Retrograde Amnesia Ever wondered how it would feel like to start from scratch in life? How it
would feel like to not remember anything or anyone? Retrograde amnesia has caused many people
to lose their memory all over the world. Retrograde amnesia is [1] a specific type of amnesia where
a person is unable to recall events that have occurred in the past prior to the amnesia taking place. In
the example of Jason Bourne from the movie "The Bourne Identity" it is shown that he has had a
complete memory loss of his past which is known as pure retrograde amnesia. Bourne suffered from
wounds and a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such fine motor skills are not affected by amnesia and are recalled instinctively. Amnesia only
affects the storage of memory in the brain and does not affect any other cognitive functions.
Retrograde amnesia may cause several signs and symptoms in a person such as confusion or even
false recollections. Besides these symptoms the person is perfectly able to understand and
communicate with the rest of the world. The only problem is that the person cannot recall
information from his past but he is still able to form new memories. Amnesia has no treatment
currently but there are a few methods which help retrieve the lost memory of the patient. An
occupational therapist helps the person to learn the information which was once lost. Other than
therapy or assistance, no medications are available up till now to treat amnesia. The intellectual spy–
thriller movie, "The Bourne Identity" is [3] about an amnesiac (Damon) who is rescued at sea by a
few people. Nearly dead, with bullets in his back and a head injury along with a Swiss bank account
number. His injuries caused him to lose his memory of his entire life and left him with no identity.
He finds out through his bank account number that he was part of the CIA due to a lot of money and
several passports found in his bank locker. Bourne is thought to be a rogue agent and many people
including the CIA want him dead and therefore, throughout the whole movie he

How to Play Volleyball
How to play Volleyball
Practice and heart is the key to be successful in the game. To play volleyball you must know the
basics and be able to master them. You have to be willing to put in the practice and get along with
your teammates no matter what. There are always six people starting, positions 1,2,3,4,5,6. Positions
one and four are the setting positions; the people who play the net. Each time the ball crosses the net
your team has three attempts to hit the ball back over. Each individual has a skill they may be better
at then others. That is why it is a "team" sport, not a "one–man" game.
Serving, Setting/Blocking, Outside Hitters, Passing, and Defensive Specialist are playing positions.
Serving takes a lot of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to block you follow the opposite team member, watch their feet as they jump for the ball, as
they jump you jump with them, your arms straight up side by side. This basically creates a wall for
the ball to hit and not break the plane of the net. Another big thing you must watch for aside from
the opposing teams kills is their tips. If they knew that you are going to be there for the block then
they may barley hit the ball over so it lands right beside or behind you. So you must be able to know
whether they are going to tip it or spike it. If you are playing the net you cannot touch the net or
cross the line underneath the net or it is called on your team and the opposing team gets the ball
back.
Blocking and setting take practice, but these are two main positions that you would not be able to
play volleyball without.
One key to playing Volleyball is passing the ball. The setter does not have the ability to get the ball
to the outside hitter if the passer does not have the skill to get the ball to the setter. If you cannot
make good passes then there is no need for a setter. Passing is a big technique to master, so it takes
practice. It is not hard, but you have to know how much force and distance the setter is and how to
hit accurately approach it. If you are willing to take the time and effort to play then learning to pass
the ball is just a matter of ball control, which is not a matter or skill to do, but a matter of

Design Of The Games For Primary School Children
CHAPTER 3: DESIGN
In this chapter, we describe the design of the games for the project which covers the interfaces and
structures of the game, the components and the technical details of the game using flowcharts to
describe the various processes of the game. Also, the purpose of the game and how the purpose can
be achieved are discussed here. These are presented under the following sub headings:
1. How are the games structured?
2. How are the games built?
3. What are the purposes of the games?
4. How can the purposes of the games be achieved?
5. How can the games be tested?
These questions tend to address how the games are built towards achieving its purposes. The
questions are addressed as follows:
3.1 How are the games structured?

The player would then receive the final inspiring comment. From here the player would be
prompted to either exit the game or start again.
The benefits of starting again cannot be overemphasised as the player tends to master the game
thereby mastering the subject the game is built to teach. To begin with, the game has to get a start
menu so that the player would not be thrown straight into playing the game. The Menu would then
link to the different games which the player would have to choose from. The levels of the game and
the process of winning in all the games are the same. It involves the player doing the right thing as
required and moving on to the next level till the game is completed. 3.1.1 The Main Menu
Each game begins with a Graphical User Interface that shows the Main Menu of the game which
ensures that the players do not just start playing the game as soon as the program is loaded. This acts
as the control panel for the game allowing the player to access all the features of the game like
choosing the game to play, getting instructions on how to play the game or closing the entire
program. The Main Menu contains buttons that leads the player to either choose a game which links
the user to the Game Menu showing the game and links to playing the game. The Main Menu
contains a Help button that links the player to instructions of how to play the game. The Main Menu

The Best Death Ever
The Best Death Ever – Niall Griffiths
By Christian Steenfeldt, 3.U
Children cannot differentiate between what is fun and what is serious. In the short story "The Best
Death Ever" by Niall Griffiths four boys are playing a game where they have to fake a death. The
boy whoever fakes the best death wins the game. The four boys do not understand what they are
doing and see the game, The Best Death Ever, as a fun game. Until one moment, when one of the
boys misjudges the distance to ground and almost hang himself meanwhile his friends where
shooting at him with their toy guns.
The story is narrated by a first person narrator who looks back at a specific incidence. The narrator
technique is very post modernistic. Niall Griffiths uses a lot of ... Show more content on

The story is a flashback of roughly 45–60 minutes of his life. The narrator looks back at that special
episode of his life and he turns all nostalgic.
The boys are strongly inspired by war movies and war stories told by the elderlies. The narrator has
received a toy gun from his granddad. He knows a lot about it because of his big interest in war. As
almost every other boy, they play games with guns and death involved. The problem is not that the
boys play war, but that they cannot differentiate between where the fun stops. In this game Gavin
almost killed himself, but it was not on purpose. A problem is, when the mom notices Gavin, she
immediately saves him. Then she slaps the narrator. By slapping the narrator she punishes him for
something that he does not know is wrong. The narrator is angry, because they have to award Gavin
the price of the best death.
"I would shock and shake them all with the violence of my going. But we never played the game
again."
Because his mother hit him and did not tell him what they did wrong, he does not understand
consequences. Therefore he still wants to win the game next time and he wants to put even more
violence in than Gavin did. Luckily they never played the game again, because nobody knows what
would have happened then.
This story is a perfect example to show that taking extra care of your children is highly necessary. If
you do not teach your kid what is dangerous and what is not, it will have serious consequences. As

The Bat And The Ball Goes Flying High Into Left Field
A crack of the bat and the ball goes flying high into left field. I don't get it. What is the point of
baseball anyway all you do is hit a ball and run. It's not like there is any point. We just go to a game
waist valuable time in our life and pay them to do nothing. That's when I learned I was wrong. It
was a rainy day when I wake up to the voice of my dad yelling, "Get out of bed I have some
important news to tell you." I yell back in frustration "It is 7:00 AM." He doesn't care so he comes
up stairs like always when I don't want to get out of bed and turns on the scolding lights. So I have
to get up if I want to turn them off. So I get out of bed anyway, and put on some clothing from my
closet and go down stairs. My dad is reading the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That's when I knew I was ready, to start betting on the games. The First few I bet I was betting about
$5 a game. Wining more than half of them. Then I started getting lots of money. When that
happened I bet bigger and better with friends and family. Then when I was watching baseball I saw a
commercial for an online gambling thing for baseball it was called Baseball Pros. I went online and
looked up "Baseball Pros" it said I had to be 18 and older so I made a fake account with my debt
card I got for my 15 birthday for emergency's. So I did that and it said if I lost my first game I would
get my money back. But I wasn't planning on loosing. But there was one problem the minimum
amount of money I could do is $100. So I had used my Emergency money on my debt card, and
placed my bet 2 days later I had doubled my $100 to $200. So I kept betting more money until I had
$1000 saved up. One day I was in my room and my dad walked in without warning wondering what
I was doing. He asked "What are you doing" he asked calmly. I replied to him and said,
"Homework!" He said nothing and left. One day I was at a game for the Royals, if they won I would
get $500. As always I was right and I had won. But I made a bad mistake and went online with a bad
person and bet them $500. After that 2 days had passed and I had won but something was strange I
kept getting messages from him saying "DEAD." I was scared I had no idea

Movie Theater And Choosing A Seat
1. When walking into a movie theater and choosing a seat, the appropriate interval all depends on
how full the theater is. When a person pays for a movie ticket, they understand the possibility of not
receiving the ideal seating. Most movie theaters operate on a first come first served basis. In my
estimation, the appropriate spacing between people at a movie theater is one seat. I don't have a
problem sitting next to a stranger in a movie theater with one seat separating us. I understand
sometimes sitting next to a stranger in inevitable, I have had to do it many times. Movie theaters
become very dark once the movie starts, which causes people to feel uncomfortable because they are
vulnerable without sight.
I feel that the appropriate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people are not going to be able to experience wizard magic, space, or getting stuck on a
sinking ship. A lesson can be learned from any situation, whether it's what to do, or not to do.
Another positive is that movies teach diversity. These popular commercial films are full of different
ideas, people, and elements. When people watch diverse movies, it allows them to become more
open and accepting in our everyday lives.
A negative aspect is the violence that is included in these movies. Children and teens have seen
these movies and get the ideas in their heads that it is okay to emulate these actions. Young minds
are malleable, which could lead to different problems in the future of these young people. Another
negative aspect of these movies is that they distract from life. This could also be a good thing
because people need breaks sometimes, but we can't be distracted all of the time. If we had a choice
between working and entering a world unlike our own through movies, most people would probably
choose to be somewhere else mentally.
3. I chose the very beginning of the Bourne Identity (2002) to look for camera techniques because
this portion of the film will be the first seen by the viewers. In the opening scene the viewer is
underwater looking up at Jason Bourne floating on the surface of the ocean. I feel this camera angle
was employed by the filmmaker to show the audience that Jason Bourne is not a bad guy. We do not

Games for Young Learners
CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Many researches stated that learning a language is better started from early age because in this stage
the children will be easier to acquire the language, sooner they start learning, more proficient they
will be in using the language. Therefore, presently, English is introduced starting from kindergarten
and becomes one lesson subject that must be taken in elementary school based on government's rule
in Indonesia. In this level, the children are usually called by young learners. Young learners are
those who just start the formal school until they are in eleven or twelve years old.
Teaching English for young learner is not easy task as it is seen because children are interested in
fun activity rather ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Besides that, language aspects, such as grammar, vocabulary and etc, could be involved in the
games. It is based on the teacher's imagination, creativity, and sensitivity to make the games become
useful tool for learning.
2. The Advantages of Games for Teaching Young Learners
There are some advantages of using games as classroom activity, they are:
a. Games could decrease anxiety of learning a new language and it will make the language transfer
going smoothly. The children would not feel that they are under pressure. They learn the language in
a good and relax atmosphere. In a good, relaxed atmosphere which is created, children would
remember things faster, easier and better.
b. Games are highly motivating and entertaining. In order words, games bring more fun into the
classroom and could give motivation to students since games contain a challenge.
c. Games give them new experience of using foreign language that would not available during
regular language learning classroom.
d. Games involve all learners to participate. It means that silent students are also invited to
participate and give their contribution in playing the game sp all students have the same opportunity
to practice and use the language.
e. Furthermore, games give different atmosphere to the classroom activities, break the ice and also
can be used to introduce new

The Bourne Identity Essay
The Bourne Identity
In this essay, I compared the book, "The Bourne Identity" by Robert Ludlum and the film of the
same name, directed by Doug Liman. The main character Jason Bourne was played by Matt Damon
and Marie St. Jacques is played by Franka Potente. The book and movie were extremely different
from each other. The book had more detail of the overall story, easier to comprehend and had
character build up. While the movie seemed to only be interested in the action. I thought the book to
be more fulfilling in its story and the movie to be predictable and tedious (considering I fell asleep).
It didn't take long to notice they were completely different. I wasn't prepared for the movie to be so

Washburn studied and made Jason Bourne wait until he thought he was fit to go out into the world,
for instance he made him go on a fishing trip with the hardest fishing crew around to prove his was
ready. As always, Jason Bourne proved he was ready for anything. Geoffrey Washburn was never
seen or mentioned in the movie which like I said was a great disappointment, because that was the
upbringing of Jason Bourne. He is partly responsible to creating the new Jason Bourne. He is also
the a great help to Jason Bourne while he tries to find out who he was, and what he was. Another
thing that is in the book, is the character Marie St. Jacques who was first Bourne's hostage. Who was
in Swedish women working for the Canadian government. In the book she was very intelligent and
sharp. She was able to escape from Bourne and then was caught by the cops. She was used by the
cops to find Jason and once they found him, they tried to kill her. Though to her surprise Bourne had
been following her and saved her. She then felt like she had to be by his side and help him find his
identity and then quickly fell in love with him. None of what I said above happened in the film. In
the film She was bribed into helping Bourne and was just a petty girl that needed cash to stay in
Sweden. She liked Jason Bourne throughout the film from

Basketball : The Game Of Basketball
The game of basketball started in December 1891. Basketball was founded by a Canadian born
instructor named James Naismith at the Young Men's Christian Association training school in
Springfield, Massachusetts. The YMCA developed rules for the game which were later used in high
schools, colleges, and settlement houses. The game grew bigger and popular in a lot of areas.
Particularly in urban areas, where games were sponsored by schools, social clubs, churches, and
companies. Colleges sponsored tournaments to attract players to their school. The best players
around the world would attend these tournaments and invitational meetings in hope to earn
scholarships or enter semipro leagues around American cities. Not only did men play the game of
basketball but women, particularly in the south, received similar opportunities to play basketball for
sponsored teams. Throughout the 20 centaury, basketball was a primary sport in inner–city
playgrounds and urban recreational communities. College basketball was the main form of
organized basketball beginning in the 1930s. The American basketball league began in the 1920s. As
professional as the ABL was, it could not compete with college basketball. However the American
basketball league changed the college basketball world. One of the main places basketball was
played was at the Madison Square Garden. The first ABL elite program was the Boston Celtics. In
the 1920s they won as much as 90 percent of their games. The game of basketball

"The Bourne Identity" Critical Analysis Essay
A sense of belonging will often emerge from the connections made with people, places, groups,
communities, and the larger world. The Bourne Identity is a novel, written by Robert Ludlum. The
main character in this novel is Jason Bourne, a broken man, not only in the physical, but also in the
emotional and psychological sense. Throughout the entire novel we see a man who is attempting to
put the pieces of his life back together after suffering from a sudden onset of amnesia. There are
several ways that this text relates to belonging and not belonging, all of which become increasingly
obvious as the novel progresses. Through the loss of memory every aspect of an individual's sense
of belonging is completely removed, and as Bourne struggles ... Show more content on

'You came for me. You came back for me, and saved ... my ... life.' " This extreme turn of events
creates a connection between Bourne and Marie, one that time develops into a very close and
intimate relationship. "She knew Jason Bourne, or the man called Jason Bourne, and she held on to
the decency she knew was there. Oh, God, how she loved him so!". "And then he would leave; she
would never know when and he could never tell her why. He owed her that; it would hurt deeply for
a while, but the ultimate pain would be far less than that caused by the stigma of Cain. Cain! Marie.
Marie! What have I done?" This is an example of a narrative technique used throughout the text.
The author uses italics to show what Bourne is thinking, in doing this a deeper connection is created
between the reader and the character, by revealing how Bourne really feels. This technique is used in
other instances to show Bourne's raw emotion and distress.
A man in the text know only as 'Carlos' is another individual of whom Bourne has a deep connection
with. However, this connection and the sense of belonging that is derived from it, is of a very
different nature, to the one he shares with Marie. Carlos is a central figure in Bourne's fragmented
memory, however he cannot place where, how or why he knows this man. Again the narrative
technique using italics to show Bourne's thoughts is used. "Carlos. Find Carlos! God in heaven,
why?" "Delta.

Summary Of The Bourne Supremacy
Intensified continuity as a concept had four parts to it that contributed to it. The first involved the
use of rapid editing techniques meaning quicker cuts. With audiences slowly beginning to expect
this sort of action they became accustomed and began enjoying these types of films. The next style
was using a tight frame anytime there was a dialogue between characters or the scene itself. By
focusing in on the actor, it placed an importance they compared the scene itself. The next style
meant using motion in shots, allowing the director to convey to the audience about the emotion
involved in that scene, using different lens lengths. Like using long lenses in outdoor shots catching
the action that was happening farther away or using a wide–angle lens to capture more of what's
going on in the scene. In the film, The Bourne Supremacy a 2004 mystery crime based film that
follows Matt Damon's character Jason Bourne who's is framed by a Russian operative for stealing
millions of dollars from the CIA. That same operative begins the hit for Jason hell bent on
assassinating him. Intensified continuity in this movie is essentially using short, focused shots on the
protagonists to maintain the audience's attention. But each of these shots has a single purpose which
conveys the small snippet of information needed for the audience to maintain their attention with the
movie. With the Bourne Supremacy, it all tends to follow the specifics of the CIA attempts in
hunting him down to sub

A Farewell Of Arms, By Ernest Hemingway
Major events throughout history have resulted from human desire for fulfillment by instituting war,
preaching religion, and glorifying love. In A Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway introduces
Frederic Henry, an American in the Italian Army during World War I. Frederic Henry's attempts to
find his meaning in life, are represented by his attempts to discover the possibilities in war, religion,
and love. He does this through his friendship with a Catholic priest, his intense love affair with
nurse Catherine Barkley, who ends up pregnant with his child and eventually dies during labor,
along with their child, and finally with his position as Lieutenant during the war. Throughout A
Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway repeatedly mentions games in war, love, and religion, to
illustrate his belief that humans use these as a way to play with and hopefully reach fulfillment but
also use them as a distraction from the inevitable ending: death.
Hemingway's repeated allusions to games in war, and his portrayal of Henry's attitude about war
from beginning to end of the novel shift dramatically; illustrating that war is used as a tool or a
game by humans to enrich their lives and avoid death, while systematically stealing the lives of
others. From disinterest, to realization, and finally reflection, Henry experiences diverse changes in
his ideals concerning war. At first Henry decides that "I would not be killed... It did not have
anything to do with me" stating his detachment from the

Analysis Of War For The Planet Of The Apes
"War for the Planet of the Apes" is a 2017 American sci–fi movie coordinated by Matt Reeves and
composed by Mark Bomback and Reeves. A continuation of Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)
and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), it is the third portion in the Planet of the Apes reboot

Why We Need Heroes in Movies
Thomas Fuselier
Why do we need heroes?
Professor James Winters
While they may be very different from one another almost every movie must have some type of
hero. Screen writers and movie directors must constantly develop these different types of heroes to
please the many different attitudes and opinions of movie goers. Movie enthusiast all have different
reasons for liking the movie heroes they do and it is up to the screen writers, actors, and directors to
successfully please the movies target audience. Numerous studies have tried to reveal just exactly
what people consider a hero to be. In a study discussed in the course packet the results show that

In real life the underdog is hardly ever victorious so movie writers create these underdog heroes to
fulfill the audiences desire to see the underdog actually win once and a while. Movies that show the
underdog as triumphant give real people hope that even though one may be up against a much more
powerful foe, it is possible to come out on top. Superheroes first became extremely popular within
the pages of comic books so it was only natural that film makers adopted the idea of superheroes
into movies as well. People flock to superhero movies to satisfy their need for fantasy. Superhero
movies frequently depict an average Joe who is somehow given amazing super human powers that
real men and women have been fantasizing about for years. When thinking about movies that follow
this sequence of events, the first movie that comes to my mind is Spider Man. The movie starts out
by showing the main character as a weak and nerdy high school student, but a field trip to a research
lab changed his life forever. He is bitten by a spider that gives him super human powers that he uses
to fight crime and injustice. Viewers are enticed by movies like Spiderman because they wish that
they could actually obtain these super human powers too. While many people would like these
powers to have the ability to better society, many would also enjoy the powers for more cynical
uses. Many people can relate to the feeling of being weak and helpless, so seeing heroes like

Why Do People Practice Sports?
Have you ever thought why individuals do sports? Completely, numerous individuals appear to be
not to know the reasons. As an anecdote, there are numerous individuals who do sports in vain
around us. Ordinary we can experience with these individuals. They consistently do sports;
nonetheless, none of them understands the profits and essentialness of games. Truth be told, the
other way around, some individuals need to be fit and alluring, look savvy. Lamentably, these
individuals can't think about different profits of games. As I would see it, there are a few profits of
games that individuals regularly don't think about: games are obliged to be sound individuals, are
required for pleasure, and are incredible business for nations' economies.
The main focal point of games for individuals is that they help individuals be solid, and be fit. All
around history, individuals can't surrender their enthusiasm at their body. I belive that now numerous
individuals cherish themselves regardless of how wonderful or monstrous they are. Commonly,
individuals' first point ought to be sound and fit with the profits of games. Because of this that

whichever way you view them there is no denying that the online realm has made such games more

stories that go along with the games. We have all heard the tall tales of players going all or nothing

The problem is that some casinos and some games are more ruthless than others when it comes to
such. It all means that you should feel comfortable where you're playing and truly understand what
odds and risks lay in front of you.
While there is no denying the game itself and its features will determine how successful you, there
are several elements within yourself you need to consider before you play. Everyone signs up to an
online casino with a bankroll in mind, this means that you need to set your limits before you start
wagering. The easiest way to control your gambling is to set a 'loss border' and a 'target–winning
amount'. The 'loss border' relates to how much you can honestly accept to lose when gambling on
the slots, while the 'target winning amount' relates to the amount of money you'd be happy to walk
way with. Calculate both figures based of the odds and payouts of the game in question and do your
best to stick within these boundaries. Looking deeper into the games themselves and how they
operate, you shouldn't play under the premises that you are simply waiting on a payout. Online
games don't 'charge up' like the old land–based machines used to. Every spin is completely
autonomous, which means is doesn't how much money you plough into the game, the winning
percentage will never change.

The Game of Golf
The Game of Golf
When I started playing golf with my father at the age of seven years old, I never could have
imagined how much this game has taught me about life, motivation, and myself. My senior year in
high school I was playing as the number one and captain on the varsity golf team. That honor was
bestowed on me, because I was supposedly the best man on the team. Which just happened to be
true. It was an honor that I truly enjoyed because golf had been a hobby, sport, and passion I had
worked extremely hard at for close to a decade. But playing first man also had its drawbacks. The
one that I will speak of here is the style of speaking that I had to use while playing in a tournament.
It was five o'clock at night on a crisp fall ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I view golf a lot like learning because no matter how much closer I get to flawlessness, there is
always more to do and improve on. My mind functions like a balanced chemical equation or
perfectly solved math problem with only one perfect solution, no gray area. Yet, the fact that I have
to endlessly work at the process of perfection is exactly what intrigues me, and I have come to terms
with the fact that imperfection is part of perfection.
Over the past few years, I have leveraged this aspect of my character as a positive quality rather than
a weakness. I view failures and imperfections as an opportunity for growth and room for
improvement. Our hockey team emphasizes the phrase "Get Better Everyday" and personifies this as
the GBT, or the "Get Better Train." In order to be successful in any aspect of your life, you must be
hungry for accomplishment. Being on the Get Better Train emphasizes the importance of working
closer and closer to your goal everyday. On top of this, it stressed the importance of progress. No
matter how big or little, every movement toward your goal is significant. This very simple concept
has taught me to be positive everyday and strive to improve one aspect of myself everyday, always
working toward the different goals I have in my life from personal, to career, to educational, and
more. While many look at the game of golf and other sports as merely just a "game", these sports
have taught me

The League Of Legends Is A Game Created By The Industry...
League of Legends is a game created by the industry Riot Games and it's available for free. It's
commonly known as a MOBA, or multiplayer online battle arena. League of Legends has many
different aspects of the game that definitely keep it interesting. There are 127 characters that the
player may choose from, although they are all not available at first. Each character has their own set
of abilities, which include a passive, three active abilities, and one ultimate (with a few exceptions).
There are different roles in this game as well, which include: Tank, Support, Mage, Marksman,
Fighter, and Assassin. There is a certain Meta that exists in the game as well, which is the normal

Then there is the game itself, which is also self–changing every couple of weeks or so. These key
points help to define the game and give some consensus about how well the game actually is.
Firstly, there is how the people who play the game treat each other. There are generally two types of
players. One of these types of players are the people who treat everyone with respect and talk nicely
about others. The whole point of the game is to have fun and to play the way you want to play.
These are the people who you really should thank when in a game. They will help you to understand
the game and give many tips and tricks on how to play even better. Then you can continue playing
with them for even more help if needed. You can even add them to your friends list to just play a
casual game with them. These people are the persons players should look for. There are, however,
some people who aren't as great.
People do exist in the game where their only goal is making a player's life a virtual hell. These
people are often referred to as "toxic" players. These are the worst type of people as all they do is
make the game non–pleasant. There are many different things they will do to take away the fun.
They will scream at you for every mistake you make, no matter how big. They assist the enemy
team to make sure that your team loses. They can even make players quit the round in the game
because they become sick of being harassed. In this game, you will defiantly encounter some of

Online Gambling : Online Casino Bonus
Blog 7 – How to make the absolute most of an online casino bonus
Let me tell you something, as a true veteran of the industry, I am all to aware of what is needed from

reality is that every online gambler's journey starts the same way. It is through online casino bonuses
that modern day players are able to step into realm with dreams of winning big. Finding the right

These requirements take the form of withdrawal, wagering, and game cap requirements. When you
first see these requirements, you may think of them to be quite innocuous, but they are far from that.
The toughest requirement you face will be the wagering requirement, as it can be damming even at
the best of times. The actual number you face will range from 5x to 500x and represents how many
times you are going to have to gamble the bonus amount offered to you. The reason why a wagering
requirement is implemented is clear, the online casino wants to make sure you walk away from a
game with nothing. So while you may land a few wins, the wagering requirements are in place to
make sure you keep playing regardless. Personally, it is my belief that a casino bonus with a
wagering requirement of more than 30x isn't even worth considering.
Wagering requirements are the nastiest element you'll face when it comes to an online casino bonus,
but there is more to them just that. Withdrawal requirements and game locks are also in place to
slow you down. Dealing with later, you should be very cautious of online casino bonuses that
implement a strict game locks. Because huge bonuses aren't worth anything if you are only limited
to use them on set number of games. Withdrawal limits are also becoming pretty common and that
should have you (as well as all other players) worried. These limits can cut your wins down to size

Ultimatum Game Theory
In this paper, the efficiency of the ultimatum game theory was assessed to resolve water conflicts
between agricultural and environmental water needs in Zarrinehroud River Basin, northwest of Iran.
Irrigated agriculture and its water needs were to be adjusted in order to mitigate the downstream
Lake Urmia drying condition. The great need of food production in the region and in the whole
country in one hand, and the worsening environmental impacts due to the drying lake, on the other
hand, are clearly conflicting issues.
Extensive ultimatum game theory with two financial strategies consisting of the purchase of
irrigation water vs. cutting off water allocation to irrigated agriculture without any payment
(dictatorship strategy) was evaluated.

Blind Obedience in Shirley Jackson's The Lottery
The author of "The Lottery" wrote this story "to shock the story's readers with a graphic
demonstration of the pointless violence and general inhumanity in their own lives" (Jackson 211).
This story reflects human behavior in society to show how although rules, laws or traditions do not
make sense, people follow them. Throughout the story the three main symbols of how people
blindly follow senseless traditions were the lottery itself, the color black, and the hesitation that
people had towards the prize. The lottery in the story was the game in which the prize was death. In
reality this lottery symbolized the game of life, and how our behavior as human beings influences
our choices in life and therefore our destiny. In this case the ... Show more content on

The author uses this symbol to help readers relate the story to their everyday life more easily. In
society people may think something is wrong but if they see a bunch of people doing it they'll go
ahead and do it themselves. At the end of the story, when the winner was picked, the narrator says
"A stone hit her on the side of the head" (Jackson 217). This quote refers that nobody saw who was
the first one to hit her but as soon as the stone hit her head ¨then they were upon her" (218). People
at first were unsure whether to start throwing the stones or not, but as soon as one threw the first
one, they all followed without hesitation. This story had a graphical representation that seemed to be
abnormal or incoherent in the way it was presented, because in our society it is not normal and it is
against the law to have a game in which the prize is death, but although it is not normal and against
the law it happens in our everyday life. Although we do not have this kind of tradition anymore
(within the United States,) we do have other rules, or laws, which instead of help people, it kills
them little by little and some people decide to take justice in their hands. For example in some
foreign countries the laws allow government to punish criminals by publically humiliating

What Is The Difference Between James Bond And James Bond
Who would win?Two of the greatest super spies are pinned up against one another, and only one can
reign victor. I'm going to compare the movie adaptations of both James Bond and Jason Bourne. For
this debate, I will be comparing the Daniel Craig–Era Bond (for reference; these films include
Casino Royale [2006], Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre) and Jason Bourne as he appears in
these three films: "The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Supremacy," and "The Bourne Ultimatum."
These iconic characters have many similarities and differences, but I'm going to explain to you why
BLANK is better, based on their place in pop culture; their skills; such as martial arts training,
gadgets, and spy capabilities; friends/allies; and complexity as an overall character. James Bourne's
pop culture presence is significantly lacking compared to James Bond. Bourne simply hasn't been
around long enough to establish its place in the eyes of younger viewers. James Bond has always
been an iconic character in pop culture, however this new iteration of Bond hasn't quite hit the mark
of an icon as some other past Bonds have. Yet, every time a new Bond movie comes out, audiences
are ripe with anticipation. You just can't say the same about Jason Bourne. Although Bourne is an
American, the Brit has a more powerful and iconic pop culture presence. The two spies have similar
training in martial arts; both are very skilled, and experienced fighters. However, Bourne's usage of
objects around gives him

Let's Play Ball
It was a smoldering day in the summer of 1932, and yet all the boys were out on the ball field. They
were playing a doubleheader that afternoon, and it was bottom of the ninth inning when they had to
stop the game. "If we had some big fancy lights like them city boys we wouldn't have'ta quit playin'
whenever it gets dark out," complained Jimmy as he kicked up some dirt off the field. "Yeah, well
it's kinda hard to do that when we ain't got no electricity out here," his brother Noah replied solemly.
"The worst part is that we were actually winnin' for once Jimmy!" The boys went home dissapointed
that night after coming so close to their first win this year. "Momma we're home!" The boys shouted
together as they walked through the front door. They made their way to the kitchen where they knew
dinner would be waiting for them. Jimmy and Noah sat down at the table and instantly started
shoving food in their mouths, practically inhaling it. "How was your day boys?" Their mother asked
with enthusiasm all over her face. She genuinely loved hearing about their games. "Well momma we
lost our first game pretty bad, but I really think we woulda won the next one if we could've finished
the stupid thing. It's just impossible to see anything out there when it starts gettin' dark, ya know?"
Jimmy was talking with food in his mouth, but she could understand enough to figure out what he

Game Theory In Water Resource Management
1. Introduction
Water resources management is involved with various beneficiaries that may have conflicting
interests (Veeren & Tol 2003; Wei et al. 2010). Game theory–based models have been used in water
resources management to address water conflicts and are recognized as appropriate methods (Wei et
al. 2010). Game theory and its mathematical background were proposed and used in economics for
the first time by Neumann and Morgenstern (1953). Different forms of games have been suggested
by many researchers to address water conflicts alongside other conflict resolution methods such as
Graph Model for Conflict Resolution (GMCR) (Kilgour 1995), Adjusted Winner (Massoud 2000),
and Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (Giordano et al. 2005). Game theory–based ... Show more content on

most importantly, in water resources management. Rogers (1969) applied a range of strategies in the

Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers. Young et al. (1982) compared the separable costs–remaining

theory considering various water uses such as multi–objective water projects, irrigation,
groundwater, hydropower, urban water supply, sewage disposal and transboundary water disputes.
Raquel et al. (2007) applied game theory to a groundwater conflict in Mexico and tried to balance
benefits from agricultural production with negative environmental impacts among 12 alternative
groundwater extraction scenarios. Mahjouri and Ardestani (2011) developed cooperative and non–
cooperative models for a large–scale water allocation problem

Essay on Belonging
The need to belong in an integral part of the human psyche. All people, on some level, desire to feel
a sense of belonging that will emerge from the connections made with people, places, groups,
communities and the larger world. Belonging cannot be achieved without an understanding of
oneself and their surroundings.
Belonging encompasses many different themes, several of which are explored in Romulus My
Father. Throughout Romulus My Father the characters are either developing or not developing, an
understanding of themselves and their surroundings through the connections made with people,
places, groups, communities and the larger world. That is the characters are either developing or not

They share a deep connection from the time spent together alone at Frogmore. Romulus says to a
friend that "My son is everything to me." This is similar to the relationship between Chris and
Christopher in The Pursuit of Happiness. Shortly after Chris' wife leaves him she picks Christopher
up from day care but instead of bringing him home at six o'clock, like they had arranged, she keeps
him for the night. Chris confronts his wife the next day saying "Hey, don't you ever take my son
away from me again. You hear me? ... Don't you take my son away from me again." Chris, like
Romulus, feels that he belongs with his son and from this belonging he is able to overcome the
many obstacles he faces in life as a single father. Although there is no filial theme explored in the
song the World at Large, the line "I like songs about drifters – books about the same. They both
seem to make me feel a little less insane." Indicates that for the songwriter, a sense of belonging is
found in people that are similar to him, through the connections he has with other people.
As Bourne is searching for information of his past he learns that he lived in Paris. At once he knows
this is true, and from this understanding a sense of belonging to a place, Paris, began to emerge. He
then travels to Paris, which is the setting for the majority of the text. When Marie says to Bourne,
that they should leave Paris, that they could start another life somewhere else, he replies

Theories Of The Utimatum Game
We consider a two player game, where one player (the proposer) makes an offer to split an
endowment/an amount of money between the two players and the other player (the responder) can
accept or reject the offer in an ultimatum game (but has no choice in the dictator game).
In an ultimatum game, if the other player accepts, the money is split according to the proposal and if
the other player rejects, neither player receives anything. As suggested by game theory, the only
sub–game perfect Nash equilibrium of the game is the strategy pair in which player one offers zero
and player 2 accepts all offers. Rational responders should accept even the smallest positive offer,
since the alternative is getting nothing. In a large number of human studies, ... Show more content

As per what the theory predicts (based on non–cooperative game theory), the dictator will allocate
nothing to the receiver in a simple dictator game. When property rights are introduced in the dictator
game, 'dictator earnings treatment', we expect dictators to produce as much wealth as possible and
give nothing to the receiver and in the receiver earnings treatment, we expect individuals in group Y
to produce the lowest earnings level possible and the proposer to offer a higher share. (Spraggon,
2008).
Thus, this theory will be validated if we observe in the experiment that the give rate of the
participants fall in the dictator game when property rights are given to proposers. In that case, we
will accept the hypothesis.
In the ultimatum game, the responder will not be willing to accept low offers if he/she has earned
the money and the dictator will not be expected give zero amount knowing this. If the property
rights are with the proposer, then too, he will give be expected to give more to the responder than in
a dictator game, fearing that very low offers will make the partner reject his/her proposal. If we
observe such a behavior, then the expected theory is

It helped working together because we could share ideas to each other. The Scratch program was
simple and easy to master. We did really well at studying and mastering the program.
There were some issues with designing the background and characters. The limited time made it
hard to make a complicated and interesting game. The game wasn't as accurate as we had hoped but
it was one of my favorites. We also actually knew what we were doing. With the knowledge in
Scratch I know that I'll do better next year. Doing gome on made me realise how much I enjoyed
programming, and I know that skill will come in handy later in life.
For Electric Vehicle I learned that time is very important with designing and programming but
working on the vehicle was different we remodeled it about three times to make it work correctly
and stop swerving to the left. The rules were simple: make the vehicle come to a complete stop
when it hits the set distance. Our way of building the vehicle was to base it on a click system; in the
system we had buttons that had a certain amount of time it would make the motors go for. The rules
stated that the vehicle had to be between "nine to twelve meters", (in distance of which it could
travel), but at the competition it was eleven meters. When preparing for the distance runs we had to
figure out how many clicks it took to go one meter. Unfortunately, it was a little more complex; it
accelerated so it didn't go at a linear rate,

This removes sources of bias. Demand characteristics were not seen because the debrief was in
detail, and no prediction of the experiment was found. All variables of this experiment were
controlled and hence was synthetic. The levels of testosterone in all participants were maneuvered
by the researcher and the 'Ultimatum Game' was not an equivalent situation to real life as it was far
too simplistic. Therefore, the experiment lacks mundane realism and ecological validity. The
experiment shows reductionism. The intricate idea of 'aggression' and 'generosity' are studied and a

Why Is Baseball Important To Me Essay
Throughout my life, I have been apart of America's pastime––baseball. My career started in the dog
days of the '03 season and I have not stopped playing since. Looking back, I can see the horrid field
where I first started playing, and if I shift gears and look forward, I can see the shimmering astro

to play the game of baseball have been stored in the very core of my being, but I was launched into
this learning process. I never got to play teeball like most young players do, so I did not learn the
game in the same manner as most ball players have before me. The speedy progression would
discourage most from ever playing again, but I fed on the opportunity and thrived. Time and time
again, the game of baseball has tried to knock me out with an array of assailants, but it has not
succeeded to this point, for I have gotten back up each time stronger than before. One could say
baseball was the mold that made me into who I am today. Weeks away from my fifth birthday, my

Why The Paradox Between Practitioners Of The Different...
1. Introduction
It is well known that economics is the study of how individuals and groups make decisions with
limited resources so as to best satiate their needs and wants. Similar to many disciplines, economics
relies on well established assumptions; among others include: individuals base their choices on
stable, well–defined preferences. In addition, many economic models are built on the assumption
that individuals are solely motivated by self–interest. Indeed, the relatively miniscule consideration
for fairness in standard economic theory sticks out like a sore thumb when one studies between
economics and the other social science disciplines.
The question remains, why the paradox between practitioners of the different disciplines? A
potential hypothesis is that economists themselves are poles apart in the sense that economists
behave differently in situations involving social cooperation. If proven right, a natural follow–up
question is whether this distinction is nature or nurture.
This paper tests the differences between economists and non–economists by using two quite famous
economic games: the Ultimatum Game and also the Dictator Games. Having participants play both
games is the key innovation of this study's design, allowing yours truly to separate altruism and
equity from strategy.
2. Literature Review

III. Effectiveness/ Success of the Adaptation: It would be futile to compare this movie with the
book, as the movie ignores most of the plot in the book, only keeping the element of an amnesiac
agent. Although they share a name, The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and its movie adaptation
have very little to nothing in common. (see Fig 1.0) Compared side–by–side, the movie will hardly
cover the first 3 chapters of the book. The book describes a man who is found shot in the ocean
without his memory. He is saved by a couple of men and taken to a doctor on land who helps him
regain his strength and begin to remember his past. The man travels to Zurich because of a negative

name is discovered to be Jason Bourne, and Marie fall in love and end up in Paris.

We Have A Game Battle
"Danny. Danny!" My teacher yelled. I woke up confused while everybody is staring at me like
hawks. I explained that I was day dreaming but she wasn't listening, so I told myself "Only 10 more

I was shocked about how fast they were talking but I said "we have $600 to win." When I arrived at

are characterized more by competition because "biology is war, in which only the fiercest survive."
Cooperation is good at times, but without competition, there is not much reason to do anything, but
then without cooptation, we cannot do anything. Basically, cooperation gets things done, but
competition is an incentive. 2. What is the prisoner's dilemma? The prisoner's dilemma is a situation

the offer, no player wins anything. If both players were perfectly rational and did not incorporate
fairness considerations into their decisions, then those making offers would always offer $1 while
keeping the rest and those receiving offers would always accept the offer since winning $1 is better
than $0. However, people often reject offers where they receive less than 20% of the pie because
they perceive the offers to be unfair. Essentially, they derive more utility from denying the
proposer's allocation than they would have if the proposed allocation went through. Even though
they have complete outcome control, dictators typically do not take all the money available in the
pie despite having the option to do so.
A real–world analogue to a dictator game is pay–what–you–want pricing. The concept behind pay–

We tend to activate parts of the brain associated with negative emotion when considering unfair
offers. Cross–cultural studies suggest that fairness is an important consideration in every society that
has been tested, though its strength may vary across cultures. Even monkeys tend to respond to
unfairness by refusing to work for rewards. Pay differentials play a key role in dictating
organization–level outcomes. Companies with more pay equity tend to produce better products than
ones with pay inequity. Major league baseball teams with more pay equity tend to perform better
than those with pay inequity. The gap between CEO pay and the pay of the average executive is
negatively correlated with performance. Pay differentials have important consequences because we
use others' outcomes as reference points to help us determine the acceptability of our own

Enhancing Emotional Development of Children with Dramatic...
Syllabus
Dramatic Play Generally dramatic play has been proven is one of the main activities that can
enhance child emotional development and can be the entertainment for the children.
The game we would like to propose in our syllabus is "Live in Your Space". In this dramatic game,
the instructors will give instructions to kids to build their own space such as school, library, post
office, kitchen, grocery or office. The kids will be divided into smaller groups of three or four
peoples for them to work together to build their own space in 30 to 45 minutes period and after that
the kids need to act the roles they have chosen since children actually love to pretend as adults.
There are various toys provided in the childcare that kids can use to build the setting they want. For
example a group of kids wanted to build a classroom setting. They can use everything in their
surrounding for the setting such as books, number or alphabets blocks, some cards and etc. They
also can arrange the chairs and tables in order to make it similar with a classroom by help from
teacher. After the setting, the kids can pretend as teacher teaching in the classroom or as students
listening to the lessons. The teacher can ring a bell when wanted the end the pretend play to make
the situation similar with a real school. Generally in this game, kids need to learn how to work
together and tolerate with each other in order to accomplish the task. They might have different
opinions in setting their

Why I Am Today About Playing Professional Football, Where...
In retrospect to where I am today it its safe to say that I faced several unforeseen obstacles in order
to achieve my greatest goal in life – that of playing professional football, where do I begin? In order
to understand who I am today let us begin by understanding where I came from, a few things I have
been through that made this strong individual today. I was raised in Toronto where everything is
beautiful and nice but within that beauty there was darkness, pain and neglect. I was raised in the
rough parts of Toronto but even though times was rough and hard I had a family to come home to.
When I got older about sixteen of age I then began to understand the selfish cold place around me, it
was full of hatred and pain. I tried to look through the rough side of things and make things a better
place in my mind, listen to music and look deep within my environment and see the beauty in this
place. When I was with my friends we decided to go to a party to hang out with our local friends,
have a good time and catch up. When the party was done I wouldn't expect my whole life to change.
I always dreamt my close friends and I would some day get away from this negative place and be
free to give back to our community. All of this was about to change in a flash of an eye. When we
arrive by our apartment building complex; a car pulls up and three men come out yelling at another
group of men in the park than before I know it the sound of gunshots filled the air. In fear for my life

How it would feel like to not remember anything or anyone? Retrograde amnesia has caused many people to lose their memory all over the world. Retrograde amnesia is [1] a specific type of amnesia where a person is unable to recall events that have occurred in the past prior to the amnesia taking place. In the example of Jason Bourne from the movie "The Bourne Identity" it is shown that he has had a complete memory loss of his past which is known as pure retrograde amnesia. Bourne suffered from wounds and a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Such fine motor skills are not affected by amnesia and are recalled instinctively. Amnesia only affects the storage of memory in the brain and does not affect any other cognitive functions. Retrograde amnesia may cause several signs and symptoms in a person such as confusion or even false recollections. Besides these symptoms the person is perfectly able to understand and communicate with the rest of the world. The only problem is that the person cannot recall information from his past but he is still able to form new memories. Amnesia has no treatment currently but there are a few methods which help retrieve the lost memory of the patient. An occupational therapist helps the person to learn the information which was once lost. Other than therapy or assistance, no medications are available up till now to treat amnesia. The intellectual spy– thriller movie, "The Bourne Identity" is [3] about an amnesiac (Damon) who is rescued at sea by a few people. Nearly dead, with bullets in his back and a head injury along with a Swiss bank account number. His injuries caused him to lose his memory of his entire life and left him with no identity. He finds out through his bank account number that he was part of the CIA due to a lot of money and several passports found in his bank locker. Bourne is thought to be a rogue agent and many people including the CIA want him dead and therefore, throughout the whole movie he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You have to be willing to put in the practice and get along with your teammates no matter what. There are always six people starting, positions 1,2,3,4,5,6. Positions one and four are the setting positions; the people who play the net. Each time the ball crosses the net your team has three attempts to hit the ball back over. Each individual has a skill they may be better at then others. That is why it is a "team" sport, not a "one–man" game. Serving, Setting/Blocking, Outside Hitters, Passing, and Defensive Specialist are playing positions. Serving takes a lot of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to block you follow the opposite team member, watch their feet as they jump for the ball, as they jump you jump with them, your arms straight up side by side. This basically creates a wall for the ball to hit and not break the plane of the net. Another big thing you must watch for aside from the opposing teams kills is their tips. If they knew that you are going to be there for the block then they may barley hit the ball over so it lands right beside or behind you. So you must be able to know whether they are going to tip it or spike it. If you are playing the net you cannot touch the net or cross the line underneath the net or it is called on your team and the opposing team gets the ball back. Blocking and setting take practice, but these are two main positions that you would not be able to play volleyball without. One key to playing Volleyball is passing the ball. The setter does not have the ability to get the ball to the outside hitter if the passer does not have the skill to get the ball to the setter. If you cannot make good passes then there is no need for a setter. Passing is a big technique to master, so it takes practice. It is not hard, but you have to know how much force and distance the setter is and how to hit accurately approach it. If you are willing to take the time and effort to play then learning to pass the ball is just a matter of ball control, which is not a matter or skill to do, but a matter of ... Also, the purpose of the game and how the purpose can be achieved are discussed here. These are presented under the following sub headings: 1. How are the games structured? 2. How are the games built? 3. What are the purposes of the games? 4. How can the purposes of the games be achieved? 5. How can the games be tested? In the short story "The Best Death Ever" by Niall Griffiths four boys are playing a game where they have to fake a death. The boy whoever fakes the best death wins the game. The four boys do not understand what they are doing and see the game, The Best Death Ever, as a fun game. Until one moment, when one of the boys misjudges the distance to ground and almost hang himself meanwhile his friends where shooting at him with their toy guns. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The story is a flashback of roughly 45–60 minutes of his life. The narrator looks back at that special episode of his life and he turns all nostalgic. The boys are strongly inspired by war movies and war stories told by the elderlies. The narrator has received a toy gun from his granddad. He knows a lot about it because of his big interest in war. As almost every other boy, they play games with guns and death involved. The problem is not that the boys play war, but that they cannot differentiate between where the fun stops. In this game Gavin almost killed himself, but it was not on purpose. A problem is, when the mom notices Gavin, she immediately saves him. Then she slaps the narrator. By slapping the narrator she punishes him for something that he does not know is wrong. The narrator is angry, because they have to award Gavin the price of the best death. "I would shock and shake them all with the violence of my going. But we never played the game again." Because his mother hit him and did not tell him what they did wrong, he does not understand consequences. Therefore he still wants to win the game next time and he wants to put even more violence in than Gavin did. Luckily they never played the game again, because nobody knows what would have happened then. This story is a perfect example to show that taking extra care of your children is highly necessary. If you do not teach your kid what is dangerous and what is not, it will have serious consequences. As in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What is the point of baseball anyway all you do is hit a ball and run. It's not like there is any point. We just go to a game waist valuable time in our life and pay them to do nothing. That's when I learned I was wrong. It was a rainy day when I wake up to the voice of my dad yelling, "Get out of bed I have some important news to tell you." I yell back in frustration "It is 7:00 AM." He doesn't care so he comes up stairs like always when I don't want to get out of bed and turns on the scolding lights. So I have to get up if I want to turn them off. So I get out of bed anyway, and put on some clothing from my closet and go down stairs. My dad is reading the ... Then I started getting lots of money. When that happened I bet bigger and better with friends and family. Then when I was watching baseball I saw a commercial for an online gambling thing for baseball it was called Baseball Pros. I went online and looked up "Baseball Pros" it said I had to be 18 and older so I made a fake account with my debt card I got for my 15 birthday for emergency's. So I did that and it said if I lost my first game I would get my money back. But I wasn't planning on loosing. But there was one problem the minimum amount of money I could do is $100. So I had used my Emergency money on my debt card, and placed my bet 2 days later I had doubled my $100 to $200. So I kept betting more money until I had $1000 saved up. One day I was in my room and my dad walked in without warning wondering what I was doing. He asked "What are you doing" he asked calmly. I replied to him and said, "Homework!" He said nothing and left. One day I was at a game for the Royals, if they won I would get $500. As always I was right and I had won. But I made a bad mistake and went online with a bad person and bet them $500. After that 2 days had passed and I had won but something was strange I kept getting messages from him saying "DEAD." When a person pays for a movie ticket, they understand the possibility of not receiving the ideal seating. Most movie theaters operate on a first come first served basis. In my estimation, the appropriate spacing between people at a movie theater is one seat. I don't have a problem sitting next to a stranger in a movie theater with one seat separating us. I understand sometimes sitting next to a stranger in inevitable, I have had to do it many times. Movie theaters become very dark once the movie starts, which causes people to feel uncomfortable because they are vulnerable without sight. I feel that the appropriate ... A lesson can be learned from any situation, whether it's what to do, or not to do. Another positive is that movies teach diversity. These popular commercial films are full of different ideas, people, and elements. When people watch diverse movies, it allows them to become more open and accepting in our everyday lives. A negative aspect is the violence that is included in these movies. Children and teens have seen these movies and get the ideas in their heads that it is okay to emulate these actions. Young minds are malleable, which could lead to different problems in the future of these young people. Another negative aspect of these movies is that they distract from life. This could also be a good thing because people need breaks sometimes, but we can't be distracted all of the time. If we had a choice between working and entering a world unlike our own through movies, most people would probably choose to be somewhere else mentally. 3. • 19. The Bourne Identity Essay The Bourne Identity In this essay, I compared the book, "The Bourne Identity" by Robert Ludlum and the film of the same name, directed by Doug Liman. The main character Jason Bourne was played by Matt Damon and Marie St. Jacques is played by Franka Potente. The book and movie were extremely different from each other. The book had more detail of the overall story, easier to comprehend and had character build up. While the movie seemed to only be interested in the action. I thought the book to be more fulfilling in its story and the movie to be predictable and tedious (considering I fell asleep). It didn't take long to notice they were completely different. As always, Jason Bourne proved he was ready for anything. Geoffrey Washburn was never seen or mentioned in the movie which like I said was a great disappointment, because that was the upbringing of Jason Bourne. He is partly responsible to creating the new Jason Bourne. He is also the a great help to Jason Bourne while he tries to find out who he was, and what he was. Another thing that is in the book, is the character Marie St. Jacques who was first Bourne's hostage. Who was in Swedish women working for the Canadian government. In the book she was very intelligent and sharp. She was able to escape from Bourne and then was caught by the cops. She was used by the cops to find Jason and once they found him, they tried to kill her. Though to her surprise Bourne had been following her and saved her. She then felt like she had to be by his side and help him find his identity and then quickly fell in love with him. None of what I said above happened in the film. Basketball was founded by a Canadian born instructor named James Naismith at the Young Men's Christian Association training school in Springfield, Massachusetts. The YMCA developed rules for the game which were later used in high schools, colleges, and settlement houses. The game grew bigger and popular in a lot of areas. Particularly in urban areas, where games were sponsored by schools, social clubs, churches, and companies. Colleges sponsored tournaments to attract players to their school. The best players around the world would attend these tournaments and invitational meetings in hope to earn scholarships or enter semipro leagues around American cities. Not only did men play the game of basketball but women, particularly in the south, received similar opportunities to play basketball for sponsored teams. Throughout the 20 centaury, basketball was a primary sport in inner–city playgrounds and urban recreational communities. College basketball was the main form of organized basketball beginning in the 1930s. The American basketball league began in the 1920s. The Bourne Identity is a novel, written by Robert Ludlum. The main character in this novel is Jason Bourne, a broken man, not only in the physical, but also in the emotional and psychological sense. Throughout the entire novel we see a man who is attempting to put the pieces of his life back together after suffering from a sudden onset of amnesia. There are several ways that this text relates to belonging and not belonging, all of which become increasingly obvious as the novel progresses. Through the loss of memory every aspect of an individual's sense of belonging is completely removed, and as Bourne struggles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 'You came for me. "She knew Jason Bourne, or the man called Jason Bourne, and she held on to the decency she knew was there. Oh, God, how she loved him so!". "And then he would leave; she would never know when and he could never tell her why. He owed her that; it would hurt deeply for a while, but the ultimate pain would be far less than that caused by the stigma of Cain. Cain! Marie. Marie! What have I done?" This is an example of a narrative technique used throughout the text. The author uses italics to show what Bourne is thinking, in doing this a deeper connection is created between the reader and the character, by revealing how Bourne really feels. This technique is used in other instances to show Bourne's raw emotion and distress. A man in the text know only as 'Carlos' is another individual of whom Bourne has a deep connection with. However, this connection and the sense of belonging that is derived from it, is of a very different nature, to the one he shares with Marie. Carlos is a central figure in Bourne's fragmented memory, however he cannot place where, how or why he knows this man. Again the narrative technique using italics to show Bourne's thoughts is used. • 25. Summary Of The Bourne Supremacy Intensified continuity as a concept had four parts to it that contributed to it. The first involved the use of rapid editing techniques meaning quicker cuts. With audiences slowly beginning to expect this sort of action they became accustomed and began enjoying these types of films. The next style was using a tight frame anytime there was a dialogue between characters or the scene itself. By focusing in on the actor, it placed an importance they compared the scene itself. The next style meant using motion in shots, allowing the director to convey to the audience about the emotion involved in that scene, using different lens lengths. Like using long lenses in outdoor shots catching the action that was happening farther away or using a wide–angle lens to capture more of what's going on in the scene. In the film, The Bourne Supremacy a 2004 mystery crime based film that follows Matt Damon's character Jason Bourne who's is framed by a Russian operative for stealing millions of dollars from the CIA. That same operative begins the hit for Jason hell bent on assassinating him. Intensified continuity in this movie is essentially using short, focused shots on the protagonists to maintain the audience's attention. • 27. A Farewell Of Arms, By Ernest Hemingway Major events throughout history have resulted from human desire for fulfillment by instituting war, preaching religion, and glorifying love. In A Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway introduces Frederic Henry, an American in the Italian Army during World War I. Frederic Henry's attempts to find his meaning in life, are represented by his attempts to discover the possibilities in war, religion, and love. He does this through his friendship with a Catholic priest, his intense love affair with nurse Catherine Barkley, who ends up pregnant with his child and eventually dies during labor, along with their child, and finally with his position as Lieutenant during the war. Throughout A Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway repeatedly mentions games in war, love, and religion, to illustrate his belief that humans use these as a way to play with and hopefully reach fulfillment but also use them as a distraction from the inevitable ending: death. Hemingway's repeated allusions to games in war, and his portrayal of Henry's attitude about war from beginning to end of the novel shift dramatically; illustrating that war is used as a tool or a game by humans to enrich their lives and avoid death, while systematically stealing the lives of others. From disinterest, to realization, and finally reflection, Henry experiences diverse changes in his ideals concerning war. At first Henry decides that "I would not be killed... The actual number you face will range from 5x to 500x and represents how many times you are going to have to gamble the bonus amount offered to you. The reason why a wagering requirement is implemented is clear, the online casino wants to make sure you walk away from a game with nothing. Blind Obedience in Shirley Jackson's The Lottery The author of "The Lottery" wrote this story "to shock the story's readers with a graphic demonstration of the pointless violence and general inhumanity in their own lives" (Jackson 211). This story reflects human behavior in society to show how although rules, laws or traditions do not make sense, people follow them. Throughout the story the three main symbols of how people blindly follow senseless traditions were the lottery itself, the color black, and the hesitation that people had towards the prize. The lottery in the story was the game in which the prize was death. In reality this lottery symbolized the game of life, and how our behavior as human beings influences our choices in life and therefore our destiny. In this case the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author uses this symbol to help readers relate the story to their everyday life more easily. In society people may think something is wrong but if they see a bunch of people doing it they'll go ahead and do it themselves. At the end of the story, when the winner was picked, the narrator says "A stone hit her on the side of the head" (Jackson 217). This quote refers that nobody saw who was the first one to hit her but as soon as the stone hit her head ¨then they were upon her" (218). People at first were unsure whether to start throwing the stones or not, but as soon as one threw the first one, they all followed without hesitation. This story had a graphical representation that seemed to be abnormal or incoherent in the way it was presented, because in our society it is not normal and it is against the law to have a game in which the prize is death, but although it is not normal and against the law it happens in our everyday life. Although we do not have this kind of tradition anymore (within the United States,) we do have other rules, or laws, which instead of help people, it kills them little by little and some people decide to take justice in their hands. • 47. What Is The Difference Between James Bond And James Bond Who would win?Two of the greatest super spies are pinned up against one another, and only one can reign victor. I'm going to compare the movie adaptations of both James Bond and Jason Bourne. For this debate, I will be comparing the Daniel Craig–Era Bond (for reference; these films include Casino Royale [2006], Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre) and Jason Bourne as he appears in these three films: "The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Supremacy," and "The Bourne Ultimatum." These iconic characters have many similarities and differences, but I'm going to explain to you why BLANK is better, based on their place in pop culture; their skills; such as martial arts training, gadgets, and spy capabilities; friends/allies; and complexity as an overall character. James Bourne's pop culture presence is significantly lacking compared to James Bond. Bourne simply hasn't been around long enough to establish its place in the eyes of younger viewers. James Bond has always been an iconic character in pop culture, however this new iteration of Bond hasn't quite hit the mark of an icon as some other past Bonds have. Yet, every time a new Bond movie comes out, audiences are ripe with anticipation. You just can't say the same about Jason Bourne. Although Bourne is an American, the Brit has a more powerful and iconic pop culture presence. The two spies have similar training in martial arts; both are very skilled, and experienced fighters. However, Bourne's usage of objects around gives him ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They were playing a doubleheader that afternoon, and it was bottom of the ninth inning when they had to stop the game. "If we had some big fancy lights like them city boys we wouldn't have'ta quit playin' whenever it gets dark out," complained Jimmy as he kicked up some dirt off the field. "Yeah, well it's kinda hard to do that when we ain't got no electricity out here," his brother Noah replied solemly. "The worst part is that we were actually winnin' for once Jimmy!" The boys went home dissapointed that night after coming so close to their first win this year. "Momma we're home!" The boys shouted together as they walked through the front door. They made their way to the kitchen where they knew dinner would be waiting for them. Jimmy and Noah sat down at the table and instantly started shoving food in their mouths, practically inhaling it. "How was your day boys?" Their mother asked with enthusiasm all over her face. She genuinely loved hearing about their games. "Well momma we lost our first game pretty bad, but I really think we woulda won the next one if we could've finished the stupid thing. It's just impossible to see anything out there when it starts gettin' dark, ya know?" Jimmy was talking with food in his mouth, but she could understand enough to figure out what he was saying. • 51. Game Theory In Water Resource Management 1. Introduction Water resources management is involved with various beneficiaries that may have conflicting interests (Veeren & Tol 2003; Wei et al. 2010). Game theory–based models have been used in water resources management to address water conflicts and are recognized as appropriate methods (Wei et al. 2010). Game theory and its mathematical background were proposed and used in economics for the first time by Neumann and Morgenstern (1953). Different forms of games have been suggested by many researchers to address water conflicts alongside other conflict resolution methods such as Graph Model for Conflict Resolution (GMCR) (Kilgour 1995), Adjusted Winner (Massoud 2000), and Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (Giordano et al. 2005). (1982) compared the separable costs–remaining benefits (SCRB) method with simple proportional allocation schemes such as Shapley value and Variants of the core, both belong to cooperative games family. Dinar et al. (1992) used cooperative game theory to question reasonableness and acceptability of cooperation in the use of irrigation water. Parrachino et al. (2006) published a review of different applications of cooperative game theory considering various water uses such as multi–objective water projects, irrigation, groundwater, hydropower, urban water supply, sewage disposal and transboundary water disputes. Raquel et al. (2007) applied game theory to a groundwater conflict in Mexico and tried to balance benefits from agricultural production with negative environmental impacts among 12 alternative groundwater extraction scenarios. All people, on some level, desire to feel a sense of belonging that will emerge from the connections made with people, places, groups, communities and the larger world. Belonging cannot be achieved without an understanding of oneself and their surroundings. Belonging encompasses many different themes, several of which are explored in Romulus My Father. Chris confronts his wife the next day saying "Hey, don't you ever take my son away from me again. You hear me? ... Don't you take my son away from me again." Chris, like Romulus, feels that he belongs with his son and from this belonging he is able to overcome the many obstacles he faces in life as a single father. Although there is no filial theme explored in the song the World at Large, the line "I like songs about drifters – books about the same. They both seem to make me feel a little less insane." Indicates that for the songwriter, a sense of belonging is found in people that are similar to him, through the connections he has with other people. As Bourne is searching for information of his past he learns that he lived in Paris. At once he knows this is true, and from this understanding a sense of belonging to a place, Paris, began to emerge. He then travels to Paris, which is the setting for the majority of the text. • 55. Theories Of The Utimatum Game We consider a two player game, where one player (the proposer) makes an offer to split an endowment/an amount of money between the two players and the other player (the responder) can accept or reject the offer in an ultimatum game (but has no choice in the dictator game). In an ultimatum game, if the other player accepts, the money is split according to the proposal and if the other player rejects, neither player receives anything. As suggested by game theory, the only sub–game perfect Nash equilibrium of the game is the strategy pair in which player one offers zero and player 2 accepts all offers. Rational responders should accept even the smallest positive offer, since the alternative is getting nothing. In a large number of human studies, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As per what the theory predicts (based on non–cooperative game theory), the dictator will allocate nothing to the receiver in a simple dictator game. When property rights are introduced in the dictator game, 'dictator earnings treatment', we expect dictators to produce as much wealth as possible and give nothing to the receiver and in the receiver earnings treatment, we expect individuals in group Y to produce the lowest earnings level possible and the proposer to offer a higher share. (Spraggon, 2008). Thus, this theory will be validated if we observe in the experiment that the give rate of the participants fall in the dictator game when property rights are given to proposers. In that case, we will accept the hypothesis. In the ultimatum game, the responder will not be willing to accept low offers if he/she has earned the money and the dictator will not be expected give zero amount knowing this. If the property rights are with the proposer, then too, he will give be expected to give more to the responder than in a dictator game, fearing that very low offers will make the partner reject his/her proposal. A slight mishap happened in Forensics we found out that only two teams could compete, so my team had to drop out , Chemistry Lab was mainly basic kinetics and gas laws during Game On we had to learn Scratch and then use that knowledge to create a game, The last event was Keltic Vehicle, in this event we had to pre–design a vehicle. It helped working together because we could share ideas to each other. The Scratch program was simple and easy to master. We did really well at studying and mastering the program. There were some issues with designing the background and characters. The limited time made it hard to make a complicated and interesting game. The game wasn't as accurate as we had hoped but it was one of my favorites. We also actually knew what we were doing. With the knowledge in Scratch I know that I'll do better next year. Doing gome on made me realise how much I enjoyed programming, and I know that skill will come in handy later in life. For Electric Vehicle I learned that time is very important with designing and programming but working on the vehicle was different we remodeled it about three times to make it work correctly and stop swerving to the left. The rules were simple: make the vehicle come to a complete stop when it hits the set distance. Our way of building the vehicle was to base it on a click system; in the system we had buttons that had a certain amount of time it would make the motors go for. The rules stated that the vehicle had to be between "nine to twelve meters", (in distance of which it could travel), but at the competition it was eleven meters. When preparing for the distance runs we had to figure out how many clicks it took to go one meter. Unfortunately, it was a little more complex; it accelerated so it didn't go at a linear rate, ... The steps taken to learn the skills, positions, and history it takes to play the game of baseball have been stored in the very core of my being, but I was launched into this learning process. • 65. Why The Paradox Between Practitioners Of The Different... 1. Introduction It is well known that economics is the study of how individuals and groups make decisions with limited resources so as to best satiate their needs and wants. Similar to many disciplines, economics relies on well established assumptions; among others include: individuals base their choices on stable, well–defined preferences. In addition, many economic models are built on the assumption that individuals are solely motivated by self–interest. Indeed, the relatively miniscule consideration for fairness in standard economic theory sticks out like a sore thumb when one studies between economics and the other social science disciplines. The question remains, why the paradox between practitioners of the different disciplines? A potential hypothesis is that economists themselves are poles apart in the sense that economists behave differently in situations involving social cooperation. If proven right, a natural follow–up question is whether this distinction is nature or nurture. This paper tests the differences between economists and non–economists by using two quite famous economic games: the Ultimatum Game and also the Dictator Games. Having participants play both games is the key innovation of this study's design, allowing yours truly to separate altruism and equity from strategy. 2. Literature Review In the process of reviewing prior research on these matter, we discovered a study by Marwell and Ames (1981) who found that economists "... more prone to ... • 73. Fairness In The Ulstimatum Game Paradigm In what is known as the ultimatum game paradigm, people have an opportunity to split a pie of money between themselves and another player as they see fit. However, if the other player rejects the offer, no player wins anything. If both players were perfectly rational and did not incorporate fairness considerations into their decisions, then those making offers would always offer $1 while keeping the rest and those receiving offers would always accept the offer since winning $1 is better than $0. However, people often reject offers where they receive less than 20% of the pie because they perceive the offers to be unfair. Essentially, they derive more utility from denying the proposer's allocation than they would have if the proposed allocation went through. Even though they have complete outcome control, dictators typically do not take all the money available in the pie despite having the option to do so. Syllabus Dramatic Play Generally dramatic play has been proven is one of the main activities that can enhance child emotional development and can be the entertainment for the children. The game we would like to propose in our syllabus is "Live in Your Space". In this dramatic game, the instructors will give instructions to kids to build their own space such as school, library, post office, kitchen, grocery or office. The kids will be divided into smaller groups of three or four peoples for them to work together to build their own space in 30 to 45 minutes period and after that the kids need to act the roles they have chosen since children actually love to pretend as adults. There are various toys provided in the childcare that kids can use to build the setting they want. For example a group of kids wanted to build a classroom setting. They can use everything in their surrounding for the setting such as books, number or alphabets blocks, some cards and etc. They also can arrange the chairs and tables in order to make it similar with a classroom by help from teacher. In retrospect to where I am today it its safe to say that I faced several unforeseen obstacles in order to achieve my greatest goal in life – that of playing professional football, where do I begin? In order to understand who I am today let us begin by understanding where I came from, a few things I have been through that made this strong individual today. I was raised in Toronto where everything is beautiful and nice but within that beauty there was darkness, pain and neglect. I was raised in the rough parts of Toronto but even though times was rough and hard I had a family to come home to. When I got older about sixteen of age I then began to understand the selfish cold place around me, it was full of hatred and pain. I tried to look through the rough side of things and make things a better place in my mind, listen to music and look deep within my environment and see the beauty in this place. When I was with my friends we decided to go to a party to hang out with our local friends, have a good time and catch up. When the party was done I wouldn't expect my whole life to change. I always dreamt my close friends and I would some day get away from this negative place and be free to give back to our community. All of this was about to change in a flash of an eye.
