There are many different types of film and film genres. A film can fit into more than one genre, but
there are some genres that are more general than others. Some examples of film genre are animated,
science fiction, documentary, comedy, and historical fiction. Within each genre, there are also
specific characteristics that help support themes and story lines within that genre. An animated
movie is a drawing, painted, or digitally created film that uses stop–frame cinematography to
simulate movement. The best example of an animated movie is Spirited Away. This film came
out in 2001 and was directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The film revolves around Chihiro, a girl who
must grow up quickly and save her parents from a spirit world. The theme of the film is that there
is both good and evil in the world and part of growing up is finding the line between good and
evil. In almost every animated film you will find a family friend theme and a fast paced story.
This is mainly because most animated films are aimed toward children and families. As a result of
this, animated films usually revolve around growing up and taking responsibility, or other themes
that will benefit children. Spirited Away is the best example of an animated movie because it is fast

Catherine Deane, played by Jennifer Lopez, is a child psychologist involved in an experimental
project that allows her to travel inside the mind of coma victims to try to draw them away from
their fears and thus out of their coma. This movie portrays the journey inside the mind much like
you would depict a dream. When Deane is inside a young child, whose main concern seems to be
a fear of the ?boogie man?, the world she enters is a beautiful desert scene where the sky is bright
blue with puffy white clouds. She is always dressed in bright white dresses and seems to glow.
This depicts that she has earned the child?s trust. All color is brighter in this dreamlike world.
Even though these experiments had not been successful bringing the child out of the coma, Dean
was able to learn a lot about the child. This caused a couple of detectives to approach her about
entering the mind of a serial killer who had slipped into a coma with the goal of discovering the
location of his most recent captive.

wonderfully directed by Richard Attenborough and well written by John Briley. I found this film
difficult to "briefly" summarize, however I would like to share a short timeline of events through

takes place. I immediately noticed that he was no longer wearing a suit, but instead the traditional

once again with the backing of millions of Indian supporters seeking independence from Great
Britain. This done by once again forming a non–violent protesting organization. From here the film
goes on to show violence brought to Gandhi's followers, supporters, and the non–violent protestors
by officials using force with gunfire, batons, etc. Afterwards, Gandhi was again imprisoned
several times in India with one occurrence resulting in a six year sentence. Eventually Gandhi
helped pave the way for India's independence however it wasn't all over. India began to divide
between Muslim's and Hindu's and it was settled that the North and Eastern parts of India would be
given to Muslim's and called Pakistan and Hindu's would be left with the rest of India as their

Loach's brutal simplicity and bland surroundings.
Billy then goes out to his paper round we see that his bike has been taken by Jud. We have
enough information to know that Jud is a bully and that he cares not for any brotherly bond that
they might have. This is further used by Loach to show hate and despair. So Billy now has to run
to the shop. This is a good chance for the director to show the viewer the environment that Billy
lives in; this scene really gives 'a sense of place'. The director has established to the viewer the

haunts me. We are to go on a journey one for those that enjoys watching movies and going to

I had just gotten off work and I was running around frantically trying to find the perfect outfit for a
movie date, I didn't want to be too dressed up, but also not in a t–shirt and shorts, like I usually am.
My parents wouldn't let me leave until they got to meet Garrett, the guy who was taking me out
to the movies. I was super nervous they weren't going to like him because of his interests. So I
send Garrett a text saying that my parents wanted him to come into the house so they could meet
him. My dad is very blunt and doesn't know how to control himself sometimes, but I asked him to

The film?s setting was in present and past scenarios, which made it very interesting. As the old
man Duke read the story, in a past plot, and the story began to climax, he would be interrupted by
someone in the nursing staff, bringing them back to the present. This lineup of events leads to a
sense of curiosity as I began to wonder what these two plots have in relation. This curiosity will
soon be fulfilled as the story develops, and the two plots start to intertwine. The director of this
film did a fantastic job in combining these two plots, and giving the audience just enough time to
figure out their relation. He didn?t give it away too soon, or so late that the story got boring or
confusing. He also made very good use of underscoring (background music with no apparent
source) in a previous scene where Allie and Noah where dancing alone in the middle on nowhere,
to the sounds of Billie Holiday. This particular shot was a three minute continuous shot taken with
a camera on a 300ft dolly track. The actors and actresses in this film did a remarkable job in
playing their roles. The language and wardrobe fit the perfect description of a 40?s teenager.
Now, this is what I call a love story. Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook is most
definitely the way a love story should be. This story doesn?t just say happily ever after at the end, it

The way I see is that Americans are truly the villain in The Host. Americans do illegal, dangerous
actions in Korean, which causes the monster, so Koreans did not like and support how the US
operates in their country. For example, in the opening scene, an American ordered his Korean
subordinate to dump all the dusty bottle into Han river. It is so crazy and irresponsible. Through the
rest of the movie, there is an American doctor with a cross–eyed. That character looks like an idiot,

The importance and symbolism of this theme is food. Food is important part of national identity. It
is also an important part of Korean culture. For example, Gang Do worried that his daughter might
not have anything to eat. Huyn Seo and Se–joo discussed what they will eat after getting out the
sewer. At the end, Gang Do and Se Joo (his new son) are at the food home. They were watching
television and eating the dinner. However, Se Joo said that there is nothing good on the the news
and asked his father to turn off the TV. Then, they can enjoy their dinner. I think it is the message
that the director wants to send to Korea. Koreans should focus and remain the culture of South

The film handle humor and horror sides by Gang Do character. The conversations between Gang
Do and other characters are often funny. There are multiple scenes that Gang Do make audiences
to go for a laugh even there are serious scenes. For example, when the family was at a memory for
the monster's victim, they were crying at her picture. That scene makes audiences to feel sorry or
terrible, but it also makes audiences to laugh. The point of blending humor and horror is dialogues.

Without being asked Bella keeps Edwards secret, which in turn earns her his trust. Another
important scene in the book is when Bella goes to Port Angeles with Jessica and Angela to help
them pick out dresses and to also get a new book. She gets lost on her way back to meet her
friends for dinner. Lost with four men are following her, Edward comes out of nowhere to rescue
her. He fishtails around a corner and stops with the passenger door open next to Bella. He tells
her to talk about something random to distract him from going back to kill Bella's stalkers. After
he rescues Bella, he takes her to dinner, where Bella interrogates Edward about how he knew
where she was. The car ride home from Port Angeles is another scene where the movie's timeline
differs from the book. During the car ride Bella tells Edward her theories about him (Meyers
161). Her theories are built on the story she learned from an old tribe legend Jacob told her when

Movie Theater Experience
Experiencing Film in Theaters Watching movies is probably one of my favorite activities, it
does not matter if the movie good or bad; I just want to watch them. I loved going to the theaters
as a kid because the entire experience was always so exciting, especially since it was the first thing
my mother let me do out on my own. Going to the movies had always been a blessing but as I
have grown I have made an effort to go less often. While the experience is still the same I just
notice just how bad the overall experience can be as well.
Honestly, the best part of watching a movie in theaters is the movie theater experience; for example
the seats, the popcorn, the large screen, the sound system, the people, and the new releases. It is not
just you in your room watching a movie, it is you reacting to the film and to the people around you
around you as well, all the while getting all these over the top elements as well. Movie going takes
a common experience and amplifies it so it feels like you're getting something even greater.
Plus, my favorite part for any film has always been the trailers; the exciting bits and pieces of
coming films thrown together to entice future visits. With fast paced action and cliffhanging details
that are thrown in the 2–3 minute time frame, I am left wanting to come back and see that movie
when it comes out. It is how they reel me in and keep me coming back in regular intervals. I have
also gotten really into staying for the credits as well

I've seen this movie and I would like to give my opinion about it. The impossible is a movie based
on a true story. This story is about a family, Maria, Henry and their three sons Lucas, Thomas and
Simon. They went on Christmas vacations to Thailand but after a few days the Indian Ocean
earthquake created a tsunami that flooded the area with overwhelming destructive power.
As the tsunami hit the hotel where they were staying at, everything disappeared. Maria was

I think that the whole family is amazingly strong because even though they lived a catastrophe
they went through different things and they did the best they could. Starting with Lucas, he
helped his mom and other people to find their families. Thomas took care of Simon when they
were sent away even though he was just 7 years old. Henry had to leave his two little boys to search
for Maria and Lucas and Maria despite she was injured she fought for her life and was always
worried about Lucas.
The scene where I got goosebumps and I liked the most was when Lucas, Thomas and Simon
reunited with their dad. I liked the part where Lucas held Maria's hand and told her that Daniel
was with his dad and that he looked very happy. I didn't like the part were Thomas and Simon
were sent away with the rest of the kids that were alone even though Henry had to leave them so it
could be easier for him to look for Maria and Lucas I think it was a very hard decision because he
didn't really know what could had happened to them.
I really enjoyed the movie because it is a true story. It shows us how your life can change in a blink
of an eye. We don't have anything guaranteed that's why it's important to enjoy what we have and not
worry about the things that what we don't. That family showed us to never give up, you have to

In this movie there are two children named Anna and Ben. They are the children of Jackie and
Luke who are divorced. When a new woman comes in to the life of the father the kids can not
cope with it. The new woman was a successful photographer named Isabel. In the movie we see a
problem with socialization when Isabel has different behavior patterns, values, standard, skill,
attitudes and motives then their mom Jackie. These affects the kids' ways of being brought up
correctly because they are not able to distinguish which is the correct way. Even though she does
her best to treat the kids in a way that makes them still feel at home when being with their dad.
Another way that the children are affected is through attachment. Since they are born they had
been with their mother and know they have to make room for another mother figure. They are
confused whether it is all right to love Isabel and whether by loving Isabel, they do not love their
mom. The kids do not want to replace their mom with Isabel. Jackie's fears that she will be
overshadowed by Isabel in Anna and Ben's lives make this matter worse. Jackie battles to win the
love and respect of her children from Isabel. This led to a back and forth argument between Isabel
and Jackie.
The problems between Jackie and Isabel do not end here. Jackie believes that Isabel is incapable of
