2. In my opening sequence for my thriller I tried to attract
my audience in as many ways as possible. These
techniques used to attract/address my audience were
used at various stages of production, this was to retain
the viewers once I had initially attracted them to the
opening. I did not want to loose the viewers interest
after gaining it.
3. QUESTIONNAIRE
To gain an understanding of what see within my film I
developed a question, the questionnaire was designed
to seek information from my target audience so I could
then later use it to help me attract/address them. I
asked specific questions relating to the thriller so that I
would attracts my audience to certain movies.
4. EDITING
To try and obtain my audiences immediate attention I did have my
film in chronological order, this was done because I had tried it
normally and watch it back and as a viewer I become bored quick
and noticed the thriller was very slow and even started to drag on
towards the end. So I then decided to start with a scene that
happens later on, this would instantly grab my viewers and
attention and make my viewer want to continue watching to find
out how the scene got to were it was.
5. Conventions
I used typical conventions of thriller movies such as action scenes
and cliff hangers to help attract/address my audience. This is
because I found out through my previous research that these
conventions are what attract audience to thriller movies as Many
viewers will expect many of these conventions when paying to see
a movie form the thriller genre.
