Development of Nursing Practice in the Past Two Centuries
The Nursing Practice: Development of Nursing Practice in the Past Two Centuries: Similar to other
professions, the nursing practice has developed significantly in the previous two centuries. The
development is evident in the delivery of care that is currently dependent on a range of professionals
required to work together. The need for diverse number of professionals in modern healthcare
settings is for the effective functioning of the practice at the highest level that leads to the provision
of quality care services to patients. The transformation of the nursing practice in the past two
centuries is widely attributed to various significant factors. These factors include technological
developments, the eminence of managerialism, and the focus on production of evidence (Mason–
Whitehead et. al, 2007). Due to these developments, the nursing practice has become a dynamic and
fast–changing profession that deals with numerous theories, views and beliefs, hypotheses, and
models. This profession is not only affected by factors within the healthcare field but it's also
influenced by other branches that work closely with it. As a result, modern day nurses are required
to become knowledgeable about numerous concepts and continue to develop their knowledge in
these areas. One of the most notable features about the development of the nursing practice during
this period is the fact that there has been a great speed of transformation in the past two decades
than the other periods

Examples Of Conformity In The 1950's
The 1950s in the United States started to steer into a different course. In this decade conformity
became a concept to rebel against. Not only is this seen with racial issues of segregation and the
feminist movement pushing for female rights, it also applies to entertainment medias such as novels,
movies and television, and art. During this time people changed previous time's ideals and strove for
change which sparked the cultural and social rebellions in the 1960s.
Cold War tensions in the 1950s lead to an amazing movement in abolishing segregation and
discrimination against minorities in the United States. This war opened people's eyes to the
hypocrisy of American society's cultural beliefs. The early 1950s brought laws banning
discrimination and established fair employment commissions. Brown v. Board of Education was a
legendary Supreme Court case that banned segregation in public schools across the nation. This case
also overturned Plessy v. Fergusson, a case legally enabling segregation, further promoting rights of
minorities in The United States. The next decade was filled and focused on further desegregating
races. Human rights activists such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. emerged and groups
like The Black Panther Party were founded to teach self defense to ... Show more content on

movement. This movement rejected the ideas of racial segregation, women's rights and materialism
held by the generation before them and promoted sexual liberation and drug

The Promise of Global Business Essay
The Promise of Global Business With the obvious growth of technology in what seems to be a
shrinking proverbial planetary topography, it would appear as though we already live in a world
dominated by global business. To some extent, this is true; however, the general population fails to
realize, whether it be due to its own naiveté or credulity, that the business world is only at the brink
of realizing the new capacities in which all undertakings may be handled more efficiently or cost
effectively if it is done with a global perspective. As with all new potential work systems, there are
many obstacles to be hurdled. These are challenges that will not only be faced by business leaders
and corporations, but also by the self–employed, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"Selling your products online allows for immediate entry into the global marketplace. However,
shipping your product overseas presents a few challenges if you have little experience with taxes,
duties, customs laws, and consumer protection issues involved with international commerce"
(International Online Sales). While many countries are finding their economies succumb to a more
level global playing field, their governments will continue to have the best interest of their people in
mind, and reaching these new target markets will still raise difficulties for potential international
businesses even as the playing field levels. This will also pose issues for countries who are not only
seeking to sell merchandise to new markets, but who aim to move operations to these countries.
While technological advancements have made this entirely possible with relative ease, political
leaders governing countries with battered economies will be more cautious over the next decade in
regards to any decisions to allow or deny international operations to be set up within their borders.
The challenges of undertaking a global perspective in business will not only effect retailers and
large corporations over the next decade, but will also play a heavy role in how the self–employed,
entrepreneurs, and free–lance workers conduct business. Two of their biggest challenges –

Time Capsule Speech Sample
Thank you for choosing our school to determine the artifacts for the time capsule to bring with you
on the next Mars space mission. Each ninth grade science student has selected three artifacts for the
time capsule. I have chosen a CD, a book, and a playlist of songs from the 1980's, 1990's, and
2000's.I chose these objects because by the time the future generations find these three things, they
will be irrelevant to our culture. We have selected these objects for the sole purpose of informing the
future of our lives as they would probably become unknown to the mass majority of the future
public. The compact disc is already becoming less known and less used today. It is a circular, silver,
disc with a hole in the center that stores data (mostly music and videos). Not only was the CD a
great form of storing information, it gave people endless hours of entertainment. Whether the
entertainment was movies or music, the CD was still a very important part of people's lives. As you
and I know, lots of people have gotten rid of the CD and by the time the future comes around; the
CD will no longer be used or wanted by anyone or anything. By sending this artifact, you will be

1960s Cinema And Its Impact On Cinema
1960s Movies 1960s cinema reflected the good and the bad of the decade. 1960s cinema influenced
many of the films we have today. 1960s cinema brought attention to movie musicals, which were
movies that had many song and dance numbers along with dialogue and blocking. Three of the
biggest hits of the decade were movie musicals. Some of the decade's biggest hits, including the
movie musicals, are still popular today. In the 1960s, there were many popular movies, both in
theaters and on television, which were produced with money and lots of work. However, 1960s
cinema also had a downfall. Popular Movies of the 1960s 1960s cinema reflected the tremendous

"The 1960s began with a number of movies that were set in World War Ⅱ, in which the United
States and its armed forces were portrayed as heroes" (Benjamin 23) Since Hollywood could not
always predict which films would do well and which ones wouldn't, what worked in the past would
not always work in the present (Dirks) Maybe no other type of movie demonstrates the changing
times of the 60s more than movies built around the talent of rockstars. For example, by 1960, Elvis
Presley had already been cast as leads in four different movies, all with predictable plots where
Elvis played a variety of upper class admirable characters (Benjamin 24). Another type of movie
that was very popular in movies are movie–musicals. "Three of the biggest hits of the decade were
musicals: My Fair Lady (1964), Mary Poppins (1964), and The Sound of Music (1965). Funny Girl
(1968) and Hello, Dolly! (1969) were also successful movie musicals" (Benjamin 33). There were
many other movies made in the 1960s that are still popular today, and tv movies started to become
very popular in the 60s. Television Films By mid to the end of the decade, tv

Primary Themes Of Transgender People
There were many primary themes that I found within my research. One was that most of the people
who had a negative view of transgender people did not personally know anyone who identified as
transgender. Hence, they had either learned about it from friends or the internet. Out of the 10
people interviewed, 6 people did not know anyone who identifies as transgender. Within those 6
people, over half of them had a more of a negative view regarding the transgender community. I
believe this may be because when one cannot attribute humanistic qualities or personal experience
to a topic, one tends to be less sensitive to it. Another primary theme that I found interesting was the
response to the question, "when did you first hear the term transgender?". Interestingly, the people
who did not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise, the 2 people with the strongest negative opinions regarding the matter could pinpoint
where they heard it first and they could give a general answer on how old they were. I believe this is
because if someone is repulsed by the term, they are more likely to remember it because they have a
stronger emotional connection to it, whereas the people who are indifferent just consider it another
term. However, the most major theme was the answer to the question, "within in the next decade or
so, how do you think this topic will evolve, if at all?". Even the people who were most opposed to
transgender people seemed to think that within the next decade people will become more accepting.
In fact, all 10 people stated that they believed that the transgender community will be more accepted
within the next decade. A 21 year old male stated, "I know I'm the minority (relating to not
completely supporting transgender folk), I really do. I think in time people will become more

Canada's Business Cycle
Have you ever wondered how in today's society the prices for products and services are increasing
each day and the average house costs around a million and a half? People are now expecting the
economy to go into a depression. This is what is called the business cycle, a cycle or series of cycles
of economic expansion and contraction. The business cycle was first demonstrated the early 1900s
in Canada in which it made the time period of a time of prosperity and progress for almost all
Canadians. Throughout the different decades between 1900 and 1930s, Canada has progressed
positively in terms of political, economic and social change. For these changes, it is safe to assume
Canada "grew up" in the early 1900s.

Intelligence Security Threats
Dangers to the Government concerning security ever exist. As a result, the Intelligence Security of
the U.S, both the military and researchers should ever be alert and take immediate action whenever
security threat exist either internally or globally. As technology advances day and night, even the
security weapons for defense and attack also change (Reyes and others 2010, 79).
In the next decade, complex and diverse security issues globally can result beyond which
technology can easily handle. Possible threats that can be experienced are varied in nature changing
from weapons, change in climate, use of winds and even internal attacks through liaising with
wrong intent persons. The main challenge that can be encountered in solving these attacks ... Show

Some of the criminal organizations that are a threat to the nation include human traffickers, drug
dealers, and arms smugglers. These groups if there existence is ignored can quickly put hands
together with some officials within the government, and intelligence security forming terrorist
groups. Dealing with terrorists who have liaised with reputable safety and government officials can
be a challenge and a threat to the whole nation since all measures to be done will be made known to
them and counter attack measures formulated.
Technological weapons made from nuclear are other possible weapons that are mass–casualty that
can be used in the future decade of attacks (Blair and Dennis [220], 24–25). A nuclear weapon is not
only a security perturb of the U.S, but also a global concern. Consequently, U.S security defense
team should put more effort in halting the illegal marketing of nuclear substances to terrorist groups
like al–Qaida or any other terrorist group.
Radio–active elements like uranium, a small mass of it, can be used to make a deadly weapon that
can cause mass killing and property loss globally such as the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb.
Advanced technology should be used in detecting nuclear material such as the use of high
technology sensitive devices to detect radio–active elements being transported by attackers (Aloise
and Gene 2009,

Causes Of Immigrants And Jobs
Immigrants And Jobs Immigrants are not the issue, education is. Although many American born
citizens receive great opportunities of education many do not take them. On the other hand,
immigrants come from a low opportunity background since most of the teen's parents did not have
the opportunity to get an education this makes immigrant students strive and have an increased
motivation than most. In the next decade the immigrant population will increase by 20% which
means economic expansion. More people the more money, leading to economic growth.
Unemployment rates have increased since 2006 not because of immigrants, but of economic issues.
Important companies made cuts in employment which affected all American jobs. Another reason is
education.

Technology And Its Impact On Society Essay
Two most important potential changes to NZ's social environment that may influence our businesses
and development of our society during the next decade will be an increasingly improved education,
and a changing age structure, each of which is analysed in the following paragraphs:
One. Improved Education. It is said that, "knowledge is power". Education provides us financial
stability, widens our horizons, improves our self–esteem and brings refinement to our culture, and
invariably, the better jobs go to the better educated. Education is also a most debatable topic, but
technology will continue to make a positive contribution. Technology is helping teachers and
students to access and share information and today there is as great deal more to learn if we are to be
productive members of modern society. Students are continuing to learn useful research skills and
online learning continues to develop (Education World, n.d.). That said, the following changes to
ensure better education are anticipated:
Charter schools. At present NZ has nine charter schools (rebranded Partnership Schools or Kura
Hourua) and seventeen new charter schools are likely to receive government go–ahead in the next
six years (PSKH, n.d.). Thus, it seems that the somewhat controversial charter schools will be a
feature of our educational system for at least the next decade. Such schools allow communities, iwi,
and business organisations to partner with educators to particularly help students from

Rhetorical Analysis Of Jfk Speech
The speech I chose to critique was John F Kennedy's "we choose to go to the moon". John F
Kennedy stood behind the podium in front of a large crowd at Rice University in Houston Texas on
September 12 1962. Kennedy prepared to give a speech that would dramatically change the United
States for decades. The reason I chose this speech was because it is a very powerful and well–
known speech. John F Kennedy was a very great leader and speaker. Kennedy's speech can be
broken down in to four main parts. He starts off the speech by addressing various distinguished
guests and the audience to whom he is making his speech. He then continues by expressing his
gratitude for the opportunity he has been given to speak. He then talks about Rice University and
how it is a center for learning and knowledge. This introduction is merely a formality, yet it creates
a significant connection ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He explains that space exploration is inevitability. He then continues saying that the United States
vowed to never see space filled with weapons of mass destruction, but with instruments of
knowledge and understanding. Kennedy went on to say a very famous line "if we must land on the
moon to preserve a peaceful and free world, then landing on the moon is an absolute necessity".
Such an ideological framing, especially in the cold war context. Kennedy's next point addressed
some of the potential criticisms and concerns. Space exploration is hard and is costs an arm and a
leg. But he continues to ask the audience "why do we climb the highest mountain? Why fly across
the Atlantic?" He says "We go to the moon in this decade, not because it is easy, but because it is
hard. Because the goal organizes and measures the best of American energy and skill." With this he
states that the United States has established to land on the moon. Yet this is not just a claim, this is a

two younger girls. Later both Abernathy and Dail were both freed from federal prison after serving

between the two cases are the convictions of both Abernathy and Dail. At the young age of 18,
Dwayne Allen Dail falsely convicted of a rape, crime and several other charges were put against
him. First, Dail was convicted of a rape crime against Barbara Best's daughter (Mumma). This
shows that the charges were already placed against him. Next, he was also convicted of burglary for
breaking into the apartment in which crime had happened at (Mumma). This shows that Dail was
being suspected of breaking into the apartment, and stealing from the apartment. Finally, Dail had
been convicted with two life terms (Mumma). This shows that if Dail wasn't found innocent later he

Evaluation Of Dekalb, Illinois Development Plan
Development plans are and should be a very complex piece of work. There should be a long process
to come up with problems, goals, fixes and implementation strategies. This paper will be a summary
and evaluation of DeKalb, Illinois development plan. It was adopted in March of 2005. There were
both strong aspects to the plan, as well as areas that need much work to it. DeKalb's plan considers
multiple aspects for the development of many aspects of the community. The plan starts with the
"Desired Development direction." This was the beginning of their update to list off five broad
elements for the future of the city including sustainability, continuous improvement, character,
connectivity and cohesion. To follow these five elements, many meetings were held, a few large and
many small, to get a view from a wide–range of people on what problems the city was facing.
Multiple organizations were in these meetings such as the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce and the
DeKalb Sanitary District Board. There were similar ideas thrown out by all groups that related to the
character issues which include identifying DeKalb as a university town and the safety of the city.
Influences outside of DeKalb include the Rochelle rail port and the Elburn Metra Train to help
people travel into and out of the city. The population growth is one issue that the plan has to focus
on. Much of the population growth in the ten years before this plan was due to an increase in diverse
culture. Land uses from high

Many smaller communities in the United States are already utilizing telemedicine to great advantage
(Burchill, 2010).Although telemedicine is a great way to deliver quality healthcare in a timely
fashion, there is also a downside to the procedure as well. Telemedicine will in some way hinder the
face to face communication between the doctor and patient that is vital in reducing errors. Most
patients have a better understanding of what is expected of them when it is communicated clearly
and effectively by their physician. Communication is the process of understanding and having
meaning (Du Pre, 2005.) and it is also the process of relaying information between people by the
use of words, letters, symbols, or body language (Sallee & Forrest, 2005,). In my opinion I feel that
telemedicine will decrease the moral as far as the Dr. and Patients are concerned. Although
telemedicine may decrease a portion of the healthcare cost by less visits to the doctor, it will lose the
value and importance of actually sitting down and talking with your doctor and receiving that one
on one face to face time. Most patients are not even in tuned with technology and this can result in
many errors and communication issues. What role do you plan to have in the industry? I think once I
have entered the healthcare industry I will play a vital role in implementing fair but tough decision
making when it comes to delivering efficient, friendly, quality healthcare. I feel that I

A Growing Nation Essay
A Growing Nation At the turn of the century many things were happening that would affect America
in ways that would have never been expected. The 1900–1940 era would have truly been an exciting
time to live in. Over these four decades Americans would face some of the most difficult, and
demanding trials in America's history. These decades helped to firmly establish the American
identity and without them America would be vastly different. When looking at how these four
decades helped to establish the American identity one must look at the events, and the economy. The
first year of the sparkling new decade would turn out to be a sad one for most Americans because on

These companies were huge and very powerful, and was Americans were sick of being controlled
by the big companies. Thus Trust era came to and end and the formation of Unions became a vital
part of the American economy(Collins, Alan ) Some of the interesting events that occurred during
this decade were things such as the wright brothers first flight at Kitty Hawk North Carolina; The
first rapid transit system, the New Your City subway system, opens.( Johnson, Deb ); The infamous
San Francisco earthquake and fire occurs.( Collins, Alan ); The invention of the automobile. These
along with many other events would once more help America shape its identity. The Next Decade of
the 20th century held many things in store for the American people. The economy and events that
took place during this time will never be forgotten by anyone in America. The economy of this
decade was once again a shaky one. America was dealing with the fact that times and the economy
were growing faster than they could keep up with. One of the key factors that spurred the economy
was the Ford Motor Company. In 1914 Henry Ford startled the country by instituting the then high

Global Future Of The United Kingdom
Global look in the next twenty–five years
Introduction
Power in the global system is relative and always changing. Countries and regions fall and rise
mainly due to the unbalanced levels of economic growth, imperial overstretch and wars. Some
global regions develop more drastically compared to others due to domestic institutions, policies,
effective political leadership, technology and the ability to mobilize state resources that put them at
an advantage position over another state and regions. Just some decades ago, the United Kingdom
has been the center of the global.
The next 25 years will witness drastic shifts in technology and may even change the idea of being
human beings to an amazing scale. However, in the short run, the next 25 years, the globe will still
be under the activities of nation–states and the key issue will be the power shift from the west to the
east (Forbes, 2013). By 2040, the international platform will be more sophisticated, divided between
a wide America sphere of influence in the Middle East, Europe and south Asia, and a Chinese
sphere in Africa and East Asia. Even while having its sphere of influence, the United States will
experience challenges from previous peripheries. The huge, well–educated populations of Brazil,
Turkey, Poland, and the surround states will create their blocks, and Russia will strive to revive
itself.
Nonetheless, The United States will not cease being the world's strongest superpower. The financial

Social Security and Medicare Will Hang by a Thread
People receiving Social Security and Medicare need to prepare for drastic changes. Social Security
and Medicare in unity has been around since 1965. President Lyndon B. Johnson decided to help the
elderly pay for expensive medical necessities from doctor visits to medicine. President Johnson
knew that elderly individuals would have less income and pay more for medical necessities than
younger individuals. He made Social Security and Medicare a number one priority during his
presidency, not knowing years down the line doctors and pharmaceutical companies would try to
squeeze the life out of it. Through the years doctors' and pharmaceutical companies have become
greedy. Doctors diagnose patients, prescribe medications, and send them to pharmaceutical
companies that charge high prices for medications that help maintain their well–being. Although
over half of our elderly individuals with Social Security and Medicare benefits are already
struggling to accommodate their ends. Therefore a reform of both Social Security and Medicare
needs to take place before it is too late. Social Security and Medicare funding will be the most

Financial Services Industry Report
In order to succeed in the global market, it is imperative to know the various global financial
institutions and the sources of funds for international operations. This paper will identify the role of
financial institutions in the global economy and explore changes this industry will be experiencing
during the next decade. In addition, this paper will demonstrate the impact these changes will have
on Campbell Soup Company.

When a multinational company has difficulty raising equity capital, due to the lack of adequate
private risk capital in a foreign country, the company may explore the possibility of selling partial
ownership to the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The IFC is a subsidiary of the World
Bank that also provides debt capital and equity capital to qualified companies (Basic facts about
IFC, 2005, p1).
These alternative sources of financing may significantly differ with respect to cost, terms, and
conditions. Therefore, management must carefully locate and use the proper means to finance
international business operations.
Due to the fact that more firms are becoming multinational, it is expected that the GFS will gain
importance over the next decade. Expanding operations to foreign countries has become the goal for
many U.S. companies. In addition, the above–mentioned financial institutions will play a big role in
the decision making if operations can expand abroad or not. Considering that the services the GFS
provides encompass a wide array of services, it is likely that the magnitude of this industry will
increase proportionately with the speed of globalization. Globalization will be the driving force for
the GFS. As our world becomes more interrelated, global financial institutions will become helping
guides to companies who want to become multinational.

What Is The Theme Of The Next Decade By George Friedman
Faith Paletti
March 14, 2017
Dr. Cole
"The Next Decade" In George Friedman's book The Next Decade, he addresses the relationships
between the United States and other countries around the world while highlighting the overall
wellbeing of the International Relations standpoint throughout the 2010's. Friedman also discusses
the irony of "the empire and the republic" while examining several demographic, technological, and
economic issues that will impact the 2010's. Friedman explains that "the empire and the republic" is
how the people and the republic hold a relationship with the empire and the government. The Next
Decade is a inclusive and significant examination of the challenges and benefits of being the only
superpower after the Cold War. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Friedman's main thesis is focused on the necessity to uphold balances of power. Essentially,
Friedman argues that "during the next decade, the United States must manage the chaos of the
Islamic world, a resurgent Russia, a sullen and divided Europe, and a China both huge and
profoundly troubled ". This leads to the question as to the uselessness and waste of applying vast
resources to national security and wars for questionable reasons such as Iraq and Afghanistan. New
York Times writer, Robert Dunn, touches on how previous ineffectiveness and waste has created a
worldwide financial crisis and how this crisis has led to possibly dangerous imbalances. Even
though Friedman made very valid points throughout his book, being in a financial crisis creates a
difficult start in a changing

What Major Trends Do You See Affecting The Roles Of...
A) What major trends do you see affecting the roles of purchasing managers in the next decade?
In the globalization era, there are several major trends that affect to the roles of purchasing manager.
As emerging markets assume a greater role in the global economy, the traditional demand and
supply poles that have shaped global commerce over the last 50 years will change dramatically.
More and more global company will have their purchasing managers based in China, India or

education and professional services. Geographical shifts into new emerging market will require
procurement teams to have a diverse workforce that will be more relevant to local social and
cultural dictates. In the transparent world, the procurement organizations to go far beyond corporate
social responsibility and must have a multidimensional approach to managing the supply chain. We
cannot forget the foundation factors of purchasing organization including information system,
finance and risk. As big data is increasingly intertwined into corporate decision–making processes,
the purchasing manager will need to become more comfortable with advanced data mining and
analysis techniques. They will also need to develop financial acumen that rivals those of their

Health Systems Development : Motive And Thesis
Health Systems Development Motive and Thesis Universal access to specific health services was
reflected in the MDGs and several targets have been achieved over the past 15 years. For example,
universal access to treatment for HIV/AIDS in the form of antiretroviral therapy has increased since
the year 2000 and as a result millions of deaths have been prevented (UN, 2015). However, in order
to continue this progress and ensure sustainable development, strengthening health systems is
necessary. Specifically, as NCDs have become leading causes of mortality and health needs and
demographics have changed with this epidemiological shift, it is necessary for health systems to
focus on prevention and management. Integrating chronic care models into health care systems can
potentially have immense impacts on health and human development over the next two decades.
Evidence NCDs are not only one of the leading causes of premature death in low– and middle–
income countries but they are also responsible for a majority of older adult deaths. Around the
globe, the number of individuals over 60 years of age is increasing faster than any other age group
due to longer life expectancy and declines in fertility rates (WHO, 2015d). Moreover, children are
also vulnerable to risk factors that contribute to NCDs, such as unhealthy diets and physical
inactivity (WHO, 2015b). The significant prevalence of NCDs demonstrates that targeting them
should be a priority over the next two decades,

Summary Of The Next Decade By George Friedman
The Next Decade by George Friedman is a strong, opinionated view of America's history and
potential future path. Friedman deeply analyzes the historical events and phenomenon that have
brought the United States to the position it holds in the world today. He also speaks of where
America is headed over the next ten years and gives suggestions and predictions about where the
world is headed and what actions should/will be taken. Friedman coves a wide variety of topics,
most notably the American empire, terrorism and the Middle East, and the role of the rest of the
world (Russia, Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa). Though his historical context is well
researched, some of his recommendations for the future are often poorly thought through and fail to
take into account ethics and implications of America's actions. ... Show more content on

The main flaw with this point of view is the assumption that, because America has a strong grip on
world economy and politics, it is ethical for her to take control of world affairs. The reality of the
matter is, America's massive wealth and military force does not necessarily mean that the
government of the United States is wiser than the rest of the world. Rather than abusing her power,
America should focus on being a team player and promoting democracy at home and abroad
through allying themselves with countries holding similar values. In today's world it is nearly
impossible for an action that America takes to not have drastic consequences in many different

Changing the Target Audience in Retail Sales
"On average, middle–aged consumers devote 39 percent of their retail expenditure to department
store products and services, while for younger consumers the average is only 25 percent. Since the
number of middle–aged people will increase dramatically within the next decade, department stores
can expect retail sales to increase significantly during that period. Furthermore, to take advantage of
the trend, these stores should begin to replace some of those products intended to attract the younger
consumer with products intended to attract the middle–aged consumer." Essay 1: The argument that

Ultimately, the argument might have been strengthened by making it clear that the business volumes
of both types of consumers are the same and comparable, that the increase of a certain type of
consumers are correlated with the increase of the retail sales, and that the growth rate of the younger
consumers are the same as that of the middle–aged consumers. Essay 3: Based on an expected
increase in the number of middle–aged people during the next decade, the author predicts that retail
sales at department stores will increase significantly over the next ten years. To bolster this
prediction, the author cites statistics showing that middle–aged people devote a much higher
percentage of their retail expenditure to department–store services and products than younger
consumers do. Since the number of middle–aged consumers is on the rise and since they spend more
than younger people on department–store goods and services, the author further recommends that
department stores begin to adjust their inventories to capitalize on this trend. Specifically, it is
recommended that department stores increase their inventory of products aimed at middle–aged
consumers and decrease their inventory of products aimed at younger consumers. This argument is
problematic for two reasons. First, an increase in the number of middle–aged people does not

That apart, even though the presses will be covered under a three year warranty, in case there is

Some positives for this supplier are that it will help us in commissioning and in case of any major
breakdown, Merakuri promises us next day service, as the company has a distributor located in
Regina. This in itself increases our confidence, as we know that Merakuri is a big enough fish to
have its distributor in Canada.
The rookie, Pnutype – A total novice in the market, this company utilizes state of art technology.
The technology is so good that it produces excellent results. If Pnutype presses are acquired, it will
give our company an edge over our competitors.
There are a few drawbacks to Pnutype and its presses. This company has been making presses for
only two and a half years. Among all of the prospective suppliers for the new presses, Pnutype has
no proximal presence. Its closest presence is in the United States. Considering our top management
being high level of cost consciousness, Pnutype presses are, by far, the most expensive option.
It, however, has the reputation of its presses requiring zero maintenance. One company that uses
Pnutype presses provided this feedback.

Turtlenecks Future
How will the world change in ten, fifteen, or even twenty years? There is no denying that the way
the world was in the 90s is different than how it's in 2015. In the 90s turtlenecks were popular. Now,
the style is low–cut shirts. In the next decade or so, the fashion industry will probably change in a
crazy way. The fashions will most likely become more extreme. Makeup might become more
radical. An example would be the possibility of colored eyelashes and eyebrows. What we know
now to be stylish will be vintage to the next generation. The new generation will have a whole new
way to look at clothing. In the future the medical discovery will be extensive. The world of
prosthesis has become more innovative in the last year. In the nineties, prosthetics were made of
plastic, wood, and leather. Recently, doctors have designed a prosthetic arm in which the nerves
from the brain are sent to the arm. This allows full function. This is only the beginning to a future of
bionic prosthetic arms. In the future, doctors could design a bionic arm that doesn't look so robotic.
A new arm that looks real and has full function might be designed. If doctors keep on being
innovative, the most high tech arm could be created, and the prosthesis will be easy to access. ...

Brooks, Gwendolyn Essay example
Brooks, Gwendolyn
Poet, writer. Born June 7, 1917, in Topeka, Kansas. Throughout most of the twentieth century,
Gwendolyn Brooks was a lyrical chronicler of the black urban experience in America. In 1950, she
became the first African–American poet to win the Pulitzer Prize.
Brooks grew up on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. She began writing poetry as a young girl,
and by the age of 16 had begun publishing her poems regularly in The Chicago Defender. She
attended the Woodrow Wilson Junior College in Chicago before marrying a fellow writer, Henry L.
Blakely, in 1939. The couple lived together in Chicago, divorcing in 1969 but reuniting in 1973.

Bean Eaters (1960), widely considered to contain some of her finest verse, and Selected Poems

In the latter half of the 1960s, Brooks' poetry became mroe radical and took on a more explicit tone
of social concern, a transition that coincided with the politically charged atmosphere of the decade
and the influence of the black power movement among African–American writers and thinkers. Her
next volume of poetry, In the Mecca (1968), told the bleak story of people living in the Mecca, a
large, fortress–like apartment building on the South Side that had deteriorated into a slum. The book
clearly displayed Brooks' new political awareness, including a poem entitled "Malcolm X," after the
black militant leader who was assassinated in 1965.
In the Mecca was nominated for the National Book Award. It was also the last of Brooks' books
published by a mainstream publisher, Harper & Row. Her next book, Riot (1969) was published by
Broadside Press, a small, black–owned company based in Detroit. With a newly political tone and
without a mainstream publisher, Brooks' later works often received little attention from the critics at
major publications. Nevertheless, she remained a major literary figure throughout the next several
decades, publishing more than a dozen volumes of poetry, including Aloneness (1971), To

Great Performances Of Media Do Not Always Have On Involve...
Great performances in media do not always have to involve theatrical acrobatics. An actor's range or
displays of genuine, emotional depth are necessary to build a character that is alive and multi–
faceted. But, an actor's ability to encapsulate a narrative within one's own character is what is truly a
display of an artist. Poetry has a phrase to describe the use of as few words as possible to encompass
vast terrain of depth called the economy of language. Actors may not know it, but they operate on
very similar guidelines. The small choices in an actor's repertoire to move the body at a certain
angle, to speak at a certain octave, the confidence by which one conveys a piece of dialogue. This
"economy" of persona l expression builds a narrative of whom this character really is. The choice of
a certain actor can change the implications of a character as well. For example, the well–known
George Clooney's educated and liberal personal background influences many movie goers in multi–
dimensional ways. The crucial choice can change what a certain audience will see the person's
actions are relatable or even moral. Basically, sometimes great performances come down to the right
people being put in the right scenarios and given the right tools. Enter Bud Corts and Kyle
Maclachan.
Bud and Kyle's characters both come from very similar backgrounds. They are Caucasian, affluent,
young adult male. On the verge of maturity, these two men overcome the two typical hurdles of

"So... what are 3 things that come to mind when you think of the word "ethics", as it applies to you

The three things that come to mind when I think of the word ethics that applies to me personally is
that ultimately treat people the way you want them to treat you, in business and personally. I say that
because it covers everything, the choices we do or do not make, and help in deciding the course of
actions we take through life. Even though it is different for everyone.
Honesty and integrity are the next things that come to mind. For me, it is personal and helps me lead
a fuller, more enriched life. I work to rid myself of negative qualities; feelings and emotions that
could hold me back from personal self–growth. At times I fail, but my goal is to be honest with
others and myself. You see, if we are honest in all that we do and say, it means we are a genuine,

Is South Korea And The Global Market For The Next Decade?
Investors tend to limit their investments to those companies domiciled in their own country due to a
strong home country bias, which is one of the most enduring and best documented behavioral biases
in investing. However, emerging market equities are too large to be ignored, and they represent
24.6% of the world's market capitalization according to March 2015 data from World Bank. As
emerging markets grow over time, they have also become less risky since they are more tightly
correlated to developed markets. Regardless of Korea's political risk, I personally believe South
Korea will outperform the global market for the next decade due to several factors including tax
supports, its strategic location, and an education system. Many people are hesitant about investing in
South Korea since they are currently in a state of war with North Korea, and incidents involving
military occur from time to time to increase tension between two countries. Although South Korea's
political violence resulted in an increase in risk, the country itself shows general peace and stability
due to an armistice agreement that has lasted for around 60 years. South Korea did not have a single
history of political violence directed against foreign investors, and they were able to accumulate
USD 19 billion of foreign direct investment in 2014. Foreign direct investments have become

The Deficit And Its Effect On The Next Decade
*As the day goes by almost never–ending so to will the U.S. budget continually growing. However,
in the previous years the deficit has sharply declined from one year to the next. Specifically, in
2014, the deficit in total, was 514 billion (2014). Yes, 514 billion dollars is unbelievable, yet this
number is surprisingly less than what the United States had previous to new laws being
implemented. Specifically, in 2009, the deficit was 1.4 trillion dollars (2014). This trend is highly
permissible, however is this decline something that we may expect to occur in the next decade.
Unfortunately, as the Congressional Budget Office states, "Under current law, deficits will drop
through 2015 but rise thereafter, boosting the already high federal debt, CBO projects. Economic
growth will be solid in the near term, but unemployment will not drop below 6.0 percent until 2017"
(2014). With the aforementioned statement, what will the deficit impact in the next decade? Feasibly
one may conclude that when the deficit rises, so may other portions. Particularly, the size of the
economy will open–endedly flourish, with this so will spending. Unnervingly, spending will grow
more rapidly than the GDP as the age of our population grows, so will their contributions to the
economy. These contributions as the CBO states are, "the expansion of federal subsidies for health
insurance, rising health care costs per beneficiary, and mounting interest costs of federal debt. By

Development Of Nursing Practice In The Past Two Centuries

  • 1. Development of Nursing Practice in the Past Two Centuries The Nursing Practice: Development of Nursing Practice in the Past Two Centuries: Similar to other professions, the nursing practice has developed significantly in the previous two centuries. The development is evident in the delivery of care that is currently dependent on a range of professionals required to work together. The need for diverse number of professionals in modern healthcare settings is for the effective functioning of the practice at the highest level that leads to the provision of quality care services to patients. The transformation of the nursing practice in the past two centuries is widely attributed to various significant factors. These factors include technological developments, the eminence of managerialism, and the focus on production of evidence (Mason– Whitehead et. al, 2007). Due to these developments, the nursing practice has become a dynamic and fast–changing profession that deals with numerous theories, views and beliefs, hypotheses, and models. This profession is not only affected by factors within the healthcare field but it's also influenced by other branches that work closely with it. As a result, modern day nurses are required to become knowledgeable about numerous concepts and continue to develop their knowledge in these areas. One of the most notable features about the development of the nursing practice during this period is the fact that there has been a great speed of transformation in the past two decades than the other periods ... • 2. Examples Of Conformity In The 1950's The 1950s in the United States started to steer into a different course. In this decade conformity became a concept to rebel against. Not only is this seen with racial issues of segregation and the feminist movement pushing for female rights, it also applies to entertainment medias such as novels, movies and television, and art. During this time people changed previous time's ideals and strove for change which sparked the cultural and social rebellions in the 1960s. Cold War tensions in the 1950s lead to an amazing movement in abolishing segregation and discrimination against minorities in the United States. This war opened people's eyes to the hypocrisy of American society's cultural beliefs. The early 1950s brought laws banning discrimination and established fair employment commissions. Brown v. Board of Education was a legendary Supreme Court case that banned segregation in public schools across the nation. This case also overturned Plessy v. Fergusson, a case legally enabling segregation, further promoting rights of minorities in The United States. The next decade was filled and focused on further desegregating races. Human rights activists such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. emerged and groups like The Black Panther Party were founded to teach self defense to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These films as well as several others broadcasted around the same time shaped counterculture. Presenting these "misfit" characters appealed to young audiences and led them to rebel against the previous generation's way of life in the 1960's counterculture movement. • 3. The Promise of Global Business Essay The Promise of Global Business With the obvious growth of technology in what seems to be a shrinking proverbial planetary topography, it would appear as though we already live in a world dominated by global business. To some extent, this is true; however, the general population fails to realize, whether it be due to its own naiveté or credulity, that the business world is only at the brink of realizing the new capacities in which all undertakings may be handled more efficiently or cost effectively if it is done with a global perspective. As with all new potential work systems, there are many obstacles to be hurdled. These are challenges that will not only be faced by business leaders and corporations, but also by the self–employed, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Selling your products online allows for immediate entry into the global marketplace. However, shipping your product overseas presents a few challenges if you have little experience with taxes, duties, customs laws, and consumer protection issues involved with international commerce" (International Online Sales). While many countries are finding their economies succumb to a more level global playing field, their governments will continue to have the best interest of their people in mind, and reaching these new target markets will still raise difficulties for potential international businesses even as the playing field levels. This will also pose issues for countries who are not only seeking to sell merchandise to new markets, but who aim to move operations to these countries. While technological advancements have made this entirely possible with relative ease, political leaders governing countries with battered economies will be more cautious over the next decade in regards to any decisions to allow or deny international operations to be set up within their borders. The challenges of undertaking a global perspective in business will not only effect retailers and large corporations over the next decade, but will also play a heavy role in how the self–employed, entrepreneurs, and free–lance workers conduct business. Two of their biggest challenges – competition and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Time Capsule Speech Sample Thank you for choosing our school to determine the artifacts for the time capsule to bring with you on the next Mars space mission. Each ninth grade science student has selected three artifacts for the time capsule. I have chosen a CD, a book, and a playlist of songs from the 1980's, 1990's, and 2000's.I chose these objects because by the time the future generations find these three things, they will be irrelevant to our culture. We have selected these objects for the sole purpose of informing the future of our lives as they would probably become unknown to the mass majority of the future public. The compact disc is already becoming less known and less used today. It is a circular, silver, disc with a hole in the center that stores data (mostly music and videos). Not only was the CD a great form of storing information, it gave people endless hours of entertainment. Whether the entertainment was movies or music, the CD was still a very important part of people's lives. As you and I know, lots of people have gotten rid of the CD and by the time the future comes around; the CD will no longer be used or wanted by anyone or anything. By sending this artifact, you will be teaching the future of our time period. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sadly the book has been underappreciated in recent years and I would hate to see it go. • 5. 1960s Cinema And Its Impact On Cinema 1960s Movies 1960s cinema reflected the good and the bad of the decade. 1960s cinema influenced many of the films we have today. 1960s cinema brought attention to movie musicals, which were movies that had many song and dance numbers along with dialogue and blocking. Three of the biggest hits of the decade were movie musicals. Some of the decade's biggest hits, including the movie musicals, are still popular today. In the 1960s, there were many popular movies, both in theaters and on television, which were produced with money and lots of work. However, 1960s cinema also had a downfall. "The 1960s began with a number of movies that were set in World War Ⅱ, in which the United States and its armed forces were portrayed as heroes" (Benjamin 23) Since Hollywood could not always predict which films would do well and which ones wouldn't, what worked in the past would not always work in the present (Dirks) Maybe no other type of movie demonstrates the changing times of the 60s more than movies built around the talent of rockstars. For example, by 1960, Elvis Presley had already been cast as leads in four different movies, all with predictable plots where Elvis played a variety of upper class admirable characters (Benjamin 24). Another type of movie that was very popular in movies are movie–musicals. "Three of the biggest hits of the decade were musicals: My Fair Lady (1964), Mary Poppins (1964), and The Sound of Music (1965). Funny Girl (1968) and Hello, Dolly! (1969) were also successful movie musicals" (Benjamin 33). There were many other movies made in the 1960s that are still popular today, and tv movies started to become very popular in the 60s. • 6. Primary Themes Of Transgender People There were many primary themes that I found within my research. One was that most of the people who had a negative view of transgender people did not personally know anyone who identified as transgender. Hence, they had either learned about it from friends or the internet. Out of the 10 people interviewed, 6 people did not know anyone who identifies as transgender. Within those 6 people, over half of them had a more of a negative view regarding the transgender community. I believe this may be because when one cannot attribute humanistic qualities or personal experience to a topic, one tends to be less sensitive to it. Another primary theme that I found interesting was the response to the question, "when did you first hear the term transgender?". Interestingly, the people who did not ... Likewise, the 2 people with the strongest negative opinions regarding the matter could pinpoint where they heard it first and they could give a general answer on how old they were. I believe this is because if someone is repulsed by the term, they are more likely to remember it because they have a stronger emotional connection to it, whereas the people who are indifferent just consider it another term. However, the most major theme was the answer to the question, "within in the next decade or so, how do you think this topic will evolve, if at all?". Even the people who were most opposed to transgender people seemed to think that within the next decade people will become more accepting. In fact, all 10 people stated that they believed that the transgender community will be more accepted within the next decade. The business cycle was first demonstrated the early 1900s in Canada in which it made the time period of a time of prosperity and progress for almost all Canadians. Throughout the different decades between 1900 and 1930s, Canada has progressed positively in terms of political, economic and social change. Although many American born citizens receive great opportunities of education many do not take them. On the other hand, immigrants come from a low opportunity background since most of the teen's parents did not have the opportunity to get an education this makes immigrant students strive and have an increased motivation than most. In the next decade the immigrant population will increase by 20% which means economic expansion. More people the more money, leading to economic growth. • 11. Technology And Its Impact On Society Essay Two most important potential changes to NZ's social environment that may influence our businesses and development of our society during the next decade will be an increasingly improved education, and a changing age structure, each of which is analysed in the following paragraphs: One. Improved Education. It is said that, "knowledge is power". Education provides us financial stability, widens our horizons, improves our self–esteem and brings refinement to our culture, and invariably, the better jobs go to the better educated. Education is also a most debatable topic, but technology will continue to make a positive contribution. Technology is helping teachers and students to access and share information and today there is as great deal more to learn if we are to be productive members of modern society. Students are continuing to learn useful research skills and online learning continues to develop (Education World, n.d.). That said, the following changes to ensure better education are anticipated: Charter schools. At present NZ has nine charter schools (rebranded Partnership Schools or Kura Hourua) and seventeen new charter schools are likely to receive government go–ahead in the next six years (PSKH, n.d.). Thus, it seems that the somewhat controversial charter schools will be a feature of our educational system for at least the next decade. John F Kennedy stood behind the podium in front of a large crowd at Rice University in Houston Texas on September 12 1962. Kennedy prepared to give a speech that would dramatically change the United States for decades. The reason I chose this speech was because it is a very powerful and well– known speech. John F Kennedy was a very great leader and speaker. Kennedy's speech can be broken down in to four main parts. He starts off the speech by addressing various distinguished guests and the audience to whom he is making his speech. Such an ideological framing, especially in the cold war context. Kennedy's next point addressed some of the potential criticisms and concerns. Space exploration is hard and is costs an arm and a leg. But he continues to ask the audience "why do we climb the highest mountain? Why fly across the Atlantic?" He says "We go to the moon in this decade, not because it is easy, but because it is hard. Because the goal organizes and measures the best of American energy and skill." With this he states that the United States has established to land on the moon. There should be a long process to come up with problems, goals, fixes and implementation strategies. This paper will be a summary and evaluation of DeKalb, Illinois development plan. It was adopted in March of 2005. There were both strong aspects to the plan, as well as areas that need much work to it. DeKalb's plan considers multiple aspects for the development of many aspects of the community. The plan starts with the "Desired Development direction." This was the beginning of their update to list off five broad elements for the future of the city including sustainability, continuous improvement, character, connectivity and cohesion. To follow these five elements, many meetings were held, a few large and many small, to get a view from a wide–range of people on what problems the city was facing. Multiple organizations were in these meetings such as the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce and the DeKalb Sanitary District Board. There were similar ideas thrown out by all groups that related to the character issues which include identifying DeKalb as a university town and the safety of the city. Influences outside of DeKalb include the Rochelle rail port and the Elburn Metra Train to help people travel into and out of the city. Many smaller communities in the United States are already utilizing telemedicine to great advantage (Burchill, 2010).Although telemedicine is a great way to deliver quality healthcare in a timely fashion, there is also a downside to the procedure as well. Telemedicine will in some way hinder the face to face communication between the doctor and patient that is vital in reducing errors. Most patients have a better understanding of what is expected of them when it is communicated clearly and effectively by their physician. Communication is the process of understanding and having meaning (Du Pre, 2005.) and it is also the process of relaying information between people by the use of words, letters, symbols, or body language (Sallee & Forrest, 2005,). In my opinion I feel that telemedicine will decrease the moral as far as the Dr. and Patients are concerned. Although telemedicine may decrease a portion of the healthcare cost by less visits to the doctor, it will lose the value and importance of actually sitting down and talking with your doctor and receiving that one on one face to face time. Most patients are not even in tuned with technology and this can result in many errors and communication issues. What role do you plan to have in the industry? President Johnson knew that elderly individuals would have less income and pay more for medical necessities than younger individuals. He made Social Security and Medicare a number one priority during his presidency, not knowing years down the line doctors and pharmaceutical companies would try to squeeze the life out of it. Through the years doctors' and pharmaceutical companies have become greedy. Doctors diagnose patients, prescribe medications, and send them to pharmaceutical companies that charge high prices for medications that help maintain their well–being. For example, universal access to treatment for HIV/AIDS in the form of antiretroviral therapy has increased since the year 2000 and as a result millions of deaths have been prevented (UN, 2015). However, in order to continue this progress and ensure sustainable development, strengthening health systems is necessary. Specifically, as NCDs have become leading causes of mortality and health needs and demographics have changed with this epidemiological shift, it is necessary for health systems to focus on prevention and management. Integrating chronic care models into health care systems can potentially have immense impacts on health and human development over the next two decades. Evidence NCDs are not only one of the leading causes of premature death in low– and middle– income countries but they are also responsible for a majority of older adult deaths. Recently, doctors have designed a prosthetic arm in which the nerves from the brain are sent to the arm. This allows full function. This is only the beginning to a future of bionic prosthetic arms. In the future, doctors could design a bionic arm that doesn't look so robotic. A new arm that looks real and has full function might be designed. If doctors keep on being innovative, the most high tech arm could be created, and the prosthesis will be easy to access. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 32. Brooks, Gwendolyn Essay example Brooks, Gwendolyn Poet, writer. Born June 7, 1917, in Topeka, Kansas. Throughout most of the twentieth century, Gwendolyn Brooks was a lyrical chronicler of the black urban experience in America. In 1950, she became the first African–American poet to win the Pulitzer Prize. Brooks grew up on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. She began writing poetry as a young girl, and by the age of 16 had begun publishing her poems regularly in The Chicago Defender. She attended the Woodrow Wilson Junior College in Chicago before marrying a fellow writer, Henry L. Blakely, in 1939. The couple lived together in Chicago, divorcing in 1969 but reuniting in 1973. A collection of children's poems, entitled Bronzeville Boys and Girls (1956), was followed by The Bean Eaters (1960), widely considered to contain some of her finest verse, and Selected Poems (1963). In the latter half of the 1960s, Brooks' poetry became mroe radical and took on a more explicit tone of social concern, a transition that coincided with the politically charged atmosphere of the decade and the influence of the black power movement among African–American writers and thinkers. Her next volume of poetry, In the Mecca (1968), told the bleak story of people living in the Mecca, a large, fortress–like apartment building on the South Side that had deteriorated into a slum. The book clearly displayed Brooks' new political awareness, including a poem entitled "Malcolm X," after the black militant leader who was assassinated in 1965. In the Mecca was nominated for the National Book Award. It was also the last of Brooks' books published by a mainstream publisher, Harper & Row. Her next book, Riot (1969) was published by Broadside Press, a small, black–owned company based in Detroit. With a newly political tone and without a mainstream publisher, Brooks' later works often received little attention from the critics at major publications. Nevertheless, she remained a major literary figure throughout the next several decades, publishing more than a dozen volumes of poetry, including Aloneness (1971), To Disembark (1981), The ... • 33. Great Performances Of Media Do Not Always Have On Involve... Great performances in media do not always have to involve theatrical acrobatics. An actor's range or displays of genuine, emotional depth are necessary to build a character that is alive and multi– faceted. But, an actor's ability to encapsulate a narrative within one's own character is what is truly a display of an artist. Poetry has a phrase to describe the use of as few words as possible to encompass vast terrain of depth called the economy of language. Actors may not know it, but they operate on very similar guidelines. The small choices in an actor's repertoire to move the body at a certain angle, to speak at a certain octave, the confidence by which one conveys a piece of dialogue. This "economy" of persona l expression builds a narrative of whom this character really is. The choice of a certain actor can change the implications of a character as well. For example, the well–known George Clooney's educated and liberal personal background influences many movie goers in multi– dimensional ways. The crucial choice can change what a certain audience will see the person's actions are relatable or even moral. Basically, sometimes great performances come down to the right people being put in the right scenarios and given the right tools. Enter Bud Corts and Kyle Maclachan. Bud and Kyle's characters both come from very similar backgrounds. They are Caucasian, affluent, young adult male. On the verge of maturity, these two men overcome the two typical hurdles of adulthood seen in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Three Things That Come To Mind When You Think Of The Word... Learning Activity #1 "So... what are 3 things that come to mind when you think of the word "ethics", as it applies to you personally?" The three things that come to mind when I think of the word ethics that applies to me personally is that ultimately treat people the way you want them to treat you, in business and personally. I say that because it covers everything, the choices we do or do not make, and help in deciding the course of actions we take through life. Even though it is different for everyone. Honesty and integrity are the next things that come to mind. For me, it is personal and helps me lead a fuller, more enriched life. I work to rid myself of negative qualities; feelings and emotions that could hold me back from personal self–growth. At times I fail, but my goal is to be honest with others and myself. You see, if we are honest in all that we do and say, it means we are a genuine, real and trustworthy person. An American plane secretly took photos of nuclear missile sites being made by the Soviet Union in Cuba. JFK did not want SU or Cuba to find out that he discovered the missiles. President Obama Rewards The Ayatollah Analysis President Obama rewards the Ayatollah by delisting his financial empire Because of the sunset clauses in the JCPOA, the ultimate success of the nuclear deal depends on transformation of the Iranian regime over the next decade from a hardliner revolutionary regime to a moderate one. Surprisingly, the JCPOA removes the supreme leader's financial empire from the sanction list on the implementation day. The Ayatollah has used this exclusively controlled financial–industrial conglomerate to pursue his hardline policy of supporting terrorist groups in the region, oppressing dissidents in Iran and demanding annihilation of Israel. • 37. Is South Korea And The Global Market For The Next Decade? Investors tend to limit their investments to those companies domiciled in their own country due to a strong home country bias, which is one of the most enduring and best documented behavioral biases in investing. However, emerging market equities are too large to be ignored, and they represent 24.6% of the world's market capitalization according to March 2015 data from World Bank. As emerging markets grow over time, they have also become less risky since they are more tightly correlated to developed markets. Regardless of Korea's political risk, I personally believe South Korea will outperform the global market for the next decade due to several factors including tax supports, its strategic location, and an education system. Many people are hesitant about investing in South Korea since they are currently in a state of war with North Korea, and incidents involving military occur from time to time to increase tension between two countries. Although South Korea's political violence resulted in an increase in risk, the country itself shows general peace and stability due to an armistice agreement that has lasted for around 60 years. South Korea did not have a single history of political violence directed against foreign investors, and they were able to accumulate USD 19 billion of foreign direct investment in 2014. Foreign direct investments have become essential part of the Korean economy as the foreign invested companies in Korea now account for 13% of sales, 12% of all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. The Deficit And Its Effect On The Next Decade *As the day goes by almost never–ending so to will the U.S. budget continually growing. However, in the previous years the deficit has sharply declined from one year to the next. Specifically, in 2014, the deficit in total, was 514 billion (2014). Yes, 514 billion dollars is unbelievable, yet this number is surprisingly less than what the United States had previous to new laws being implemented. Specifically, in 2009, the deficit was 1.4 trillion dollars (2014). This trend is highly permissible, however is this decline something that we may expect to occur in the next decade. Unfortunately, as the Congressional Budget Office states, "Under current law, deficits will drop through 2015 but rise thereafter, boosting the already high federal debt, CBO projects. Economic growth will be solid in the near term, but unemployment will not drop below 6.0 percent until 2017" (2014). With the aforementioned statement, what will the deficit impact in the next decade? Feasibly one may conclude that when the deficit rises, so may other portions. Particularly, the size of the economy will open–endedly flourish, with this so will spending. Unnervingly, spending will grow more rapidly than the GDP as the age of our population grows, so will their contributions to the economy. These contributions as the CBO states are, "the expansion of federal subsidies for health insurance, rising health care costs per beneficiary, and mounting interest costs of federal debt. By contrast, all federal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
