2. Service Learning Project: The service learning project allowed me to help out my
church family. I have done many different things for my church, but this one
really was special. Hopefully the project I helped with will allow our church family
to grow. The bigger the better!
Letter to Next Class: The letter to the next class allowed me to help out the
upcoming class by telling them what to do and what not to do. I had a lot of issues
with the beginning of this semester, and I really don’t want anyone to have the
same ones I did. It also allowed me to look deeper into myself and make me realize
some of the mistakes I made that can still be corrected.
Scavenger Hunt: Obviously the scavenger hunt was very important. It allowed me
to find and know where things at the college are. It also informed me on things
that I didn’t even know were at the college, and that ended up being very helpful.
3. Journal Entry 11: This journal was very helpful in setting some of my self
motivation. Creating a clear visualization of what is to come if I am successful is
something that I really needed. I didn’t have much self motivation going into
college, but this journal helped to create that motivation.
Journal Entry 33: When I did the first self assessment I really wasn’t taking it too
seriously and my scores didn’t show me what I really needed improvement on.
When I did the second one though I did take my time and really answer the
questions truthfully. It was very helpful in showing me my weaknesses and
strengths in my own personality.
Journal Entry 8: This journal helped me realize that the things that I think are in
my way of success can be taken out. There were so many occasions where I would
blame other outside things for my failure when they could usually be fixed.
4. Module Three-
I was in need of some motivation coming into college. I sort of knew what I wanted to
major in, but nothing was really motivating me to go and get it. The Journal in this
module really was helpful in showing me why I needed to to well this semester, and it
showed me what I was truly striving for.

I raised my scores in every area except category 7 and 8. I think that the cause of this was a
lack of honesty in my last self-assessment. But everything that did raise I do believe actually
did. I think that I can always improve on everything to better myself. Even on the areas
where my scores are higher, I can always use improvement. This first semester I have
improved quite a bit so I hope I can continue to improve throughout the rest of school and
through the rest of my life.
6. The number one lesson that will be carried with me is self motivation. Learning
how to visualize my dreams and goals will defiantly stay with me throughout the
rest of my life. I will be constantly setting goals for myself, so I will need to know
how to motivate myself to accomplish them.
The next lesson that I will carry with me is the self assessment that we did. There
are areas that I can constantly improve on. I will probably be improving on them
for the rest of my life as well.
The last thing that I will carry with me is how to study and prepare correctly.
Unlike the other two things on the list, this one will probably only help me
throughout college. Each of the videos that we watched have been helpful when
preparing for tests, and I hope they will continue to be helpful throughout the rest
of college.
7. I am not sure what my major is going to be, but I do know that one of my goals is
to figure it out so that I can graduate from a four year university. After that the
next thing would be to have a well paying job, a nice house (preferably in the
country), and to have a family that I can come home to and spend time with.
