Although it isn't equivalent to daredevils who bungee jump or skydive, most of what we do is in the boundaries of risk taking. People start taking risks

Baby Driver Reflection
I was hesitant to watch "Baby Driver," despite liking the trailers and talent involved, because I have yet to see a full Edgar Wright film. I've seen
parts of "Shaun of the Dead," "Hot Fuzz" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World." I liked what I saw, but I wasn't sure I wanted to have my introduction to
Wright be his fifth film. Well, my willpower broke and I'm happier for it.
"Baby Driver" focuses on the eponymous Baby (Ansel Elgort), a getaway driver working for a crime boss (the now disgraced Kevin Spacey). Things
get more complicated when Baby meets Debora (Lilly James), a waitress who steals his heart, and gets involved in a job with some volatile
coconspirators.
Of the several joys of this film, not the least of them is acting. That starts with Elgort, who is impressive as Baby. He makes him someone we instantly
like, with his cool demeanor and infectious enthusiasm for music. We root for him right away, and that holds when we learn more about him and Elgort
convincingly portrays those depths.
As much as I liked Elgort, I probably liked James' work even more. She does a lot with little to work with as Debora. Her character doesn't have
much depth on the page, but James has a magnetic screen presence. She nails each scene and makes you believe her character is a real person with
many dimensions, even though the movie doesn't really explore them.

This took some time, and objections rose because some said they are previously only able to work with their own charity. No, they could not put a
box in their lobby, or they could only put them in the back with the employees. It seemed to me this was a challenge, so after discussing with our

Transformative Learning Following the ONE Decision seminar, a transformative learning shift resonated with me. Jack Mezirow, professor and leading
Transformative Learning thinker describes, "Transformative learning refers to the process by which we transform our taken–for–granted frames of
reference (meaning perspectives, habits of mind, mind–sets) to make them more inclusive, discriminating, open, emotionally capable of change, and
reflective so that they may generate beliefs and opinions that will prove more true or justified to guide action." Following this seminar, I began

Assumptions are necessary for us to function as humans, if we did not make assumptions we would have died out as a species long ago. In the film
"Atonement", director Joe Wright tells the story of a young Briony who has chosen to tell a terrible lie, one that will forever disconnect her from her
sister, her happiness, and herself. This text begs the question of assumptions; why we need to understand them, why we need to know when to admit

about the world. Two main stories are important for the invention of the aircraft. First, the Wright brothers are known as the creators of the airplane.

business. This may not seem like much but they ended up designing and building their own printing press they used for their shop. The wright

In this close viewing I will be using the films Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, directed by Edgar Wright, to show significant aspects/techniques of
different scenes used in both films. I will be focusing on the features of sound effects, dialogue and comparing near same scenes within two different
films and the aspects that Edgar Wright was trying to cover.
Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz both have fence jumping scenes. In Shaun of the Dead, the scene is opened with Shaun opening the gate quite
forcefully along with the rest of his team. Shaun says "The Winchester's just over there" and David says in a sarcastic tone, "Just over there behind
the 20 garden fences?" When David is saying the last bit of his sentence the camera pans over the fences in which they have to jump to show
audiences what they have to jump over. For example, to show why David is being sarcastic towards Shaun, and why it's being used in that particular
scene, Shaun then says "What's the matter, David? Never taken a shortcut before?", and smirks while turning behind, and tries to jump over the
fence but ends up making the fence fall over. He then picks himself back up and subtly tries to make it seem like he didn't just break the fence. The

When Richard moves to Chicago, it is clearly seen how living in the South has affected him. He recalls, "I looked about to see if there were signs
saying: FOR WHITE–FOR COLORED" (Wright 262). When he works for the Jewish couple, he feels the need to lie to them because "[he] had met
so many white faces that would have violently disapproved of ...taking the examination that [he] could not have risked telling Mr. Hoffman the truth"

Bigger Thomas is not an ordinary character that is portrayed in racial–poverty at the time. Were used to seeing the same story every day from this time
period. Only a few heroic people have stood up but never like as we see here. Bigger Thomas is a representation of all black men of this time: full
of fear. There worried for themselves and for their own families. They try making a living but due to their color, they are limited to very few

When using imagery, we can imagine what is going on, what the unknown characters did, and how it's affecting an individual and the entire
community. Thiswould eventually allow us to find out who the characters truly are, and what they believe in. Memories also play a key role in the
message of identity, since we can understand why specific characters did some things. Memories can influence them, or remind them of people who
were once with them. They may be physically gone, but they're still in memories, and can still influence decisions, as seen in "War of the Wall." In the
end, no matter what you're reading, there are characters who do things that may confuse you, but imagery and memories within the text can eventually
lead you onto the right path of understanding the reasoning behind
