1. 5. How did you attract/address your audience?
LEAH WALKER
2. Do you think you have reached your
target audience?
We reached our target audience as they are people who enjoy thriller and
horror films therefore we showed blood on the knife to signify the film
would be violent. We also used close- ups of Lucy and a long shot of her
looking in a mirror, this shows we are focusing on her mind which links to
the demographic who are interested in psychology. Finally we used a high
angle shot of Lucy to make her look isolated, this would appeal to our
target audience of women as they will feels sympathy for her.
3. Audience Feedback
When producing the film we believed using jump
cuts would be exciting and different. We watched a
clip from the film ‘Fear and loathing in Las Vegas’
which uses jump cuts, we thought this was
effective therefore we used it in our film, this
proved to be true in our audience feedback as
people said they really enjoyed them as it caused
the narrative to be disorientating. People also liked
the point of view shots as this made you feel as
though you were in the situation.
People also gave us constructive feedback and
stated that we could’ve have been more
imaginative in our transitions for example we
continuously used fades to black and white
therefore we could’ve used a dissolve or wipe
instead.
