magazine feel more personal.

This attracts the audience as it makes the artist look
cool and current, and when the artist looks perfect
the audience are more likely to buy the magazine as
they see them as a role model.
Coverlines Bold, attention grabbing font

My audience research found that these three colours
were the colours my target audience associated with
the rock genre. The wording encourages the reader to
find out more and the font draws them in.
Puff Contains an incentive to win a new
guitar
This attracts the audience as it makes them want to
buy the magazine in order to have a chance of
winning.
Fonts My front cover uses a variety of
different and interesting fonts that I
downloaded off dafont
This attracts the audience as it adds texture to the
page and makes it more interesting to look at. The
font also have connotations of rock.
3. CONTENTS PAGE
Language Uses the pronoun “you” to address the
audience
Uses slang
This attracts the audience as it makes them feel like
they are being spoken to directly, and the slang gives
the magazine a more relaxed feel.
3 Column Structure The articles and images are arranged in
3 columns
This attracts the audience as they are able to navigate
the page easily and it is easier to understand.
Images Interesting and eye catching, edited and
enhanced in photoshop to make the
colours and contrast brighter.
The images add colour to the page and make it more
interesting. They all link to the interests of my target
audience (rock).
Fonts Used simple fonts for my article titles
and article information, used the font
Origicide for my title and categories.
This attracts the audience as it makes the information
easier for them to read, The font Origicide makes the
page more interesting, and also appeals to fans of
rock as it is a gothic style font.
Colour Scheme Uses the colour scheme of red, white
and black.
This attracts the audience as my audience research
found that these three colours were the colours that
my target audience associated with the rock genre
the most. It also is the same colour scheme as the
front cover, which creates the house style for the
magazine.
4. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
Text The text is broken up by pull quotes This attracts the audience as it makes it easier to
read, as the text is in sections rather than a large
block of text.
Main Image The main image shows the band
playing. They are wearing jeans,
converse, band t-shirts etc.
This attracts the audience as it makes them interested
in the band because their appearance is appealing to
fans of rock.
Headline Bold font
Headline is the name of the band
The attracts the audience as it is attention grabbing
and because the band is a new one, people will be
interested to find out about them.
Colour Scheme Continues with the house style of red,
white and black
Appeals to the audience as the results of my audience
research show that they associate these three colours
with the rock genre.
