2. My SMART Goal S-I want to go to the gym more often. M-I have a free membership to a gym near by, so I will use it. A-This will happen because all of my friends go there so I might as well. R-Its realistic that I do this because I used to go in the summer so I know I can do it. T-By the end of WinterimI will be confident in myself and be ready to hit up the gym in the hub 4-5 days a week.
3. Reasons & Steps I want to go to the gym more because I will feel better about myself. If I am in better shape it will help me for spring tennis practices. I’ve slacked off since summer and need to regain my muscle mass. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I get in my car and drive to the gym after breakfast. Not letting myself say “I’ll do it later.”
4. Log & Routine This is what I did every day automatically and dumbbells were added every other day. I had a list/diagrams of various stretches and exercises that I got from my high school gym teacher.
5. Process -If I made it to the gym then I didn’t have a problem working out, the hardest part is getting there. -I love the elliptical so that was what I looked forward to doing because it drains me. -I feel good knowing that I drove to work out on my vacation. Now I shouldn’t have a problem walking to the hub during semester 2.
6. I DID IT As a result of my SMART goal I was able to drag myself to the gym 5 days a week. At the beginning of this class I never expected to do that. Now I’m really excited to start the semester off healthy at school. I feel great and have lost 10 pounds. My confidence has also improved and I know what I’m capable of.
