From looking at the
questionnaire I have done,
the audience for my music
magazine would be more
dominantly young Koreans
between the ages of 11 to 16
years old. This would be
because of how there would
be more young people willing
to buy a K-Pop magazine, in
relation to older people, as K-
Pop is a relatively new music
genre, establishing more or
less in the year 2000 when
there started to be a mix in
the music which was being
produced in comparison to
other genres such as rock or
jazz.
As well as this, being a K-Pop
magazine, Koreans are more
likely to read the magazine in
comparison to other
ethnicities, however there may
be an interest of the K-Pop
culture in a minority of people
from other countries, as shown
from the questionnaire shown,
a majority of the people
around the ages of 16 to 18
have heard of the K-Pop genre.
Living in a multicultural area
many of these people would
more or less read a K-Pop
magazine, and especially of
hearing about K-Pop music
they would be interested in
the whole culture of it.
In relation to gender, I do not think that it matters.
Even though my research shows that more females
answered the questionnaire, than males, it may be
because I have more female friends than male, thus
not being a reliable source. However, if I were to
compare the amount of female and male artists on
the front cover of an actual K-Pop magazine, it
would be more or less be equal as both boys and
girls do read K-Pop magazines.
However in relation to my magazine, I believe that
both genders would read it because there is a good
representation of girls and boys in the magazine, of
which a younger generation ma look up to, and by
this I think that it would encourage them to read
more issues and get their friends involved.
