1. In what ways does your media product use develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2. What is similar with my front cover and the already established front covers is that all of the main focus would be directly towards the artists as all are close up shots of them. Having close up shots with humourless look on their faces determines the genre that they are implying on right away. Within this case it would be mostly rock with the exception of country and pop. There is also a colour scheme that consists of not too bright colours as it would remove the focus of the main image . Keeping the colour scheme like that to a certain extent would reveal the target audience as my colour scheme of brown is more towards young adults as brown expresses reliability therefore they being reliant on this magazine..
3. The differences between my front cover and these front covers is that already you can comprehend that they are more of the rock type genre then my one seems to appear. They are considered to be more of the rock type due to their use of dark colours as they portray to be more sinister in a sort of way. Including that the use of black is also used, it demonstrates the strong statement they are giving out to their target audiences that it would be more of a serious magazine hugely focusing on the artist work and not on their personal life's. It would also be the types of fonts these magazines use- they are mostly bold and white while with my front over the size of the font is smaller then these ones shown here. Using larger fonts connotes a eye catching technique editors use to catch the attention of their audience and to also gain visual memory towards them if they are considering buying them the next time. I have used smaller fonts mainly due to having only the “AMY ROXY” the main attention so people would become aware of her name.
