classroom management plan.
• There are 8 components that must be
included in the plan.

• Level of the classroom structure
• This is based on risk factors for your
students.
• How is your classroom going to be set
up?

• Guidelines for success
• These are the attitudes, traits or
behaviors that are acceptable and help
to achieve success.
Component #3
• Rules
• Remember these are:
• specific,
• observable,
• and measurable behavioral
objectives.
Component #4
• Teaching expectations
• What, how, and when will the expectations
be taught?
Component #5
• Monitoring
• How you will monitor the progress of
the classroom expectations?
Component #6
• Encouragement Procedures
• How you will encourage students to
demonstrate motivated and
responsible behavior?
Component #7
• Correction Procedures
• How you will respond to irresponsible
behavior?
Component #8
• Managing Student Work
• What procedures and systems you will
use to manage student work?
Teach your Expectations
• Teach & re-teach
• Develop a preliminary plan
• Model and practice the signal for
silence

Expectancy x Value = Motivation
Expectancy is the degree to which an individual expects to be
successful at that task.
Value is the degree to which an individual values the
reward(s) that accompany that success.
