2. Shutter Speed
• Shutter speed is used to control how the
picture turns out the use of slow shutter
speed would produce a blurred effect as it
is capturing the image whilst it is still
moving for example if you took a picture
of a car moving it would leave a trail of
lights
• Fast shutter speed is used to capture a
crisp sharp image and take as much detail
in as possible.

6. Aperture & Depth of Field
• Depth of field is the distance between the
closest object and the one further away
only one can be sharp and the other
blurry
• Aperture is hole that light can travel
through which is the lens
7. Aperture & Depth of Field
Narrow Depth of Field Wide Depth of Field
8. Manual Exposure
• By using the option on
the camera you have to
set the you have to set
the amount of exposure
yourself
9. Automatic Exposure
• This basically means there is a setting on
the camera that will automatically set the
exposure to what it needs to be
10. Colour Balance
• You can adjust the
strength of a colour to
make it warm or cold
11. Composition
• To show distinction from a photo
composition is used by placing certain
elements
12. Rule of thirds
• The rule of thirds is where a image is split
into three sections
• The whole idea behind it is that if the
object is place on one section to either
the right or left it will make it more
interesting
