2. The Front Cover
This is the front cover of my
music magazine ‘Helter
Skelter’. As this is the first
initial draft(s) of my magazine
I did not feel the need to use
colour, as I wanted to use
these drafts as more of a
basic representation of my
school magazine layout.
3. The Masthead
The mast head of my magazine is in a almost handwritten font like
the magazine ‘rolling Stone’. Underneath the masthead there is a
statement that says ‘The Complete Rock Magazine’ this is there to
challenge a potential readers views on what is the most ‘Complete
Rock Magazine’ . Next to that statement there is an issue number
(119) to show what issue this magazine is.
4. The Main Image
The Main image on the cover
of the magazine is the most
famous or the most exclusive
artist. The artist is the only
image on the front cover as I
wanted to highlight the
importance of the artist.
5. The Sell Lines
The sell lines I have
produced are there to try
and make shopper’s more
interested in the
magazine; and it is an
indication to what other
artists and stories are
available in the magazine.
6. The Splash & Pull Quote
The splash of the magazine is the name of the artist “Howell”. I
wanted to only used the latter part of his name to signify the
importance of the artist. Underneath the splash is a Pull Quote
that says “How Music GCSE changed my life”. This is giving the
reader a glimpse into a topic of discussion in the magazine.
7. The Footer
The purpose of the footer is to show further
information that can be found in the magazine. In my
footer I have incorporated the names of other famous
artists to show that they are also in the magazine.
8. Further Information
Other information that is relevant to the magazine is the barcode
that I have located on the right hand side of the magazine front
page. I have also included a pug near the top right side of the
magazine to indicate the price of the magazine in bigger detail.
