1. Colour Scheme:
For my magazine I have used the colour scheme Red,
Blue. I used these colours as they are our school colours;
this makes it eye catching to the student teachers and
parents. Also the colours red and blue are contrasting
colours which mean when they are put together is makes
the writing stand out.
Masthead:
The masthead it in “Bernard MT Condensed” fount, which is a
font that stands out, the text, is very simple and straight forward
which makes it stand out and be very eye catching. The writing is
in red which is one of the school colours making the words
“manor mag” showing that the magazine is about Plumstead
manor. I chose the name manor mag as the “manor” is part of
our school name and it is the school magazine which is why I all
added.
Logo:
I have
incorporated
the school logo
in the right
corner as
people read
from left to
right so they
will see the
school logo first
Main Image:
The main image in the magazine is the six form building at Plumstead manor,
this shows the readers the smart new building, and this will make people
want to read more about the new building. Also it takes up a lot of the
magazine making it eye catching and enduring. Also layered over the image
are three subheading, this will mean when people are looking at the image
they will see the news and want to read about them.
Layout
For the layout I have used a box like set
out. I have done this by incorporating
images and writing, I have used more
images as that is what the results in the
survey, also people will be more likely
to look at the magazine due to the
images.
Main text
The main text is
written in
Calibri font
which is a font
that is easy to
read and very
simple. Also I
have used write
writing so it
stands out next
to the blue and
red
background.
Extras:
At the bottom
of the page I
have put the
schools
website, so if
parents want to
go onto it to
find out more
information on
the school. Also
I have written
put the twitter
sign to show
that the school
has a twitter
page. All of the
signs and
written in a red
box, this is to
make it eye
catching to the
reader so that
they see it.
