair their offspring– the collegiate
generation. Selfish politicians favor budgets that spend more than the government receives. A mounting Americandebt threatens the success of the
current generation of college and high school scholars, because the deficit is forcefully mortgaging away their futures. The American debt finds its
origins through faulty Keynesian economic programs and unsuitably chosen politicians– politicians often have no understanding of economics beyond
a high school class. John Maynard Keynes was the leading economist in the early 20th Century who asserted that nations periodically partake in deficit
spending to invest and help create future surpluses. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prospective politicians of the aspiring generation must recognize that budgeting changes must occur. A successful and conservative economic plan with
increased revenue and lowered spending must be created to effectively address the expansive American debt. Among other possible solutions, the
government must initiate a more effective tax plan. An increasing graduated tax would effectively provide for the additional revenue. A large
percentage of the current debt arises from expansive military spending. Currently, the United States of America currently has a military budget more
expensive than the next 34 countries' budgets combined (Macias). Finally, America must properly invest in its technology and human capital to help its
future and not for short–term gains. The American people must be made to understand the danger of a ruthless and wasteful American budget and it is
the duty of the well informed to educate society on the impending

The Death Of A Great Day By Jimmy Smalls
Jimmy Smalls was having a great day. However, that "great day" ended almost immediately and rather abruptly. Jimmy had recently received a
promotion to Assistant Manager of the UniTech Corporation. Sadly, this promotion lasted for a grand total of a week. But his all
–new job wasn't the
only thing falling apart. On the second evening of his job, Jimmy opened his door to find basically everything in his small but cozy home a mess.
Furniture was strewn across the ground, lamps were dismantled, and his television had a spider–web crack coursing through its middle. But perhaps the
most horrific sight was of his luscious red carpet mangled and twisted as if a lawnmower was run over it. The gold lining had frayed to the metal bits

His hair flew around, whipping from side to side. Jimmy's plan was beginning to form.
"What if there was a way to end variation and make everything the same?" he asked Kevin. "Would you work with me to help eliminate the majority
of problems in the world?"
Kevin didn't really see the point of saying no, but he wouldn't have said it if there was an option. Why not make the world a better place.
They waited for a day and stocked up on supplies.
"Kevin, I need you to steal that 3D Printer from your company," Jimmy told him.
"What? Why?" Kevin agreed with Jimmy's plan, but he didn't see why stealing was necessary.
Jimmy tried to phrase his next answer in a way that Kevin could understand."We need that printer to create the community. It's the only way we can
make it".
Finally, Jimmy and Kevin packed their bags and headed to California. They got to work and ended up building the infrastructure of the community.
Next were the citizens. Each citizen would be made from slightly varying presets –– enough to distinguish, but not to discriminate. Their haircut would
convey the same style, and everyone would wear the same clothes.
But one person was special; his name was Jason. He'd be the first Receiver of the community. He would hold onto all of the memories Jimmy would
transfer to him and would host the only emotional perspective in the community; good and bad, and he would need to pass them onto the next
generation secretly. Jason was average–sized – not too tall

Summary: Equated To A Disruptive Company
What Christensen means is that using the words "disruptive innovation" in a non–jargon way is very difficult, as even Uber, the company most pointed
to by many as the epitome of a disruptive company cannot even be defined as disruptive. Perhaps he is implying that the misuse of certain words can
be equated to jargon, such as when people in everyday conversation refer to Uber as a "disruptive" company. Because of this, Christensen believes that
the mantra that commands: "Disrupt or be disrupted" can be very misleading. He advises corporate leaders of incumbent companies to not overreact to
this mantra by trying to solve the problem before it is one. Christensen implies that overuse of this phrase requires incumbent businesses to be extra

Gee goes even further with his hypothesis by describing the phenomenon of companies creating a "Discourse," which is essentially "creating goals,

The Benefits Of Next Generation Youth
Introduction Education is important for our future. From the time children reach pre–kindergarten age to even adulthood, they are constantly learning
new things. Without education, we would only learn through exploration. Exploration is wonderful, but having a structured setting and learning a
variety of topics helps us to become well rounded individuals. In today's school systems, children come from all walks of life. Some have very
involved parents, some come from poverty, some come from wealthy families, and some come from families that speak a foreign language at home.
With some students, stability at home is an issue. These students may face challenges in school that make it hard for them to excel like other students.
Many schools offer programs for all students, based on their needs. These programs strive for motivation and success, they explore each child's
learning style, and they strive for diversity. Programs offered by the school are a wonderful way to help those students who may not receive what they
need at home and they also help students who may have stability at home, but need a boost in other areas. Ultimately, there's a program for every
student, no matter what their situation is.
Next Generation Youth Next Generation Youth is an after

disorders, live in poverty, lack social skills, have language barriers, etc. The students and teachers call it "the clubhouse." The

Effects Of Technology On The Next Generation
The Next Generation From computers filling whole rooms to cellphones fitting in the palm of our hands, technology has come a long way. With the
advancements that have been made we are able to dive into a whole new world of possibilities like never before. We are all able to communicate with
someone miles away in an instant, as well as obtain vast amounts of countless information for any purpose on a whim. Technology has helped this
generation develop. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the next. With technology being integrated in our society more than ever before,
young children are being exposed to technology at such a young age that it is becoming detrimental to their wellbeing. With there being various
applications and programs designed for children to play and learn from parents would think that technology is vital for their upbringing, but they could
not be more misinformed. According to the article "The Influence of Young Children's Use of Technology on Their Learning: A Review" by member
of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the National Taitung University, Ching–Ting Hsin and fellow colleagues Ming–Chaun Li and Chin
Chung Tsai from the Nation Taiwan University, the programs are causing some negative effects on children. In their research they have come to
"believe that the use of technologies may impede these children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development" from prolonged use (Hsin 1).

There was the captain, Janeway, Kes and Seven of Nine. This series brought women into leadership roles. The progression of women in Star Trek
has been appropriately timed and has even pushed a little bit past the time. Even though Uhura basically played the role of a secretary her role still
pushed the envelope for the time because of her race. She was a black actress during or right after the civil rights movement. She even thought of
quitting the role because she felt that she wasn't used enough for her role in the series. However, after Martin Luther King, Jr. talked to her and told
her how important it would be for her to stay on the show, she did. Women in Star Trek have progressed from a secretary type, to a doctor and
counselor, to the second in command and eventually the first in command or the captain. Their progress allows them to be more influential.
Let's talk more specifically about the Next Generation series. The Original series showed the four starring male roles to provide everything for the

It is a theft that under ethical government officials can be used to help "the least of these." I cannot make another man by brute force pay his taxes
nor should he have to. From the idealistic standpoint people would give enough or more than they already do to help the "least of these."
However as a Christian I hold the belief that we all fall short of the glory of God and that we are imperfect and make rational decisions at the
margin that best benefit ourselves. In other words we are good people, but we are selfish people. Under the authority of God I believe that our own
shortcomings are the reason that taxes need be levied. The current way of levying taxes is all wrong and the system needs reform or complete

Next Generation Science Standards
The earth is a web of complex interdependent relationships in ecosystems. For example, in order for plants to survive, they rely heavily on other parts
of their environment for their energy and food sources. They also rely on the wind, water, and animals to help disperse their seeds so that they can
grow in many different areas. All of this occurs in the ecosystems and habitats that are here on earth. Within each habitat, there is a great diversity of
the species of plants and animals that live there. At a young age, children become curious about how all of these things occur. The Next Generation
Science Standards have compiled this information into three performance expectations for second graders. The first expectation, 2–LS2–1, is that they
must "Plan and conduct an investigation to determine if plants need sunlight and water to grow" (NGSS). The second is 2–LS2–2 which states that
students must "Develop a simple model that mimics the function of an animal in dispersing seeds or pollinating plants" (NGSS). And the final one is
2–LS4–1, which states that students must "Make observations of plants and animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats" (NGSS).
Educators of these students must familiarize themselves with the performance expectations and all of the concepts that go... Show more content on

That means, if people are unable to find other energy resource to replace fossil fuel, human society will all go back to stone age. The good news is
there are several alternatives to save us from this inconvenient disaster. So what are they?
The answer is, renewable energy. Renewable energy generally refers to a variety of inexhaustible energy, in other words, renewable energy can
never be depleted. The energy comes from a source that will be constantly renewed such as the sun, wind, water, or the earth's core. As long as the
earth is still intact, these resource which provides energy will always exist. With the energy crisis, people began to focus on the development of
renewable energy resources. There are a lot of renewable energies such as solar energy, biomass, wave energy, wind power etc. Each type of renewable
energies have their pros and cons, how ever, they are the hope towards solving the energy crisis.
Solar Energy are gathered from the sun and it can be used in modern power generation. The formation of the Earth's living organisms are primarily
based on the sun to provide heat and light for them to survive. Since ancient times human beings learnt how to use the sun to dried items, such as dried
fish etc. Now, solar energy are collected from Photovoltaic modules or in other words, solar panels. Electricity are generated with the Photovoltaic
effect, which converts sunlight into electrical energy.

The Next Generation Of Teenagers In The 1960's
As the decades change so do the teens. Teenagers from the 1960's won't exactly have the same ways of thinking or ways of speaking. The way of
life back then was completely different and that has an impact on teens today. Old ways are thrown out and newer ones are brought in, attitudes
change. Advance technology changes the way we interact with others compared to the 1960's. The health concerns may or may not be the same
as the health concerns in the year 2014. With teens changing constantly, how will the next generation of teens be like? SEX/ RELATIONSHIPS:
The 1960 style of dating was very proper compared to now. A guy calls you or asks you in person on a date and back then for a girl meant him

They would hang out at ice skating rinks or maybe go to the movies. If it is a dinner date the guy wills open doors for the girl, help her with her
coat, pull out her chair and pay for dinner. We still do these activities in the year 2014 but some can argue that it's not as romantic. Not a lot of things
were done in the "proper "way. For instance now since we have more technology than they did back then, they flirt with the girl through social... Show

As my eighth birthday was approaching, I knew exactly what I wanted: A personal computer. I didn't know nearly all of the functionality of such an
apparatus at the time; in fact, my young mind probably thought of scribbling rabbits on Microsoft Paint as its primary reason for existence. As I grew
up, I figured out the elusive device was not only analogous with entertainment, but it somehow also served to assist my parents at their jobs. To the
juvenile version of me, this was fascinating – somehow, I wanted to traverse the vistas of possibilities that this technology offered. Even today, as I
alternate between Skype calls and schoolwork on my laptop, I am still beguiled by the capabilities of computers. If technology could be this
awe–inspiring, why couldn't even I learn about its uses and utilize it for the benefit of the greater good? I knew from day one that I wanted to help
people, but being able to culminate this desire with my own curiosity of the potential of computer science has influenced my academic choices and will
continue to do so when I attend college. As I walked into my Web Technology class eager to build on my rudimentary knowledge of computers and
coding, I was sorely disappointed as the class seemed to be a bird course to most of the students and the teacher decided to treat it as such. Rather

Next Generation Left

  • 1. Next Generation Left I have always been interested in politics and how they work. Politics are interesting to me because I find it as a possible area I could work in. Mostly my parents and grandparents have influenced my view on government. Also, a few of my friends' parents have influenced my views on government because they have stressed their opinions to me and I mostly agree with those opinions. Before this unit, I was pretty unsure of where I resided politically and who I wanted to vote for. On the political spectrum, I am a "next generation left". One reason I am a next generation left is because I agree with the key beliefs of a "next generation left." Another reason I believe I am a "next generation left" is because the policies that next generation lefts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One reason is because I have taken multiple quizzes and every time the results come out differently. Another reason is because I share beliefs of both parties and am undecided on certain issues. The issues include favoring world peace, the US should be more dominant in trade and that the government should support the common man. An issue that I am undecided about is the purpose of our government and I go back and forth on this issue. If I had to vote for president, I would vote for Hillary Clinton for multiple reasons. One reason is because I like her views on the environment and energy because I agree that we need to decrease pollution and we need to find a better energy source. I also like Clinton's view on national security because she wants to do more in depth background checks. Some of the down sides of Clinton is that her views on jobs and taxes don't really make sense to me. Overall, I think she is the better candidate for the four and I would vote for her. Although I feel very strongly on some of the issues I wrote about, I'm sure my view on most of these issues and parties will soon change as I grow up. Politics are ever changing, meaning people's views of the government will also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Global Leadership : The Next Generation Of Global Leaders As Millennials continue to grow and dominate the workplace, leaders must identify the factors that will create the next generation of global leaders and how to effectively tap into the vast reservoirs of technological knowledge Millennials bring to the table. This speech will outline the relationship of cause and effect as it relates Millennials, the next generation of global leaders. Keywords: Leader, Organizational Leadership, Millennials, Global Leadership Introduction Global leadership is contingent upon an organization's ability to compete in the global marketplace using goods, services, technology and human capital. It is the ability to create tangible strategies and to turn them into reality (Holloway, 2009). Therefore, as global ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to recent research, Millennials (75.5 million) have edged out the Baby Boomers (74.9 million), who are retiring, as the fastest growing group in the United States, with Generation X lagging behind (66 million) (Fry, 2016). By the year 2020, Millennials will account for half of the workforce and their impact on the economic is contingent upon how the economy is doing at that time (Shin, 2015). The Education Testing Service found although Millennials are receiving more education than any other generational group, they may lose their competitive edge against international peers (Twaronite, 2015). The Issue When it comes to Millennials, there is nothing that screams "business as usual." Consequently, savvy leaders who want to remain successful in the global business arena, must concede their current method of attracting, engaging, developing and retaining Millennials as future global leaders is ineffective. Therefore, today's leaders must develop a more compelling strategy to entice Millennials into leadership. Failure to use strategic foresight to recognize trends regarding future organizational trends and take timely actions to change their tried and true, old school philosophy regarding developing and retaining talented employees will result in losing the competitive edge, which is driven by technology–laden Millennial's who are poised to innovation. Supporting Evidence My position is global leaders can access the talents and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The video was meant to give a taste of American television to my young eyes. After watching two episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation", I started a new life that was driven by technology. Starting by reading old computer programming books even before we had a computer in our house, I was driven to explore a new world of computers by learning the machines. I used my computer skills to help other people in part to share my enthusiasm on the positive force technology can bring to our society. The Next Generation of Storytelling Essay Storytelling has been mankind's most broad and universal occupation since its conception and has come a long way, developing new techniques and expanding in multiple domains. It can be considered an ancient form of art because it is crucial for human expression. Every culture has made a contribution to the narration of stories in various fields, such as, entertainment, literature, education, the media and so forth, with the purpose of conveying an important message, or purely to entertain. One entertainment medium which has been disregarded over the course of the years is the video games industry. A famous game that followed a clear and simple pattern was Mario, where the player was given the task of searching for the princess in successively empty castles. Another example of an early game is Space Invaders, where the goal of the game was to destroy multiple rows of pixelated aliens. Because storytelling techniques were primitive in the early years, the player was not rewarded with cutscenes that drove the plot forward; instead he got points that were accumulated a total score. However, with the passing of time, technology and the gaming audience evolved and matured, creating new opportunities for the medium to expand its horizons and develop new storytelling techniques. Following the significant evolutions in technology, video games have adopted these advancements and continued to become more elaborate, especially with the use of motion capture, which allows technicians to capture and record the live performance of actors that are applied to the 3D models of the virtual character. This is only one element that makes the products of this medium so appealing and immersive for the player. These technological advancements have given to the developers of video games the opportunity to construct stories and characters which are more believable and complex, bringing about a narrative revolution. The United States aerospace and aviation industry has developed into a crucial element of the global infrastructure. Each airplane will have a special transponder that transmits and receives precise information about the time at which it and others will cross key points along their route. Additionally, pilots and air traffic managers on the ground will have the same precise information, transmitted via data communications, which creates a much faster process of getting the planes in and out of the airports. This also helps the air traffic control managers by being able to allow the airplanes closer to each other with out harming them. These controllers will not have to use as much two–way communication neither because the information will automatically be transmitted via data communications. Therefore, the communication frequencies will be less busy and less stressful on the air traffic controllers. Which creates a much faster process of getting the planes in and out of airports. Once the planes have departed from their airport, the transponders along with the new GPS based technology that NextGen has included into the "Implementation Plan" may now choose more direct paths instead of using old traditional Navaid technology, such as Victor Airways to travel. With GPS technology as part of the new system they are hoping it will cut down on the noise level of communication frequencies as well. Pilots will use GPS based ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Teen Television Dram The Next Generation, By The Bell And... Every television show falls into one genre or another. Whether its an Action, Comedy, Drama, Adventure show, they all fall into the category of different types of television genres. The concept of a genre can be used in "rhetoric, literary theory, media theory and more recently linguistics, to refer to a distinctive type of 'text'" (Chandler, 1). Thus, every aspect of television exhibits a reliance on genre in which becomes a principal factor of framing texts which support comprehension. Throughout this essay, I will focus specifically on the genre of Teen TV Drama using the television show Degrassi: The Next Generation, and comparing it to two other programs such as Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills of 90210. Presently, there are many iconic television shows that draw on the generic identity of teen drama for instance, "Degrassi: The Next Generation." Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood's, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Degrassi is known to be a very popular television show that first started in the 1980's. It is a franchise of five television shows that focus on the lives of young teenage students. Some of Degrassi franchise includes the kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi junior high, and Degrassi classic. However, in 2001, there was a new addition of Degrassi that was premiered, Degrassi: The next generation. During its eight seasons, the viewers kept up with numerous different regular teenagers who go to school at Degrassi High school and learn to juggle school while being able to maintain a social life and basically just trying to fit in and finding their place in the world. Looking back to these three popular shows, we are able to discuss the central genre of teen drama. However, when examining the three teen drama television shows, there are many focal points that must be considered. As chandler mentioned before, genre is known to be a distinctive type of "text." However, there are a number of things that must be considered when analyzing a genre. Not only do we study the text, but also the creators and producers of the text, the effect the text has ... • 7. Next Generation Contribution Contributions to the Next Generations of Leaders To be a leader in the 21st century is no small feat as we live in an age of technology, political uncertainty, and consistent changes and challenges. Leaders have to be resilient and adaptable. John Maxwell points out many characteristics of a successful leader in the book, "Developing the Leaders Around You, How to Help Others Reach Their Full Potential." Reading chapter ten begs the question, what will be my contribution to the next generation of leaders? Before speaking on my contributions, it is important to identify some characteristics of a leader which I embody. In Llopis (2002), the author outlines six characteristics that define the 21st century. These six are, "see opportunity in everything, anticipate the unexpected, strive for excellence, innovation comes second nature, share momentum with others, and lead to leave a legacy" (Llopis, 2002). Throughout my tenure, I have come to realize that I embody these six characteristics in my daily activities. Although all the characteristics build on one another, lead to leave a legacy particularly holds importance to me. As Llopis (2002) states, "Success comes most to those surrounded by people who want their success to continue." To be a successful leader, one has to develop those around them which will enhance the leader's success. This can be enhanced by demonstrating Maxwell's (1995) abilities in leadership including expressing belief in those who you lead, empowering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Picard's Star Trek: The Next Generation I am not a big fan of Star Trek so, when I told my husband I needed to watch Star Trek: The Next Generation for my discussion board assignment he was ready and willing to watch it with me. I am just not a Syfy person. I honestly thought the plot would be discussing a robot like R2D2 not human like. In the Synopsis Data defines himself as "an automaton made to resemble a human being" (Synopsis). My first thought after watching the show was, could artificial intelligence really have the same feelings as a human does. Should they have the same rights, even though man designed them? This quote highlights that Ronda Rousey is trying to make a positive influence on the next generation to inspire them to achieve their dreams. Gender equality is a major issue that occurs in today's society and is an issue that needs to be dealt with, other wise women will constantly feel second best and underneath the male dominance that society has created. An example of women in sport who does not believe this argument to be true and does not receive the correct payments for her job in sports is seen in the professional female basketball player Elena Delle Donne. Elana is currently ranked number one in the nation in her free throw percentage but not just for women but for males also. "Elana has a higher free throw than most professional NBA players, but yet she still only earns Вј of what males in this nation get paid for playing the same sport" (sports reference LLC.). This is unfair as she puts in the same amount of work as males and still doesn't receive the treatment she deserves. Another example of this poor treatment is seen in the USA women's soccer team. Five members of the U.S. women 's national soccer team including; "Hope Solo, Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan have filed a wage–discrimination action against the U.S. Soccer Federation with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. • 10. Next Generation Sequencing Of Human Diseases Topic Four: Next–generation Sequencing in Human Diseases Exome Sequencing Revealed LDLR and APOA5 Genes are linked with Myocardial Infarction1 Exome sequencing is one of the targeted sequencing method, its sequences only exome part of DNA. With only 1% length of the whole genome, the exome contains about 85% of key mutation sites for gene–related diseases. The gene variants on the DNA coding regions, exons, can be detected and the phenotype corresponding to each variant give information on potential gene–disease relationship. Following studies on how these variant genes are regulated and expressed can be conducted to give a comprehensive understanding of the gene function. Compared with whole–genome sequencing, exome sequencing has shorter sequencing time and lower cost2. We only need one day to prepare a exome gene library with around 5GB data3. The exome sequencing allows the study to focus on only the suspected genes to the disease rather than all genes. Genetic disease and cancer studies are intensively using this sequencing method currently4. Like other next–generation sequencing methods, three general steps are required for exome sequencing: library creation, sequencing, and data analysis. The size and quality of testing samples are screened before establishing the library. In library creating step, DNA molecules are fragmented into a suitable size according to the machine and fused with platform–specific adapters. After size selection and free adapter ... • 11. A Speech For The Next Generation Speech A Speech for the Next Generation Hello and thank you all for coming. On behalf of the Alzheimer's Association I am standing here before you to discuss something much bigger than you and me, that is our future and how to better prepare those ahead of us. Alzheimer's disease is a real issue in today's senior members, all of which fought and protested for the great world we stand in currently. As citizens and empowered individuals it is our duty to act properly towards all serious issues, and let this be known we are not standing down for this one. In our past we have left out large pools of important, uneducated, and diverse residents across the United States and further when day viewing our initial commercials. So let me say that with great pleasure and courage that gap is going to be bridged today. Previously, in our recent years the focus has been very broad. Originally our association had placed our attention towards whom we believed represented the most need in terms of acknowledgment, support, and risk. This is demonstrated through our Alzheimer's Association videos in 2014, 2015 and 2016, recognizing viewers of predominately white racial status, current caregiving occupations, direct family, or seniors. The old commercials are great, yet can be improved, enticing more than just a small specific crowd. For example, during our "2017 Alzheimer's" commercial video we attracted the support of fellow white americans towards our mission by including the use of multiple ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Harry's mission is to remove at–risk youths off the streets by giving them a place of comfort to exercise while learning discipline and vocational skills through boxing. Bible club gave socks, towels, food, clothes to the less advantageous, participated in a Christmas shoebox toy drive, and helped any student in need. We believe in supporting one another by building a strong relationship that will lead us all to success. Moreover, in the three years of attending GEMS (Girls Educated and Motivated for Success), an all–girls club, we assist our community by helping other young ladies, conducting and volunteering at other cancer walks, picking up trash and painting the school, like SHAPE. We are GEMS sisters, together we build self–confidence and motivate each other to make a difference. SHAPE focuses on cleaning and keeping the environment healthy. In this episode, The Enterprise comes across two planets, one where all the inhabitant are suffering from a plague and depend entirely on the medicine they receive through trade from the other planet. As the episode progresses we come to find out that the natives of this planet are no longer suffering from the plague, but rather from withdrawal, as the medicine they receive from the neighboring planet is actually a highly addictive narcotic. The ships doctor can easily come up with a cure to aide the suffering population from their symptoms of withdrawal, but the captain refuses to intervene citing the prime directive. The planet of drug dealers asks for help in repairing their ships in order doc continue trade with the suffering planet, and the captain again refuses to intervene, thus ending the contact between the two planets. Although the episode has a happy ending of sorts with the drug trade coming to an end thanks to the Prime Directive, it is still an unsatisfactory result as The Enterprise leaves the planet full of people suffering from withdrawal all while their doctor could have easily helped alive their pain. Airtel's Position for the Next Generation An Analysis of Gupti's Proposal for Bharti For Bharti Airtel to maintain its lead in wireless telecommunications in India, aggressive steps are proposed involving the outsourcing outlined by Gupta. The proposal has both advantages and disadvantages, but in the final analysis it appears to be a step worth taking because of the limited–risk infrastructural overhaul that it affords Airtel. This paper will assess the good points and bad points of the proposal and show why, despite the bad, it is still a step that will help secure Airtel's position for the next generation. The problem facing Bharti Airtel was the fact that it had to spend far too much time and money negotiating terms with vendors for equipment that was already outdated and useless the minute it was fired up. The $20 million mail server is one example of expenditure waste (Martinex–Jerez, Narayana 2007:1). Bharti Airtel also needed to revamp its IT sector or else risk losing ground to competitors who could boast a more stabilized infrastructure. To tackle both fronts continually was problematic. Gupta desired a solution that could minimize negotiation times and investment risk. The answer was a plan to outsource much of the family–business that was Bharti Airtel to IBM, which looked to control Airtel's telecom base for the next ten years. The good side of this plan was that it limited "equipment investment risk" by transferring it to the vendors (Martinex–Jerez, Narayana 2007:10). Bharti Airtel was in a ... The ground work for understanding the time period was set with the initial discussion about the influences of humanism, the Reformation, and the relative peace of the time. All of these aspects aided in allowing musicians and musical traditions mingle. In the early 15th century there is a rise to prominence by the English, but also this mixing. The English had a liking for using thirds and sixths in their music, something that came to be called contenance angloise . This mixed in with the French preference for rhythmic complexity and forms, and the Italian florid melodic writing, to create this new international style. The composers associated with this time period are John Dunstable, Gilles Binchois, and Guillaume Du Fay. The American debt finds its origins through faulty Keynesian economic programs and unsuitably chosen politicians– politicians often have no understanding of economics beyond a high school class. From the time children reach pre–kindergarten age to even adulthood, they are constantly learning new things. Without education, we would only learn through exploration. Exploration is wonderful, but having a structured setting and learning a variety of topics helps us to become well rounded individuals. In today's school systems, children come from all walks of life. Some have very involved parents, some come from poverty, some come from wealthy families, and some come from families that speak a foreign language at home. With some students, stability at home is an issue. These students may face challenges in school that make it hard for them to excel like other students. Many schools offer programs for all students, based on their needs. These programs strive for motivation and success, they explore each child's learning style, and they strive for diversity. Programs offered by the school are a wonderful way to help those students who may not receive what they need at home and they also help students who may have stability at home, but need a boost in other areas. • 34. Gender Roles In Star Trek Next Generation Essay In 1966 a series called "Star Trek" was created. It's creator, Gene Roddenberry, did not create the show to be a science fiction series. The series was much deeper than that. It wasn't just about discovering new planets and civilizations. It was about controversial issues. Even though the series' take place in the 23rd and 24th century the issues struck with the times and related current issues. Through each series, The Original, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager, there has been progression with the times and the issues. The issues that surround the episodes of Star Trek include race, religion, sexuality, the depiction of science and gender roles. The central focus being talked about in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There was the captain, Janeway, Kes and Seven of Nine. This series brought women into leadership roles. The progression of women in Star Trek has been appropriately timed and has even pushed a little bit past the time. Even though Uhura basically played the role of a secretary her role still pushed the envelope for the time because of her race. She was a black actress during or right after the civil rights movement. She even thought of quitting the role because she felt that she wasn't used enough for her role in the series. However, after Martin Luther King, Jr. talked to her and told her how important it would be for her to stay on the show, she did. Women in Star Trek have progressed from a secretary type, to a doctor and counselor, to the second in command and eventually the first in command or the captain. Their progress allows them to be more influential. Let's talk more specifically about the Next Generation series. The Original series showed the four starring male roles to provide everything for the crew. This is not the case in Next Generation. Next Generation is more like a family with a father, a mother and children. But who were the biggest members of the family? There are four characters, which give the presence of a family on Next Generation. First, you have the father. This is actually quite simple. You haveCaptain Picard who plays the father. He is much older than any of the other crew seen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Demoracy's Next Generation: An Analysis On June 26, 2016, as I ran the campus of the University of Georgia on my nightly run I changed up my usual course and took some laps around the journalism building. Now I'm not a journalism student by any means. In fact I spend most of my time in Boyd Graduate Research Studies deeply engrossed in calculus, however; tonight I wanted a different scenery. The new scenery led me to the north entrance of the journalism building at the corner of Baldwin and Sanford. After straining up the gradual slope called Sanford Drive, I stopped to do lunges in the front lawn of the journalism building. As I made my way across the field I read the three words above the door, "Demoracy's Next Generation." Those three words resonated with me very strongly as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is a theft that under ethical government officials can be used to help "the least of these." I cannot make another man by brute force pay his taxes nor should he have to. From the idealistic standpoint people would give enough or more than they already do to help the "least of these." However as a Christian I hold the belief that we all fall short of the glory of God and that we are imperfect and make rational decisions at the margin that best benefit ourselves. In other words we are good people, but we are selfish people. Under the authority of God I believe that our own shortcomings are the reason that taxes need be levied. The current way of levying taxes is all wrong and the system needs reform or complete overhaul, but I'm not addressing the systems efficacy but, rather the idea of the system. Returning to book of Matthew in 25:40 "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Some closing question to ask yourself is: How far does your faith intersect with your political ideology? Are we at the point with ourselves as an individual that we would willing give generously in consecutive intervals to provide lasting support for the least of these?(widows, orphans, elderly, disabled, etc.) Can society and individuals get to a point where taxation will not be necessary because private philanthropy will be substantial enough to provide ... • 36. Next Generation Science Standards The earth is a web of complex interdependent relationships in ecosystems. For example, in order for plants to survive, they rely heavily on other parts of their environment for their energy and food sources. They also rely on the wind, water, and animals to help disperse their seeds so that they can grow in many different areas. All of this occurs in the ecosystems and habitats that are here on earth. Within each habitat, there is a great diversity of the species of plants and animals that live there. At a young age, children become curious about how all of these things occur. The Next Generation Science Standards have compiled this information into three performance expectations for second graders. The first expectation, 2–LS2–1, is that they must "Plan and conduct an investigation to determine if plants need sunlight and water to grow" (NGSS). The second is 2–LS2–2 which states that students must "Develop a simple model that mimics the function of an animal in dispersing seeds or pollinating plants" (NGSS). And the final one is 2–LS4–1, which states that students must "Make observations of plants and animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats" (NGSS). Educators of these students must familiarize themselves with the performance expectations and all of the concepts that go... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The truth is that animal pollinators do not intentionally pollinate plants. Pollination is is the transfer of pollen from the male part of a flower, called stamen, to the female part of the flower, called the pistil (Pollination, 2015). For example, bees pollinate flower by collecting drinking the nectar from the plant, and in doing so, they collect the pollen that attaches to them. When the fly to another flower to do the same thing, the pollen transfers. The same thing happens, to a certain extent, with animal pollinators such as hummingbirds, butterflies, and wasps ... • 38. Educational Psychology : Next Generation Essay Introduction Tomorrow's leaders are sitting in desks, roaming the halls, and hanging out with friends. They are being influenced by the people around them. Their social development today impacts their roles in society tomorrow. Prevention clubhouses are working to target at risk youth and empower them to make a difference. One of these dedicated facilities is located in Northeast Georgia. Next Generation Prevention Clubhouse is impacting adolescents through positive social development. Next Generation also uses teaching styles that are student driven. I was fortunate enough to get to observe how this takes place and its relation to educational psychology. Next Generation Youth Clubhouse Next Generation is one of three youth clubhouses in Georgia. The clubhouse targets 6th to 12th grade students in Dawson County. The afterschool program focuses on positive youth development. This is done through projects in STEaM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) fields, life skills activities, and promoting community service. Next Generation is building up new leaders. I observed activities and lessons done at the clubhouse for my 20 hours of field experience. Most students were between sixth and 10th grade. There was a mix of boys and girls attending the clubhouse. Attendance is completely optional though encouraged for students who meet program requirements. The energy comes from a source that will be constantly renewed such as the sun, wind, water, or the earth's core. As long as the earth is still intact, these resource which provides energy will always exist. With the energy crisis, people began to focus on the development of renewable energy resources. There are a lot of renewable energies such as solar energy, biomass, wave energy, wind power etc. Each type of renewable energies have their pros and cons, how ever, they are the hope towards solving the energy crisis. Solar Energy are gathered from the sun and it can be used in modern power generation. The formation of the Earth's living organisms are primarily based on the sun to provide heat and light for them to survive. Since ancient times human beings learnt how to use the sun to dried items, such as dried fish etc. Now, solar energy are collected from Photovoltaic modules or in other words, solar panels. Electricity are generated with the Photovoltaic effect, which converts sunlight into electrical energy. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. The Next Generation Of Teenagers In The 1960's As the decades change so do the teens. Teenagers from the 1960's won't exactly have the same ways of thinking or ways of speaking. The way of life back then was completely different and that has an impact on teens today. Old ways are thrown out and newer ones are brought in, attitudes change. Advance technology changes the way we interact with others compared to the 1960's. The health concerns may or may not be the same as the health concerns in the year 2014. With teens changing constantly, how will the next generation of teens be like? SEX/ RELATIONSHIPS: The 1960 style of dating was very proper compared to now. A guy calls you or asks you in person on a date and back then for a girl meant him picking you up, hanging out with him, walking you home and maybe giving you a kiss goodnight. Lots of first dates started off as a group dates. They would hang out at ice skating rinks or maybe go to the movies. If it is a dinner date the guy wills open doors for the girl, help her with her coat, pull out her chair and pay for dinner. We still do these activities in the year 2014 but some can argue that it's not as romantic. Not a lot of things were done in the "proper "way. • 41. Generation Next and Lifetime Goals Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extra–curricular activities might help you achieve your goals. Generation Next As my eighth birthday was approaching, I knew exactly what I wanted: A personal computer. I didn't know nearly all of the functionality of such an apparatus at the time; in fact, my young mind probably thought of scribbling rabbits on Microsoft Paint as its primary reason for existence. As I grew up, I figured out the elusive device was not only analogous with entertainment, but it somehow also served to assist my parents at their jobs. To the juvenile version of me, this was fascinating – somehow, I wanted to traverse the vistas of possibilities that this technology offered. Even today, as I alternate between Skype calls and schoolwork on my laptop, I am still beguiled by the capabilities of computers. If technology could be this awe–inspiring, why couldn't even I learn about its uses and utilize it for the benefit of the greater good? I knew from day one that I wanted to help people, but being able to culminate this desire with my own curiosity of the potential of computer science has influenced my academic choices and will continue to do so when I attend college. As I walked into my Web Technology class eager to build on my rudimentary knowledge of computers and coding, I was sorely disappointed as the class seemed to be a bird course to most of the students and the teacher decided to treat it as such.
