Persuasive Essay About Eulogy
Carolina, Its 0010 on Thursday morning, September 28, 2017. I can't sleep. Not sure when ill finish
this but I'm starting now. I've been thinking about you and all the things I want to talk to you about.
They won't all come out here. I figured I would write down what I want to tell you, just in case we
don't find the time to get together. The things I want to tell you in my opinion are very positive and
constructive to continuing a relationship between us for the future. A friendship is a relationship too
so don't jump to conclusions yet. Some of these might be tough questions for you to answer and if
you're not ready to answer them then that's ok but it would help me immensely if you can shed any
kind of light on these subjects to help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only commitment I would like is for you to not ignore your feelings for me or at the very least,
me in general. I would much rather us carry these feelings forward because I feel like if we ignore
them now we won't get another chance and that would hurt more. But if you feel like that's not
possible then I will accept that and we can still be friends. I'm not trying to burden you, I want to
help carry your burdens. I'm one of the most laid–back guys you will meet. I'm extremely
understanding, I'm a great listener and I think I can give some overall badass advice. I can also be
extremely serious especially when it comes to something I care deeply for or kicking your ass in
pool, bowling, shuffleboard, FIFA, the list goes on. I haven't quite let you in either. There are a lot of
things you don't know about me too. I've been through depression though I always told myself I
wasn't depressed and I would get through it. I eventually did and even though I'm still striving to
find my true happiness and true calling I'm in such a better place than I was during those years.
During that time, I was a piece of shit. I escaped the reality of the situation I was in through drugs,
alcohol, partying and doing useless stuff to pass the time. I lied to my parents and friends about
many things. I told them everything was fine and it wasn't. I wanted to be independent and figure
that shit out on my

An Experience In My Life
Have you ever had a that one experience that open your eyes, an experience unlike any of your other
experiences, an experience that you will never forget till you die ? Well it happened to me, and it
changed my life forever. I'm just a normal boy from Washington, pretty average I would say, there's
nothing important about me, nothing special. I don't really have friends so if I do die early I won't be
missed that much. I'm a senior and I'm supposed to sign up for colleges like everybody else, but not
me, because I really don't know what to do with my life. I was walking home from school it was just
a five minute walk. But it still tires me out because of all the books I have in my backpack. I finally
reached our street, it's just the usual nothing new, Ms. Gomez walking her dog, The Jacksons still as
noisy as ever that even though they're inside their house you can still hear them playing their music
loudly, and then there is our house. While opening the door, I almost step on something, it was a
pocket watch. Now why would a pocket watch be here? I also had no clue. I entered a different
place, which is clearly not my house, I was outside of a city. I was speechless, for I have never seen
anything like this in my entire life. There were green buildings as tall as the heavens that it could
actually reach the palace on top of Mount Olympus, A great wall that is the city entrance, embedded
with jewels so sparkly it would make Hermes want to steal them, and a real golden sun

Analysis Of The Book ' Carrol '
"Carrol, is the casserole done yet? I'm starving. I haven't eaten since 5:30." "It's 5:45 now," said
Carrol. She bent down and gave a small piece of chicken to their cat, Lucky.
"Exactly," said Ben through his wrinkly cracked lips, "I still haven't filled up my second stomach
yet," earning a grin from gray–haired Carrol, across the kitchen, leaning on the counter.
Carrol smiled and replied, "We still have Alice to wait on. Oh, I'm so excited. We haven't seen her in
so long."
She was interrupted by the loud chime of the doorbell. Ben leaned on his cane to stand up, and
slowly made his way to the windowless front door. Once he opened the door, Carrol heard the small
chatter of Ben and her daughter, Alice. As she took the casserole out of the oven, she heard Ben
invite her into the kitchen in his deep gruff voice.
There stood rosy–cheeked Alice, with her curly blonde hair and bundled in her gray sweaters and
trench coat. Behind her stood a small, thin boy with a sniffling, red nose and wireframe glasses. He
carried a small black duffel bag on his shoulder, and wore a mud–green coat.
"Mom, it's so great to see you!" exclaimed Alice.
"Alice, you as well. Ah, who is this?" Carrol said, looking back at the boy.
"Oh," said Alice in her cheerful voice, "This is Ethan."
He held out a gloved hand, and introduced himself, "Pleasure to meet you," he said through a
congested, nasally voice. Carrol shook his hand as Ethan sniffed the kitchen air. "What is that I
smell?" he said.

Short Story: Moving Away
I picked up my heavy bag, intending to throw it over my shoulders but someone grabbed it from me
before I could. I twirled around, intending to kick the thief before he could break through but he
stopped me with ease. "It's exactly as I've heard from Mom. You really did take karate lessons." He
said with a grin. "But don't think you can surpass the person who received 3rd place twice in a
karate tournament." "Itsuki–nii!" I snatched my bag back from him. "Humph, it's not like you got
first and not to mention that was more than ten years ago." "Ouch. How cruel." He then smiled at
me, welcoming back home. "You could at least let me..." He glanced at the person behind me,
stopping in the middle of his sentence. "...Carry your bag." "This is the person I told you about over
the phone. His name is Tamaki, everyone calls him Tama." I said, stepping aside so they can greet
each other. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I ignored his comment as we climbed into his car. "How is Yui doing? She's about eight months
pregnant, right?" They finally married about a year ago, but I wasn't able to make the wedding due
to school and work. At least, that's what I told them at that time. "Yeah, she'll be due soon." He
glanced at me from the side. "I heard the reason you took karate lessons was because of school?" I
sighed. "Well, it was something like that. You know, a new school and everything." "I

How To Kill Leather-Personal Narrative
Death's P.O.V.
I finally received payment for killing Leather, little did they know she was with Devils Company. It
took awhile for them to get the confirmation they needed. Who ever Leather called did a good job at
fooling them, I don't know what she has done for there to be a three million dollar bounty on her
head, but it has to be pretty bad. I need to find out, it's driving me crazy.
Leather is nothing like what I thought she would be. The woman is beautiful, smart, spunky and a
mean streak in her that I absolutely love. When she fought mom I was seriously impressed, the club
noticed how mom looked after she came down and I had to explain what happened. I noticed that
none of the guys or women fuck with her after that, which impressed ... Show more content on

I had Wheels load her chopper into ours and go back to the club and to start research on the names
she gave us, but not to tell anybody anything about it. Also telling him we wouldn't be there for a
couple of days. She needed to let all of her emotions out without an audience.
I ran in getting a room key from the motel the club owns, picking Leather back up and took her to
our room. I laid her on the bed, pulling off her boots. Leather sat up looking around with tears still
pouring out of her eyes. "Death, where is my bottle, I need a drink." I sat down on the side of the
bed, "baby, you don't need any more alchohol. Talk to me, get it all out.
She looked down at the bed "can I ask you for a favor?" Before I could answer she told me what she
needed. "Please Death just put a bullet in my head, I can't take anymore, please just end my misery."
She was still looking down at the bed with tears pouring out. I picked her up putting her on my lap,
"Look at me Leather. Don't say that shit. Baby, you still have a lifetime to live, a little girl and
brothers that need you. I know you probably have heard this before, but I will help you, I'll help you
fix all this so you can be with your family again. If that's what will make you happy then I will do
whatever it takes. I'm sorry you have had a shit life like that honey, I really am. When you sober up

Personal Narrative-Where Is A Tattoo?
I've been alive for a very long time. I'm not gray–haired, or saggy skinned. I'm actually quite young.
You see, at a very young age, I got into a very gruesome accident. Doctors say I was lucky to
survive; but by now, I understand that something happened before my supposed 'accident'. I don't
remember every detail of the occurrence seeing as it was more than 350 years ago.
A little before my disaster, I saw something glowing. Kind of like a strange orb. Now at the time, I
didn't know what it was or what it signified; but that didn't keep me away from it. I was a child
when this happened. So, being the curious shit head I was, I touched it. The orb sent me quivering to
the ground. It felt as though hundreds of boulders tumbled on top of me. I was left with only one
token. A scar in the shape of a heart with the letter 'S' inscribed into my forearm. At the time, I didn't
know what it indicated; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A tattoo. A lot of people always question about my 'tattoo'. Asking questions like: 'does that
represent your partner?' or 'what does the 'S' stand for?' I'd always respond with, 'Shannon. Her
name is Shannon.' What they don't know is that Shannon is the name of my first sweetheart. I
haven't met my partner in this century yet. Normally, I'd find her at the age of twenty; but I haven't
yet.
Here're a few things about my so called 'power'. Over time, I've discovered a lot about myself. This
'power' –– or rather, curse –– didn't fully develop until my original age of twenty–six. At that age, I
gained mass amounts of different abilities. I didn't know anything about myself and just had to
know. Unluckily, I learned about my abilities the hard way. Shannon, my first ever lover, died at the
age of fifty–eight. It's a pretty young age to me. I mean, I am essentially 350 years old. My abilities
are just based on my love life, which includes:

– Wow! Okay.
I've never figured you for the business type.
Let alone with Kat.
Does he even have money? Not so long ago he was here looking for his old job back.
– He'll be fine.
– My dad always says...
just because you get along doesn't mean you'll be good business partners.
Lelo, if you help me...
I'll cover all your medical costs.

I won't stay for long.
Okay. There you go.
Hey, babe.
Why do you look so surprised?
What? Were you hoping to catch me with someone?
No, but we have more serious matters to discuss.
And that's my cue to go jog. Bye, guys.
Cheers!
My dad wants to meet you.
Why would he want to meet me?
We're not getting married or anything.
He wants to know who he's going into business with.
Is it really necessary?
It's his money, love.
He does know that we're dating, right?
I haven't told him yet.
I haven't had the chance to tell him.
Do you think he'll have a problem with me being...
– black?
– Of course not.
He's very forward–thinking.
Look, he's just being cautious because I'm his daughter.
You'll be fine.
Just be yourself.
Thank you.
Listen, love...
I should've spoken to you first before talking to Lelo. And I'm sorry.
You're confusing me.
Why Nompumelelo out of all people?
Because had you not met me...
Lelo's the kind of girl you would've married.
Well...
I might find her physically attractive, but psychologically she's damaged.
And why would I want my child to grow up around such a person?
It's true, Zandile.
The woman's crazy and unpredictable.
Tell me, if she goes through with this pregnancy...
and then disappears with my child?
What then?
Have you thought about that?

Reflection Of Journal Writing : Personal Aspects Of...
Reading your own writing can be excruciatingly boring. Your mind already knows what's on the
paper because it made the words form the piece you are looking at. I always try to make the
experience an adventure. Thinking of the rereading as a deep dive. Deep diving sounds exciting,
almost pirate–like. You get to look for treasure. Or in this case writing devices that keep popping up
in your writing. My deep dive produced a few things I hadn't noticed while writing my journals. I
found that in my journals I tend to follow the troupe of chronologically filing the events, that I'm
secretive and very emotional. As I dived into researching myself, I found that in my technique for
journal writing I'm very straight forward. I wrote down what happened each day in chronological
order. For example in Artifact 1, I go through a bad day, "Waking up late on days of my morning
class is absolutely the worst." On to "When class ended I hurried out to my car to get food before
work. Lo and behold, I had a parking ticket because I hadn't picked up my parking pass yet." Lastly,
"I get on my comfiest pajamas, sit down and start homework, but the internet isn't working." After
reading over this artifact I came to the conclusion, I do this because when I go back to reflect, it
makes the most sense to go in order. When you read my journals, you get a perception of what my
days are like and how I feel about them. They make sense because I go in order, which in a sense is
logos. The logical

Mrs. Turner: A Short Story
"Hey, Squid, play louder!" That's my music teacher Mrs.Turner. You could say that i'm pretty good

named Earl and his brother Randy. Earl plays the drums and well randy just sits by him and watches.
Randy isn't the smartest person ever he is always touching me and poking me. And the teacher isn't

I would just play the notes but I dropped my clarinet when I was running. Ok I have four straight
stick that I found laying right next to me i'll use them for the M. I have to remember where these
sticks are so I can come back to them if I go looking for more. I can still hear the t–rex in a distance.
I'm gonna look in this cave to see if anything is in here. It's getting kinda of dark so I might need to
find the right rocks to start a fire. I remember that when I was just a little boy and my grandfather
told me, " Son if you're ever lost and need warmth or light this is how you start a fire. First you have
to find the right rocks to use and they have to have to have flint on them and they have a glassy look
to them. You'll know which one they are once you find them. Now if you have found them you
wanna get some rocks (any kind) then make a small circle with them and find some brush to put in
the circle. Then grab your rocks and hit them together really fast. Then one a spark flies off and goes
into the fire pit then it will start." Ok I can do this I see a little pond close to me that had some rocks
by it. I just have to make sure that there are no dinosaurs near me. CRUNCH CRUNCH I don't see
any dinosaurs near. Hey I found some rocks! I see

"What are you going to do?" Stacy asked, rising to her feet with a questioning look on her face.
"I'm going to get a warrant to exhume Ryan's body. The body in this picture has red hair. Bright red
hair. Unless he dyed it the night before, this is not Ryan Dawson," Bobby said. Without a goodbye,
he turned and hurried out the door.

"I'm on my way," Ben advised as he saved the document he was working on and locked his

made with apprehension. The dread crept up into his thoughts like a mist. He brought his hand up to
his throat and loosened his tie when it suddenly felt like he was choking on it.
When he finally pulled into the parking lot and parked, he just caught sight of Zack and Tina
disappearing into the front door. He reluctantly got out and walked into the station. He was directed
to Det. Wyatt's office where Zack and Tina were already sitting.
"Close the door, please," Bobby requested and Ben complied. Josh took a chair from in front of his

Pursuing A Counseling Career
This past week I have been doing research for a career paper. In order to research everything I need
to know I will be using cfnc.org. One of my goals is finding a career that is right for me. Another
one is figuring out what college I need to go to so I can be in that work field. To do this I have taken
a Career Cluster Survey. In this survey I had three top clusters that are best fitted for me they
include, Health science, hospitality and tourism, and Human services. Out of all of them I'm very
certain I will be picking a career from human services. (cfnc.org) Another requirement for this paper
is, I had to take a Basic Skills Survey. My top basic skill is active listening and that is in the high
range. When I was looking at the career list for that skill I found the career I'm interested in. All of
my skills matched up except one, the math skill. I have found out all of this information from

the thing that pulls my life together, meaning that it will be my backbone in life. The average hourly
wage is 30.63, if i get more experienced then the hourly wage is 44.76. With that being said I should

U2 V. Negativland Summary
I think that the court's ruling should be overturned because I don't believe that Negativland violated
the copyright law by sampling from U2.
In the article entitled "U2 Negativland the case from our side" Negativland believes their work does
not violate copyright law. Negativland asserted, "It was used for purposes of fair comment, parody,
and cultural criticism" (151). In other words, Negativland's work was intended to make fun of U2's
song entitled "I still haven't found what i'm looking for", which is protected under the fair use part of
the copyright law.
I agree because the artist named Weird Al Yankovic. He uses the instrumentals for a popular songs
and changes the lyrics to make fun of it. Yankovic has never been sued for his work because they are
parodies. Since Negativland made a parody of U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", they
should not be sued.
Negativland released their album with a huge title saying "U2" and "Negativland" in a smaller font
with an image of the WW2 U–2 spy plane on it. U2's label, Island Records, sued Negativland
claiming that they violated the trademark law because

Negativland defended their case by asserting that"artistic freedom for all is more important to the

I Believe In Reading Analysis
I believe in Reading I believe in reading. Not because I'm forced to like it, but I take pride in it
unlike others.
People think it's a waste of time to spend when there's other things outside in the world to do or on
social media. For me it's hard to find someone my age reading, maybe I haven't been looking right
or they really don't care and rather use their mobile devices; I don't blame them, they are addicting
and a distraction, I mean I use mine everyday so I shouldn't be talking but the point is people are
missing out on something amazing.A different experience. Some people don't read, either because
they don't like it or they haven't found what they're into yet. Our generation is still growing more
into using devices and relying on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How I got across reading is I stumbled onto an audiobook I couldn't turn away from, so after hearing
about half of it I knew I had to buy the book I did and I couldn't be happier with it, It was a different
experience than I imagined during the times then and now I still live through my characters mostly
because it made me feel they became real and trying to get to know them as if they were here. Once
I have a book in my hands I only focus on that and won't put it down like my life depended on it.
People say I read too much but "Hey" there's never too much reading and doing something you love
to do.
There are benefits of reading 1.) Is Vocabulary Expansion: being articulate and well–spoken is of
great help in any profession. 2.) Better handwriting skills: exposure to published, well–written work
has a noted effect on one's own writing, as observing the cadence, fluidity, and writing styles of
other authors will invariably influence your own work. And these are just the beginning of the
possibilities it can do for me and you. I believe in

A Short Story : A Story?
It was just a normal day in New York, until I got home. The place was trashed, nothing was stolen so
I tried to call my mom. She didn't answer but I heard ringing so I went to go look for it, it was my
Moms phone knowing my mom she never ever leaves her phone. So, I called my brother. "Hey,
Apollo, you know where mom is?", I questioned. "Nope, haven't seen her since this morning.
Why?", Apollo proclaimed. "Well, the house was broken into and her phones here", I stated. "I'm
coming home", Apollo said. "Ok bye", i said. "Bye", Apollo said. Apollo came home soon after that.
We waited till sun–down to call the police because we were hoping our mom would be back by then,
but she wasn't. I feared for my mom. So, my brother and I went to the police station and the cops

Creative Writing: Internal House Of Pancakes
Tesco was relatively quiet for seven o'clock in the morning; barely anyone was walking about. Then
again, most supermarkets don't get a lot of business early Saturday morning. Going to the grocery
store in the morning is a perfect because it's practically empty. The only people who hang around the
store during this time of day are the antisocial cashiers, early to bed, early to risers, and ex–army
doctors looking for pancakes mixes. Although, in America, we have the Internal House of Pancakes,
so if Britain had an IHOP then John and Sherlock wouldn't be in this mess. I digress. John Watson

he's having one of his sissy fits. He usually tries to interject every so often, but would go unheard
because of the high–pitched whining sounds streaming from the detectives mouth. Worried and a bit
annoyed by his friend's silence, Sherlock asked if he was even listening to him. Hearing only
silence, the detective finally looked down at his phone to see that the caller had already hung up and

Becoming A Writer
I started writing fiction in elementary school, and never looked back. Tucked away among old report
cards and craft projects, my mother still has the multicolored notebook containing my first short
story, written when I was in first grade. (It's a treat. I may share it here at some point.) So, when I
say that writing in ingrained in me, that it's part of who I am, I mean it.
When I was planning for college it was my dream to become a writer, but I knew that I wasn't living
in a time where I could hang my hopes on becoming an author. I turned to journalism, which I still
greatly respect as a professional field, but it didn't have what I was looking for. The same goes for
screenwriting; I may have put an emphasis on it while studying television and film, but my heart
wasn't in it. For me, it was and has always been creative writing – short stories, novels, poetry on
occasion. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I want to write more, that I need to write. But first? Reading. If you've read Stephen King's On
Writing: A Memoir of the Craft you're likely familiar with his words: "If you want to be a writer,
you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two
things that I'm aware of, no shortcut." For someone who has loved reading for longer than writing, I
let it slip away, reading only a few books each year. Becoming a reader again gave me the
opportunity to explore more books about writing as well. They haven't all been as pivotal for me as

A Short Story : A Story?
The first day of our sophomore year, I stood in the parking lot by my truck before school started.
Other students continued to pull in the parking lot, I was waiting so I could talk to Casey; I haven't
talked to her since that night Amanda tried fighting her. I'm still trying to understand why she didn't
fight back, Casey has always been a fighter. She was gone most of the summer, that's what my dad
said anyways. Bentley will be one very soon; Amanda and I fight all the time but my son is my
world. He's the most amazing boy ever. I'm lucky to have him. Ashlyn walked up to me "Hey." I
looked at her "Is Casey with you?" She frowned "You don't know?" I became frantic "What?" She
covered her mouth and tried to hold back "She's still in California for..." She stopped and took in a
deep breath "She has stage 3 lung cancer Tomas. She's had it since... Since last year. She was
diagnosed in January. Treatments have barely helped her." My heart shattered, how did I not notice
she was sick? I couldn't be here today, I had to see her before it was too late. Ashlyn looked at me
frowning "Call her. She's refusing help now." I jumped into my truck and drove, I drove all the way
to California with no idea of where I was going. I had to see her and convince her to fight it. I
couldn't lose her for good, I'd go back where I was. Drugged up and out of my mind. After driving
for a full 14 hours, I arrived in San Diego, I got off the highway and found a place to park, I called

Language Reflection Essay
Language strongly influences our perception of the world. I found that even only taking high school
French really helped me to see other languages and cultures in a new light. We had an exchange
with a school in a small town in Quebec, and being able to somewhat speak and understand another
language helped me to see that the same messages, ideas, and thoughts are communicated,
regardless of language. It's not that I though Quebecois didn't ever tell jokes, I had just never
thought about it. Learning another language expanded my worldview. Although Qi speaks two
languages fluently, he hasn't found a practical application or real–life occurrence of linguistic
relativism. Referring to the textbook example of some cultures saying "the north side of the
bookcase," Qi says that, just like in Canada, some Chinese people will say "go North then East" and
some will say "turn left then turn right." I also haven't noticed my sense of the world changed by the
meaning of words in different languages. My Grade 11 French teacher first told me about linguistic
relativism, but either I didn't learn enough French to alter my mindset, or I hadn't reflected enough
on my language learning, or I never realized my mindset slowly changing. The example I gave in
the first paragraph isn't due to linguistic relativism, it's due to understanding whole sentences, rather
than the nuances of wording. A big example of English creating expectations of gender roles is
through gendered terms like fireman,

Why I Want To Be A Tomboy
When I was a kid, I was always considered a tomboy because I played with the boys, liked to get
muddy, and took "no crap from no one". I was confused on what the term tomboy meant. Does the
term mean that I want to be a boy? Well, I didn't want to be one; I felt like a girl, I looked like a girl.
"I am a girl!!", I would scream back. The term forced me to stay in this tiny box of what society has
portrayed out to be a girl. I made myself feel uncomfortable by painting my nails, playing with
dolls, and wearing dresses. Why was it that my older sisters always wanted me to wear a dress? I
hated wearing dresses. Middle school didn't get any better. I was made fun of for being flat–chested
but then mocked for not showing off my body like the "other

Personal Legend Research Paper
Where I found my personal legend cannot be found at the time of my childhood. In fact, I didn't do
much of anything in my childhood. Growing up, and even now, I had a vague sense of what I would
be doing when I'm older, as if I was looking through a lens that's stuck on a blurry aperture.
Whatever career interests I had were fleeting and unfitting. During my childhood, I lived in
Hanford, an obscure farm town just south of Fresno. I spent my days being raised by my
grandmother, sitting alone in my house and eating dinner alone until my parents came home while
the same news channel played on TV. It's nothing depressing; I even remember enjoying the
solitude. I had a few friends, although I saw them as how people see most of their friends on social
media: I do not really know who you are, but I sort of do, I guess, even if I have known you for
years. Regardless, I was happy with being alone most of the time. This is the source of my
introversion and the intensity of my self–awareness. Nevertheless, my strong sense of self–
awareness doesn't always mean I'll know what to do, and it doesn't mean I'll be okay. ... Show more

A few months ago I found out about Oskar's plan. I first received a call from a woman named Abby
Black who wanted to talk to him. He wasn't home at that time, so she explained to me what had
happened. Apparently, he visited her not so long ago looking for answers for a key he found inside a
vase in his father's closet. I didn't know what to believe, so I went to his room looking for evidence.
He's a smart kid and hiding secrets has always been one of his specialties. I looked everywhere, but
couldn't find anything until I opened one of his top closet doors. I was surprised with what I
discovered. Everything was there, the 472 "Black" names listed in chronological order starting from
Aaron Black; a map with their location and a notebook with the time and years it would take him to
meet them all.
Should I be mad? If Abby wouldn't have called, would he have mentioned any of this to me? I'm

Hallmark: What Doesn T Make Themselves
That's an interesting way of looking at it. I don't think I've had anyone put it quite that way.
I write a lot in my spare time. I used to write all the time every day. And now I just renovate 'cause

Where The Streets Have No Name Meaning
2. The theme of The Joshua Tree is based on the spiritual uncertainty of Bono's experiences in life.
In the song "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", Bono is in a moment of spiritual doubt.
He writes "You broke the bonds and you loosed the chains, carried the cross... I still haven't found
what I'm looking for (U2 25–27;31)." Which means he believes but not enough to have faith.
Furthermore, in the next song, "Where The Streets Have No Name" is built on what Bono thinks is
Heaven. He records, "And when I go there, I go there with you (U2 13)." In other words, Bono goes
to Heaven with Christians. Additionally,"With or Without You" is also written in a spiritual sense.

Descriptive Essay About Love
I like boys. I always have and I know I always will. My first kiss was when I was three years old
underneath a table at my preschool. For as long as I can remember, I have had an uncontrollable
romantic side. Watching Disney movies where the princess gets saved by the prince were my
favorite. My parents' relationship also influences the way I view love because my mom and dad
seemed to be the perfect couple. I am the oldest of three girls, so I'm no stranger to getting spoiled. I
have always expected my future boyfriend to treat me the same or even better because my dad
always treated me like the most beautiful girl in the world. Ideas of a perfect relationship all started
when I dreamed of my fifth grade crush coming to my dance recital and kissing me behind the stage.
That romantic side of me controlled a large portion of my imagination and I looked forward to
meeting a boy that would be fully committed to me as my parents are to each other. Once I hit
middle school, I continued to indulge in these unrealistic romantic notions once liking a boy
transformed into a different feeling. Unfortunately, I was a homily looking person during these years
so these feelings were never reciprocated. Attending a small private school with thirty other people

in the woods but nothing at sight nor could I hear anything else other than the sound of Roy calling
my name. "Run Scarlette! Run!" He screamed out, his voice reverberating through the trees. I stood
up hoping to get a better view, but there was nothing. "Roy," I called out again, but no answer. I
began to walk around in case he was hiding in the bushes somewhere. "Roy," I called out one more
time, then out of nowhere she appeared. I couldn't see her face but I could make out her long hair
blowing fiercely in the wind. I stood frozen unable to run. My feet felt as though they were glued to
the ground. "Run, Scarlette," Roy's voice echoed through the forest. Something within his voice
seemed to shake me, and I began to run in the dark

Manchitas: A Short Story
"Hey! Calm down and chill!" I yelled over to my dog. Manchitas might be a chihuahua, but he can
really pull me when he wants, but that isn't much since I'm just skin and bones. He frantically started
digging and whining. I'd never seen him like this. Today, was my only day off of work, so I decided
to take him on a long walk. I live in Miami, Florida and working as a forensic anthropologist, I am
always busy.
I glanced to see what the big fuss was about. It just had to be a bone. I can't even get a decent day
off of work. It's rare to get a good day off, due to there being fewer than 60 certified forensic
anthropologists in the entire country. It seemed a couple days old, 6 days at the most.I grabbed
Manchitas and observed the scene first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She had a singular skull, flat–bottom chin bones and nose, and a nasal spine. I remembered reading
in the article "Identifying The Victim", people with these characteristics are a caucasoid (a person
with European descent). I told William to type that information into the system and we still had 21
results. I started inspecting the bones very carefully for any tiny fractures or breaks. This girl's bones
were really healthy and strong so it wouldn't have surprised me if she hadn't had any breaks. I found
that she had broken her finger once. There only came up one result for all the criteria I had found.

Personal Narrative Essay : Personal Experiences
I wandered around town for what felt like an hour looking at all the shops and exhibits for tourists.
The town was old looking but nice. Reminding me of a old German town. Finally I ended up on the
outskirts of town close to the dense forest that surrounded the town. I checked my watch 1:02.
Guess I should get some lunch. PSH CRUNCH CRUNCH. I heard something in the woods. I looked
but saw nothing probably a rabbit it is the woods after all. I started to walking again CRUNCH. I
wanted to say something but my gut told me not to. That's when I spotted something. A dog, except
it wasn't its body was disproportional to its body. It looked old and in bad shape with its misshapen
bones looking like they were sticking out of his body. The dog looked to be minding his business
when it stopped cold in his tracks. Its head turned. Its eyes locked with mine it's cold dead bloodshot
eyes. My vision started to tunnel only focusing it's eyes. I took a step forward my mind screaming at
me not to. Something in my gut told me it was a predator that it would kill me. I took another step
Dumbass stop walking "Hey kid you alright," My vision broke from the dog I saw a guy
approaching me I looked back at the dog it was gone. Like it never existed. "Yeah, thought I saw
something," I squeaked out. I got a better look at the man he looked homeless his clothes ragged. He
smelled like he hasn't showered in days. "Okay, I'd advise you to leave here it's a bad part of town."
He said sharply. "Okay" I said nodding my head. I looked back as I was leaving the guy was looking
into the woods looking for something. I approached a restaurant to try and forget about my
experience in the woods. I was telling myself it was just a big stray dog ,but I knew something was
evil about it. I entered the restaurant it was quite nice fancy for a cheap dine in. I picked out a booth
to sit in suddenly there was a commotion. "What the hell are you doing!" "Back off John!" "John
you're crazy!" I rushed over to see what was happening. A boy was holding a table knife up to a
waitress. His eyes frantically going everywhere. A crowd started gathering around him surrounding
him with a small opening to the left of me. I guess he knew too cause he bolted for

Longing For Love
A Comparative Essay By Jack Ettlinger
In the song I Just Haven't Met You Yet (IJHMYY) written and composed by Michael Buble, themes
such as love, optimism, and loneliness are all are evident. These themes are also found in the song
Love Song For No One (LSFNO), written and composed by John Mayer, but optimism is replaced
by pessimism. Both of these songs are about a man longing for love; however, in the first, the man is
optimistic and hopeful, while in the second he is getting anxious and a little doubtful. The way that
the themes are portrayed are both similar and different in that they are about love,
optimism/pessimism and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mayer says that he has been, "searching all my days just to find you not sure who I'm looking for,"
and the listener feels his exhaustion, sadness and most of all, his loneliness.
In his song, Michael Buble is clearly lonely, but his loneliness in motivating him to persevere in his
life, and to find the one that will complete him. The lyric " I know someday that it'll all turn out,
you'll make me work, so we can work to work it out" shows this. He knows that the love of his life
is out there and that she is coming, and therefore his loneliness feels temporary. There is, in his
mind, an end in sight. He understands that he has to be patient: "I might have to wait, I'll never give
up, I guess it's half timing and the other half's luck." Buble trusts that love is coming for him. He
knows he won't have to be lonely for too long.
The songs, I Just Haven't Met you Yet, and Love Song For No One both focus on the theme of love,
and at first glance, can be perceived as very similar. But by dissecting the lyrics and looking more
closely at the undertones and messages of both songs, we find that they are actually almost opposite
in their approach to the mystery of love.
As an ending note, John Mayer is still girlfriend–less, while, as a true example of 'life imitating art,"
Michael Buble is engaged to the beautiful model who played the girl of his dreams in the video for
his hit song. I guess he really did meet her after all.

Pet Dexter Monologue
I've had Dexter, my Jack Russell, for just over a year now. He's a rescue. When I first took him in, I
came to find out that he was abused at the hands of a man, which would explain his defensiveness
when he comes across one he's never met. I couldn't imagine who could hurt such a sweet, loving
dog who doesn't bark unless he thinks there's an intruder–and even then, it's a series of huffs and
puffs before he'll actually bark–wants to meet everyone on our walks, listens to commands well, and
wants nothing more from you than to be your companion. Though honestly, I believe he's the one
that has rescued me. I have Complex PTSD, and am high on the dissociation spectrum. After writing
my initial manuscript, I was having a hard time of trying to quiet down Shadow. So I had no choice
but to take a 'vacation' in order to get him under control. I was supposed to be there for a week, but
when they learned that I lived alone, they insisted on extending my stay. Their suggestion to get me
back home sooner? Get a cat. Now don't get me wrong, I love all animals, but cats and I have this
mutual understanding: you stay away from me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not entirely certain what brought it on, but I can't seem to stop it either. I have a hard time sleeping
at night, and I'm lucky if I get a couple of hours. I'm thinking he wants to add another skill to his
already impressive resume. Before the sun is up, even before the birds are awake, an alarm goes off.
It's not one that you hear, or have the option to slam down on the snooze button to appease it,
because that option isn't there. It's Dexter, jumping all over me, and he won't let up until I give in
and get out of bed. I haven't figured out if it's because I'm having a night terror, actually getting into
a deep enough sleep where it can occur, and he's trying to save me from it. Or, perhaps, he just
wants to be an alarm clock, be the first to greet me in the morning–beating the

Persuasive Essay About Eulogy

  • 1. Persuasive Essay About Eulogy Carolina, Its 0010 on Thursday morning, September 28, 2017. I can't sleep. Not sure when ill finish this but I'm starting now. I've been thinking about you and all the things I want to talk to you about. They won't all come out here. I figured I would write down what I want to tell you, just in case we don't find the time to get together. The things I want to tell you in my opinion are very positive and constructive to continuing a relationship between us for the future. A friendship is a relationship too so don't jump to conclusions yet. Some of these might be tough questions for you to answer and if you're not ready to answer them then that's ok but it would help me immensely if you can shed any kind of light on these subjects to help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The only commitment I would like is for you to not ignore your feelings for me or at the very least, me in general. I would much rather us carry these feelings forward because I feel like if we ignore them now we won't get another chance and that would hurt more. But if you feel like that's not possible then I will accept that and we can still be friends. I'm not trying to burden you, I want to help carry your burdens. I'm one of the most laid–back guys you will meet. I'm extremely understanding, I'm a great listener and I think I can give some overall badass advice. I can also be extremely serious especially when it comes to something I care deeply for or kicking your ass in pool, bowling, shuffleboard, FIFA, the list goes on. I haven't quite let you in either. There are a lot of things you don't know about me too. I've been through depression though I always told myself I wasn't depressed and I would get through it. I eventually did and even though I'm still striving to find my true happiness and true calling I'm in such a better place than I was during those years. During that time, I was a piece of shit. I escaped the reality of the situation I was in through drugs, alcohol, partying and doing useless stuff to pass the time. I lied to my parents and friends about many things. I told them everything was fine and it wasn't. I wanted to be independent and figure that shit out on my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An Experience In My Life Have you ever had a that one experience that open your eyes, an experience unlike any of your other experiences, an experience that you will never forget till you die ? Well it happened to me, and it changed my life forever. I'm just a normal boy from Washington, pretty average I would say, there's nothing important about me, nothing special. I don't really have friends so if I do die early I won't be missed that much. I'm a senior and I'm supposed to sign up for colleges like everybody else, but not me, because I really don't know what to do with my life. I was walking home from school it was just a five minute walk. But it still tires me out because of all the books I have in my backpack. I finally reached our street, it's just the usual nothing new, Ms. Gomez walking her dog, The Jacksons still as noisy as ever that even though they're inside their house you can still hear them playing their music loudly, and then there is our house. While opening the door, I almost step on something, it was a pocket watch. Now why would a pocket watch be here? I also had no clue. I entered a different place, which is clearly not my house, I was outside of a city. I was speechless, for I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. There were green buildings as tall as the heavens that it could actually reach the palace on top of Mount Olympus, A great wall that is the city entrance, embedded with jewels so sparkly it would make Hermes want to steal them, and a real golden sun ... She bent down and gave a small piece of chicken to their cat, Lucky. "Exactly," said Ben through his wrinkly cracked lips, "I still haven't filled up my second stomach yet," earning a grin from gray–haired Carrol, across the kitchen, leaning on the counter. Carrol smiled and replied, "We still have Alice to wait on. Oh, I'm so excited. We haven't seen her in so long." She was interrupted by the loud chime of the doorbell. Ben leaned on his cane to stand up, and slowly made his way to the windowless front door. Once he opened the door, Carrol heard the small chatter of Ben and her daughter, Alice. As she took the casserole out of the oven, she heard Ben invite her into the kitchen in his deep gruff voice. There stood rosy–cheeked Alice, with her curly blonde hair and bundled in her gray sweaters and trench coat. Behind her stood a small, thin boy with a sniffling, red nose and wireframe glasses. He carried a small black duffel bag on his shoulder, and wore a mud–green coat. "Mom, it's so great to see you!" exclaimed Alice. "Alice, you as well. Ah, who is this?" Carrol said, looking back at the boy. "Oh," said Alice in her cheerful voice, "This is Ethan." He held out a gloved hand, and introduced himself, "Pleasure to meet you," he said through a congested, nasally voice. Carrol shook his hand as Ethan sniffed the kitchen air. You see, at a very young age, I got into a very gruesome accident. Doctors say I was lucky to survive; but by now, I understand that something happened before my supposed 'accident'. I don't remember every detail of the occurrence seeing as it was more than 350 years ago. A little before my disaster, I saw something glowing. Kind of like a strange orb. Now at the time, I didn't know what it was or what it signified; but that didn't keep me away from it. I was a child when this happened. So, being the curious shit head I was, I touched it. The orb sent me quivering to the ground. It felt as though hundreds of boulders tumbled on top of me. I was left with only one token. This 'power' –– or rather, curse –– didn't fully develop until my original age of twenty–six. At that age, I gained mass amounts of different abilities. I didn't know anything about myself and just had to know. Unluckily, I learned about my abilities the hard way. Shannon, my first ever lover, died at the age of fifty–eight. • 17. Reflection Of Journal Writing : Personal Aspects Of... Reading your own writing can be excruciatingly boring. Your mind already knows what's on the paper because it made the words form the piece you are looking at. I always try to make the experience an adventure. Thinking of the rereading as a deep dive. Deep diving sounds exciting, almost pirate–like. You get to look for treasure. Or in this case writing devices that keep popping up in your writing. My deep dive produced a few things I hadn't noticed while writing my journals. I found that in my journals I tend to follow the troupe of chronologically filing the events, that I'm secretive and very emotional. As I dived into researching myself, I found that in my technique for journal writing I'm very straight forward. I wrote down what happened each day in chronological order. For example in Artifact 1, I go through a bad day, "Waking up late on days of my morning class is absolutely the worst." On to "When class ended I hurried out to my car to get food before work. Lo and behold, I had a parking ticket because I hadn't picked up my parking pass yet." Lastly, "I get on my comfiest pajamas, sit down and start homework, but the internet isn't working." After reading over this artifact I came to the conclusion, I do this because when I go back to reflect, it makes the most sense to go in order. When you read my journals, you get a perception of what my days are like and how I feel about them. They make sense because I go in order, which in a sense is logos. The logical ... In the article entitled "U2 Negativland the case from our side" Negativland believes their work does not violate copyright law. Negativland asserted, "It was used for purposes of fair comment, parody, and cultural criticism" (151). In other words, Negativland's work was intended to make fun of U2's song entitled "I still haven't found what i'm looking for", which is protected under the fair use part of the copyright law. I agree because the artist named Weird Al Yankovic. He uses the instrumentals for a popular songs and changes the lyrics to make fun of it. • 41. Language Reflection Essay Language strongly influences our perception of the world. I found that even only taking high school French really helped me to see other languages and cultures in a new light. We had an exchange with a school in a small town in Quebec, and being able to somewhat speak and understand another language helped me to see that the same messages, ideas, and thoughts are communicated, regardless of language. It's not that I though Quebecois didn't ever tell jokes, I had just never thought about it. Learning another language expanded my worldview. Although Qi speaks two languages fluently, he hasn't found a practical application or real–life occurrence of linguistic relativism. Referring to the textbook example of some cultures saying "the north side of the bookcase," Qi says that, just like in Canada, some Chinese people will say "go North then East" and some will say "turn left then turn right." I also haven't noticed my sense of the world changed by the meaning of words in different languages. My Grade 11 French teacher first told me about linguistic relativism, but either I didn't learn enough French to alter my mindset, or I hadn't reflected enough on my language learning, or I never realized my mindset slowly changing. The example I gave in the first paragraph isn't due to linguistic relativism, it's due to understanding whole sentences, rather than the nuances of wording. I was confused on what the term tomboy meant. Does the term mean that I want to be a boy? Well, I didn't want to be one; I felt like a girl, I looked like a girl. "I am a girl!!", I would scream back. The term forced me to stay in this tiny box of what society has portrayed out to be a girl. I made myself feel uncomfortable by painting my nails, playing with dolls, and wearing dresses. Why was it that my older sisters always wanted me to wear a dress? I hated wearing dresses. Middle school didn't get any better. I was made fun of for being flat–chested but then mocked for not showing off my body like the "other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 47. Personal Legend Research Paper Where I found my personal legend cannot be found at the time of my childhood. In fact, I didn't do much of anything in my childhood. Growing up, and even now, I had a vague sense of what I would be doing when I'm older, as if I was looking through a lens that's stuck on a blurry aperture. Whatever career interests I had were fleeting and unfitting. During my childhood, I lived in Hanford, an obscure farm town just south of Fresno. I spent my days being raised by my grandmother, sitting alone in my house and eating dinner alone until my parents came home while the same news channel played on TV. It's nothing depressing; I even remember enjoying the solitude. I had a few friends, although I saw them as how people see most of their friends on social media: I do not really know who you are, but I sort of do, I guess, even if I have known you for years. Regardless, I was happy with being alone most of the time. This is the source of my introversion and the intensity of my self–awareness. Nevertheless, my strong sense of self– awareness doesn't always mean I'll know what to do, and it doesn't mean I'll be okay. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I moved into a new house, went through the end of elementary school, and then moved on to middle school. In early middle school, I had gotten everything done on time and it could be said that I had a lot of positive traits about myself. However, you know those embarrassing phases people went through at different stages in their adolescence? Well, I went through them too, but somehow simultaneously––which was awful. I was incredibly awkward, but I was also quite pretentious; an embarrassing combination. Whatever embarrassing thing I said or did was great in the moment, but later on it turned into a horrible memory that I kept thinking about at night, wondering if anyone remembered it. He wasn't home at that time, so she explained to me what had happened. Apparently, he visited her not so long ago looking for answers for a key he found inside a vase in his father's closet. I didn't know what to believe, so I went to his room looking for evidence. He's a smart kid and hiding secrets has always been one of his specialties. I looked everywhere, but couldn't find anything until I opened one of his top closet doors. I was surprised with what I discovered. Everything was there, the 472 "Black" names listed in chronological order starting from Aaron Black; a map with their location and a notebook with the time and years it would take him to meet them all. Should I be mad? If Abby wouldn't have called, would he have mentioned any of this to me? I'm really worried about him, because these strangers could harm him and I can't lose him too. I still haven't found what I'm looking for (U2 25–27;31)." Which means he believes but not enough to have faith. Furthermore, in the next song, "Where The Streets Have No Name" is built on what Bono thinks is Heaven. He records, "And when I go there, I go there with you (U2 13)." • 67. Descriptive Essay About Love I like boys. I always have and I know I always will. My first kiss was when I was three years old underneath a table at my preschool. For as long as I can remember, I have had an uncontrollable romantic side. Watching Disney movies where the princess gets saved by the prince were my favorite. My parents' relationship also influences the way I view love because my mom and dad seemed to be the perfect couple. I am the oldest of three girls, so I'm no stranger to getting spoiled. I have always expected my future boyfriend to treat me the same or even better because my dad always treated me like the most beautiful girl in the world. Ideas of a perfect relationship all started when I dreamed of my fifth grade crush coming to my dance recital and kissing me behind the stage. That romantic side of me controlled a large portion of my imagination and I looked forward to meeting a boy that would be fully committed to me as my parents are to each other. Once I hit middle school, I continued to indulge in these unrealistic romantic notions once liking a boy transformed into a different feeling. Unfortunately, I was a homily looking person during these years so these feelings were never reciprocated. Attending a small private school with thirty other people in my grade did not help much either. Longing For Love A Comparative Essay By Jack Ettlinger In the song I Just Haven't Met You Yet (IJHMYY) written and composed by Michael Buble, themes such as love, optimism, and loneliness are all are evident. These themes are also found in the song Love Song For No One (LSFNO), written and composed by John Mayer, but optimism is replaced by pessimism. Both of these songs are about a man longing for love; however, in the first, the man is optimistic and hopeful, while in the second he is getting anxious and a little doubtful. Mayer says that he has been, "searching all my days just to find you not sure who I'm looking for," and the listener feels his exhaustion, sadness and most of all, his loneliness. In his song, Michael Buble is clearly lonely, but his loneliness in motivating him to persevere in his life, and to find the one that will complete him. The lyric " I know someday that it'll all turn out, you'll make me work, so we can work to work it out" shows this. He knows that the love of his life is out there and that she is coming, and therefore his loneliness feels temporary. There is, in his mind, an end in sight. He understands that he has to be patient: "I might have to wait, I'll never give up, I guess it's half timing and the other half's luck." Buble trusts that love is coming for him. He knows he won't have to be lonely for too long. The songs, I Just Haven't Met you Yet, and Love Song For No One both focus on the theme of love, and at first glance, can be perceived as very similar. But by dissecting the lyrics and looking more closely at the undertones and messages of both songs, we find that they are actually almost opposite in their approach to the mystery of love. As an ending note, John Mayer is still girlfriend–less, while, as a true example of 'life imitating art,"
