Ambedkar Summary 3
Dr. Ambedkar: A Social Reformer
Through the Magnifier of Antonio Gramsci

Lecturer in English,
Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dhamangaon (Rly) Distt: Amravati (M.S.)
Abstract
A Champion of Human Rights, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a multi dimensional personality. He was a great thinker, a philosopher, a true revolutionist,
a prolific writer and at the top a devoted reformer. If studied and analyzed his noble saga to fight against Castes' and untouchability through the
magnifier of Antonio Gramsci, a German philosopher of 1940's, he could be hailed as an 'organic intellectual.' His undeniable reforms in annihilating
Caste, his views regarding women empowerment, his Dalit movement are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Herein, I contend, that Dr. Ambedkar performed a job of an 'organic intellectual, for his community.
Antonio Gramsci, a German philosopher is less explored till present. First wave of interest in Gramsci was screwed up after the publication of his
prison writings in the form of letters in 1947. His extensive observation on the role of intellectuals in society and their function, his post Marxist theory,
Coercion and counter revolution opened up new vistas for re–reading texts of ethnic, post–colonial studies. His theory rekindled interest in academic
intellectuals, Subaltern studies and social hierarchy. More or less Gramsci has become a 'classic' to be read, interpreted, analyzed and applied.
According to Gramsci, 'organic intellectuals' function to fashion the intellectual, moral and political leadership by engaging organizational activity.
They fuse moral and intellectual dimensions. Every social group creates with itself, organically one or more strata of intellectuals. Gramsci noted, "All
men are intellectuals....but not all men in society have the function of intellectuals."1 Therefore an intellectual is defined by the qualities of their
activities, but being an intellectual is more than just being involved in 'brain work.' They lead the masses. They educate them and try to awaken them
and prepare them for the counter revolution against Hegemony. For Gramsci intellectuals were the instrument for the organization of human life. These

Essay on Differences between Lives in Solingen and Phoenix
Differences between Lives in Solingen and Phoenix
As I arrived at Phoenix in September of 1999, I was very excited to see this famous city and it's country and to get to know everything about it. But
with the time I realized that Phoenix is not more different than my town in Germany, Solingen. It's a not a big city but it is a very beautiful one with
many small streets and small houses around them. I had even the impression that the life in Germany was more exciting than in Phoenix. Now I'm
living in Phoenix for over one year and I can say now that there are many differences between those two countries which had a big influence at our
further lives. I'm talking about differences which you can't notice if you go there for a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the stores or places where you could have go out were pretty far away from our apartment. Mostly I needed a car to go out somewhere. The buses
are stationed only on few places and they arrive in very long intervals. So after a time, we realized that we had to buy a car. In contrast to Phoenix,
during our time in Solingen, we used the car mostly for longer trips. The whole city was connected with bus lines and they were coming to the bus
stations every ten minutes. If we had to go somewhere in the city, we used mostly the buses. We saved our gas money and were there always on time.
While in Phoenix you have problems to find the time to go out with your friends, in Solingen, I was most of the time able to plan something at a
short time. Every day after the school, I went to the downtown of Solingen with some friends or alone and we were walking through the streets full
of stores and joking around. I did this almost every day in the week. On the weekends there were many places to go out with friends like many
clubs and cafe's in Solingen or in the bigger towns next to us like Dusseldorf or Cologne. This cities are famous for their streets to go out there and
have a good time. People from all West Germany came over to these streets to have fun. So it was never boring even in a small town like Solingen. I
could always do something if I was bored.
A another good example thing that verifies the deference between these unlike cities is having a job. To have a job in the

How To Write A Short Story: Foster Home
"STOP MOVING!"
"Mom please, stop!" I looked into her glaring big, green eyes. When we went grocery shopping a week ago, someone had said that we look alike. I
could never really see the resemblance. Feature–wise, she looked disgusting. Her hair was put up, but it wasn't like most people's, where it was
brushed and put up. No, it was thrown up, with an uneven array of bumps and knots. I couldn't even stand to look at her for very long.
"Hello? I'm trying to talk to you, Jayme. Get your head out of your butt and listen to your mother." she said, as she walked out of the room. I then turn in
her direction. I see, in her hand, another bottle, empty.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I ask innocently, just before she threw the bottle, hitting... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I look up at them, smile and look back down. I don't know how i feel about this. " i know this is sudden but you can't live in your home anymore. I
know this might not make sense, or maybe it does. But i have a feeling you don't feel as if your home is safe either. We think it's best you live in a
foster home for a bit and once we get everything situated we will come talk to you."
" what will happen to my mom?" My eyes are wider than they have ever been. But i'm not sure if i'm that surprised. I felt this coming I think. "
Nothing bad sweety, she just needs some help. You can't be with her when she gets this help but after things will go back to the way they were, just
without the harm. Life will feel normal. "
" Who will i stay with?"
" We have a family picked out, they are willing to take you today. Well if you are ready today. You
need to get a bag of stuff to take"
" Okay" this won't be forever I tell myself. Just till mom gets her stuff together. Everything will be fine. I go get all my stuff together, well as much as
I could. I wonder who I will be living with. Do they have kids? Is it a young couple? So many thoughts running through my mind.

How I Am A Monumental Task
I am going to try to write this in hopes of expressing my feelings for you, but that will be a monumental task because I know that there is no way
that I will be able to fully express how happy you make me feel. I feel privileged and blessed to have met you. I am so euphoric now, and it 's all
because of you. I can 't stop thinking about you, and you always manage to plaster a smile on my face. You bring to me immeasurable joy, and
your warmth and caring gives me the feeling that the best is still ahead. Your intelligence, warmth, compassion, sense of humor and way of being
amaze me. Thinking of you, fills me with a remarkable feeling. It feels so good getting to know each other, because you really seem to understand
me. When I need to hear the truth I talk to you, because you are upfront and honest and I value your opinion. I am amazed by the way you always
make time for me, even when you 're busy, or have other things to do, and that makes me feel so good, and flatters me to no end. I look forward to
spending time with you or talking with you each day when I wake up – [you are the first thing I think of when I wake, and the last thing I think of
when I go to sleep.] I love all the ways you make me feel good about myself, and never fail to brighten my day. I can be myself when I am with you,
and you make me feel so special. I love the way you say the most amazing things to me, Since the day you came into my life, everything has changed

Critical Analysis: The Annihilation Of Caste By B. R Ambedkar
Critical Analysis: Annihilation of Caste– B.R Ambedkar
The caste system is a form of differentiation wherein constituent units of a system justify endogamy based on assumed biological differences which
are semaphored by ritualization of multiple social practices. The idea of purity and pollution has had a very serious impact in the Indian society and
the fates of people have been decided on this very notion almost forever now. B.R Ambedkar, the father of our constitution, in his book The
Annihilation of Caste has made several strong points on why India as a country should abolish the caste system. When one comes to think of it, each
and everything he has mention in that book needs to be given a very serious thought, for a country like India to develop and move forward.
The evil practices promoted by the caste system still take place, even though ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore Ambedkar is quite right in thinking that high caste Hindus have exploited and manipulated rules to favour their own selves for a great
deal of time. The notion of pureblood has already been dismissed by a lot of anthropologists who have agreed that there are no pure bloods in India
anymore and therefore the staunchness of caste should also be given up and abolished. It is a mere way of stagnating progress of individuals. One
should look at the caste system, not in the top down approach, as it hides quite a few harsh realities about it, but in a bottom up approach to
understand the difficulties faced in a daily life. Though I would not support banishing religion as it sets a norm for the society to function in a certain
way, otherwise there would be no differences between us and the savages, but these severe complexities that is the caste system should be definitely be

Compare And Contrast Bbkar And Babasaheb Ambedkar
When we talked about the famous Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi will be the first person that comes to most people mind. However, there are
other many leaders that also played the important roles in reforming India. One of them is Babasaheb Ambedkar. If I have to compare both of them
with the warlord, I would say that Gandhi is like the warlord who fight peacefully for the country liberation, while Babasaheb Ambedkar is like the
warlord who fight for equality and justice in the country. To be honest, it is very shameful that I have never known Ambedkar before. Since after I
have read his biography and what he had done, he suddenly became one of my idols. Bhimrao or Babasaheb Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 at
Mhow in central India. Different from Ghandi who belonged to the merchant caste, Bhimrao was born in a religious Mahar family ... Show more

Ambedkar saw untouchability as the additional product of caste system, and believed that there could not be any uplift or relief from untouchability if
there were not the abolition of caste. Moreover, Ambedkar believed that the caste system was actually a division of labourers which simply meant that
the caste system is the basis of assigning occupations. This caused a stagnant economy in communities because the system did not allow people to
have other professional skills and entered other professions outside the caste group. He said that fixity of occupations hindered the growth and
development of the Indian economy and the society. In his thought, people should do the work that is best suited to them to gain the most efficient or
else this would lead to immobility of both labour and capital. It could be said that Ambedkar was a challenge to Hinduism. By contrast, Gandhi was a
devoted Hindu. He thought that the responsibility of eliminating untouchability should depend on the upper caste. Gandhi goal was not to annihilate the

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Caste
Caste is closely connected with the Hindu Philosophy and religion, custom and tradition, it is believed to have had a divine origin and sanction. It is
deeply rooted social institution in India. Eminent scholar G.S.Ghurye points out that any attempt to define caste system is bound to fail because of its
complexity of the phenomenon.(Ghurye : 1961).To define simply in India caste is a social stratification; historically it separated communities into
thousand of endogamous hereditary groups called "Jatis". The Jatis were grouped by Brahminical texts under four categories, known as Varnas.
Certain groups known as Dalits or "Panchama" were excluded from Varna system altogether, ostracized by all other caste as "untouchables". In a

(Parekh: 1999). Gandhi's attitude towards caste and its beneficial vestige Varna, which had provided stability to Indian society for centuries and
practicable system of division of labour changed with time. In later days most prominently after his encounter and verbal duels with Ambedkar, his
ideas transformed and he abandons his initial views. Gandhi soon realised that several practises in tradition of India that are not defensible. The last
two decades of his career (1927 –1947) represent a progressive movement towards a radical critique of caste. Greater emphasis was laid on social
equality, justified with an appeal. It was related to the traditional Hindu concept of "Advaita", or the spiritual oneness of all being. The caste system's
most vicious feature, he argued, is that it has upheld the idea of inherited superiority, there is nothing common in between Varnaashrama and
caste.(Dalton:1993). A tremendous changed occurred in Gandhi's concept of caste and in 1945 Gandhi's endeavour was that Hindus should regard
themselves as a member of same performing Varna. Gandhi's this reinterpretation of Varna emphasizes his dominant concern for social equality and
harmony an egalitarian democratic

How I Can Write A Hopeful Romantic Note Using Fancy...
To grace So I 'm gonna attempt to write a hopeful very romantic note using fancy calligraphy. I make no promises.... There are many ways I could
start this, where I could say that I missed you so much, or how I love you and describe all the many physical and non physical things that attract
me to you and reaffirm that I 'm in love with you more and more every day. Like your wonderful dark brown eyes, and your heartwarming smile.
Your Beauty that goes beyond all others and your personality that makes me lucky to even know you. The intelligence you hold, and the
amazement that you are and yet don't realize. How I can look at you and feel happy. How I can be near you and forget the world and its worries,
and do nothing but love you. Instead of telling you all the things that I know to be true, and recounting how much I love you so much its
ridiculous. I 'm gonna tell you a story, about the future. A "what if" if you 're so inclined to call it. What if we didn't meet for 10 years from now,
and we were both single. This is the year that we would spend together. The first time we meet I wouldn't be able to form a sentence. I would see
you in passing, and not be able to stop thinking about you. Then I would go home, as tell my self that "I'm thinking idiotically." You, as beautiful as
you are probably already had a boyfriend, and if you didn't why would you settle for something like me. Then we would find ourselves bumping into
each other a lot. It would

When he was writing this poem he was fed up with the society and the practices in the society(This can be known from the first three lines, I'm not

that the poem with such an anger creates multiple thinking in the people and he also provided sound to the voice of the people who are revolting
against the oppression and the caste system. In this poem he is conveying the necessity and the urgency of annihilation of the caste system.

##uma In Persepolis, And Srividya Natarjan's Perthra
The pain experienced by the characters of Art Spiegelman's Maus, Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis, and S. Anand and Srividya Natarjan's Bhimayana
illustrate the severe nature of trauma and the longstanding effects it can have on a person. Each of these graphic novels utilize a metanarrative of the
speaker telling a story of a traumatic event, and each of these traumatic events depict a society that is psychologically and physically oppressive.
Spiegelman illustrates the process of interviewing his father about his experience during the Nazis occupation of Poland and the Holocaust. Satrapi
retells her family's stories during the Iranian Revolution to reveal her personal experience with an oppressive Islamic regime. The biographical nature
of Bhimayana is framed around a conversation between a Dalit and a Brahmin regarding the continual discrimination that Bhimrao Ambedkar faced that
plagues India to this day. However, these three stories offer more than just symbolic parallels between the pain experienced in the past and the pain of
the present. The creative team behind Bhimayana, Satrapi, and Spiegelman all introduce their perspective into these stories of historical significance
through their narration and art styles to reveal that the trauma of the past is multigenerational and has varying impacts on those affected. Spiegelman
introduces the idea of multigenerational trauma in the most direct way. Also acting as a memoir,Maus frames the story of Art talking to his father

My Statement Of Purpose In Biology
"Education is a companion which no future can depress, no crime can destroy, no enemy can alienate and no nepotism can enslave." It is this maxim
that urges me to pursue my career beyond Masters Degree.
Science has always been a fascination and more of a miracle to me from my childhood. Right from my school days, I enjoy studying biology, though
exposed to only major concepts of biology, the terms like cell, genes, DNA, protein intrigued me a lot. It is my unchanging aspiration to explore and to
discover the mysteries of the inner workings of life in the micro–cosmos represented by cell and molecules, as a biologist.
Educated at best schools, I was encouraged to participate in science fairs, and other educational competitions. It was the Biological Sciences that
titillated me the most. After obtaining 85.07% in 10th standard, I chose Physics, Chemistry Biology, and Mathematics as my electives at High
School. My incipient enchantment with Biology successfully got me admission to S. B. E. S. College of Science for B.Sc. In my undergraduate

Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedkar
AMBEDKARISM IS NONE OTHER THAN MODERNISM

Andhra Pradesh, India
ABSTRACT::
Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedkar was one to raise his voice for Dalit cause who brought out a social revolution throughDalit literature after 1960s and through
the establishment of a social organization based on his principles. The Maher movement of Maharastra has been seen as all India Movement under the
leadership of B.R. Ambedkar. Ambedkarism protested against the established unjust social order. It exposes the sufferings, frustration and torture
imposed on them and their revolt against this inhuman treatment called modernism.
Ambedkar, as a modernist with western thought emerged as a leader of the oppressed communities. As he was highly educated, he tried to transform
the Indian Hindu society. He put all his efforts to eradicate the evils of caste system and untouchablity of Indian society. He rose his voice for the
cause of the down–trodden, and degraded people of the society. His vast contribution for the up gradation of the Dalits of India is uncalculated and
immeasurable. Without Ambedkar one cannot imagine the Indian constitution. He hoped for a casteless modern society which treats all people in
equal manner, irrespective of caste and creed, race and religion. The down–trodden people who lived away from the main villages suffered for
generations from the social evils of caste system. He put forward all his modern

The And Caste Discrimination By Kancha Ilaiah 's Why I Am...
All religious communities in India are afflicted by an unfortunate evil tendency of exclusion. A sad trend of hatred has emerged in the battle against
casteism and caste–based discrimination. Kancha Ilaiah's Why I am not a Hindu (the non–fictional bestseller of 1996) has been constructed as an
expression of the voice of post–Independence Dalitbahujan consciousness, which was an integral part of their socio–political movement. Born in a
small South Indian Telangana village in the 1950s, his is the voice of the harassed subaltern, which exposes rampant cultural contradictions and
practices. He talks about the marginalized and victimized identity, where they were not only neither included nor respected, but also looked down upon
and repelled. The battle against disturbing dehumanizing social evils is manifested in the emergence of disparate groups having one thing in common
– deep hatred for Hindus. He implores the upper stratas to read and understand what the 'Other' (here, an un–Hindu Indian) has to say, for, he believes
that those who refuse to listen to new questions and learn new answers will perish and not prosper. The voice of the alienated existence of the
subalterns on every level of experience makes us question certain trends of action and thoughts inscribed in our subconscious and evident in our
consciousness. Though the book brims with undisguised and unidirectional attacks and opinions, which the readers might find appallingly biased, yet
his voice deserves to be

I Want For A Dating App
We "meet" on a dating app, but to be completely honest I joined the app to meet new people in different states. I wanted to meet new people in
different states, preferably North Carolina and Indiana because I planned on moving to either of the two states for University after I was finished with
community college here in New York City, which is about a year or so away. My profile statement was something along these lines...........
"I would like to meet new people, both male and female. No I am not gay or Bisexual, but I plan on moving to North Carolina or Indiana (leaning
towards NC) in the next year or so and would like to meet people from those states." With that being said, I guess it's safe to say I wasn't looking for
like, love or a relationship.
We started talking, and within the same day you asked me for my number, because you "hate talking on this app", so I gave it to you. From there
we started texting; we asked each other random questions about each other with the hopes of getting to know each other and our conversations never
seem to end, until one of us fell asleep while texting (mostly you/Gabriel). But we would always pick back up from right where we left off the
following night. Today is September 9th, 2015 (as I am writing this) and we haven't gone a day without speaking to each Since August 27th 2015 and I
love very bit of it. The communication between us flows so well and you're so caring, thoughtful and understand and not a day has gone by since

SOCIAL PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS
OF DR. B. R. AMBEDKAR 1. INTRODUCTION
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's philosophical contribution has in the areas of Humanism, realism and rationalism. He propounded a philosophy of humanism
taking in account both theory and practice. For him philosophy is not purely theoretic matter but has practical potentialities. It has its roots in the
problems of life and the theories that are propounded return back as a contribution for the reconstruction of the society. (Jatava, 1997)

view. It finds no place in the philosophical, ethical and religious ideas of Ambedkar. (Jatava, 2008) 7. SOCIAL PHILOSOPHY OF AMBEDKAR
Ambedkar was not only an idealist but also a realist. His move toward drafting of the constitution was not merely philosophical but a realistic one. It

social restructuring but in a democratic way. He did not go against the government but remained in the government to serve the interests of the

Essay On Kabir Kala Manch
After the Gujarat riots, which was a three–day period of inter–communal violence between the Hindus and Muslims in the western Indian state of
Gujarat. A group of students came together and formed Kabir Kala Manch. A cultural group which, through their music and poetry, took up the cause of
social inequality by making people aware on various social issues through their street plays in the city. They fearlessly encourage listeners to oppose
government policies promoting economic liberation that conserve India's social economic division.

Personal Narrative Essay : A Short Story
She obviously hates me, she has no other reason to do something like this to me. Why this quickly? Why couldn't she let me know about this a
month ago? Now I have to go somewhere that I don't know anything about. I don't know anyone there, including my own Nana! I haven't seen her
since I was six, and she doesn't know anything about me. I opened my bedroom door to grab the suitcase, and there she was. My mother was
standing there, staring at me with a blank stare waiting for me to open the door. "Izzy..." She mumbled. Not wanting to talk to her, or have
anything to do with her at that moment, I walked back into my room with the suitcase and locked the door shut. "I got you a car service to bring
you to the airport. We're flying out of different airports so I can't bring you." She said with a very low, saddened tone of voice. This is just great.
One, she's leaving me for two months to someone I barely know. Two, she can't even take me to the airport. What's next, I'm going to get lost at the
airport? Or maybe, I'll go to the wrong gate for the wrong flight. Nothing is going my way, nothing at all. Two days later... The plane landed here in
New Mexico about thirty minutes ago, and I finally got my bag from the baggage claim. I saw my nana standing in the lobby smiling at me. She
had a sign saying my name in big bold letters. I walked towards her, and she offered to give me a hug, but I walked past her. I walked straight to the
car, and anyone who could see me would think I ate a chili pepper my face is so red. The whole ride home was like sitting in a dark room, alone,
with no places where sound could break through. Pure and complete silence. When we walked into the small ranch home, I heard her say
something in a quiet voice. "Welcome, would you like something to drink or something to eat? Suppose a soda?" "Yes please, a... a soda... please." I
answered cautiously. She came out of the kitchen with a root beer, my favorite. "Would you like a tour of your home for the next two months?" She
asked nicely. The words, "home for the next two months" hit my like a brick. "Yes please," I said gently. "Okay then, over here we have the kitchen..."

Essay on Biology Class: A Short Story
I slammed my hand on the alarm clock as it buzzed loudly in the early morning. Ten minutes more, okay? I rolled on my back and covered my eyes
with my arm. I just didn't have the energy to get ready for school. Heaven forbid. I hadn't finished my essay yet! Plus, we had a quiz in History and
Biology. Life is so fantastic. "Kai–ah, wake up. You don't want to be late for school," Dad called outside my room. "Coming!" I groaned. I scrambled
out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. The last thing I wanted was Dad pulling me out of my own bed. I sighed. Dressed in

I stopped at an intersection, waiting for the traffic lights to go green. BWCW CafГ© was just a couple of blocks away. I turned the air condition
higher as I pressed on the accelerator. I parked the car in front of BWCW. I turned off the engine and got out. As I went inside, the scent of cinnamon
filled the air. "Kai–ssi," Sunny, a small cute girl, greeted me from the counter. "Hello," I greeted back as I walked towards the counter. "Can I have four
pieces of doughnuts, please?" "Chocolate?" She asked. I nodded. "Anything else?" "Uh..." I looked at the menu for something to drink. "I'll have a

Maria Had Not Sleep During The Hotel Lobby Essay
The morning after the attack by the two men in the hotel lobby, Maria had not sleep well and woke up earlier than usual due to her concern for Jim

Hearing him outside of her door gave her a rush of excitement. Running to the door with only one shoe on, she quickly unlocked and opened it.

"For your help yesterday." He told her. "My help?" She asked. "What help? Those two men hurt you and I did nothing to prevent their attack."

The information regarding the sport is the same for females, all cars and equipment are regulated by the NHRA commission and have nothing to do with
gender. The announcers react to the female drivers in a number of ways, the announcers don't tend to state a drivers gender is a female when she is
positioning her car at the starting line rather they let the females name speak for the driver and even more so when name–dropping professional female
drivers such as Brittany Force and Courtney Force (both daughters of NHRA legend John Force, who still races today!). Although the announcers
don't typically state genders when introducing the female racers who are on deck, they do often mention how incredibly brave the female drivers
are for choosing to pilot these insane cars as a job. The information given for the female drivers is often age, hometown, team sponsor and how
many seasons or races the female has competed in for the specific class of car or team who works on their race cars. The announcers also do not
hesitate telling the viewer when one of the few female drivers have a tendency to work on their cars with their pit crew rather than have their team
worry about all mechanical tasks. The media's view of a female focused or presence in NHRA does not consist of black and white views regarding the
positive and negative views of an opposite gender in the sport. The

The Caste System And Hinduism
The caste system and Hinduism have been heavily intertwined since the beginning of Hinduism in 1500 BCE with the Vedic period (Molloy, 80). So
much so, that even after hundreds of years the very same structure persisted into the Upanishadic period of Hinduism. The system was based on four
castes (varna): The priest (brahmin), the warrior (kshatriya, rajanya), the merchant (vaishya), and the peasant (shudra). The untouchables (dalits) were
ostracized from the caste system, as they are considered too impure to partake in the social hierarchy of the higher castes. Two prominent figures tried
to help the Dalits at different points in history: Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar. They both had different solutions to help the Dalits escape the...

Even further dividing the castes is the concept of varnasramadharma (Jones, 2329). With this system, the four varnas have ashrama tied to them,
specific duties to complete across the four defined stages of life (Molloy, 89). This model was developed specifically looking at the ancient ideal
life of the highest social caste, the brahmin. This is a prime example of how structured Hindu society is around the caste system, and how dependant
they are on the ancient teachings of the religion. The stages of life are linear, and begin at the age of 8 with the 'Student' stage. During this stage of
life, the person focuses on building a spiritual basis for their life through studying religious texts. At age 20 they enter the householder stage. They
typically get married through an arranged marriage from the parents, and fulfill their societal duty of having children. Once their children have grown
up and have kids of their own, the person may enter the retiree stage. Here is where they return somewhat to the religious focus of their life much like
when they were in the student stage. Finally is the optional stage of renunciate. During this stage the person becomes akin to a monk, they wear orange
robes, participate once again in celibacy, and travel to gain further spiritual insight to hasten their achievement of moksha (Molloy, 89–90 and Jones,
2329–2330). However, there is one group that is exempt from the ashrama and varna

Summary Of The Song 'Black Rage'
Lauryn Noelle Hill is a 42 years old American singer, record producer, songwriter, rapper, and actress and my favorite artist of all time. She is popular
for being a member of the Fugees and for her crucial acclaimed solo album. Her album "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" won several awards and hold
numerous sales records.
Lauryn Noelle Hill has been dropping knowledge and teaching for many years. The title of the work is "Black Rage", Lauryn Hill shared this painful
previously unreleased song "Black Rage" on 21st of august 2014, inspired by the events in Ferguson prompted by the killing of Michael Brown.
I identified racism as artist's central argument. Lauryn criticizes earlier notions of racism, where in the song she states that, free enterprise may be a
myth or illusion, forcing you back into purposed confusion, black human trafficking or blood transfusion and that Black rage is found on this kind of
things among others. She also argues against the use of racism and disagrees with a stance that would have only whites being racist, where in the song
she states. "tied and substance, having to justify your very existence, try if you must, but you can't have my soul."
She primarily weaves together a new approach to racism basing it on social construction. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

defiant so called higher caste Hindu sentiments. He played a major role to turn Hindu rooted society into secularism. He was asked to write a
constitution in India, however, he devoted himself to humanizing the lives of untouchable in whole south Asia. He declared himself as an untouchable
and found in disagree with Gandhi because Gandhi proposed "Harijans" as a substitute. Though, Dr. Ambedkar refused "Harijan" as patronizing
choosing Dalit. The influence of Dr. Ambedkar was seen in Nepal as well. There was a movement to enter into the Hindu temple by untouchable
people but they were bitten and some were murdered in

In this paper, I will discuss the identity of Maxwell, derived from his performance at the Verizon Center. Maxwell's performance represented his
identity as a sensual male artist, whose appreciation for women grew from his mother playing the role of both parents. Furthermore, I will discuss how

Maxwell suffered the loss of his father in a plane crash when he was just three years old, and after this tragedy, he saw his mother become the
backbone of the household. The experience made him a deeply religious child, and he first began singing in his Baptist church in Brooklyn, where
his grandmother would take him every Sunday for church service. At age of 17 Maxwell became serious about music, and the year was 1990 when
he began writing his own songs using a cheap Casio keyboard given to him by a friend. Maxwell was greatly influenced by early– '80s R&B artist such
as Al Green, Marvin, Gaye and Prince. While being compared to these artists who influenced him, Maxwell maintained his own style of Neo Soul.
Soon, his fan base rose rapidly, and by 1991, he was performing in New York clubs holding up to the comparisons while paving his own path as one
of the founding fathers of Neo–Soul R&B. Maxwell often says he was a nerd in High School, and his classmates couldn 't imagine the shy, awkward
teenager being a Neo–Soul Pioneer (online video, YouTube, accessed November 2, 2016). After making a name for himself in the nightclubs, he
began to get noticed by major record labels. He gravitated toward Columbia Records, but he had certain aspects of his
Page 3 identity such as his creative freedom that he did not want to relinquish. In 1998, in an, interview Travis Smiley, a MTV host who

There 's No Other Woman For Me
There 's no other woman for me besides you.
 – Am I dreaming? – If it is a dream... then don 't wake me up. Do you even love Smangele? You 're
going into a loveless marriage. You don 't have to marry her just so you can be a good father. Zikodes... Mashimanes... we ask that... as Smangele 's
getting married... you give her an abundance of blessings. Dad, let go off me!
What do you think you 're doing? Dressed like the bride and
making a fool out of yourself?
 – I didn 't know that this is the Zulu bride 's attire. – Do I look stupid to you? This is not your wedding. Why are
you trying to upstage Smangele?

Dad, relax. Okay? I was just trying to spice up this boring wedding.
This is not your wedding. It
's Ayanda and Smangele 's wedding. Ayanda has chosen Smangele. Wake up!
Take off this nonsense! Take it off! Stop your nonsense. I will...

and our child. Go, MaNgcobo! Go, MaNzuza! Okay. I 'll give you 50c... 50c, five bob... for your thoughts. What are you doing here? Shouldn 't you be
at the Xulus, welcoming the bride? Let 's not talk about that. All eyes will be on Ayanda. Ayanda this, Ayanda that. It 's

Jerome's Wife Monologue
"I made a mistake baby, you know I'm not perfect. Don't let that hoe get between us. I still need you." He confesses. My heart jumps the moment
he says this. He still need me? "Baby?" He calls out to me. Before I respond I hear shuffle in the background. "J?" I heard a women voice. J? I said
to myself. Who is the women calling him J? I know it's not his mom or little sister. I decided not to confront him about this as I finally found my
answer as whether I will ever be with Jerome again. "Ashanti?" He calls out again. "I think it's better if we just be friends Jerome." I admit to him, not
trying to let my attitude come out of hearing the women voice in the background. "Friends? So what, you letting that nigga Nino get in your head now?"

He walks inside taking off his coat. I close the door after he walks inside. I follow him to the living room waiting for him to start talking, but
instead he watches my movement as I went and sat on the opposite of him. He licks his lip, and my eye's falls right on his lips. Lord, those lips can
get it man. I take in his appearance as he continues to watch me lustfully. He had on a dark navy shirt that clung to his muscle, making his muscle

pants made his ass look good and firm as he walks over to the couch, I was shock his pants weren't sagging like other niggas do. He's a real man, I
thought to myself. He had on some black and navy shoes that match his outfit, so in all he was handsome. His chocolate skin that were cover in

Creative Story : A Short Story
Aiko was slumped forward over the table. The private dining hall was perfect, quiet and peaceful. "What's wrong, Aiko?" Danny asked from
beside her. "There's so much stuff to practice. The ceremonies, the dance, manners, posture. All these little details. I have to get my dress fitted
too..." Aiko sighed. "I'm getting anxious." "Whatever happened to the carefree Aiko I love so much?" Danny asked as he picked up a glass. Aiko
sighed. "She didn't grow up completely. She's just busy right now." "I miss her." Danny smiled at Aiko. "I miss carefree Danny too. What about
him?" Aiko asked. "He's here. Just a little calmer than when he was a kid." Danny smiled. Aiko smiled. "We should sneak out for a day." Danny
laughed. "We will. Just have to be responsible adults sometimes." "How old is an adult?" Aiko asked. Danny shrugged. "Eighteen?" "You're an
adult now. But I'm not." Aiko thought to herself for a moment. "What's the legal minimum age for marriage in America?" "I think it is like 16 with
parental permission?" Danny guessed. "I don't know this stuff." Aiko sighed as she picked up her tea. "Hm... what are we doing next?" Danny
sighed. "We've already run through the checklist. Everything is done or just about done." Aiko stretched out her arms. Danny looked up at the
ceiling. "I would ask if you wish to train, but I still have about six weeks until your father will let me back into the temple for full training. My
shoulder is still healing. Although, I am healing faster than expected." Aiko smiled. "Yeah... is there anything going on today?" Danny shrugged.
"Like what?" "Festivals, celebrations, observances...?" Aiko listed. "Not today. But we have some coming up this weekend." Danny smiled.
"There is the Raksha Bandhan and Ghost Festival on the full moon." Aiko's face lit up. "That's going to be a great day, that will be so fun! I love
the Raksha Bandhan! Is Ryu excited?" Danny shrugged. "I haven't seen her today. And I don't know if she even knows about it." "Do you remember
Raksha Bandhan?" Aiko asked. "Yes," Danny smiled. "I still have the rakhi you gave me, from just about every year." It took a minute, Danny smiled
as he watched what he had said sink in. Aiko's face turned hot pink. "What?" "We never did the

Ambedkar Summary 3

  • 1. Ambedkar Summary 3 Dr. Ambedkar: A Social Reformer Through the Magnifier of Antonio Gramsci SAVITA V. DEOGIRKAR Lecturer in English, Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dhamangaon (Rly) Distt: Amravati (M.S.) Abstract A Champion of Human Rights, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a multi dimensional personality. He was a great thinker, a philosopher, a true revolutionist, a prolific writer and at the top a devoted reformer. If studied and analyzed his noble saga to fight against Castes' and untouchability through the magnifier of Antonio Gramsci, a German philosopher of 1940's, he could be hailed as an 'organic intellectual.' His undeniable reforms in annihilating Caste, his views regarding women empowerment, his Dalit movement are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Herein, I contend, that Dr. Ambedkar performed a job of an 'organic intellectual, for his community. Antonio Gramsci, a German philosopher is less explored till present. First wave of interest in Gramsci was screwed up after the publication of his prison writings in the form of letters in 1947. His extensive observation on the role of intellectuals in society and their function, his post Marxist theory, Coercion and counter revolution opened up new vistas for re–reading texts of ethnic, post–colonial studies. His theory rekindled interest in academic intellectuals, Subaltern studies and social hierarchy. Gramsci noted, "All men are intellectuals....but not all men in society have the function of intellectuals."1 Therefore an intellectual is defined by the qualities of their activities, but being an intellectual is more than just being involved in 'brain work.' They lead the masses. They educate them and try to awaken them and prepare them for the counter revolution against Hegemony. For Gramsci intellectuals were the instrument for the organization of human life. These ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay on Differences between Lives in Solingen and Phoenix Differences between Lives in Solingen and Phoenix As I arrived at Phoenix in September of 1999, I was very excited to see this famous city and it's country and to get to know everything about it. But with the time I realized that Phoenix is not more different than my town in Germany, Solingen. It's a not a big city but it is a very beautiful one with many small streets and small houses around them. I had even the impression that the life in Germany was more exciting than in Phoenix. Now I'm living in Phoenix for over one year and I can say now that there are many differences between those two countries which had a big influence at our further lives. I'm talking about differences which you can't notice if you go there for a ... The buses are stationed only on few places and they arrive in very long intervals. So after a time, we realized that we had to buy a car. In contrast to Phoenix, during our time in Solingen, we used the car mostly for longer trips. The whole city was connected with bus lines and they were coming to the bus stations every ten minutes. If we had to go somewhere in the city, we used mostly the buses. We saved our gas money and were there always on time. While in Phoenix you have problems to find the time to go out with your friends, in Solingen, I was most of the time able to plan something at a short time. Every day after the school, I went to the downtown of Solingen with some friends or alone and we were walking through the streets full of stores and joking around. I did this almost every day in the week. On the weekends there were many places to go out with friends like many clubs and cafe's in Solingen or in the bigger towns next to us like Dusseldorf or Cologne. This cities are famous for their streets to go out there and have a good time. People from all West Germany came over to these streets to have fun. So it was never boring even in a small town like Solingen. I could always do something if I was bored. A another good example thing that verifies the deference between these unlike cities is having a job. To have a job in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How To Write A Short Story: Foster Home "STOP MOVING!" "Mom please, stop!" I looked into her glaring big, green eyes. When we went grocery shopping a week ago, someone had said that we look alike. I could never really see the resemblance. Feature–wise, she looked disgusting. Her hair was put up, but it wasn't like most people's, where it was brushed and put up. No, it was thrown up, with an uneven array of bumps and knots. I couldn't even stand to look at her for very long. "Hello? I'm trying to talk to you, Jayme. Get your head out of your butt and listen to your mother." she said, as she walked out of the room. I then turn in her direction. I see, in her hand, another bottle, empty. "Sorry, what were you saying?" I ask innocently, just before she threw the bottle, hitting... We think it's best you live in a foster home for a bit and once we get everything situated we will come talk to you." " what will happen to my mom?" My eyes are wider than they have ever been. But i'm not sure if i'm that surprised. I felt this coming I think. " Nothing bad sweety, she just needs some help. You can't be with her when she gets this help but after things will go back to the way they were, just without the harm. Life will feel normal. " " Who will i stay with?" " We have a family picked out, they are willing to take you today. Well if you are ready today. You need to get a bag of stuff to take" " Okay" this won't be forever I tell myself. R Ambedkar Critical Analysis: Annihilation of Caste– B.R Ambedkar The caste system is a form of differentiation wherein constituent units of a system justify endogamy based on assumed biological differences which are semaphored by ritualization of multiple social practices. The idea of purity and pollution has had a very serious impact in the Indian society and the fates of people have been decided on this very notion almost forever now. B.R Ambedkar, the father of our constitution, in his book The Annihilation of Caste has made several strong points on why India as a country should abolish the caste system. When one comes to think of it, each and everything he has mention in that book needs to be given a very serious thought, for a country like India to develop and move forward. The evil practices promoted by the caste system still take place, even though ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore Ambedkar is quite right in thinking that high caste Hindus have exploited and manipulated rules to favour their own selves for a great deal of time. The notion of pureblood has already been dismissed by a lot of anthropologists who have agreed that there are no pure bloods in India anymore and therefore the staunchness of caste should also be given up and abolished. It is a mere way of stagnating progress of individuals. One should look at the caste system, not in the top down approach, as it hides quite a few harsh realities about it, but in a bottom up approach to understand the difficulties faced in a daily life. Though I would not support banishing religion as it sets a norm for the society to function in a certain way, otherwise there would be no differences between us and the savages, but these severe complexities that is the caste system should be definitely be ... However, there are other many leaders that also played the important roles in reforming India. One of them is Babasaheb Ambedkar. If I have to compare both of them with the warlord, I would say that Gandhi is like the warlord who fight peacefully for the country liberation, while Babasaheb Ambedkar is like the warlord who fight for equality and justice in the country. To be honest, it is very shameful that I have never known Ambedkar before. Since after I have read his biography and what he had done, he suddenly became one of my idols. Ambedkar saw untouchability as the additional product of caste system, and believed that there could not be any uplift or relief from untouchability if there were not the abolition of caste. Moreover, Ambedkar believed that the caste system was actually a division of labourers which simply meant that the caste system is the basis of assigning occupations. This caused a stagnant economy in communities because the system did not allow people to have other professional skills and entered other professions outside the caste group. He said that fixity of occupations hindered the growth and development of the Indian economy and the society. In his thought, people should do the work that is best suited to them to gain the most efficient or else this would lead to immobility of both labour and capital. It could be said that Ambedkar was a challenge to Hinduism. By contrast, Gandhi was a devoted Hindu. He thought that the responsibility of eliminating untouchability should depend on the upper caste. Eminent scholar G.S.Ghurye points out that any attempt to define caste system is bound to fail because of its complexity of the phenomenon.(Ghurye : 1961).To define simply in India caste is a social stratification; historically it separated communities into thousand of endogamous hereditary groups called "Jatis". Gandhi's attitude towards caste and its beneficial vestige Varna, which had provided stability to Indian society for centuries and practicable system of division of labour changed with time. Gandhi soon realised that several practises in tradition of India that are not defensible. The last two decades of his career (1927 –1947) represent a progressive movement towards a radical critique of caste. Greater emphasis was laid on social equality, justified with an appeal. It was related to the traditional Hindu concept of "Advaita", or the spiritual oneness of all being. The caste system's most vicious feature, he argued, is that it has upheld the idea of inherited superiority, there is nothing common in between Varnaashrama and caste.(Dalton:1993). Each of these graphic novels utilize a metanarrative of the speaker telling a story of a traumatic event, and each of these traumatic events depict a society that is psychologically and physically oppressive. Spiegelman illustrates the process of interviewing his father about his experience during the Nazis occupation of Poland and the Holocaust. Satrapi retells her family's stories during the Iranian Revolution to reveal her personal experience with an oppressive Islamic regime. The biographical nature of Bhimayana is framed around a conversation between a Dalit and a Brahmin regarding the continual discrimination that Bhimrao Ambedkar faced that plagues India to this day. However, these three stories offer more than just symbolic parallels between the pain experienced in the past and the pain of the present. The creative team behind Bhimayana, Satrapi, and Spiegelman all introduce their perspective into these stories of historical significance through their narration and art styles to reveal that the trauma of the past is multigenerational and has varying impacts on those affected. • 17. The And Caste Discrimination By Kancha Ilaiah 's Why I Am... All religious communities in India are afflicted by an unfortunate evil tendency of exclusion. A sad trend of hatred has emerged in the battle against casteism and caste–based discrimination. Kancha Ilaiah's Why I am not a Hindu (the non–fictional bestseller of 1996) has been constructed as an expression of the voice of post–Independence Dalitbahujan consciousness, which was an integral part of their socio–political movement. Born in a small South Indian Telangana village in the 1950s, his is the voice of the harassed subaltern, which exposes rampant cultural contradictions and practices. He talks about the marginalized and victimized identity, where they were not only neither included nor respected, but also looked down upon and repelled. The battle against disturbing dehumanizing social evils is manifested in the emergence of disparate groups having one thing in common – deep hatred for Hindus. He implores the upper stratas to read and understand what the 'Other' (here, an un–Hindu Indian) has to say, for, he believes that those who refuse to listen to new questions and learn new answers will perish and not prosper. The voice of the alienated existence of the subalterns on every level of experience makes us question certain trends of action and thoughts inscribed in our subconscious and evident in our consciousness. Though the book brims with undisguised and unidirectional attacks and opinions, which the readers might find appallingly biased, yet his voice deserves to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I rolled on my back and covered my eyes with my arm. I just didn't have the energy to get ready for school. Heaven forbid. I hadn't finished my essay yet! Plus, we had a quiz in History and Biology. Life is so fantastic. "Kai–ah, wake up. You don't want to be late for school," Dad called outside my room. "Coming!" I groaned. I scrambled out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. The last thing I wanted was Dad pulling me out of my own bed. I sighed. I don't know why it did, but I had a feeling I would find out pretty soon; and later on, I did. "Hey there pretty lady" My 'boyfriend' David said as he planted a kiss on my cheek. I unlocked my locker, opening it to reveal all books and belongings. David sighed "So the silent treatment huh. Baby I'm sorry and you know that. I ain't mean for that to happen" I rolled my eyes and grabbed my books. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and plant a kiss on my cheek once again."Baby please forgive me. So much so, that even after hundreds of years the very same structure persisted into the Upanishadic period of Hinduism. The system was based on four castes (varna): The priest (brahmin), the warrior (kshatriya, rajanya), the merchant (vaishya), and the peasant (shudra). The untouchables (dalits) were ostracized from the caste system, as they are considered too impure to partake in the social hierarchy of the higher castes. Two prominent figures tried to help the Dalits at different points in history: Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar. They both had different solutions to help the Dalits escape the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even further dividing the castes is the concept of varnasramadharma (Jones, 2329). With this system, the four varnas have ashrama tied to them, specific duties to complete across the four defined stages of life (Molloy, 89). This model was developed specifically looking at the ancient ideal life of the highest social caste, the brahmin. This is a prime example of how structured Hindu society is around the caste system, and how dependant they are on the ancient teachings of the religion. The stages of life are linear, and begin at the age of 8 with the 'Student' stage. During this stage of life, the person focuses on building a spiritual basis for their life through studying religious texts. At age 20 they enter the householder stage. They typically get married through an arranged marriage from the parents, and fulfill their societal duty of having children. Once their children have grown up and have kids of their own, the person may enter the retiree stage. Here is where they return somewhat to the religious focus of their life much like when they were in the student stage. Finally is the optional stage of renunciate. During this stage the person becomes akin to a monk, they wear orange robes, participate once again in celibacy, and travel to gain further spiritual insight to hasten their achievement of moksha (Molloy, 89–90 and Jones, 2329–2330). The title of the work is "Black Rage", Lauryn Hill shared this painful previously unreleased song "Black Rage" on 21st of august 2014, inspired by the events in Ferguson prompted by the killing of Michael Brown. I identified racism as artist's central argument. Lauryn criticizes earlier notions of racism, where in the song she states that, free enterprise may be a myth or illusion, forcing you back into purposed confusion, black human trafficking or blood transfusion and that Black rage is found on this kind of things among others. She also argues against the use of racism and disagrees with a stance that would have only whites being racist, where in the song she states.
